Act 27:1 וכאשר נגמר דיננו לעבר באניה אל־איטליא מסרו את־פולוס ומקצת אסירים אחרים אל־שר המאה לגדוד אגוסטוס ושמו יוליוס׃
Act 27:2 ונרד באניה אדרמטית נכונה ללכת על־פני חוף אסיא ונעבר הימה ויהי אתנו ארסטרכוס מקדון מן־תסלוניקי׃
Act 27:3 וממחרת הגענו לצידון ויוליוס עשה חסד עם־פולוס וינח לו ללכת אל־מידעיו למען ישיבו נפשו׃
Act 27:4 ונלך משם ונעבר בסביבות קיפרוס כי הרוחות היו לנגדנו׃
Act 27:5 ונעבר את־הים אשר לפני קיליקיא ופמפוליא ונבא אל־מורא אשר בלוקיא׃
Act 27:6 וימצא־שם שר המאה אניה אלכסנדרית באה לאיטליא ויעבירנו אל־תוכה׃
Act 27:7 והאניה הלכה בכבדות ימים רבים ואחרי אשר יגענו ובאנו אל־מול קנידוס לא הניחנו הרוח לחתר אל־היבשה ונעבר מצד קריטי על־פני הר סלמוני׃
Act 27:8 ואחרי אשר עברנו בתלאות באנו למקום אחד קלי לימנס שמו וקרובה לו עיר ושמה לסיא׃
Act 27:9 ויהי מקץ ימים רבים הגיעה עת הסכנה לירדי הים כי גם־הצום כבר עבר ויזהר אתם פולוס׃
Act 27:10 ויאמר אליהם אנשים ראה אני כי הליכתנו תהיה אך־זדון ונזק גדול לא למשא ולאניה לבד כי אם־גם לנפשותינו׃
Act 27:11 ושר המאה שמע אל־רב החבל ואל־בעל האניה ואל־דברי פולוס לא שמע׃
Act 27:12 ובאשר החוף לא טוב לעמד־בו בימי הסתו יעצו הרבים לעבר משם כי אמרו אולי נוכל הגיע לפיניכס וישבנו שם בימי הסתו והוא חוף בקריטי פונה לפאת דרום מערבה ולפאת צפון מערבה׃
Act 27:13 ורוח נשבת לאט מן־הדרום והם חשבים שתצלח עצתם ויעלו העוגין ויעברו לעמת שפת אי קריטי׃
Act 27:14 וכמעט אחר כן ותפגע באי רוח נחשל אשר אוריקלידון יקרא לה׃
Act 27:15 ותטרף האניה ולא־יכלה לעמד נגד הרוח ונרף ידינו ממנה וננדף׃
Act 27:16 ותרץ האניה אל־עבר אי־קטן קלודה שמו וכמעט לא יכלנו לאחז העברה׃
Act 27:17 ואחרי משכם אותה אליהם הביאו לעזרתם כל־אשר השיגה ידם ויחבשו את־דפני האניה ומיראתם פן־יפלו אל־בין רכסי החול הורידו את הקלעים ונעבר הלאה׃
Act 27:18 ויהי הסער הולך וסער עלינו וממחרת הטילו את־המשא אל־הים׃
Act 27:19 וביום השלישי הטילו בידיהם את־כלי האניה אל־הים׃
Act 27:20 ויהי ימים רבים גם־השמש גם־הכוכבים לא נראו והסערה חזקה עלינו עד־מאד ותכרת ממנו כל־תקוה׃
Act 27:21 ופולוס עמד בתוכם אחרי האריכם בצום ויאמר אנשים לו שמעתם אלי ולא יצאתם מקריטי כי אז לא קרנו הנזק הזה במריכם׃
Act 27:22 ועתה אני אמר אליכם חזקו ואמצו כי לא־תאבד נפש מכם בלתי האניה לבדה׃
Act 27:23 כי־בלילה הזה נצב עלי מלאך האלהים אשר־לו אנכי ואשר אני עבד אתו׃
Act 27:24 ויאמר אל־תירא פולוס עוד עמוד תעמד לפני קיסר ועתה הנה נתן־לך האלהים את־כל־ההלכים אתך באניה׃
Act 27:25 על־כן אנשים חזקו ואמצו כי מאמין אני לאלהים כי־כן יהיה כאשר נאמר אלי׃
Act 27:26 אך השלך נשלך אל־אחד האיים׃
Act 27:27 ויהי כבוא ליל ארבעה עשר לטלטולנו בים אדריה כחצות הלילה ויחשבו המלחים כי־קרבה להם יבשת׃
Act 27:28 ויורידו את־האנך וימצאו עמק הים עשרים קומה ויעברו מעט ויורידו את־האנך שנית וימצאו קומות חמש עשרה׃
Act 27:29 וייראו פן־יפגעו בשני הסלעים וישליכו מעל־אחורי האניה ארבעה עוגינים אל־הים ויכספו לאור היום׃
Act 27:30 והמלחים בקשו לברח מן־האניה ויורידו את־העברה אל־הים באמרם כי יש את־נפשם לשלח עוגינים גם־מראש האניה׃
Act 27:31 ויאמר פולוס אל־שר המאה ואל־אנשי הצבא לאמר אם־הם לא־יעמדו עתנו באניה לא תוכלו אתם להנצל׃
Act 27:32 ויקצצו אנשי הצבא את־חבלי העברה ויתנוה לנפול׃
Act 27:33 והבקר טרם יאור ויבקש פולוס מכלם לטעם־לחם לאמר היום יום ארבעה עשר אשר חכיתם בצום ולא טעמתם לחם׃
Act 27:34 על־כן קרא אני אתכם לטעם לחם כי הוא לתשועתכם כי איש מכם לא־יפל משערת ראשו ארצה׃
Act 27:35 הוא דבר את־הדברים האלה והוא לקח את־הלחם ויודה לאלהים לפני כלם ויבצע ויחל לאכל׃
Act 27:36 ויאמץ לב כלם ויטעמו־אכל גם־המה׃
Act 27:37 ואנחנו כל־נפש אשר באניה מאתים ושבעים ושש׃
Act 27:38 ויאכלו לשבעה ויקלו מעל־האניה ויטילו את־הצדה אל־הים׃
Act 27:39 הבקר אור והם לא הכירו את־הארץ אבל ראו כמפרץ הים וחוף לו ויועצו לנהג אליו את־האניה אם־יוכלו׃
Act 27:40 ויגדעו את־העוגינים ויעזבום לים ויתירו גם־את־מיתרי המנהיג ויפרשו מפרש התרן אל־פני הרוח ויבקשו לבא אל־החוף׃
Act 27:41 ויפגעו במקום אשר הים משני עבריו ותדבק־בו האניה ותעמד ראשה לא ינוע ואחוריה נשברו משאון הגלים׃
Act 27:42 ותהי עצת אנשי הצבא להמית את־האסירים פן־ישחה איש מהם ונמלט׃
Act 27:43 ושר המאה חפץ להציל את־פולוס וינא את־עצתם ויאמר הידע לשחות ירד ויעבר ליבשה בראשנה והנשארים אלה על־קרשים ואלה על־שברי האניה׃
Act 27:44 ויהי־כן וימלטו כלם אל־היבשה׃
Act 28:1 וכאשר נמלטנו נודע לנו כי־שם האי מליטי׃
Act 28:2 והלעזים לא המעיטו חסדם עמנו כי־בערו אש ויאספו את־כלנו אליהם מפני הגשם היורד ומפני הקר׃
Act 28:3 ופולוס אסף לו ערמת קצים וישם על־המוקד ויצא אפעה מפני החם ויאחז בידו׃
Act 28:4 ויראו הלעזים את־השרץ תלוי על־ידו ויאמרו איש אל־רעהו אכן רצח האיש הזה הנמלט מן־הים ורוח נקם לא־הניח לו לחיות׃
Act 28:5 וינער השרץ מעל ידו אל־תוך האש ולא־הרע לו׃
Act 28:6 והם הוחילו לו אשר יצבה גופו או־יפל מת פתאם ויחילו עד־בוש והנה לא־קרהו כל־אסון ויהפך לבם ויאמרו אלהים הוא׃
Act 28:7 ובסביבי המקום ההוא שדות אשר לראש אנשי האי ושמו פובליוס הוא הביא אתנו לביתו ויכלכל אתנו בטובו שלשת ימים׃
Act 28:8 ואבי פובליוס נופל למשכב בקדחת ובמחלה המעים ויבא אליו פולוס ויתפלל וישם עליו את־ידיו וירפאהו׃
Act 28:9 ואחרי־כן באו גם־החלים האחרים אשר באי וירפאו׃
Act 28:10 ויכבדנו כבוד גדול ובלכתנו משם ספקו לנו די צרכנו׃
Act 28:11 ואחרי שלשת חדשים עברנו משם באניה אלכסנדרית אשר עמדה באי בימי הסתו ואות דגלה התאומים׃
Act 28:12 ונבא אל־סרקוסא ונשב־שם שלשת ימים׃
Act 28:13 משם סבנו ונבא אל־רגיון ובנשב רוח דרומית ביום המחרת באנו ביום השני אל־פוטיולי׃
Act 28:14 ושם מצאנו אחים ויבקשו ממנו לשבת אתם שבעת ימים ובכן הלכנו אל־רומי׃
Act 28:15 וישמעו האחים כי־באים אנחנו ויצאו משם לקראתנו עד לשוק אפיוס ועד לשלשת החניות וירא אתם פולוס ויודה לאלהים ויתחזק׃
Act 28:16 ואחר באנו אל־רומי (העביר שר המאה את־האסירים אל־שר הצבא ו) לפולוס הניחו לשבת לבדו עם־איש הצבא השמר אותו׃
Act 28:17 ויהי מקץ שלשת ימים ויקרא פולוס אליו את־ראשי היהודים ויקהלו אליו ויאמר אליהם אנשים אחים לא מעלתי מעל בעמנו ובחקות אבותינו ויאסרוני בירושלים וימסרוני לידי הרומיים׃
Act 28:18 והם אחרי חקרם אתי אמרו להתירני כי לא־מצאו לי משפט־מות׃
Act 28:19 והיהודים קמו־בי ואהי מכרח לקרא את־קיסר לדיני ואין בלבבי לשטון את־עמי׃
Act 28:20 ובעבור זאת קראתי לכם לראותכם ולדבר עמכם כי בגלל תקות ישראל אסור אני בכבל הזה׃
Act 28:21 ויאמרו אליו לא נתנו לנו אגרות מארץ יהודה על־אדותיך ולא־בא הנה אחד מן־האחים אשר הגיד או־דבר עליך דבר רע׃
Act 28:22 אמנם חפצים אנחנו לשמע את־אשר בלבבך כי נודע לנו אשר בכל מקום יריבו אל־הכת הזאת׃
Act 28:23 וישימו לו מועד ויבאו אליו רבים אל־מלונו ויעד בהם ויבאר את־מלכות אלהים ויוכח להם עניני ישוע מתורת משה ומן־הנביאים מבקר עד־ערב׃
Act 28:24 ויש אשר שמעו אל־דבריו ויש אשר לא האמינו׃
Act 28:25 ויהי כי חלקו בדעתם ויפנו וילכו לדרכם ופולוס מדבר רק הדבר הזה היטב דבר רוח הקדש לאבותינו בפי ישעיהו הנביא לאמר׃
Act 28:26 לך ואמרת לעם הזה שמעו שמוע ואל־תבינו וראו ראו ואל־תדעו׃
Act 28:27 כי שמן לב העם הזה ואזניו כבדו ואת־עניו השע פן־יראה בעיניו ובאזניו ישמע ולבבו יבין ושב ורפאתיו׃
Act 28:28 לכן דעו כי אל־הגוים נשלחה תשועת אלהים והמה ישמעו׃
Act 28:29 (ויהי בדברו זאת ויעברו מעליו היהודים ויתוכחו הרבה איש עם־רעהו)׃
Act 28:30 ופולוס ישב שנתים ימים בביתו אשר שכר־לו ויקבל את כל־הבאים אליו׃
Act 28:31 ויקרא את־מלכות האלהים וילמד את־דרכי ישוע המשיח אדנינו בלי כל־פחד ואין מנע׃

Acts of the Jewish Apostles 27-28
Act 27:1 And when it was decided that we should sail to Italy, they delivered Sha’ul and some other prisoners to one named Julius, a captain of the Augustan regiment.
Act 27:2 And having embarked in a ship from Adramyttium, about to sail along the coasts of Asia, did set sail. Aristarchos, a Makedonian of Thessalonike, was with us.
Act 27:3 And on the next day we landed at Tsiḏon. And Julius treated Sha’ul kindly and allowed him to go to his friends to receive attention.
Act 27:4 And from there we put out to sea and sailed close to Cyprus, because the winds were against us.
Act 27:5 And having sailed over the sea along Kilikia and Pamphulia, we came to Mura, of Lukia.
Act 27:6 And there the captain, having found an Alexandrian ship sailing to Italy, did put us on board.
Act 27:7 And having sailed slowly many days, and arriving with difficulty off Knidos, the wind not allowing us to proceed, we sailed close to Crete, off Salmone.
Act 27:8 And passing it with difficulty, we came to a place called Fair Havens, near the city of Lasea.
Act 27:9 And much time having passed, and the sailing now being dangerous, because the Fast was already over, Sha’ul advised them,
Act 27:10 saying, “Men, I see that this voyage is going to end with damage and great loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.”
Act 27:11 But the captain was persuaded by the pilot and the owner of the ship, rather than what Sha’ul said.
Act 27:12 And because the harbor was unsuitable to winter in, the greater part advised to set sail from there too, if somehow they were able to reach Phoenix, a harbor of Crete facing southwest and northwest, to pass the winter.
Act 27:13 And a south wind blowing softly, thinking they had obtained their purpose, having lifted anchor, they sailed along Crete, close inshore.
Act 27:14 And not long after, a stormy head wind rushed down from it, called Northeaster.
Act 27:15 And when the ship was caught in it, and unable to head against the wind, we let her go and were driven.
Act 27:16 And having run under a small island called Klauda, we were hardly able to control the small boat.
Act 27:17 And having hoisted it, they used helps to undergird the ship. And fearing lest they should run aground on Surtis, they lowered the tackle and so were driven.
Act 27:18 And because we were exceedingly storm-tossed, the next day they began to throw overboard.
Act 27:19 And on the third day we threw out the ship’s tackle with our own hands.
Act 27:20 When, now, neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small storm beat on us, all expectancy that we would be saved was taken away.
Act 27:21 And when there had been a long abstinence from food, then Sha’ul, standing in the midst of them, said, “Truly, men, you should have listened to me not to have sailed from Crete and sustained this damage and loss.
Act 27:22 “And now I urge you to take courage, for there shall be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.
Act 27:23 “For tonight a messenger of the Elohim to whom I belong and whom I serve, stood by me,
Act 27:24 saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Sha’ul, you have to be brought before Caesar. And look, Elohim has favorably given you all those who sail with you.’
Act 27:25 “Therefore take courage, men, for I believe Elohim that it shall be according to the way it was spoken to me.
Act 27:26 “However, we need to run aground on some island.”
Act 27:27 And when the fourteenth night came, as we were driven up and down in the Adriatic Sea, about midnight the sailors suspected that they were drawing near some land.
Act 27:28 So, taking soundings, they found it to be twenty fathoms. And a little farther on they took soundings again and found it to be fifteen fathoms.
Act 27:29 And, fearing lest we should run aground on the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern, and were praying for day to come.
Act 27:30 But when the sailors were seeking to escape from the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under pretence of going to cast out anchors from the prow,
Act 27:31 Sha’ul said to the captain and the soldiers, “If these do not remain in the ship, it is impossible for you to be saved.”
Act 27:32 Then the soldiers did cut the ropes of the boat and let it fall off.
Act 27:33 And when day was about to come, Sha’ul urged them all to take food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day you have continued without food, and eaten none at all.
Act 27:34 “So I urge you to take food, for this concerns your safety, since not a hair shall fall from the head of any of you.”
Act 27:35 And having said this, he took bread and gave thanks to Elohim in the presence of them all. And when he had broken it he began to eat.
Act 27:36 And they were all encouraged, and also took food themselves.
Act 27:37 And all of us were two hundred and seventy-six beings in the ship.
Act 27:38 And being satisfied with food, they were lightening the ship, throwing out the wheat into the sea.
Act 27:39 And when day came, they did not recognize the land, but they noted a certain bay with a beach, onto which they planned to run the ship if possible.
Act 27:40 And having cast off the anchors, they left them in the sea, meanwhile untying the rudder ropes. And they hoisted the foresail to the wind and made for the beach.
Act 27:41 But coming upon a place where two seas met, they grounded the ship, and the prow stuck fast and remained immovable, but the stern was broken by the pounding of the surf.
Act 27:42 And the soldiers intended to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim away and escape.
Act 27:43 But the captain, intending to save Sha’ul, kept them from their intention, and commanded those able to swim to jump first and get to land,
Act 27:44 and the rest, some indeed on boards, and some on items of the ship. And so it came to be that all reached the land in safety.
Act 28:1 And having come to safety, they then learned that the island was called Melite.
Act 28:2 And the foreigners showed us extraordinary kindness, for they kindled a fire and received us all, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold.
Act 28:3 But Sha’ul, having gathered a bundle of sticks, and having laid them on the fire, an adder came out because of the heat, and fastened itself on his hand.
Act 28:4 And when the foreigners saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man is certainly a murderer, whom, though saved from the sea, still right-ruling does not allow to live.”
Act 28:5 Then, indeed, he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no evil.
Act 28:6 And expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall down dead, they waited for a long time and saw no harm come to him, changing their minds they said that he was a mighty one.
Act 28:7 And in the neighborhood of that place there were lands of the chief of the island, whose name was Poplius, who received us and housed us in a friendly way for three days.
Act 28:8 And it came to be that the father of Poplius lay sick with inflammation and dysentery. Sha’ul went in to him, and having prayed he laid his hands on him and healed him.
Act 28:9 And when this took place, the rest of those on the island who had diseases also came and were healed,
Act 28:10 who also respected us in many ways. And when we were setting sail, they provided us with our needs.
Act 28:11 And after three months we set sail in an Alexandrian ship which had wintered at the island, and whose figurehead was “Twin Brothers.”1 Footnote: 1Or Sons of Zeus, or Castor and Pollux.
Act 28:12 And having landed at Syracuse, we stayed three days,
Act 28:13 from which place we went round and arrived at Rhegium. And after one day the south wind blew, and the second day we came to Puteoli,
Act 28:14 where we found brothers, and were invited to stay with them seven days. And so we went toward Rome.
Act 28:15 And when the brothers there heard about us, they came to meet us as far as Forum of Appius and Three Taverns. When Sha’ul saw them, he thanked Elohim and took courage.
Act 28:16 And when we came to Rome, the captain delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard, but Sha’ul was allowed to stay by himself with the soldier guarding him.
Act 28:17 And it came to be after three days that Sha’ul called the leaders of the Yehuḏim together. And when they had come together, he said to them, “Men, brothers, though I have done none at all against our people or the practices of our fathers, I was delivered as a prisoner from Yerushalayim into the hands of the Romans,
Act 28:18 who, when they had examined me, intended to let me go, because there was no cause for putting me to death.
Act 28:19 “But the Yehuḏim spoke against it, and I was compelled to appeal to Caesar, not that I had any accusation against my nation.
Act 28:20 “This therefore is the reason I called for you, to see you and speak with you. It is because of the expectation of Yisra’ĕl that I am bound with this chain.”
Act 28:21 And they said to him, “We neither received letters from Yehuḏah concerning you, nor have any of the brothers who came reported or spoken whatever wicked about you.
Act 28:22 “And we think it right to hear from you what you think, for indeed, concerning this sect, we know that it is spoken against everywhere.”
Act 28:23 And having appointed him a day, many came to him where he was staying, to whom he was explaining, earnestly witnessing about the reign of Elohim, and persuading them concerning יהושע from both the Torah of Moshe and the Prophets, from morning until evening.
Act 28:24 And some indeed were persuaded by what was said, but some believed not.
Act 28:25 And disagreeing with one another, they began to leave, after Sha’ul had spoken one word, “The Set-apart Spirit rightly spoke through Yesha’Yahu the prophet to our fathers,
Act 28:26 saying, ‘Go to this people and say, “Hearing you shall hear but by no means understand, and seeing you shall see but by no means perceive,
Act 28:27 for the heart of this people has become thickened, and with their ears they heard heavily, and they have closed their eyes, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn back, and I should heal them.” ’1 Footnote: 1See Mt. 13:15.
Act 28:28 “Therefore let it be known to you that the deliverance of Elohim has been sent to the goyim, and they shall hear!”
Act 28:29 And when he had said these words, the Yehuḏim went away and had a great dispute among themselves.
Act 28:30 And Sha’ul stayed two entire years in his own rented house, and was receiving all who came to him,
Act 28:31 proclaiming the reign of Elohim and teaching about the Master יהושע Messiah with all boldness, unhindered.

Act 27:29 And, fearing lest we should run aground on the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern, and were praying for day to come.
Act 27:30 But when the sailors were seeking to escape from the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under pretence of going to cast out anchors from the prow,
Act 27:31 Sha’ul said to the captain and the soldiers, “If these do not remain in the ship, it is impossible for you to be saved.”
Act 27:32 Then the soldiers did cut the ropes of the boat and let it fall off.
Act 27:33 And when day was about to come, Sha’ul urged them all to take food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day you have continued without food, and eaten none at all.
Act 27:34 “So I urge you to take food, for this concerns your safety, since not a hair shall fall from the head of any of you.”
Act 27:35 And having said this, he took bread and gave thanks to Elohim in the presence of them all. And when he had broken it he began to eat.
Act 27:36 And they were all encouraged, and also took food themselves.
Act 27:37 And all of us were two hundred and seventy-six beings in the ship.
Act 27:38 And being satisfied with food, they were lightening the ship, throwing out the wheat into the sea.
Act 27:39 And when day came, they did not recognize the land, but they noted a certain bay with a beach, onto which they planned to run the ship if possible.
Act 27:40 And having cast off the anchors, they left them in the sea, meanwhile untying the rudder ropes. And they hoisted the foresail to the wind and made for the beach.
Act 27:41 But coming upon a place where two seas met, they grounded the ship, and the prow stuck fast and remained immovable, but the stern was broken by the pounding of the surf.
Act 27:42 And the soldiers intended to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim away and escape.
Act 27:43 But the captain, intending to save Sha’ul, kept them from their intention, and commanded those able to swim to jump first and get to land,
Act 27:44 and the rest, some indeed on boards, and some on items of the ship. And so it came to be that all reached the land in safety.
Act 28:1 And having come to safety, they then learned that the island was called Melite.
Act 28:2 And the foreigners showed us extraordinary kindness, for they kindled a fire and received us all, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold.
Act 28:3 But Sha’ul, having gathered a bundle of sticks, and having laid them on the fire, an adder came out because of the heat, and fastened itself on his hand.
Act 28:4 And when the foreigners saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man is certainly a murderer, whom, though saved from the sea, still right-ruling does not allow to live.”
Act 28:5 Then, indeed, he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no evil.
Act 28:6 And expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall down dead, they waited for a long time and saw no harm come to him, changing their minds they said that he was a mighty one.
Act 28:7 And in the neighborhood of that place there were lands of the chief of the island, whose name was Poplius, who received us and housed us in a friendly way for three days.
Act 28:8 And it came to be that the father of Poplius lay sick with inflammation and dysentery. Sha’ul went in to him, and having prayed he laid his hands on him and healed him.
Act 28:9 And when this took place, the rest of those on the island who had diseases also came and were healed,
Act 28:10 who also respected us in many ways. And when we were setting sail, they provided us with our needs.
Act 28:11 And after three months we set sail in an Alexandrian ship which had wintered at the island, and whose figurehead was “Twin Brothers.”1 Footnote: 1Or Sons of Zeus, or Castor and Pollux.
Act 28:12 And having landed at Syracuse, we stayed three days,
Act 28:13 from which place we went round and arrived at Rhegium. And after one day the south wind blew, and the second day we came to Puteoli,
Act 28:14 where we found brothers, and were invited to stay with them seven days. And so we went toward Rome.
Act 28:15 And when the brothers there heard about us, they came to meet us as far as Forum of Appius and Three Taverns. When Sha’ul saw them, he thanked Elohim and took courage.
Act 28:16 And when we came to Rome, the captain delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard, but Sha’ul was allowed to stay by himself with the soldier guarding him.
Act 28:17 And it came to be after three days that Sha’ul called the leaders of the Yehuḏim together. And when they had come together, he said to them, “Men, brothers, though I have done none at all against our people or the practices of our fathers, I was delivered as a prisoner from Yerushalayim into the hands of the Romans,
Act 28:18 who, when they had examined me, intended to let me go, because there was no cause for putting me to death.
Act 28:19 “But the Yehuḏim spoke against it, and I was compelled to appeal to Caesar, not that I had any accusation against my nation.
Act 28:20 “This therefore is the reason I called for you, to see you and speak with you. It is because of the expectation of Yisra’ĕl that I am bound with this chain.”
Act 28:21 And they said to him, “We neither received letters from Yehuḏah concerning you, nor have any of the brothers who came reported or spoken whatever wicked about you.
Act 28:22 “And we think it right to hear from you what you think, for indeed, concerning this sect, we know that it is spoken against everywhere.”
Act 28:23 And having appointed him a day, many came to him where he was staying, to whom he was explaining, earnestly witnessing about the reign of Elohim, and persuading them concerning יהושע from both the Torah of Moshe and the Prophets, from morning until evening.
Act 28:24 And some indeed were persuaded by what was said, but some believed not.
Act 28:25 And disagreeing with one another, they began to leave, after Sha’ul had spoken one word, “The Set-apart Spirit rightly spoke through Yesha’Yahu the prophet to our fathers,
Act 28:26 saying, ‘Go to this people and say, “Hearing you shall hear but by no means understand, and seeing you shall see but by no means perceive,
Act 28:27 for the heart of this people has become thickened, and with their ears they heard heavily, and they have closed their eyes, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn back, and I should heal them.” ’1 Footnote: 1See Mt. 13:15.
Act 28:28 “Therefore let it be known to you that the deliverance of Elohim has been sent to the goyim, and they shall hear!”
Act 28:29 And when he had said these words, the Yehuḏim went away and had a great dispute among themselves.
Act 28:30 And Sha’ul stayed two entire years in his own rented house, and was receiving all who came to him,
Act 28:31 proclaiming the reign of Elohim and teaching about the Master יהושע Messiah with all boldness, unhindered.

Act 8:1 ושאול גם־הוא היה רצה בהרגתו ותהי ביום ההוא רדיפה גדולה על־הקהילה אשר בירושלים ויפצו כלם בערי יהודה ושמרון לבד מן־השליחים׃
Act 8:2 ואנשים יראי אלהים נשאו את־אסטפנוס ויקברהו ויספדו עליו מספד גדול׃
Act 8:3 ושאול החריב את־הקהילה וישוטט בבתים ויסחב משם אנשים ונשים ויסגירם לכלא׃
Act 8:4 והנפוצים עברו בארץ ויבשרו את־הדבר׃
Act 8:5 ופילפוס ירד אל־עיר שמרון ויכרז להם את־המשיח׃
Act 8:6 ויקשב המון העם לב אחד אל־אמרי פילפוס בשמעם ובראותם את־האתות אשר עשה׃
Act 8:7 כי רבים היו אחוזי רוחות הטמאה והרוחות יצאו מהם צעקות צעקה גדולה ורבים נכי אברים ופסחים ונרפאו׃
Act 8:8 ותהי שמחה גדולה בעיר ההיא׃
Act 8:9 ואיש אחד ושמו שמעון היה מלפנים בעיר מכשף ומבהיל את־עם שמרון באמרו על־נפשו כי גדול הוא׃
Act 8:10 וכלם הקשיבו אליו מקטנם ועד־גדולם לאמר זה הוא גבורת האלהים הגדולה׃
Act 8:11 ויקשיבו אליו על־היותו מבהיל אותם בכשפיו ימים רבים׃
Act 8:12 ויהי כאשר האמינו לפילפוס בבשרו את־מלכות האלהים ואת־שם ישוע המשיח ויטבלו אנשים ונשים׃
Act 8:13 ויאמן שמעון גם־הוא ויטבל וידבק בפילפוס וירא את־האתות והמפתים הגדלים אשר נעשו ויתמה׃
Act 8:14 וישמעו השליחים אשר בירושלים כי־קבלה שמרון את־דבר האלהים וישלחו אליהם את־פטרוס ואת־יוחנן׃
Act 8:15 וירדו שמה ויתפללו בעדם אשר יקבלו את־רוח הקדש׃
Act 8:16 כי הרוח לא־צלחה עד־עתה על־אחד מהם והם רק־נטבלים לשם האדון ישוע׃
Act 8:17 ויסמכו את־ידיהם עליהם ויקבלו את־רוח הקדש׃
Act 8:18 ויהי בראות שמעון כי נתן רוח הקדש בסמיכת ידי השליחים ויבא לפניהם כסף׃
Act 8:19 ויאמר תנו־נא גם־לי שלטן כשלטן הזה אשר יקבל את־רוח הקדש כל אשר־אשים עליו את־ידי׃
Act 8:20 ויאמר אליו פטרוס כספך יהי אתך לאבדון יען אשר אמרת לקנות במחיר את־מתת האלהים׃
Act 8:21 אין־לך חלק וגורל בדבר הזה כי לבבך איננו ישר לפני האלהים׃
Act 8:22 ועתה שוב מרעתך זאת והתחנן אל־האלהים אולי תסלח לך מזמת לבבך׃
Act 8:23 כי־ראה אנכי כי־באת בידי מרורת רוש וחרצבות רשע׃
Act 8:24 ויען שמעון ויאמר העתירו אתם בעדי אל־יהוה לבלתי־בוא עלי דבר מכל אשר אמרתם׃
Act 8:25 והמה העידו ודברו את־דבר יהוה וישובו ירושלים ויבשרו את־הבשורה בכפרים רבים אשר לשמרונים׃
Act 8:26 וידבר מלאך־יהוה אל־פילפוס לאמר קום לך הנגבה על־הדרך הירדת מירושלים עזתה והיא חרבה׃
Act 8:27 ויקם וילך והנה איש כושי סריס ושליט לקנדק מלכת־כוש וממנה על־כל־גנזיה אשר עלה אל־ירושלים להשתחות׃
Act 8:28 ויהי בשובו והוא ישב על־מרכבתו וקרא בספר ישעיה הנביא׃
Act 8:29 ויאמר הרוח אל־פילפוס גשה והלוה על־המרכבה הזאת׃
Act 8:30 וירץ פילפוס אליה וישמע אתו קרא בספר ישעיה הנביא ויאמר הגם תבין את־אשר אתה קורא׃
Act 8:31 ויאמר ואיככה אוכל ואין איש אשר יורני ויבקש מאת פילפוס לעלות ולשבת אצלו׃
Act 8:32 וזה ענין הכתוב אשר קרא כשה לטבח יובל וכרחל לפני גוזזיה נאלמה ולא־יפתח פיו׃
Act 8:33 בעצר משפטו לקח ואת־דורו מי ישוחח כי נגזרו מארץ חייו׃
Act 8:34 ויען הסריס ויאמר אל־פילפוס אשאלה ממך על־מי הנביא מדבר את־זאת על־נפשו או על־איש אחר׃
Act 8:35 ויפתח פילפוס את־פיו ויחל מן־הכתוב הזה ויבשר אותו את־ישוע׃
Act 8:36 ויהי בעברם בדרך ויבאו אל־מקום מים ויאמר הסריס הנה־מים מה־ימנעני מהטבל׃
Act 8:37 (ויאמר פילפוס אם־מאמין אתה בכל־לבבך מתר־לך ויען ויאמר אני מאמין כי ישוע המשיח בן־האלהים הוא)׃
Act 8:38 ויצו להעמיד את־המרכבה וירדו שניהם אל־תוך המים פילפוס והסריס ויטבל אותו׃
Act 8:39 ויהי כי עלו מן־המים וישא רוח יהוה את־פילפוס והסריס לא ראהו עוד וילך לדרכו שמח׃
Act 8:40 ופילפוס נמצא באשדוד ויעבר ויבשר בכל־הערים עד־באו לקיסריה׃
Act 9:1 ושאול עודנו יפח זעם ורצח על־תלמידי האדון ויבא אל־הכהן הגדול׃
Act 9:2 וישאל מאתו מכתבים לדמשק אל־בתי כנסיות למען אשר יאסר את־אשר ימצא אחזים בדרך ההיא אנשים או נשים ויביאם ירושלים׃
Act 9:3 ויהי הוא הלך וקרב לדמשק והנה פתאם נגה עליו מסביב אור מן־השמים׃
Act 9:4 ויפל ארצה וישמע קול מדבר אליו שאול שאול למה תרדפני׃
Act 9:5 ויאמר מי אתה אדני ויאמר האדון אנכי ישוע אשר אתה רודף (קשה לך לבעט בדרבנות׃
Act 9:6 והוא חרד ונבעת ויאמר אדני מה־תחפץ ואעשה ויען האדון) קום לך העירה ויאמר לך את־אשר עליך לעשות׃
Act 9:7 והאנשים אשר הלכו אתו עמדו נאלמים כי שמעו את־הקול ואיש לא הביטו׃
Act 9:8 ויקם שאול מן־הארץ ובפתחו את־עיניו לא ראה איש ויחזיקו בידו ויוליכהו לדמשק׃
Act 9:9 ותחשכנה עיניו מראות שלשת ימים ולא אכל ולא שתה׃
Act 9:10 ותלמיד אחד היה בדמשק חנניה שמו ויאמר אליו האדון במחזה חנניה ויאמר הנני אדני׃
Act 9:11 ויאמר אליו האדון קום לך אל־הרחוב הנקרא הישר ושאל בבית יהודה לאיש טרסי ושמו שאול כי הנה־הוא מתפלל׃
Act 9:12 וירא במחזה והנה־איש ושמו חנניה בא החדרה וישם עליו את־ידו למען ישוב ויראה׃
Act 9:13 ויען חנניה ויאמר אדני שמעתי רבים מספרים על־האיש הזה כמה רעות עשה לקדושיך בירושלים׃
Act 9:14 וגם־פה רשות יש־לו מאת ראשי הכהנים לאסר את־כל־הקראים בשמך׃
Act 9:15 ויאמר אליו האדון לך כי־כלי חפץ הוא לי לשאת את־שמי לפני גוים ומלכים ולפני בני ישראל׃
Act 9:16 כי אני אראהו כמה יש־לו לסבל למען שמי׃
Act 9:17 וילך חנניה ויבא הביתה וישם את־ידיו עליו ויאמר שאול אחי האדון ישוע הנראה אליך בדרך אשר־באת בה שלחני למען תפקחנה עיניך ותמלא רוח הקדש׃
Act 9:18 וכרגע נפלו מעל עיניו כמו קשקשים ותפקחנה פתאם ויקם ויטבל׃
Act 9:19 ויאכל לחם ויחזק וישב שאול ימים אחדים עם־התלמידים אשר בדמשק׃
Act 9:20 וימהר ויקרא בבתי כנסיות את־ישוע לאמר כי־הוא בן־האלהים הוא׃
Act 9:21 ויתמהו כל־השמעים ויאמרו הלא זה הוא אשר האביד בירושלים את־קראי השם הזה ולמען זאת בא הנה להביאם אסורים לפני ראשי הכהנים׃
Act 9:22 ושאול היה הולך וחזק ויהם את־היהודים ישבי דמשק בהוכיחו כי־זה הוא המשיח׃
Act 9:23 ויהי כי־ארכו־לו שם הימים ויועצו היהודים יחדו להמיתו׃
Act 9:24 ויודע לשאול ארבם והמה שמרו את־השערים יומם ולילה להמיתו׃
Act 9:25 ויקחו אתו התלמידים לילה ויורידהו בסל בעד החומה׃
Act 9:26 ויהי כבוא שאול ירושלימה ויבקש להלות אל־התלמידים וייראו כלם מפניו ולא האמינו כי־תלמיד הוא׃
Act 9:27 ויקח אתו בר־נבא ויביאהו אל־השליחים ויספר להם את אשר־ראה בדרך את־האדון וכי הוא דבר אליו ואשר השמיע באמץ לבו בדמשק את־שם ישוע׃
Act 9:28 ויהי אתם יוצא ובא בירושלים ויקרא באמץ לבו בשם האדון ישוע׃
Act 9:29 וידבר ויתוכח גם עם־היהודים היונים והם זממו להמיתו׃
Act 9:30 וישמעו האחים ויורידו אתו לקיסריה וישלחהו אל־טרסוס׃
Act 9:31 ויהי שלום לקהלות בכל־מקמות יהודה והגליל ושמרון ותבנינה ותתהלכנה ביראת האדון ותרבינה בנחמת רוח הקדש׃
Act 9:32 ויהי בסבב פטרוס בכל־המקמות וירד גם אל־הקדושים אשר ישבו בלד׃
Act 9:33 וימצא־שם איש שמו אניס והוא שכב על־משכבו זה שמנה שנים והוא נכה אברים׃
Act 9:34 ויאמר אליו פטרוס אניס רפאך ישוע המשיח קום הצע את מטתך אתה ויקם כרגע׃
Act 9:35 ויראו אותו כל־ישבי לד והשרון ויפנו אל־האדון׃
Act 9:36 ותלמידה ביפו ושמה טביתא תרגומו צביה והיא מלאה מעשים טובים וצדקות אשר עשתה׃
Act 9:37 ויהי בימים ההם ותחלה ותמת וירחצו אתה וישימוה בעליה׃
Act 9:38 ולד קרובה היא ליפו וישמעו התלמידים כי פטרוס שם וישלחו אליו שני אנשים ויפצרו־בו לבלתי העצל לעבר אליהם׃
Act 9:39 ויקם פטרוס וילך אתם ובבאו העלהו אל־העליה ותגשנה אליו כל־האלמנות בוכיות ומראות לו את הכתנת ואת הבגדים אשר עשתה צביה בעודה עמהן׃
Act 9:40 ויוצא פטרוס את־כלם החוצה ויכרע על־ברכיו ויתפלל ויפן אל־גויתה ויאמר טביתא קומי ותפתח את־עיניה ותרא את־פטרוס ותתעודד׃
Act 9:41 וישלח ידו ויקם אתה ויקרא את־הקדושים ואת־האלמנות ויעמד אתה חיה לפניהם׃
Act 9:42 ויודע הדבר בכל־יפו ויאמינו רבים באדון׃
Act 9:43 ויואל לשבת ביפו ימים רבים עם־בורסי אחד ושמו שמעון׃

Act 9:6 והוא חרד ונבעת ויאמר אדני מה־תחפץ ואעשה ויען האדון) קום לך העירה ויאמר לך את־אשר עליך לעשות׃

Act 9:10 ותלמיד אחד היה בדמשק חנניה שמו ויאמר אליו האדון במחזה חנניה ויאמר הנני אדני׃
Act 9:11 ויאמר אליו האדון קום לך אל־הרחוב הנקרא הישר ושאל בבית יהודה לאיש טרסי ושמו שאול כי הנה־הוא מתפלל׃
Act 9:12 וירא במחזה והנה־איש ושמו חנניה בא החדרה וישם עליו את־ידו למען ישוב ויראה׃
Act 9:13 ויען חנניה ויאמר אדני שמעתי רבים מספרים על־האיש הזה כמה רעות עשה לקדושיך בירושלים׃
Act 9:14 וגם־פה רשות יש־לו מאת ראשי הכהנים לאסר את־כל־הקראים בשמך׃
Act 9:15 ויאמר אליו האדון לך כי־כלי חפץ הוא לי לשאת את־שמי לפני גוים ומלכים ולפני בני ישראל׃
Act 9:16 כי אני אראהו כמה יש־לו לסבל למען שמי׃
Act 9:17 וילך חנניה ויבא הביתה וישם את־ידיו עליו ויאמר שאול אחי האדון ישוע הנראה אליך בדרך אשר־באת בה שלחני למען תפקחנה עיניך ותמלא רוח הקדש׃
Act 9:18 וכרגע נפלו מעל עיניו כמו קשקשים ותפקחנה פתאם ויקם ויטבל׃
Act 9:19 ויאכל לחם ויחזק וישב שאול ימים אחדים עם־התלמידים אשר בדמשק׃
Act 9:20 וימהר ויקרא בבתי כנסיות את־ישוע לאמר כי־הוא בן־האלהים הוא׃
Act 9:21 ויתמהו כל־השמעים ויאמרו הלא זה הוא אשר האביד בירושלים את־קראי השם הזה ולמען זאת בא הנה להביאם אסורים לפני ראשי הכהנים׃
Act 9:22 ושאול היה הולך וחזק ויהם את־היהודים ישבי דמשק בהוכיחו כי־זה הוא המשיח׃

Act 8:1 And Sha’ul was giving approval to his death. And on that day there was a great persecution against the assembly which was at Yerushalayim, and they were all scattered throughout the countries of Yehuḏah and Shomeron, except the emissaries.
Act 8:2 And dedicated men buried Stephanos, and made great lamentation over him.
Act 8:3 But Sha’ul was ravaging the assembly, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, putting them in prison.
Act 8:4 Then those who had been scattered went everywhere bringing the Good News: the Word!
Act 8:5 And going down to the city of Shomeron Philip proclaimed Mashiach to them.
Act 8:6 And the crowds with one mind heeded what Philip said, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
Act 8:7 For unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed, crying with a loud voice, and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.
Act 8:8 And there came to be great joy in that city.
Act 8:9 Now there was a certain man called Shimʽon, who formerly was practicing magic in the city and astonishing the people of Shomeron, claiming to be someone great,
Act 8:10 to whom they all were giving heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This one is the power of Elohim, which is great.”
Act 8:11 And they were giving heed to him because for a long time he had amazed them with his magic.
Act 8:12 And when they believed Philip as he brought the Good News about the reign of Elohim and the Name of יהושע HaMashiach, both men and women were immersed.
Act 8:13 And Shimʽon himself also believed. And when he was immersed he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which took place.
Act 8:14 And when the emissaries who were at Yerushalayim heard that Shomeron had received the Word of Elohim, they sent Kĕpha and Yochanan to them,
Act 8:15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them to receive the Ruach HaKadosh,
Act 8:16 for He had not yet fallen on any of them, but they had only been immersed in the Name of the Master יהושע.
Act 8:17 Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Ruach HaKadosh.
Act 8:18 And Shimʽon, seeing that through the laying on of the hands of the emissaries the Ruach HaKadosh was given, he offered them money,
Act 8:19 saying, “Give me this authority too, so that anyone I lay hands on shall receive the Ruach HaKadosh.”
Act 8:20 But Kĕpha said to him, “Let your silver perish with you, because you thought to buy the gift of Elohim through money!
Act 8:21 “You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before Elohim.
Act 8:22 “Repent therefore of this evil of yours, and plead with Elohim to forgive you the intention of your heart.
Act 8:23 “For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by unrighteousness.”
Act 8:24 But Shimʽon answering, said, “Plead with the Master for me, so that none of what you had said shall come upon me.”
Act 8:25 Then after they had earnestly witnessed and spoken the Word of יהוה, they returned to Yerushalayim, bringing the Good News in many villages of the Shomeronites.
Act 8:26 But a messenger of יהוה spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the way which goes down from Yerushalayim to Azzah.” This is desert.
Act 8:27 And he arose and went, and saw, a man of Kush, a eunuch of great authority under Kandake the sovereigness of the Kushites, who was in charge of all her treasury, and had come to Yerushalayim to worship,
Act 8:28 and was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading the prophet Yesha`Yahu.
Act 8:29 And the Ruach said to Philip, “Go near and join him in that chariot.”
Act 8:30 And running up, Philip heard him reading Yesha`Yahu HaNavi, and said, “Do you know what you are reading?”
Act 8:31 And he said, “How am I able, unless someone guides me?” And he called Philip near, to come up and sit with him.
Act 8:32 And the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, “He was led as a sheep to slaughter, and like a lamb silent before its shearer, so He opened not His mouth.
Act 8:33 “In His humiliation He was deprived of right-ruling. And who shall declare His generation? Because His life was taken from the earth.”1 Footnote: 1Isa. 53:7-8.
Act 8:34 And the eunuch, answering Philip, said, “I ask you, about whom does the prophet say this, about himself or about some other?”
Act 8:35 And Philip opening his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, brought to him the Good News: יהושע!
Act 8:36 And as they were going on the way, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “Look, water! What hinders me from being immersed?”
Act 8:37 And Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, it is permitted.” And he answering, said, “I believe that יהושע HaMashiach is the Son of Elohim.”1 Footnote: 1Mt. 16:16.
Act 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he immersed him.
Act 8:39 And when they came up out of the water, the Ruach of יהוה caught Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, for he went his way, rejoicing.
Act 8:40 Philip, however, was found at Ashdoḏ. And passing through, he brought the Good News in all the cities until he came to Caesarea.
Act 9:1 But Sha’ul, still breathing threats and murder against the taught ones of the Master, having come to the kohen gadol,
Act 9:2 asked from him letters to the congregations of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, to bring them bound to Yerushalayim.
Act 9:3 And it came to be, that as he journeyed, he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light flashed around him from the heaven.
Act 9:4 And he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Sha’ul, Sha’ul, why do you persecute Me?”
Act 9:5 And he said, “Who are You, Master?” And the Master said, “I am יהושע, whom you persecute. It is hard for you to kick against the prods.”
Act 9:6 Both trembling, and being astonished, he said, “Master, what do You wish me to do?” And the Master said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you shall be told what you have to do.”
Act 9:7 And the men journeying with him stood speechless, hearing indeed the voice but seeing no one.
Act 9:8 And Sha’ul arose from the ground, but when his eyes were opened he saw no one. And leading him by the hand they brought him into Damascus.
Act 9:9 And he was three days without sight, and did not eat nor drink.
Act 9:10 And there was at Damascus a certain taught one, by name Ḥananyah.1 And the Master said unto him in a vision, “Ḥananyah!” And he said, “Here I am, Master.” Footnote: 1See 22:12.
Act 9:11 And the Master said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and seek in the house of Yehuḏah for one called Sha’ul of Tarsos, for look, he is praying,
Act 9:12 and has seen in a vision a man named Ḥananyah coming in and laying his hand on him, so as to see again.”
Act 9:13 And Ḥananyah answered, “Master, I have heard from many about this man, how many evils he did to Your kadosh ones in Yerushalayim,
Act 9:14 and here he has authority from the kohen gadol to bind all those calling on Your Name.”
Act 9:15 But the Master said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My Name before nations, sovereigns, and the children of Yisra’ĕl.
Act 9:16 “For I shall show him how much he has to suffer for My Name.”
Act 9:17 And Ḥananyah went away and went into the house. And laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Sha’ul, the Master יהושע, who appeared to you on the way as you came, has sent me, so that you might see again and be filled with the Ruach HaKadosh.”
Act 9:18 And immediately there fell from his eyes, as it were scales, and he received his sight. And rising up, he was immersed.
Act 9:19 And having received food, he was strengthened. And Sha’ul was with the taught ones at Damascus some days.
Act 9:20 And immediately he proclaimed the Mashiach in the congregations, that He is the Son of Elohim.
Act 9:21 And all who heard were amazed, and said, “Is this not he who destroyed those calling on this Name in Yerushalayim, and has come here for this, to take them bound to the chief kohanim?”
Act 9:22 But Sha’ul kept increasing in strength, and was confounding the Yehuḏim who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this is the Mashiach.
Act 9:23 And after many days had elapsed, the Yehuḏim plotted to kill him.
Act 9:24 But their plot became known to Sha’ul. And they were watching the gates day and night, to kill him.
Act 9:25 But taking him by night, the taught ones let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.
Act 9:26 And having arrived at Yerushalayim, Sha’ul tried to join the taught ones, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a taught one.
Act 9:27 But Barnaḇah took him and brought him to the emissaries, and told them how he had seen the Master on the way, and that He had spoken to him, and how he was speaking boldly at Damascus in the Name of יהושע.
Act 9:28 And he was with them at Yerushalayim, coming in and going out,
Act 9:29 and speaking boldly in the Name of the Master יהושע and disputed with the Hellenists, but they undertook to kill him.
Act 9:30 And when the brothers learned of this, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him out to Tarsos.
Act 9:31 Then indeed the assemblies throughout all Yehuḏah, and Galil, and Shomeron had peace and were built up, and walking in the fear of יהוה and in the encouragement of the Ruach HaKadosh, they were being increased.
Act 9:32 And it came to be, as Kĕpha was passing through all places, that he also came down to the set-apart ones who were dwelling at Lod.
Act 9:33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years, being paralytic.
Act 9:34 And Kĕpha said to him, “Aeneas, יהושע HaMashiach heals you! Rise up and make your bed.” And immediately he rose up.
Act 9:35 And all those dwelling at Lod and Sharon saw him and did turn to the Master.
Act 9:36 And in Yapho there was a certain taught one named Taḇitha, which means Dorkas. This woman was filled with good works and kind deeds which she did.
Act 9:37 And it came to be in those days that she became sick and died. And having washed her, they laid her in an upper room.
Act 9:38 And Lod being near to Yapho, and the taught ones having heard that Kĕpha was there, they sent two men to him, urging him not to delay in coming to them.
Act 9:39 And having risen up, Kĕpha went with them. And when he arrived, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood beside him weeping, showing the inner garments and outer garments which Dorkas had made while she was with them.
Act 9:40 But Kĕpha sent them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Taḇitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and seeing Kĕpha, she sat up.
Act 9:41 And giving her his hand, he lifted her up. And calling the kadosh ones and widows, he presented her alive.

Act 9:31 Then indeed the assemblies throughout all Yehuḏah, and Galil, and Shomeron had peace and were built up, and walking in the fear of יהוה and in the encouragement of the Ruach HaKadosh, they were being increased.
Act 9:32 And it came to be, as Kĕpha was passing through all places, that he also came down to the set-apart ones who were dwelling at Lod.
Act 9:33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years, being paralytic.
Act 9:34 And Kĕpha said to him, “Aeneas, יהושע HaMashiach heals you! Rise up and make your bed.” And immediately he rose up.
Act 9:35 And all those dwelling at Lod and Sharon saw him and did turn to the Master.
Act 9:36 And in Yapho there was a certain taught one named Taḇitha, which means Dorkas. This woman was filled with good works and kind deeds which she did.
Act 9:37 And it came to be in those days that she became sick and died. And having washed her, they laid her in an upper room.
Act 9:38 And Lod being near to Yapho, and the taught ones having heard that Kĕpha was there, they sent two men to him, urging him not to delay in coming to them.
Act 9:39 And having risen up, Kĕpha went with them. And when he arrived, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood beside him weeping, showing the inner garments and outer garments which Dorkas had made while she was with them.
Act 9:40 But Kĕpha sent them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Taḇitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and seeing Kĕpha, she sat up.
Act 9:41 And giving her his hand, he lifted her up. And calling the kadosh ones and widows, he presented her alive.
Act 9:42 And it became known throughout all Yapho, and many believed on the Master.
Act 9:43 And it came to be that he stayed for many days in Yapho with Shimʽon, a leather-tanner.

Act 6:1 בימים ההם כאשר רבו התלמידים היתה תלונת היהודים היונים על־העבריים על־אשר העלימו עיניהם מאלמנותיהם לבלתי־תת להן יום יום את־ארוחתן׃
Act 6:2 ויקראו שנים העשר את־המון התלמידים ויאמרו לא־נאוה לנו כי נעזב את־דבר האלהים ונשמש את־השלחנות׃
Act 6:3 לכן אחי ברו־לכם שבעה אנשים מקרבכם אשר שם טוב להם ומלאים רוח הקדש וחכמה ונפקידם על־הענין הזה׃
Act 6:4 ואנחנו נשקד על־התפלה ועל־שמוש הדבר׃
Act 6:5 וייטב הדבר לפני כל־ההמון ויבחרו את־אסטפנוס איש מלא אמונה ורוח הקדש ואת־פילפוס ואת־פרוכורוס ואת־ניקנור ואת־טימון ואת־פרמנס ואת־ניקלס גר אנטיוכיא׃
Act 6:6 את־אלה העמידו לפני השליחים ויתפללו ויסמכו את־ידיהם עליהם׃
Act 6:7 ויהי דבר האלהים הולך וגדל וירב מספר התלמידים בירושלים עד־מאד וגם־המון רב מן־הכהנים הטו את־לבם אל־האמונה׃
Act 6:8 ואסטפנוס מלא חסד וגבורה ויעש אתות ומופתים גדולים בקרב העם׃
Act 6:9 ויקומו אנשים מבית־הכנסת הנקרא על־שם הליברטינים ושל־קורינים ואלכסנדריים ומן־בני קיליקיא ואסיא ויתוכחו עם־אסטפנוס׃
Act 6:10 ולא יכלו עמד לנגד החכמה והרוח אשר־דבר בו׃
Act 6:11 ויסיתו בו אנשים לאמר שמענו אתו מדבר גדופים במשה ובאלהים׃
Act 6:12 ויעוררו את־העם ואת־הזקנים והסופרים ויקומו עליו ויחטפהו ויביאהו לפני סנהדרין׃
Act 6:13 ויעמידו עדי שקר אשר אמרו האיש הזה איננו חדל להטיח דברים נגד מקום הקדש הזה ונגד התורה׃
Act 6:14 כי שמענהו אמר זה ישוע הנצרי יתץ את־המקום הזה וישנה את־החקים אשר מסר־לנו משה׃
Act 6:15 ויסתכלו בו כל־הישבים בסנהדרין ויראו והנה פניו כפני מלאך אלהים׃
Act 7:1 ויאמר הכהן הגדול האמת דברם׃
Act 7:2 ויען ויאמר אנשים אחים ואבות שמעו אלהי הכבוד נראה אל־אברהם אבינו בהיותו בארם נהרים טרם ישב בחרן׃
Act 7:3 ויאמר אליו לך־לך מארצך וממולדתך ובא אל־הארץ אשר ארא׃
Act 7:4 ויצא מארץ כשדים וישב בחרן ואחרי מות אביו העביר אתו משם אל־הארץ הזאת אשר אתם ישבים בה כיום הזה׃
Act 7:5 ולא נתן לו בה נחלה אף־לא מדרך כף־רגל ויבטח לתתה לאחזה לו ולזרעו אחריו בטרם היה־לו בן׃
Act 7:6 ויאמר לו אלהים כי־גר יהיה זרעו בארץ לא להם ועבדום וענו אתם ארבע מאות שנה׃
Act 7:7 וגם את־הגוי אשר יעבדו דן אנכי אמר אלהים ואחרי־כן יצאו ויעבדוני במקום הזה׃
Act 7:8 ויתן־לו את־ברית המילה וכן הוליד את־יצחק וימל אתו ביום השמיני ויצחק הוליד את־יעקב ויעקב הוליד את־שנים עשר האבות׃
Act 7:9 ויקנאו האבות ביוסף וימכרו אותו מצרימה ואלהים היה עמו׃
Act 7:10 ויצילהו מכל־צרותיו ויתן־לו חן וחכמה לפני פרעה מלך מצרים וישימהו שליט על־מצרים ועל כל־ביתו׃
Act 7:11 ויהי רעב על־כל־ארץ מצרים וכנען וצרה גדולה ואבותינו לא־מצאו אכל׃
Act 7:12 וישמע יעקב כי יש־שבר במצרים וישלח־שמה את־אבותינו בפעם הראשונה׃
Act 7:13 ובפעם השנית התודע יוסף אל־אחיו ומולדת יוסף נגלתה לפרעה׃
Act 7:14 וישלח יוסף ויקרא ליעקב אביו ולכל־משפחתו שבעים וחמש נפש׃
Act 7:15 וירד יעקב מצרימה וימת הוא ואבותינו׃
Act 7:16 ויובאו שכמה ויושמו בקבר אשר קנה אברהם בכספו מיד בני־חמור אבי שכם׃
Act 7:17 ויהי כאשר קרבה עת השבועה אשר נשבע אלהים לאברהם ויגדל העם וירב במצרים׃
Act 7:18 עד כי־קם מלך אחר אשר לא־ידע את־יוסף׃
Act 7:19 וזה התחכם למשפחתנו וירע לאבותינו להשליך את־עלליהם אל־פני השדה לבלתי החיותם׃
Act 7:20 בעת ההיא נולד משה ויהי־טוב לאלהים ויהי אמון בבית אביו שלשה ירחים׃
Act 7:21 וכאשר השלך אספה אתו בת־פרעה ותגדלהו לה לבן׃
Act 7:22 וילמד משה בכל־חכמת מצרים ויהי גבור בדברים ובמעשים׃
Act 7:23 ובמלאת־לו ארבעים שנה עלה על־לבו לפקד את־אחיו בני ישראל׃
Act 7:24 וירא איש אחד מכה חנם ויושע לו ויקם נקמת המכה בהכותו את־המצרי׃
Act 7:25 ויחשב בלבבו כי יבינו אחיו אשר על־ידו יתן האלהים להם תשועה והם לא הבינו׃
Act 7:26 ויהי ביום השני ויבא בתוכם והם נצים ויבקש לעשות שלום ביניהם לאמר אנשים אחים אתם ולמה תכו איש את־אחיו׃
Act 7:27 והמכה את־רעהו הדפו לאמר מי שמך לאיש שר ושפט עלינו׃
Act 7:28 הלהרגני אתה אמר כאשר הרגת אתמל את־המצרי׃
Act 7:29 ויברח משה על־הדבר הזה ויהי־גר בארץ מדין ויולד שם שני בנים׃
Act 7:30 ובמלאת ארבעים שנה נראה אליו מלאך במדבר הר סיני בלבת־אש מתוך הסנה׃
Act 7:31 וירא משה ויתמה על־המראה ובסורו לראות ויהי־קול יהוה אליו׃
Act 7:32 אנכי אלהי אבותיך אלהי אברהם אלהי יצחק ואלהי יעקב ויחרד משה ויירא מהביט׃
Act 7:33 ויאמר אליו יהוה של נעליך מעל רגליך כי המקום אשר אתה עומד עליו אדמת־קדש הוא׃
Act 7:34 ראה ראיתי את־עני עמי אשר במצרים ואת־נאקתם שמעתי וארד להצילם ועתה לכה ואשלחך מצרימה׃
Act 7:35 הוא משה אשר כחשו־בו לאמר מי שמך לשר ושפט אתו שלח האלהים לשר וגאל ביד המלאך הנראה אליו בסנה׃
Act 7:36 והוא הוציאם ויעש אתות ומפתים בארץ מצרים ובים־סוף ובמדבר ארבעים שנה׃
Act 7:37 הוא משה אשר אמר אל־בני ישראל נביא מקרב אחיכם כמני יקים לכם יהוה אלהיכם אליו תשמעון׃
Act 7:38 הוא אשר היה בקהל במדבר עם־המלאך הדבר אליו בהר סיני ועם־אבותינו ואשר קבל דברים חיים לתת לנו׃
Act 7:39 הוא אשר אבותינו לא אבו לשמע לו וימאסו אתו ולבבם פנה מצרימה׃
Act 7:40 ויאמרו אל־אהרון עשה־לנו אלהים אשר ילכו לפנינו כי זה משה אשר העלנו מארץ מצרים לא ידענו מה־היה לו׃
Act 7:41 ויעשו עגל בימים ההם ויזבחו זבחים לאליל וישמחו במעשה ידיהם׃
Act 7:42 ויפן מהם האלהים ויתנם לעבד את־צבא השמים ככתוב בספר הנביאים הזבחים ומנחה הגשתם־לי במדבר ארבעים שנה בית ישראל׃
Act 7:43 ונשאתם את סכת מלכם ואת־כוכב אלהיכם רמפן הצלמים אשר עשיתם להשתחות להם והגליתי אתכם מהלאה לבבל׃
Act 7:44 משכן העדות היה לאבותינו במדבר אשר עשה משה כתבנית אשר ראה כאשר צוה אתו המדבר אליו׃
Act 7:45 ואבותינו לקחהו וגם־הביאהו אתם הם ויהושע ברשתם את־ארצות הגוים אשר גרש אתם אלהים מפני אבותינו עד־ימי דוד׃
Act 7:46 והוא מצא חן בעיני אלהים וישאל למצא משכנות לאלהי יעקב׃
Act 7:47 ושלמה בנה־לו בית׃
Act 7:48 אבל העליון לא ישכן בהיכלות מעשי ידים כאשר אמר הנביא׃
Act 7:49 השמים כסאי והארץ הדם רגלי אי־זה בית אשר תבנו־לי אמר יהוה ואי־זה מקום מנוחתי׃
Act 7:50 הלא את־כל־אלה ידי־עשתה׃
Act 7:51 קשי ערף וערלי לב ואזנים ממרים הייתם תמיד ברוח הקדש כאבותיכם גם־אתם׃
Act 7:52 מי מהנביאים אשר לא רדפוהו אבותיכם אף־המיתו את המבשרים מקדם ביאת הצדיק אשר עתה הייתם אתם מוסריו ומרצחיו׃
Act 7:53 אתם אשר קבלתם את־התורה על־ידי מלאכות המלאכים ולא שמרתם אותה׃
Act 7:54 ויהי כשמעם את־אלה ויגע בהם עד נפש ויחרקו עליו שניהם׃
Act 7:55 והוא מלא רוח הקדש ויבט השמימה וירא את־כבוד אלהים ואת־ישוע נצב לימין האלהים׃
Act 7:56 ויאמר הנני ראה את־השמים נפתחים ואת בן־האדם נצב לימין האלהים׃
Act 7:57 ויזעקו קול גדול ויאטמו את־אזניהם ויתנפלו עליו כלם יחד׃
Act 7:58 וידחפהו חוצה לעיר ויסקלו אתו באבנים והעדים פשטו את־בגדיהם לרגלי בחור אחד ושמו שאול׃
Act 7:59 ויסקלו את־אסטפנוס והוא משוע ואמר אדני ישוע קבל את־רוחי׃
Act 7:60 ויכרע על־ברכיו ויזעק קול גדול יהוה אל־תשמר להם את־החטא הזה ויהי אחרי דברו כדבר הזה ויישן׃

Acts of the Jewish Apostles 6-7
Act 6:1 And in those days, when the taught ones were increasing, there arose a grumbling against the Heḇrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were overlooked in the daily serving.
Act 6:2 So the twelve summoned the group of the taught ones and said, “It is not pleasing for us to leave the Word of Elohim and serve tables.
Act 6:3 “Therefore, brothers, seek out from among you seven men who are known to be filled with the Ruach HaKodesh and wisdom, whom we shall appoint for this duty,
Act 6:4 but we shall give ourselves continually to prayer and to serving the Word.”
Act 6:5 And the word pleased the entire group. And they chose Stephanos, a man filled with belief and the Ruach HaKodesh, and Philip, and Prochoros, and Nikanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nikolaos, a convert from Antioch,
Act 6:6 whom they set before the emissaries. And when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.
Act 6:7 And the Word of Elohim spread, and the number of the taught ones increased greatly in Yerushalayim, and a great many of the kohanim were obedient to the belief.
Act 6:8 And Stephanos, filled with belief and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.
Act 6:9 But some of those of the so-called Congregation of the Freedmen (Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and those from Kilikia and Asia), rose up, disputing with Stephanos,
Act 6:10 but they were unable to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.
Act 6:11 Then they instigated men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moshe and Elohim.”
Act 6:12 And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, so they came upon him, seized him, and brought him to the council.
Act 6:13 And they set up false witnesses who said, “This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this Kadosh place and the Torah,
Act 6:14 for we have heard him saying that this יהושע of Natzeret shall overthrow this place and change the institutes which Moshe delivered unto us.”
Act 6:15 And all who sat in the council, looking steadily at him, saw his face was like the face of a malachei.
Act 7:1 And the kohen gadol said, “Is this so?”
Act 7:2 And he replied, “Men, brothers and fathers, listen: The Elohim of esteem appeared to our father Avraham when he was in Aram Naharayim, before he dwelt in Ḥaran,
Act 7:3 and said to him, ‘Come out of your land and from your relatives, and come here, into a land that I shall show you.’
Act 7:4 “Then he came out of the land of the Chaldeans and dwelt in Ḥaran. And from there, after the death of his father, He removed him to this land in which you now dwell.
Act 7:5 “And He gave him no inheritance in it, not a foot of it. But He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.
Act 7:6 “And Elohim spoke in this way: that his seed would be sojourning in a foreign land, and that they would be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.
Act 7:7 ‘And the nation to whom they shall be enslaved, I shall judge,’ said Elohim, ‘and after that they shall come out and serve Me in this place.’
Act 7:8 “And He gave him the covenant of circumcision. And so he brought forth Yitzchak and circumcised him on the eighth day. And Yitzchak brought forth Ya`akov̱, and Ya`akov̱ brought forth the twelve ancestors.
Act 7:9 “And the ancestors, becoming jealous, sold Yosĕph into Mitsrayim. But Elohim was with him,
Act 7:10 and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, sovereign of Mitsrayim. And he appointed him governor over Mitsrayim and all his house.
Act 7:11 “Then a scarcity of food and great distress came over all the land of Mitsrayim and Kena‘an, and our fathers found no food.
Act 7:12 “But Ya`akov̱ heard that there was grain in Mitsrayim, and he sent out our fathers the first time,
Act 7:13 and at the second time Yosĕph was made known to his brothers, and Yosĕph’s race became known to the Pharaoh.

Act 7:33 ‘But יהוה said to him, “Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is kadosh ground.
Act 7:34 “I have certainly seen the evil treatment of my people who are in Mitsrayim, and I have heard their groaning and have come down to deliver them. And now come, let Me send you to Mitsrayim.” ’
Act 7:35 “This Moshe whom they had refused, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ – this one Elohim sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Messenger who appeared to him in the bush.
Act 7:36 “This one led them out, after he had done wonders and signs in the land of Mitsrayim, and in the Yam Suf, and in the wilderness forty years.
Act 7:37 “This is the Moshe who said to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘יהוה your Elohim shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear.’

Act 7:43 ‘And you took up the Sukkah of Moleḵ, and the star of your mighty one Kiyyun, images which you made to bow before them. Therefore I shall remove you beyond Baḇel.’
Act 7:44 “The Sukkah of Witness was with our fathers in the wilderness, as He appointed, instructing Moshe to make it according to the pattern that he had seen,
Act 7:45 which our fathers, having received it in turn, also brought with Y’hoshua into the land possessed by the goyim, whom Elohim drove out before the face of our fathers until the days of Dawiḏ,
Act 7:46 who found favor before Elohim and asked to find a dwelling for the Elohim of Ya`akov̱,

Act 7:49 ‘The heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. What house shall you build for Me? says יהוה, or what is the place of My rest?

Act 7:51 “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Ruach HaKodesh, as your fathers did, you also do.
Act 7:52 “Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who before announced the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murderers,

Act 7:54 And hearing this they were cut to the hearts and gnashed the teeth at him.

Act 7:59 And they were stoning Stephanos as he was calling and saying, “Master יהושע, receive my spirit.”
Act 7:60 And kneeling down he cried out with a loud voice, “Master, do not hold this sin against them.” And having said this, he fell asleep.

Act 6:3 “Therefore, brothers, seek out from among you seven men who are known to be filled with the Ruach HaKodesh and wisdom, whom we shall appoint for this duty,
Act 6:4 but we shall give ourselves continually to prayer and to serving the Word.”
Act 6:5 And the word pleased the entire group. And they chose Stephanos, a man filled with belief and the Ruach HaKodesh, and Philip, and Prochoros, and Nikanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nikolaos, a convert from Antioch,

Act 3:2 ואיש אחד פסח מבטן אמו הובא שמה אשר הושיבהו יום יום לפני שער המקדש הנקרא שער המהדר לשאל מתנות מאת באי המקדש׃
Act 3:3 ויהי כראתו את־פטרוס ואת־יוחנן באים אל־המקדש ויבקש מאתם צדקה׃

Act 4:16 ויאמרו מה־נעשה לאנשים האלה הנה אות גלוי נעשה על־ידיהם וגם־מפרסם לכל־ישבי ירושלים ולא נוכל לכחש בו׃
Act 4:17 אך למען לא־ירבה הדבר בעם ויפרץ נגערה־בם לבלתי דבר עוד לכל־אדם בשם הזה׃
Act 4:18 ויקראו אתם ויצוום אשר לא־ידברו דבר ולא ילמדו בשם ישוע׃
Act 4:19 ויענו פטרוס ויוחנן ויאמרו אליהם הנכון הוא לפני האלהים שמע לכם יתר משמע לאלהים שפטו אתם׃
Act 4:20 כי לא נוכל אנחנו לחדל לדבר את אשר ראינו ושמענו׃
Act 4:21 ויוסיפו לגער־בם ויפטרו אתם באשר לא־מצאו דבר לענוש אתם מפני העם כי כלם מהללים את־האלהים על־הנעשה׃
Act 4:22 כי בן־ארבעים שנה ומעלה היה האיש ההוא אשר נעשה־עמו אות הרפואה הזאת׃
Act 4:23 ואחרי הפטרם באו אל־אחיהם ויספרו להם את אשר אמרו אליהם ראשי הכהנים והזקנים׃
Act 4:24 ויהי כאשר שמעו את־זאת וישאו את־קולם בלב אחד לאלהים ויאמרו אדני אתה האל העשה את־השמים ואת־הארץ ואת־הים ואת־כל אשר־בם׃
Act 4:25 אשר אמרת בפי עבדך דוד (אבינו ברוח הקדש) למה רגשו גוים ולאמים יהגו ריק׃
Act 4:26 יתיצבו מלכי ארץ ורוזנים נוסדו יחד על־יהוה ועל־משיחו׃
Act 4:27 כי אמנם נוסדו (בעיר הזאת) הורדוס ופנטיוס פילטוס עם־הגוים ולאמי ישראל על־ישוע עבדך הקדוש אשר משחת׃
Act 4:28 לעשות את אשר ידך ועצתך מקדם גזרה להיות׃
Act 4:29 ועתה אדני ראה את־גערתם ותן לעבדיך לדבר את־דברך בכל־אמץ לבם׃
Act 4:30 בנטתך את־ידך למרפא ולתת אתות ומופתים בשם ישוע עבדך הקדוש׃
Act 4:31 ויהי כאשר התפללו וינע המקום אשר היו נקהלים שם וימלאו כלם רוח הקדש וידברו את־דבר האלהים באמץ לבב׃
Act 4:32 וקהל המאמינים היה להם לב אחד ונפש אחת ואין איש מהם אומר על־אשר בידו לי הוא כי הכל היה להם לנחלת כלם׃
Act 4:33 ובגבורה רבה יעידו השליחים על־תקומת האדון ישוע וחסד גדול היה על כלם׃
Act 4:34 כי לא־היה בהם חסר דבר כי כל־בעלי שדות ובתים מכרו אתם ויביאו את־כסף מחירם׃
Act 4:35 וישימהו לרגלי השליחים ויתן לכל־איש ואיש די מחסרו׃
Act 4:36 ויוסף אשר כנוהו השליחים בשם בר־נבא פרושו בן־הנחמה איש לבית לוי אשר נולד בארץ קיפרוס׃
Act 4:37 גם־לו היה שדה וימכרהו ויבא את־הכסף וישימהו לרגלי השליחים׃
Act 5:1 ואיש אחד ושמו חנניה ואשתו שפירה מכר את־אחזתו׃
Act 5:2 ויקח מן־המחיר ויסתר ואשתו ידעת גם־היא וחלק אחד הביא וישם לרגלי השליחים׃
Act 5:3 ויאמר פטרוס חנניה למה זה מלא השטן את־לבבך לשקר לרוח הקדש ולהסתיר ממחיר השדה׃
Act 5:4 הלא שלך היה טרם המכרו וגם־אחרי נמכר היה בידך ולמה שמת על־לבבך הדבר הזה לא שקרת לבני אדם כי אם־לאלהים׃
Act 5:5 וכשמע חנניה את־הדברים האלה נפל ארצה ויגוע ותהי יראה גדולה על כל־השמעים׃
Act 5:6 ויקומו הצעירים ויאספו אתו וישאהו החוצה ויקברהו׃
Act 5:7 ויהי כמשלש שעות ותבא אשתו והיא לא ידעה את אשר נעשה׃
Act 5:8 ויען פטרוס ויאמר אליה אמרי־לי הבמחיר הזה מכרתם את־השדה ותאמר הן במחיר הזה׃
Act 5:9 ויאמר פטרוס אליה למה־זה נועצתם לנסות את־רוח יהוה הנה בפתח רגלי המקברים את־אישך ונשאו אתך החוצה׃
Act 5:10 ותפל פתאם לרגליו ותגוע והנערים באו והנה מתה וישאוה החוצה ויקברוה אצל אישה׃
Act 5:11 ותהי יראה גדולה על כל־הקהל ועל כל־השמעים את־אלה׃
Act 5:12 ויעשו אתות ומופתים רבים בקרב העם על־ידי השליחים וכלם נאספו לב אחד באולם של־שלמה׃
Act 5:13 ומן־האחרים אין איש אשר מלאו לבו להלות עליהם והעם הוקיר אתם׃
Act 5:14 ועוד נספחו מאמינים אל־האדון אנשים ונשים הרבה מאד׃
Act 5:15 עד כי־נשאו את־החולים אל־הרחבות וישימום על־מטות ומשכבות למען אשר ילך פטרוס ונפל אך־צלו על־אחד מהם׃
Act 5:16 וגם־המון־עם הערים אשר מסביב נקבצו ירושלים מביאים את־החולים ואת־הנלחצים מרוחות טמאות וירפאו כלם׃
Act 5:17 ויקם הכהן הגדול וכל אשר אתו והם אנשי כת הצדוקים וימלאו קנאה׃
Act 5:18 וישלחו־יד בשליחים ויתנום במשמר אשר לעיר׃
Act 5:19 ויהי בלילה ויפתח מלאך יהוה את־דלתי בית־הכלא ויוציאם לאמר׃
Act 5:20 לכו והתיצבו במקדש ודברו אל־העם את־כל־דברי החיים האלה׃
Act 5:21 והם כשמעם את־זאת באו אל־המקדש בהיות הבקר וילמדו שם ויבא הכהן הגדול ואשר אתו ויקראו אל־סנהדרין ואל־כל־זקני בני ישראל וישלחו אל־בית האסורים להביא אתם׃
Act 5:22 וילכו המשרתים ולא מצאום בבית הכלא וישובו ויגידו לאמר׃
Act 5:23 באנו והנה בית האסורים סגור ומסגר והשמרים עמדים על־הפתח ונפתח ולא מצאנו בו אדם׃
Act 5:24 ויהי כשמע נגיד המקדש וראשי הכהנים את־הדברים האלה ויהיו נבוכים עליהם ויאמרו מה־תהיה זאת׃
Act 5:25 ואיש אחד בא ויגד להם לאמר הנה האנשים אשר שמתם במשמר עמדים הם במקדש ומלמדים את־העם׃
Act 5:26 וילך שמה הנגיד ומשרתיו ויקחם אך־לא בחזקה כי יראו מפני העם פן יסקלום׃
Act 5:27 ויביאו אתם ויעמידום לפני סנהדרין וישאלם הכהן הגדול לאמר׃
Act 5:28 הלא צוה צוינו עליכם לבלתי למד בשם הזה והנה מלאתם את־ירושלים תורתכם ותחפצו להביא עלינו את־דמי האיש הזה׃
Act 5:29 ויען פטרוס והשליחים ויאמרו הלא עלינו להקשיב בקול אלהים מהקשיב בקול בני אדם׃
Act 5:30 אלהי אבותינו הקים את־ישוע אשר שלחתם ידכם בו ותתלו אותו על־העץ׃
Act 5:31 את־זה נשא האלהים בימינו לשר ולמושיע לתת־תשובה לישראל וסליחת החטאים׃
Act 5:32 ואנחנו עדיו על־אלה וגם־רוח הקדש אשר נתן אותו האלהים לשמעים בקולו׃
Act 5:33 ויהי כשמעם ויגע בם עד נפש ויתיעצו להרוג אתם׃
Act 5:34 ויקם בסנהדרין אחד מן־הפרושים גמליאל שמו והוא מורה התורה מכבד בעיני כל־העם ויצו להוציא את־השליחים החוצה לזמן מעט׃
Act 5:35 ויאמר אליהם אנשי ישראל השמרו לכם מפני האנשים האלה במה־שתעשו להם׃
Act 5:36 כי לפני הימים האלה קם תודס ויתן את־נפשו כאחד הגדולים וידבקו־בו כארבע מאות איש ויהרג ויתפרדו כל אשר־שמעו אליו ויהיו לאין׃
Act 5:37 ואחריו קם יהודה הגלילי בימי המפקד ויסת עם רב אחריו וגם־הוא נהרג וכל אשר־שמעו אליו נפצו׃
Act 5:38 ועתה אני אמר אליכם חדלו לכם מן־האנשים האלה והניחו להם כי העצה והפעלה הזאת אם־מאת אדם היא תפר׃
Act 5:39 ואם־מאת האלהים היא לא תוכלו להפר אתה פן־תמצאו נלחמים את־האלהים׃
Act 5:40 וישמעו אליו ויקראו את־השליחים וילקו אתם ויצוו אשר לא ידברו בשם ישוע ויפטרו אותם׃
Act 5:41 ויצאו שמחים מלפני סנהדרין על־כי זכו לשאת על־שמו כלמה׃
Act 5:42 ולא חדלו כל־יום ללמד במקדש ובבתים ולבשר את־בשורת ישוע המשיח׃
Act 3:1 ופטרוס ויוחנן היו עלים יחדו אל־המקדש לתפלת המנחה בשעה התשיעית׃
Act 3:2 ואיש אחד פסח מבטן אמו הובא שמה אשר הושיבהו יום יום לפני שער המקדש הנקרא שער המהדר לשאל מתנות מאת באי המקדש׃
Act 3:3 ויהי כראתו את־פטרוס ואת־יוחנן באים אל־המקדש ויבקש מאתם צדקה׃
Act 3:4 ויסתכל־בו פטרוס וגם־יוחנן ויאמר אליו הביטה אלינו׃
Act 3:5 וישם פניו אליהם ויקו לקחת מאתם מתנה׃
Act 3:6 ויאמר פטרוס כסף וזהב אין־לי ואשר בידי אתו אתננו לך בשם־ישוע המשיח הנצרי קום התהלך׃
Act 3:7 ויאחז ביד ימינו ויקימהו ויחזקו פתאם רגליו וקרסליו׃
Act 3:8 ויקם על רגליו ויהלך ויבא אתם אל־המקדש והוא מתהלך ומדלג ומשבח את־האלהים׃
Act 3:9 ויראהו כל־העם מתהלך ומשבח את־האלהים׃
Act 3:10 ויכירו אותו כי הוא הישב לשאל צדקה בשער המקדש המהדר וימלאו שמה ותמהון על הנעשה לו׃
Act 3:11 ויהי הוא מחזיק בפטרוס וביוחנן וירץ אליהם כל־העם אל־האולם הנקרא אולם של־שלמה וישתוממו׃
Act 3:12 וירא פטרוס ויען ויאמר אל־העם אנשי ישראל מה אתם תמהים על־הדבר הזה ומה־תסתכלו בנו כאלו בכחנו ובחסידותנו הוא מהלך׃
Act 3:13 אלהי אברהם אלהי יצחק ואלהי יעקב אלהי אבותינו הוא פאר את־עבדו ישוע אשר אתם מסרתם וכחשתם בו בפני פילטוס כשהיה דן לפטרו׃
Act 3:14 אבל אתם כחשתם בקדוש ובצדיק ושאלתם כי־ינתן לכם איש רצח בבקשתכם׃
Act 3:15 ואת־שר החיים המתם אשר האלהים הקים מן־המתים ואנחנו עדיו׃
Act 3:16 ועל אמונת שמו חזק שמו את־האיש הזה אשר אתם ראים ומכירים ואמונתנו בו העלתה־לו את־הארכה הזאת לעיני כלכם׃
Act 3:17 ועתה אחי ידע אני כי בבלי־דעת עשיתם גם־אתם גם־ראשיכם׃
Act 3:18 והאלהים ככה מלא את אשר הגיד מקדם בפי כל־נביאיו כי יענה המשיח׃
Act 3:19 לכן הנחמו ושובו וימחו חטאיכם׃
Act 3:20 למען אשר־יבאו ימי רוחה מלפני יהוה וישלח את־אשר יעדו לכם מקדם את־ישוע המשיח׃
Act 3:21 אשר צריך שיקבלו אתו השמים עד־ימי שוב כל־הדברים לתקונם כאשר דבר האלהים בפי־נביאיו הקדושים מימי עולם׃
Act 3:22 הן משה אמר אל־אבותינו נביא יקים לכם יהוה אלהיכם מקרב אחיכם כמני אליו תשמעון ככל אשר ידבר אליכם׃
Act 3:23 והיה כל־הנפש אשר לא תשמע אל־הנביא ההוא ונכרתה מעמיה׃
Act 3:24 וגם כל־הנביאים משמואל ואשר נבאו אחריו כלם הגידו מראש את־הימים האלה׃
Act 3:25 אתם בני הנביאים ובני הברית אשר כרת האלהים עם־אבותינו באמרו אל־אברהם ונברכו בזרעך כל משפחות האדמה׃
Act 3:26 לכם בראשונה העמיד האלהים את־עבדו ישוע וישלחהו לברך אתכם בשובכם איש מרע מעלליכם׃
Act 4:1 ויהי בדברם אל־העם ויקומו עליהם הכהנים ונגיד המקדש והצדוקים׃
Act 4:2 כי־חרה להם על־אשר למדו את־העם והגידו את־תחית המתים בישוע׃
Act 4:3 וישלחו ידם בהם ויניחום במשמר למחרת היום ההוא כי היה ערב׃
Act 4:4 ורבים מהשמעים את־הדבר האמינו ויהי מספרם כחמשת אלפים איש׃
Act 4:5 ויהי ממחרת ויקהלו שריהם ראשיהם וזקניהם וסופריהם ירושלים׃
Act 4:6 וחנן הכהן הגדול וקיפא ויוחנן ואלכסנדרוס וכל אשר ממשפחת הכהן הגדול׃
Act 4:7 ויעמידו אתם בתוך וישאלום לאמר באי־זה כח ובאי־זה שם עשיתם זאת׃
Act 4:8 וימלא פטרוס רוח הקדש ויאמר אליהם שמעוני ראשי העם וזקני ישראל׃
Act 4:9 אם־אנחנו נחקר היום על־הטובה אשר עשינו לאיש חולה ושאלתם במה זה נושע׃
Act 4:10 יודע לכלכם ולכל־עם ישראל כי־בשם ישוע המשיח הנצרי אשר צלבתם ואשר האלהים הקימו מן־המתים בשמו עמד האיש הזה בריא לפניכם׃
Act 4:11 והוא האבן אשר מאסתם אתם הבונים ותהי לראש פנה׃
Act 4:12 ואין הישועה באחר כי לא נתן תחת השמים שם אחר לבני אדם אשר־בו נושע׃
Act 4:13 ויהי כאשר ראו את־אמץ לב פטרוס ויוחנן והבינו כי הדיוטות המה ולא בעלי־חכמה ויתמהו והם הכירו כי היו הולכים עם־ישוע׃
Act 4:14 אבל בראותם את האיש הנרפא עמד אצלם לא מצאו לדבר נגדם דבר׃
Act 4:15 ויצוו אתם לצאת חוצה מסנהדרין ויתיעצו יחדו׃

Act 3:1 And Kĕpha and Yochanan were going up to the Temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
Act 3:2 And a certain man, lame from his birth, was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the Temple which is called Yaphah,1 to ask alms from those entering into the kadosh Temple, Footnote: 1Beautiful or lovely.
Act 3:3 who, seeing Kĕpha and Yochanan about to go into the kadosh Temple, asked for alms.
Act 3:4 And Kĕpha, with Yochanan, looking steadfastly at him, said, “Look at us.”
Act 3:5 And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive whatever from them.
Act 3:6 But Kĕpha said, “I do not have silver and gold, but what I do possess, this I give you: In the Name of יהושע Mashiach of Natzeret, rise up and walk.”
Act 3:7 And taking him by the right hand he lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones were made firm.
Act 3:8 And leaping up, he stood and walked, and went in with them into the kadosh Temple, walking and leaping and praising Elohim.
Act 3:9 And all the people saw him walking and praising Elohim.
Act 3:10 And they recognized him, that it was he who sat begging alms at the Lovely Gate of the kadosh Temple. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what befell him.
Act 3:11 And as the lame man who was healed was clinging to Kĕpha and Yochanan, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Shlomo’s, greatly amazed.
Act 3:12 And seeing it, Kĕpha responded to the people, “Men of Yisra’ĕl, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or reverence we have made him walk?
Act 3:13 “The Elohim of Avraham, and of Yitzchak, and of Ya`akov, the Elohim of our fathers, esteemed His Servant יהושע, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.
Act 3:14 “But you denied the kadosh and Righteous One, and asked that a man, a murderer, be granted you.
Act 3:15 “But you killed the Leader1 of life, whom Elohim raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. Footnote: 1 Or Prince.
Act 3:16 “And by the belief in His Name, this one whom you see and know, His Name made strong, and the belief which comes through Him has given him this perfect healing before all of you.
Act 3:17 “And now, brothers, I know that you did it in ignorance, as your rulers did too.
Act 3:18 “But this is how Elohim has filled what He had announced beforehand through the mouth of all the prophets, that His Mashiach was to suffer.
Act 3:19 “Repent therefore and turn back, for the blotting out of your sins, in order that times of refreshing might come from the presence of the Master,
Act 3:20 and that He sends יהושע Mashiach, pre-appointed for you,
Act 3:21 whom heaven needs to receive until the times of restoration of all matters, of which Elohim spoke through the mouth of all His kadosh prophets since of old.
Act 3:22 “For Moshe truly said to the fathers, ‘יהוה your Elohim shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear according to all matters, whatever He says to you.
Act 3:23 ‘And it shall be that every being who does not hear that Prophet1 shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ Footnote: 1Deut. 18:18-20.
Act 3:24 “And likewise, all the prophets who have spoken, from Shemu’ĕl and those following, have also announced these days.
Act 3:25 “You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which Elohim made with our fathers, saying to Avraham, ‘And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.’
Act 3:26 “To you first, Elohim, having raised up His Servant יהושע, sent Him to bless you, in turning away each one of you from your wicked ways.”1 Footnote: 1See 2:38.
Act 4:1 And as they were speaking to the people, the kohanim and the captain of the Kadosh Temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
Act 4:2 being annoyed because they taught the people and announced the resurrection from the dead in יהושע.
Act 4:3 And they arrested them, and put them in jail until the next day, for it was already evening.
Act 4:4 But many of those who had heard the word believed, and the number of the men became about five thousand.
Act 4:5 And it came to be, on the next day, that their rulers and elders and scribes assembled in Yerushalayim,
Act 4:6 as well as Ḥanan the kohen gadol, and Qayapha, and Yochanan, and Alexander, and as many as were descendant from the kohen Gadol.
Act 4:7 And having placed them in the middle, they asked, “By what power or in what Name did you do this?”
Act 4:8 Then Kĕpha, filled with the Ruach HaKadosh, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Yisra’ĕl:
Act 4:9 “If today we are called to account for a good deed towards a sick man, by whom he has been healed,
Act 4:10 let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Yisra’ĕl, that in the Name of יהושע Mashiach of Natzeret, whom you impaled, whom Elohim raised from the dead, by Him this one stands before you, healthy.
Act 4:11 “This is ‘the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’
Act 4:12 “And there is no deliverance in anyone else, for there is no other Name under the heaven given among men by which we need to be saved.”
Act 4:13 And seeing the boldness of Kĕpha and Yochanan, and perceiving that they were unlearned and ordinary men, they marveled. And they recognized that they had been with יהושע.
Act 4:14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could not contradict it.
Act 4:15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they consulted with one another,
Act 4:16 saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that an outstanding miracle has been done through them is apparent to all those dwelling in Yerushalayim, and we are unable to deny it.
Act 4:17 “But in order that it spreads no further among the people, let us strongly threaten them, to speak no more to anyone in this Name.”
Act 4:18 And they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor to teach in the Name of יהושע.
Act 4:19 But Kĕpha and Yochanan answering them, said, “Whether it is right in the sight of Elohim to listen to you more than to Elohim, you judge.1 Footnote: 1See 5:29.
Act 4:20 “For it is impossible for us not to speak of what we saw and heard.”
Act 4:21 And having threatened them further, they released them, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, because they were all praising Elohim for what had been done.
Act 4:22 For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been done.
Act 4:23 And having been released, they went to their own people and reported all that the head kohanim and elders said to them.
Act 4:24 And having heard that, they lifted up their voice to Elohim with one mind and said, “יהוה, You are Elohim, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them,
Act 4:25 who by the mouth of Your servant Dawiḏ have said, ‘Why did the goyim rage, and the people plot in vain?
Act 4:26 ‘The sovereigns of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against יהוה and against His Mashiach.’1 Footnote: 1See Ps. 2:1-2.
Act 4:27 “For truly, in this city there were gathered together against Your kadosh Servant יהושע, whom You anointed, both Herodes and Pontius Pilate, with the goyim and the people of Yisra’ĕl
Act 4:28 to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose decided before to be done.
Act 4:29 “And now, יהוה, look on their threats, and give to Your servants all boldness to speak Your word,
Act 4:30 by stretching out Your hand for healing, and signs, and wonders to take place through the Name of Your kadosh Servant יהושע.”
Act 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place where they came together was shaken. And they were all filled with the Ruach HaKadosh, and they spoke the word of Elohim with boldness.
Act 4:32 And the group of those who believed were of one heart and one being. And no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they had all in common.
Act 4:33 And with great power the emissaries gave witness to the resurrection of the Master יהושע, and great favor was upon them all.
Act 4:34 For there was not anyone needy among them, for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of what was sold,
Act 4:35 and laid them at the feet of the emissaries, and they distributed to each as anyone had need.
Act 4:36 And Yosĕph, who was also called Barnaḇah by the emissaries (which means Son of Encouragement), a Lĕwite, a native of Cyprus,
Act 4:37 having land, sold it, and brought the proceeds and laid it at the feet of the emissaries.
Act 5:1 But a certain man named Ḥananyah, with Shappirah his wife, sold a possession.
Act 5:2 And he kept back from the price, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the feet of the emissaries.
Act 5:3 But Kĕpha said, “Ḥananyah, why has HaSatan filled your heart to lie to the Ruach HaKadosh and keep back from the price of the land for yourself?
Act 5:4 “While it remained, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your authority? Why have you conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to Elohim.”
Act 5:5 Then Ḥananyah, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. And great fear came upon all those who heard of this.
Act 5:6 But the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out and buried him.
Act 5:7 And it came to be, about three hours later, that his wife came in, not knowing what had taken place.
Act 5:8 And Kĕpha responded to her, “Say to me whether you sold the land for so much?” And she said, “Yes, for so much.”
Act 5:9 So Kĕpha said to her, “Why have you agreed to try the Spirit of יהוה? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they shall carry you out.”
Act 5:10 And immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, they buried her beside her husband.
Act 5:11 And great fear came upon all the assembly and upon all who heard of this.
Act 5:12 And through the hands of the emissaries many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one mind in Shlomo’s Porch.
Act 5:13 But of the rest no one had the courage to join them, however, the people made much of them.
Act 5:14 And more believers were added to the Master, large numbers of both men and women,
Act 5:15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Kĕpha, passing by, might fall on some of them.
Act 5:16 A large number also gathered from the surrounding cities to Yerushalayim, bringing sick ones and those who were troubled by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
Act 5:17 But the kohen gadol rose up, and all those with him, which is the sect of the Sadducees, and they were filled with jealousy,
Act 5:18 and seized the emissaries and put them in the public jail.
Act 5:19 But a messenger of יהוה opened the prison doors at night and brought them out, and said,
Act 5:20 “Go and stand in the Kadosh Temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.”
Act 5:21 Now when they heard, they went into the Kadosh Temple early in the morning, and were teaching. But the kohen gadol and those with him came and called the council together, with all the elders of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and sent to the prison for them to be brought.
Act 5:22 But having come, the officers did not find them in the prison, and they went back and reported it,
Act 5:23 saying, “We found the prison shut in all safety, and the watches standing outside before the doors. But having opened them, we found no one inside!”
Act 5:24 And as the kohen gadol and the captain of the Kadosh Temple and the chief kohanim heard these words, they were puzzled and wondered what this might be.
Act 5:25 But one came and reported to them, saying, “Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the Kadosh Temple and teaching the people!”
Act 5:26 Then the captain went with the officers and brought them, not with force, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.
Act 5:27 And having brought them, they set them before the council and the kohen gadol asked them,
Act 5:28 saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this Name? And look, you have filled Yerushalayim with your teaching, and intend to bring the blood of this Man upon us!”
Act 5:29 And Kĕpha and the other emissaries answering, said, “We have to obey Elohim rather than men.1 Footnote: 1See 4:19.
Act 5:30 “The Elohim of our fathers raised up יהושע whom you laid hands on, hanging Him on a timber.
Act 5:31 “Him, a Prince and a Saviour, Elohim has exalted to His right hand, to give repentance to Yisra’ĕl and forgiveness of sins.
Act 5:32 “And we are His witnesses to these matters, and so also is the Ruach HaKadosh whom Elohim has given to those who obey Him.”1 Footnote: 1See 1 John 3:24.
Act 5:33 And those hearing were cut to the heart, and took counsel to kill them.
Act 5:34 But a certain one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamli’ĕl, a teacher of the Torah, respected by all the people, and ordered them to put the emissaries outside for a little while,
Act 5:35 and said to them, “Men of Yisra’ĕl, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do to these men.
Act 5:36 “For before these days Toḏah rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, did join him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were dispersed, and came to naught.
Act 5:37 “After him, Yehuḏah of Galil rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were scattered.
Act 5:38 “And now I say to you, stay away from these men and leave them alone, because if this plan or this work is of men, it shall be overthrown,
Act 5:39 but if it is of Elohim, you are unable to overthrow it, lest you even be found to fight against Elohim.”
Act 5:40 And they heeded his advice, and having called for the emissaries, beating them, they commanded that they should not speak in the Name of יהושע, and let them go.
Act 5:41 Then indeed they went rejoicing from the presence of the council, because they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His Name.
Act 5:42 And daily in the Kadosh Temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and bringing the Good News: יהושע HaMashiach!

Act 5:28 saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this Name? And look, you have filled Yerushalayim with your teaching, and intend to bring the blood of this Man upon us!”
Act 5:29 And Kĕpha and the other emissaries answering, said, “We have to obey Elohim rather than men.1 Footnote: 1See 4:19.
Act 5:30 “The Elohim of our fathers raised up יהושע whom you laid hands on, hanging Him on a timber.
Act 5:31 “Him, a Prince and a Saviour, Elohim has exalted to His right hand, to give repentance to Yisra’ĕl and forgiveness of sins.
Act 5:32 “And we are His witnesses to these matters, and so also is the Ruach HaKadosh whom Elohim has given to those who obey Him.”1 Footnote: 1See 1 John 3:24.
Act 5:33 And those hearing were cut to the heart, and took counsel to kill them.
Act 5:34 But a certain one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamli’ĕl, a teacher of the Torah, respected by all the people, and ordered them to put the emissaries outside for a little while,
Act 5:35 and said to them, “Men of Yisra’ĕl, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do to these men.
Act 5:36 “For before these days Toḏah rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, did join him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were dispersed, and came to naught.
Act 5:37 “After him, Yehuḏah of Galil rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were scattered.
Act 5:38 “And now I say to you, stay away from these men and leave them alone, because if this plan or this work is of men, it shall be overthrown,
Act 5:39 but if it is of Elohim, you are unable to overthrow it, lest you even be found to fight against Elohim.”
Act 5:40 And they heeded his advice, and having called for the emissaries, beating them, they commanded that they should not speak in the Name of יהושע, and let them go.
Act 5:41 Then indeed they went rejoicing from the presence of the council, because they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His Name.
Act 5:42 And daily in the Kadosh Temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and bringing the Good News: יהושע HaMashiach!

Act 1:1 במאמר הראשון כתבתי תאופילוס על־כל אשר החל ישוע לעשות וללמד׃
Act 1:2 עד־היום אשר לקח למרום אחרי צותו ברוח הקדש את־השליחים אשר־בחר בהם׃
Act 1:3 ואשר גם־התיצב להם באתות רבות אחרי ענותו וירא אליהם ארבעים יום וידבר על־מלכות האלהים׃
Act 1:4 ובאכלו עמהם צוה אתם לבלתי סור מירושלים ולהוחיל להבטחת האב אשר שמעתם ממני׃
Act 1:5 כי יוחנן הטביל במים ואתם תטבלו ברוח הקדש בקרוב אחרי הימים האלה׃
Act 1:6 ויהי בהתאספם יחדו וישאלהו לאמר אדנינו התשיב בעת הזאת את־המלכות לישראל׃
Act 1:7 ויאמר אליהם לא לכם לדעת העתים והזמנים אשר קבע האב בשלטנו של׃
Act 1:8 אבל תשאו גבורה בבוא עליכם רוח הקדש והייתם עדי בירושלים ובכל יהודה ובשומרון ועד־קצה הארץ׃
Act 1:9 ויהי ככלותו לדבר זאת העלה והם ראים וישאהו ענן מנגד עיניהם׃
Act 1:10 ויביטו אחריו השמים בעלותו והנה שני אנשים לבושי בדים נצבים עליהם׃
Act 1:11 ויאמרו אנשי הגליל מה־תעמדו ועיניכם לשמים זה ישוע אשר הועלה מעליכם השמים בוא יבוא כאשר ראיתם אתו עלה למרום׃
Act 1:12 ויפנו וילכו ירושלימה מן־ההר הנקרא הר הזיתים והוא קרוב לירושלים כדרך תחום שבת׃
Act 1:13 ויבאו העירה ויעלו אל־העליה אשר ישבו־בה פטרוס ויעקב ויוחנן ואנדרי פילפוס ותומא בר־תלמי ומתי יעקב בן־חלפי ושמעון הקנא ויהודה בן־יעקב׃
Act 1:14 כל אלה היו שקדים יחדו בלב אחד בתפלה ובתחנונים הם והנשים עם מרים אם ישוע ועם־אחיו׃
Act 1:15 ובימים ההם קם פטרוס בתוך האחים ומספר שמות הנקהלים יחד כמאה ועשרים ויאמר׃
Act 1:16 אנשים אחים צריך היה שימלא הכתוב הזה אשר רוח הקדש דבר מקדם בפי דוד על־יהודה אשר היה למוליך את־תפשי ישוע׃
Act 1:17 כי־היה נמנה אתנו וזכה בגורל השרות הזה׃
Act 1:18 והנה הוא קנה לו שדה בשכר הרשעה ויפל על־פניו ארצה ויבקע בתוך וישפכו כל־מעיו׃
Act 1:19 ונודע הדבר הזה לכל־ישבי ירושלים ויקרא בשפתם לשדה ההוא חקל דמא הוא שדה הדם׃
Act 1:20 כי כתוב בספר תהלים תהי־טירתו נשמה ואל־יהי בה ישב ואומר פקדתו יקח אחר׃
Act 1:21 ועל־כן צריך שאחד מן־האנשים אשר התהלכו אתנו כל־ימי אשר אדנינו ישוע יוצא ובא לפנינו׃
Act 1:22 החל מטבילת יוחנן עד־יום הלקחו מאתנו יהיה עמנו לעד תחיתו מן־המתים׃
Act 1:23 ויעמידו שנים את־יוסף הנקרא בר־שבא והוא מכנה יוסטוס ואת מתיה׃
Act 1:24 ויתפללו ויאמרו אתה יהוה היודע כל־הלבבות הראה־נא מן־השנים האלה את־האחד אשר בחרת בו׃

Act 2:1 וביום מלאת שבעת השבעות נאספו כלם לב אחד׃
Act 2:2 ויהי קול רעש מן־השמים פתאם כקול רוח סערה וימלא את־כל־הבית אשר הם ישבים בו׃
Act 2:3 ותראינה אליהם לשנות מתפרדות במראה אש ותנוח אחת אחת על כל־אחד מהם׃
Act 2:4 וימלאו כלם רוח הקדש ויחלו לדבר בלשנות אחרות כאשר נתנם הרוח לספר׃
Act 2:5 ובירושלים שכנו יהודים יראי אלהים מבין כל־גוי אשר תחת כל השמים׃
Act 2:6 ויהי בהיות קול הרעש ההוא ויקבצו עם־רב ויהיו נבכים כי כל־איש שמע אתם מדברים כשפת ארצו׃
Act 2:7 וישתוממו ויתמהו ויאמרו איש אל־רעהו הנה המדברים האלה הלא כלם בני הגליל המה׃
Act 2:8 ואיך שמעים אנחנו אתם איש כשפת־ארץ מולדתנו׃
Act 2:9 פרתיים ומדים ועילמים וישבי ארם נהרים יהודה וקפודקיה פנטוס ואסיא׃
Act 2:10 פרוגיא ופמפוליא מצרים וחבל לוב אשר על־יד קוריני והבאים מרומי יהודים וגרים׃
Act 2:11 כרתים וערבים הנה אנחנו שמעים אתם מספרים בלשנותינו גדלות האלהים׃
Act 2:12 ויתמהו כלם ויבהלו ויאמרו איש אל־אחיו מה־זאת׃
Act 2:13 ואחרים לעגו ויאמרו כי־מלאי עסיס המה׃
Act 2:14 אז יעמד פטרוס ועשתי העשר עמו וישא את־קולו וידבר אליהם לאמר אנשי יהודה וישבי ירושלים כלם זאת ידע תדעו והאזינו אל־דברי׃
Act 2:15 כי האנשים האלה לא שכורים המה כאשר אמרתם כי שלש שעות ביום עתה׃
Act 2:16 והוא האמור על־ידי יואל הנביא׃
Act 2:17 והיה באחרית הימים נאם אלהים אשפך את־רוחי על־כל־בשר ונבאו בניכם ובנתיכם ובחוריכם חזינות יראו וזקניכם חלמות יחלמון׃
Act 2:18 וגם על־עבדי ועל־שפחותי בימים ההמה אשפך את־רוחי ונבאו׃
Act 2:19 ונתתי מופתים בשמים ממעל ואתות בארץ מתחת דם ואש ותימרות עשן׃
Act 2:20 השמש יהפך לחשך והירח לדם לפני בוא יום יהוה הגדול והנורא׃
Act 2:21 והיה כל אשר־יקרא בשם־יהוה ימלט׃
Act 2:22 אנשי ישראל שמעו הדברים האלה ישוע הנצרי האיש אשר נאמן לכם מאת האלהים בגבורות ובמופתים ובאתות אשר האלהים עשה על־ידו בתוככם כאשר ידעתם גם־אתם׃
Act 2:23 אתו הנמסר על־פי עצת האלהים הנחרצה וידיעתו מקדם לקחתם ובידי רשעים הוקעתם והרגתם׃
Act 2:24 ואלהים הקימו מן־המתים בהתירו את־חבלי המות לפי שלא היה בידו להחזיק בו׃
Act 2:25 כי־דוד אמר עליו שויתי יהוה לנגדי תמיד כי מימיני בל־אמוט׃
Act 2:26 לכן שמח לבי ויגל כבודי אף־בשרי ישכן לבטח׃
Act 2:27 כי לא־תעזב נפשי לשאול לא־תתן חסידך לראות שחת׃
Act 2:28 תודיעני ארחות חיים שבע שמחות את־פניך׃
Act 2:29 אנשים אחים הניחו לי ואדברה אליכם כאשר עם לבבי דוד אבינו מת ונקבר וקבורתו אתנו היא עד־היום הזה׃
Act 2:30 והוא נביא וידע את־השבועה אשר נשבע לו האלהים (להקים את המשיח כפי הבשר) מפרי חלציו להושיבו על־כסאו׃
Act 2:31 לכן בחזותו למרחוק דבר על־תקומת המשיח כי לא־נעזבה נפשו לשאול וגם־בשרו לא־ראה שחת׃
Act 2:32 הוא ישוע אשר הקים אלהים מן־המתים ואנחנו כלנו עדיו׃
Act 2:33 ועתה אחרי הנשאו בימין האלהים לקח מאת אביו את־הבטחת רוח הקדש וישפך את־אשר אתם ראים ושמעים׃
Act 2:34 כי דוד לא עלה השמימה והנה הוא אמר נאם־יהוה לאדני שב לימיני׃
Act 2:35 עד־אשית איביך הדם לרגליך׃
Act 2:36 לכן ידע־נא בית־ישראל כלו ברור כי האלהים שם את־ישוע זה אשר צלבתם לאדון ולמשיח׃
Act 2:37 ויהי כשמעם התעצבו אל־לבם ויאמרו אל־פטרוס ואל־שאר השליחים אנשים אחים מה־נעשה׃
Act 2:38 ויאמר פטרוס אליהם שובו מדרכיכם והטבלו כל־איש מכם לשם ישוע המשיח לסליחת חטאיכם וקבלתם את־מתנת רוח הקדש׃
Act 2:39 כי לכם ההבטחה ולבניכם ולכל הרחוקים לכל־אשר קרא יהוה אלהינו להם׃
Act 2:40 ויעד עוד בהם בדברים אחרים הרבה ויזהירם לאמר המלטו נא מן־הדור העקש הזה׃
Act 2:41 ויקבלו את־דברו בשמחה ויטבלו וביום ההוא נוספו כשלשת אלפי נפש׃
Act 2:42 ויהיו שקדים על־תורת השליחים ועל־ההתחברות ועל־בציעת הלחם ועל־התפלה׃
Act 2:43 ותפל אימה על־כל־נפש ומופתים רבים ואתות נעשו על־ידי השליחים בירושלים (ואימה גדולה היתה על־כלם)׃
Act 2:44 וכל־המאמינים התאחדו יחד וכל־אשר להם היה לנחלת כלם׃
Act 2:45 וימכרו את־אחזתם ואת־רכושם ויחלקו לכלם לאיש איש די מחסורו׃
Act 2:46 ויום יום היו שקדים להיות במקדש לב אחד ויבצעו את־הלחם בבית בבית׃
Act 2:47 ויאכלו מזונם בגילה ובתם לבב וישבחו את־האלהים וימצאו חן בעיני כל־העם והאדון הוסיף יום יום על־העדה את־הנושעים׃

Act 1:1 The first account I made, O Theophilos, of all that יהושע began both to do and to teach,
Act 1:2 until the day when He was taken up, after giving instructions through the Ruach HaKodesh to the emissaries whom He had chosen,
Act 1:3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them for forty days, speaking concerning the reign of Elohim.
Act 1:4 And meeting with them, He commanded them not to leave Yerushalayim, but to wait for the Promise of the Father,1 “which you have heard from Me – Footnote: 1Lk. 24:49, John 14:16 & 26.
Act 1:5 because Yochanan truly immersed in water, but you shall be immersed in the Ruach HaKodesh not many days from now.”
Act 1:6 So when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Master, would You at this time restore the reign to Yisra’ĕl?”1 Footnote: 1Lk. 1:33.
Act 1:7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
Act 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Ruach HaKodesh has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Yerushalayim, and in all Yehuḏah and Shomeron, and to the end of the earth.”
Act 1:9 And having said this, while they were looking on, He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.
Act 1:10 And as they were gazing into the heaven as He went up, see, two men stood by them dressed in white,
Act 1:11 who also said, “Men of Galil, why do you stand looking up into the heaven? This same יהושע, who was taken up from you into the heaven, shall come in the same way1 as you saw Him go into the heaven.” Footnote: 1Zech. 14:4.
Act 1:12 Then they went back to Yerushalayim from the Mount of Olives, which is near Yerushalayim, a Sabbath day’s journey.
Act 1:13 And when they came in, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: both Kĕpha and Ya`akov̱ and Yochanan and Andri, Philip and T’oma, Bartholomi and Mattityahu, Ya`akov̱ the son of Alphai and Shim`on the Zealot, and Yehuḏah the son of Ya`akov̱.
Act 1:14 All these were continuing with one mind in prayer and supplication, with the women and Miryam the mother of יהושע, and with His brothers.
Act 1:15 And in those days Kĕpha, standing up in the midst of the taught ones – and there was a gathering of about a hundred and twenty – said,
Act 1:16 “Men and brothers, this Scripture had to be filled which the Ruach HaKodesh spoke before by the mouth of Dawiḏ concerning Yehuḏah, who became a guide to those who seized יהושע,
Act 1:17 because he was numbered with us and did receive his share in this service.”
Act 1:18 (This one, therefore, purchased a field with the wages of unrighteousness, and falling forward, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed out.
Act 1:19 And it became known to all those dwelling in Yerushalayim, so that in their own language that field was called, Ḥaqal Dema, that is, Field of Blood).
Act 1:20 “For it has been written in the sefer Tehillim, ‘Let his dwelling lie waste, and let no one live in it,’ and, ‘Let another take his office.’
Act 1:21 “It is therefore necessary that of the men who have been with us all the time that the Master יהושע went in and out among us,
Act 1:22 beginning from the immersion of Yochanan to that day when He was taken up from us, that one of these should become a witness with us of His resurrection.”
Act 1:23 And they put forward two: Yosĕph called Barsabba, who was also called Justus, and Mattityahu.
Act 1:24 And praying they said, “You, יהוה, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two You have chosen
Act 1:25 to receive the share in this service and office of the emissary from which Yehuḏah by transgression fell, to go to his own place.”
Act 1:26 And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Mattityahu. And he was numbered with the eleven emissaries.
Act 2:1 And when the Day of Shavu’ot had come, they were all with one mind in one place.
Act 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from the heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Act 2:3 And there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and settled on each one of them.
Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Ruach HaKodesh and began to speak with other tongues, as the Ruach gave them to speak.
Act 2:5 Now in Yerushalayim there were dwelling Yehuḏim, dedicated men from every nation under the heaven.
Act 2:6 And when this sound came to be, the crowd came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language.
Act 2:7 And they were all amazed and marveled, saying to each other, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans?
Act 2:8 “And how do we hear, each one in our own language in which we were born?
Act 2:9 “Parthians and Medes and Ěylamites, and those dwelling in Aram Naharayim, both Yehuḏah and Kappadokia, Pontos and Asia,
Act 2:10 both Phrygia and Pamphulia, Mitsrayim and the parts of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Yehuḏim and converts,
Act 2:11 “Cretans and Arabs, we hear them speaking in our own tongues the great deeds of Elohim.”
Act 2:12 And they were all amazed, and were puzzled, saying to each other, “What does this mean?”
Act 2:13 And others mocking said, “They have been filled with sweet wine.”
Act 2:14 But Kĕpha, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and said to them, “Men of Yehuḏah and all those dwelling in Yerushalayim, let this be known to you, and listen closely to my words.
Act 2:15 “For these men are not drunk, as you imagine, since it is only the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16 “But this is what was spoken by the prophet Yo’ĕl:
Act 2:17 ‘And it shall be in the last days, says Elohim, that I shall pour out of My breath on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams,
Act 2:18 and also on My male servants and on My female servants I shall pour out My breath in those days, and they shall prophesy.
Act 2:19 ‘And I shall show wonders in the heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
Act 2:20 ‘The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and fearful day of יהוה.
Act 2:21 ‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of יהוה shall be saved.’1 Footnote: 1Joel 2:28-32, Rom. 10:13.
Act 2:22 “Men of Yisra’ĕl, hear these words: יהושע of Natzeret, a Man from Elohim, having been pointed out to you by mighty works, and wonders, and signs which Elohim did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know,
Act 2:23 this One, given up by the set purpose and foreknowledge of Elohim, you have impaled and put to death through the hands of lawless men –
Act 2:24 “Him Elohim raised up, having loosed the pangs of death, because it was impossible that He could be held in its grip.
Act 2:25 “For Dawiḏ says concerning Him, ‘I saw יהוה before me continually, because He is at my right hand, in order that I should not be shaken.
Act 2:26 ‘For this reason my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad, and now my flesh shall also rest in expectation,
Act 2:27 because You shall not leave my being in Sh’ol, nor shall You give Your Kadosh One to see corruption.

Act 2:29 “Men and brothers, let me speak boldly to you of the ancestor Dawiḏ, that he died and was buried,1 and his tomb is with us to this day. Footnote: 1See v. 34.
Act 2:30 “Being a prophet, then, and knowing that Elohim had sworn with an oath to him: of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, to raise up the Mashiach to sit on his throne,
Act 2:31 foreseeing this he spoke concerning the resurrection of the Mashiach, that His being was neither left in the grave, nor did His flesh see corruption.
Act 2:32 “Elohim has raised up this יהושע, of which we are all witnesses.
Act 2:33 “Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of Elohim, and having received from the Father the promise of the Ruach HaKodesh, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

Act 2:39 “For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are far off, as many as יהוה our Elohim shall call.”

Act 2:41 Then those, indeed, who gladly received his word, were immersed. And on that day about three thousand beings were added to them.
Act 2:42 And they were continuing steadfastly in the teaching of the emissaries, and in the fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers.
Act 2:43 And fear came upon every being, and many wonders and signs were being done through the emissaries.
Act 2:44 And all those who believed were together, and had all in common,
Act 2:45 and sold their possessions and property, and divided them among all, as anyone might have need.
Act 2:46 And day by day, continuing with one mind in the Kadosh Place, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
Act 2:47 praising Elohim and having favor with all the people. And the Master added to the assembly those who were to be saved, day by day.

Act 1:5 because Yochanan truly immersed in water, but you shall be immersed in the Ruach HaKodesh not many days from now.”

Act 1:7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
Act 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Ruach HaKodesh has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Yerushalayim, and in all Yehuḏah and Shomeron, and to the end of the earth.”
Act 1:9 And having said this, while they were looking on, He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.
