Mat 15:1 אז באו אל־ישוע הסופרים והפרושים אשר מירושלים׃
Mat 15:2 ויאמרו מדוע תלמידיך עברים את קבלת הזקנים כי אינם נטלים ידיהם לסעודה׃
Mat 15:3 ויען ויאמר אליהם מדוע גם־אתם עברים את־מצות אלהים למען קבלתכם׃
Mat 15:4 כי האלהים צוה לאמר כבד את־אביך ואת־אמך ומקלל אביו ואמו מות יומת׃
Mat 15:5 ואתם אמרים האמר לאביו ולאמו קרבן מה־שאתה נהנה לי אינו חיב בכבוד אביו ואמו׃
Mat 15:6 ותפרו את־דבר האלהים למען קבלתכם׃
Mat 15:7 חנפים היטב נבא עליכם ישעיהו לאמר׃
Mat 15:8 נגש העם הזה בפיו ובשפתיו כבדוני ולבם רחק ממני׃
Mat 15:9 ותהי יראתם אתי מצות אנשים מלמדה׃
Mat 15:10 ויקרא אל־העם ויאמר להם שמעו והבינו׃
Mat 15:11 לא הנכנס אל־הפה יטמא את־האדם כי אם־היוצא מן־הפה הוא מטמא את־האדם׃
Mat 15:12 ויגשו אליו תלמידיו ויאמרו הידעת כי הפרושים שמעו את־הדבר הזה ויכשלו־בו׃
Mat 15:13 ויען ויאמר כל־מטע אשר לא נטע אבי שבשמים עקור יעקר׃
Mat 15:14 הניחו אותם מדריכים עורים המה לעורים וכי־ידריך עור את־העור ונפלו שניהם אל־השחת׃
Mat 15:15 ויען פטרוס ויאמר אליו באר לנו את־המשל הזה׃
Mat 15:16 ויאמר ישוע עדנה גם־אתם לא תשכילו׃
Mat 15:17 העוד לא תדעו כי כל־הבא אל־הפה יורד אל־הכרש וישפך משם למוצאות׃
Mat 15:18 אבל היוצא מן־הפה יוצא מן־הלב והוא מטמא את־האדם׃
Mat 15:19 כי מן־הלב יוצאות מחשבות רע רציחות נאופים זנונים גנבות עדות שקר וגדופים׃
Mat 15:20 אלה הם המטמאים את־האדם אבל אכילה בלא נטילת ידים לא תטמא את־האדם׃
Mat 15:21 ויצא ישוע משם ויסר אל־גלילות צור וצידון׃
Mat 15:22 והנה אשה כנענית יצאת מן־הגבולות ההם ותצעק אליו לאמר חנני אדני בן־דוד כי בתי מענה מאד על־ידי שד׃
Mat 15:23 ולא־ענה אתה דבר ויגשו תלמידיו ויבקשו ממנו לאמר שלחה כי־צעקת היא אחרינו׃
Mat 15:24 ויען ויאמר לא שלחתי בלתי אל־הצאן האבדות אשר לבית ישראל׃
Mat 15:25 והיא באה ותשתחו לו ותאמר אדני עזרני׃
Mat 15:26 ויען ויאמר לא־טוב לקחת את־לחם הבנים ולהשליכו לפני צעירי הכלבים׃
Mat 15:27 ותאמר כן אדני אפס כי־גם־צעירי הכלבים יאכלו מן־הפרורים הנפלים מעל־שלחן אדניהם׃
Mat 15:28 ויען ישוע ויאמר אליה אשה רבה אמונתך יהי־לך כרצונך ותרפא בתה מן־השעה ההיא׃
Mat 15:29 ויעבר ישוע משם ויבא אל־ים הגליל ויעל ההרה וישב שם׃
Mat 15:30 ויבאו אליו המון עם רב ועמהם פסחים עורים אלמים קטעים ורבים כהמה ויפילום לרגלי ישוע וירפאם׃
Mat 15:31 ויתמהו העם בראותם את־האלמים מדברים והקטעים בריאים והפסחים מהלכים והעורים ראים וישבחו את־אלהי ישראל׃
Mat 15:32 ויקרא ישוע אל־תלמידיו ויאמר נכמרו רחמי על־העם כי־זה עמדם עמדי שלשת ימים ואין להם מה־לאכל ואינני חפץ לשלחם רעבים פן־יתעלפו בדרך׃
Mat 15:33 ויאמרו אליו התלמידים מאין לנו במדבר די־לחם להשביע את־המון רב כזה׃
Mat 15:34 ויאמר ישוע אליהם כמה ככרות לחם לכם ויאמרו שבע ומעט דגים קטנים׃
Mat 15:35 ויצו את־המון העם וישבו לארץ׃
Mat 15:36 ויקח את־שבע ככרות הלחם ואת הדגים ויברך ויפרס ויתן אל־התלמידים והתלמידים נתנו לעם׃
Mat 15:37 ויאכלו כלם וישבעו וישאו מן־הפתותים הנותרים שבעה דודים מלאים׃
Mat 15:38 והאכלים ארבעת אלפים איש מלבד הנשים והטף׃
Mat 15:39 וישלח את־העם וירד באניה ויבא אל־גבול מגדן׃
Mat 16:1 ויגשו הפרושים והצדוקים לנסותו וישאלו מאתו להראותם אות מן־השמים׃
Mat 16:2 ויען ויאמר להם בערב תאמרו יום־צח יהיה כי אדמו השמים׃
Mat 16:3 ובבקר תאמרו היום סער כי־אדמו והתקדרו השמים חנפים אתם מכירים את־פני השמים ואתות העתים לא תכירו׃
Mat 16:4 דור רע ומנאף מבקש־לו אות ואות לא ינתן־לו בלתי אם־אות יונה הנביא ויעזבם וילך לו׃
Mat 16:5 ויבאו התלמידים אל־עבר הים והם שכחו לקחת אתם לחם׃
Mat 16:6 ויאמר ישוע אליהם ראו והשמרו לכם משאר הפרושים והצדוקים׃
Mat 16:7 ויחשבו כה וכה בקרבם ויאמרו על־דבר שלא־לקחנו אתנו לחם׃
Mat 16:8 וידע ישוע ויאמר אליהם קטני אמונה מה־תחשבו בלבבכם אשר לא־לקחתם אתכם לחם׃
Mat 16:9 העוד לא תשכילו ולא תזכרו את־חמשת ככרות־הלחם לחמשת אלפים איש וכמה סלים נשאתם׃
Mat 16:10 ואת־שבע ככרות הלחם לארבעת אלפים איש וכמה דודים נשאתם׃
Mat 16:11 איך לא תבינו כי לא על־הלחם אמרתי אליהם השמרו לכם משאר הפרושים והצדוקים׃
Mat 16:12 אז הבינו כי לא אמר להם להשמר משאר הלחם כי אם־מלמוד הפרושים והצדוקים׃
Mat 16:13 ויהי כבוא ישוע אל־גלילות קיסריה של־פילפוס וישאל את־תלמידיו לאמר מה־אמרים לי בני אדם מי הוא בן־האדם׃
Mat 16:14 ויאמרו יש אמרים יוחנן המטביל הוא ויש אמרים אליהו ואחרים אמרים ירמיהו או אחד מן־הנביאים׃
Mat 16:15 ויאמר אליהם ואתם מה־תאמרו לי מי אני׃
Mat 16:16 ויען שמעון פטרוס ויאמר אתה הוא המשיח בן־אלהים חיים׃
Mat 16:17 ויען ויאמר אליו אשריך שמעון בר־יונה כי־בשר ודם לא גלה־לך את־זאת כי אם־אבי שבשמים׃
Mat 16:18 וגם־אני אמר לך כי אתה פטרוס ועל־הצור הזה אבנה את־קהלתי ושערי שאול לא יגברו עליה׃
Mat 16:19 ואתן לך את־מפתחות מלכות השמים וכל־אשר תאסר על־הארץ אסור יהיה בשמים וכל־אשר תתיר על־הארץ מתר יהיה בשמים׃
Mat 16:20 אז צוה על־תלמידיו אשר לא יספרו לאיש כי הוא המשיח׃
Mat 16:21 מן־העת ההיא החל ישוע להגיד לתלמידיו כי צריך הוא ללכת ירושלים ויענה הרבה מידי הזקנים וראשי הכהנים והסופרים ויהרג וביום השלישי קום יקום׃
Mat 16:22 ויקחהו פטרוס ויחל לגער־בו לאמר חס לך אדני אל־יהי־לך כזאת׃
Mat 16:23 ויפן ויאמר לפטרוס סור מעלי השטן מכשול אתה לי כי לבך לדברי בני־אדם ולא לדברי אלהים׃
Mat 16:24 ויאמר ישוע אל־תלמידיו איש כי־יחפץ ללכת אחרי יכחש בעצמו ונשא את־צלובו והלך אחרי׃
Mat 16:25 כי החפץ להציל את־נפשו תאבד נפשו ממנו והמאבד נפשו למעני הוא ימצאנה׃
Mat 16:26 כי מה־יועיל האדם שיקנה את־כל־העולם והשחית את־נפשו או מה־יתן האדם פדיון נפשו׃
Mat 16:27 כי בן־האדם עתיד לבוא בכבוד אביו עם־מלאכיו ואז ישלם לכל־איש כמעשהו׃
Mat 16:28 אמן אמר אני לכם כי יש בעמדים פה אשר לא־יטעמו טעם מיתה עד כי־יראו את־בן־האדם בא במלכותו׃

Mat 15:1 Then there came to יהושע scribes and Pharisees from Yerushalayim, saying,
Mat 15:2 “Why do Your talmidim transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”
Mat 15:3 But He answering, said to them, “Why do you also transgress the command of Elohim1 because of your tradition? Footnote: 1See Mat. 5:20.
Mat 15:4 “For Elohim has commanded, saying, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’
Mat 15:5 “But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me has been dedicated,”
Mat 15:6 is certainly released from respecting his father or mother.’ So you have nullified the command of Elohim by your tradition.
Mat 15:7 “Hypocrites! Yesha’Yahu rightly prophesied about you, saying,
Mat 15:8 ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
Mat 15:9 ‘But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commands of men.’ ”1 Footnote: 1Isa. 29:13, Mk. 7:7, 2 Ki. 17:19.
Mat 15:10 And calling the crowd near, He said to them, “Hear and understand:
Mat 15:11 “Not that which goes into the mouth defiles the man, but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles the man.”
Mat 15:12 Then His talmidim came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees stumbled when they heard this word?”
Mat 15:13 But He answering, said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted shall be uprooted.
Mat 15:14 “Leave them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both shall fall into a ditch.”
Mat 15:15 And Kĕpha answering, said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
Mat 15:16 And יהושע said, “Are you also still without understanding?
Mat 15:17 “Do you not understand that whatever enters into the mouth goes into the stomach, and is cast out in the sewer?
Mat 15:18 “But what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and these defile the man.
Mat 15:19 “For out of the heart come forth wicked reasonings, murders, adulteries, whorings, thefts, false witnessings, slanders.
Mat 15:20 “These defile the man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”
Mat 15:21 And יהושע went out from there and withdrew to the parts of Tsor and Tsiḏon.
Mat 15:22 And see, a woman of Kenaʽan came from those borders and cried out to Him, saying, “Have compassion on me, O Master, Son of Dawiḏ! My daughter is badly demon-possessed.”
Mat 15:23 But He did not answer her a word. And His talmidim came and asked Him, saying, “Send her away, because she cries after us.”
Mat 15:24 And He answering, said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’ĕl.”
Mat 15:25 But she came and was bowing to Him, saying, “Master, help me!”
Mat 15:26 And He answering, said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”
Mat 15:27 But she said, “Yea Master, for even the little dogs1 eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Footnote:1See Rev. 22:15.
Mat 15:28 And יהושע answering, said to her, “O woman, your belief is great! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.
Mat 15:29 And moving from there, יהושע came toward the Sea of Galil, and going up on the mountain, He was sitting there.
Mat 15:30 And large crowds came to Him, having with them those who were lame, blind, dumb, crippled, and many others. And they laid them down at the feet of יהושע, and He healed them,
Mat 15:31 so that the crowd marveled when they saw the dumb speaking, the crippled well, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they praised the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl.
Mat 15:32 And יהושע, having called His talmidim near, said, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have now continued with Me three days and do not have whatever to eat. And I do not wish to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”
Mat 15:33 And His talmidim said to Him, “Where are we to get enough bread in the desert to satisfy such a large crowd?”
Mat 15:34 And יהושע said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven, and a few little fish.”
Mat 15:35 And He commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground,
Mat 15:36 and taking the seven loaves and the fish, giving thanks, He broke them and gave to His talmidim, and the talmidim to the crowd.
Mat 15:37 And all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces – seven large baskets, filled.
Mat 15:38 And those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
Mat 15:39 And dismissing the crowd, He went into the boat, and came to the borders of Maḡdala.
Mat 16:1 And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and trying Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven.
Mat 16:2 And He answering, said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘Fair weather, for the heaven is red,’
Mat 16:3 and in the morning, ‘Stormy weather today, for the heaven is red and overcast.’ You know how to discern the face of the heaven, but you are unable to discern the signs of the times!
Mat 16:4 “A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Yonah.” And He left them and went away.
Mat 16:5 And His talmidim came to the other side, and had forgotten to take bread.
Mat 16:6 And יהושע said to them, “Mind! And beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.”
Mat 16:7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “Because we brought no bread!”
Mat 16:8 But יהושע, aware of this, said to them, “O you of little belief, why do you reason among yourselves because you brought no bread?
Mat 16:9 “Do you still not understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you picked up?
Mat 16:10 “Or the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you picked up?
Mat 16:11 “How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread, but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?”
Mat 16:12 Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
Mat 16:13 Now when יהושע came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His talmidim, saying, “Who do men say the Son of Aḏam is?”
Mat 16:14 And they said, “Some say Yocḥanan the Immerser, and others Ěliyahu, and others Yirmeyahu or one of the nevi’im.”
Mat 16:15 He said to them, “And you, who do you say I am?”
Mat 16:16 And Shimʽon Kĕpha answering, said, “You are the Mashiach, the Son of the living Elohim.”
Mat 16:17 And יהושע answering, said to him, “Blessed are you, Shimʽon Bar-Yonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father in the heavens.
Mat 16:18 “And I also say to you that you are Kĕpha, and on this rock I shall build My assembly, and the gates of the grave shall not overcome it.
Mat 16:19 “And I shall give you the keys of the reign of the heavens, and whatever you bind1 on earth shall be having been bound1 in the heavens, and whatever you loosen1 on earth shall be having been loosened1 in the heavens.” Footnote: 1Binding and loosening is Heḇrew idiom for exercising authority (to prohibit and permit).
Mat 16:20 Then He warned His talmidim that they should say to no one that He is יהושע the Mashiach.
Mat 16:21 From that time יהושע began to show to His talmidim that it was necessary for Him to go to Yerushalayim, and to suffer much from the elders and chief Kohanim and scribes, and be killed, and to be raised again the third day.
Mat 16:22 And Kĕpha took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Be kind to Yourself, Master, this shall not be to You!”
Mat 16:23 But He turned and said to Kĕpha, “Get behind Me, HaSatan! You are a stumbling-block to Me, for your thoughts are not those of Elohim, but those of men.”
Mat 16:24 Then יהושע said to His talmidim, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his stake, and follow Me.
Mat 16:25 “For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it.
Mat 16:26 “For what is a man profited if he gains all the world, and loses his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Mat 16:27 “For the Son of Aḏam is going to come in the esteem of His Father with His messengers, and then He shall reward each according to his works.1 Footnote:1Ps. 62:12, Prov. 24:12, John 5:29, Rom. 2:6, 2 Cor. 5:10, Eph. 2:10, Titus 2:7 & 14, Jas. 2:14-24, Rev. 22:12.
Mat 16:28 “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death at all until they see the Son of Aḏam coming in His reign:”1 Footnote:1See 17:2-5.

Hos 12:12 And when Yaʽaqoḇ fled to the country of Aram, Yisra’ĕl served for a wife, and for a wife he kept watch.
Hos 12:13 And by a prophet יהוה brought Yisra’ĕl out of Mitsrayim, and by a prophet he was watched over.
Hos 12:14 Ephrayim has provoked most bitterly. So his Master left his blood-guilt on him, and repaid him for his reproach.
Hos 13:1 When Ephrayim spoke there was trembling, he was lifted up in Yisra’ĕl. But through Baʽal he became guilty, and he died.
Hos 13:2 And now they sin more and more, and make for themselves moulded images from their silver, idols according to their skill, all of them the work of craftsmen. They say of them, “Let the men who slaughter kiss the calves!”
Hos 13:3 Therefore they shall be like a morning cloud, and like dew that goes away early, like chaff blown off from a threshing-floor, and like smoke from a window.
Hos 13:4 “But I am יהוה your Elohim since the land of Mitsrayim, and an Elohim besides Me you shall not know, for there is no Saviour besides Me.
Hos 13:5 “I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought.
Hos 13:6 “When they were fed they were satisfied. They were satisfied and their heart was exalted, therefore they forgot Me.
Hos 13:7 “So I am become like a lion to them, like a leopard I watch by the way,
Hos 13:8 like a bear robbed of her young I attack them and rip open the enclosure of their heart. And there I devour them like a lion, a wild beast tear them apart.
Hos 13:9 “You have destroyed yourself, O Yisra’ĕl, but your help is in Me.
Hos 13:10 “Where is your sovereign now to save you in all your cities, and your rulers of whom you said, ‘Give me a sovereign and rulers’?
Hos 13:11 “I gave you a sovereign in My displeasure, but I took him away in My wrath.
Hos 13:12 “The crookedness of Ephrayim is bound up, his sin is hidden.
Hos 13:13 “Pains of a woman in labour shall come upon him. He is not a wise son, for it is not the time that he should delay at the breaking forth of children.
Hos 13:14 “From the power of the grave I ransom them, from death I redeem them. Where is your plague, O Death? Where is your destruction, O Grave? Repentance is hidden from My eyes.
Hos 13:15 “Though he bears fruit among his brothers, an east wind comes, a wind from יהוה comes up from the wilderness, and it dries up his fountain, and his spring becomes dry – it plunders a treasure of all desirable objects.
Hos 13:16 “Shomeron is held guilty, for she has rebelled against her Elohim – they fall by the sword, their infants are dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open.”
Hos 14:1 O Yisra’ĕl, return to יהוה your Elohim, for you have stumbled by your crookedness.
Hos 14:2 Take words with you, and return to יהוה. Say to Him, “Take away all crookedness, and accept what is good, and we render the bulls of our lips1. Footnote: 1Heb. 13:15 - bulls, referring to offerings.
Hos 14:3 “Ashshur does not save us. We do not ride on horses, nor ever again do we say to the work of our hands, ‘Our elohim.’ For the fatherless finds compassion in You.”
Hos 14:4 “I shall heal their backsliding, I shall love them spontaneously, for My displeasure has turned away from him.
Hos 14:5 “I shall be like the dew to Yisra’ĕl. He shall blossom like the lily, and cast out his roots like Leḇanon.
Hos 14:6 “His branches shall spread, and his splendor shall be like an olive tree, and his fragrance like Leḇanon.
Hos 14:7 “Those who dwell under his shadow shall return. They shall revive like grain, and blossom like the vine, and become as fragrant as the wine of Leḇanon.
Hos 14:8 “What more has Ephrayim to do with idols? It is I who answer and look after him. I am like a green cypress tree, your fruit comes from Me.”
Hos 14:9 Who is wise and understands these words, discerning and knows them? For the ways of יהוה are straight, and the righteous walk in them, but the transgressors stumble in them.

B’reisheet 29:33 ותהר עוד ותלד בן ותאמר כי־שׁמע יהוה כי־שׂנואה אנכי ויתן־לי גם־את־זה ותקרא שׁמו שׁמעון׃
B’reisheet 29:34 ותהר עוד ותלד בן ותאמר עתה הפעם ילוה אישׁי אלי כי־ילדתי לו שׁלשׁה בנים על־כן קרא־שׁמו לוי׃
B’reisheet 29:35 ותהר עוד ותלד בן ותאמר הפעם אודה את־יהוה על־כן קראה שׁמו יהודה ותעמד מלדת׃
B’reisheet 30:1 ותרא רחל כי לא ילדה ליעקב ותקנא רחל באחתה ותאמר אל־יעקב הבה־לי בנים ואם־אין מתה אנכי׃
B’reisheet 30:2 ויחר־אף יעקב ברחל ויאמר התחת אלהים אנכי אשׁר־מנע ממך פרי־בטן׃
B’reisheet 30:3 ותאמר הנה אמתי בלהה בא אליה ותלד על־ברכי ואבנה גם־אנכי ממנה׃
B’reisheet 30:4 ותתן־לו את־בלהה שׁפחתה לאשׁה ויבא אליה יעקב׃
B’reisheet 30:5 ותהר בלהה ותלד ליעקב בן׃
B’reisheet 30:6 ותאמר רחל דנני אלהים וגם שׁמע בקלי ויתן־לי בן על־כן קראה שׁמו דן׃
B’reisheet 30:7 ותהר עוד ותלד בלהה שׁפחת רחל בן שׁני ליעקב׃
B’reisheet 30:8 ותאמר רחל נפתולי אלהים נפתלתי עם־אחתי גם־יכלתי ותקרא שׁמו נפתלי׃
B’reisheet 30:9 ותרא לאה כי עמדה מלדת ותקח את־זלפה שׁפחתה ותתן אתה ליעקב לאשׁה׃
B’reisheet 30:10 ותלד זלפה שׁפחת לאה ליעקב בן׃
B’reisheet 30:11 ותאמר לאה בגד ותקרא את־שׁמו גד׃
B’reisheet 30:12 ותלד זלפה שׁפחת לאה בן שׁני ליעקב׃
B’reisheet 30:13 ותאמר לאה באשׁרי כי אשׁרוני בנות ותקרא את־שׁמו אשׁר׃
B’reisheet 30:14 וילך ראובן בימי קציר־חטים וימצא דודאים בשׂדה ויבא אתם אל־לאה אמו ותאמר רחל אל־לאה תני־נא לי מדודאי בנך׃
B’reisheet 30:15 ותאמר לה המעט קחתך את־אישׁי ולקחת גם את־דודאי בני ותאמר רחל לכן ישׁכב עמך הלילה תחת דודאי בנך׃
B’reisheet 30:16 ויבא יעקב מן־השׂדה בערב ותצא לאה לקראתו ותאמר אלי תבוא כי שׂכר שׂכרתיך בדודאי בני וישׁכב עמה בלילה הוא׃
B’reisheet 30:17 וישׁמע אלהים אל־לאה ותהר ותלד ליעקב בן חמישׁי׃
B’reisheet 30:18 ותאמר לאה נתן אלהים שׂכרי אשׁר־נתתי שׁפחתי לאישׁי ותקרא שׁמו ישׂשכר׃
B’reisheet 30:19 ותהר עוד לאה ותלד בן־שׁשׁי ליעקב׃
B’reisheet 30:20 ותאמר לאה זבדני אלהים אתי זבד טוב הפעם יזבלני אישׁי כי־ילדתי לו שׁשׁה בנים ותקרא את־שׁמו זבלון׃
B’reisheet 30:21 ואחר ילדה בת ותקרא את־שׁמה דינה׃
B’reisheet 30:22 ויזכר אלהים את־רחל וישׁמע אליה אלהים ויפתח את־רחמה׃
B’reisheet 30:23 ותהר ותלד בן ותאמר אסף אלהים את־חרפתי׃
B’reisheet 30:24 ותקרא את־שׁמו יוסף לאמר יסף יהוה לי בן אחר׃
B’reisheet 30:25 ויהי כאשׁר ילדה רחל את־יוסף ויאמר יעקב אל־לבן שׁלחני ואלכה אל־מקומי ולארצי׃
B’reisheet 30:26 תנה את־נשׁי ואת־ילדי אשׁר עבדתי אתך בהן ואלכה כי אתה ידעת את־עבדתי אשׁר עבדתיך׃
B’reisheet 30:27 ויאמר אליו לבן אם־נא מצאתי חן בעיניך נחשׁתי ויברכני יהוה בגללך׃
B’reisheet 30:28 ויאמר נקבה שׂכרך עלי ואתנה׃
B’reisheet 30:29 ויאמר אליו אתה ידעת את אשׁר עבדתיך ואת אשׁר־היה מקנך אתי׃
B’reisheet 30:30 כי מעט אשׁר־היה לך לפני ויפרץ לרב ויברך יהוה אתך לרגלי ועתה מתי אעשׂה גם־אנכי לביתי׃
B’reisheet 30:31 ויאמר מה אתן־לך ויאמר יעקב לא־תתן־לי מאומה אם־תעשׂה־לי הדבר הזה אשׁובה ארעה צאנך אשׁמר׃
B’reisheet 30:32 אעבר בכל־צאנך היום הסר משׁם כל־שׂה נקד וטלוא וכל־שׂה־חום בכשׂבים וטלוא ונקד בעזים והיה שׂכרי׃
B’reisheet 30:33 וענתה־בי צדקתי ביום מחר כי־תבוא על־שׂכרי לפניך כל אשׁר־איננו נקד וטלוא בעזים וחום בכשׂבים גנוב הוא אתי׃
B’reisheet 30:34 ויאמר לבן הן לו יהי כדברך׃
B’reisheet 30:35 ויסר ביום ההוא את־התישׁים העקדים והטלאים ואת כל־העזים הנקדות והטלאת כל אשׁר־לבן בו וכל־חום בכשׂבים ויתן ביד־בניו׃
B’reisheet 30:36 וישׂם דרך שׁלשׁת ימים בינו ובין יעקב ויעקב רעה את־צאן לבן הנותרת׃
B’reisheet 30:37 ויקח־לו יעקב מקל לבנה לח ולוז וערמון ויפצל בהן פצלות לבנות מחשׂף הלבן אשׁר על־המקלות׃
B’reisheet 30:38 ויצג את־המקלות אשׁר פצל ברהטים בשׁקתות המים אשׁר תבאן הצאן לשׁתות לנכח הצאן ויחמנה בבאן לשׁתות׃
B’reisheet 30:39 ויחמו הצאן אל־המקלות ותלדן הצאן עקדים נקדים וטלאים׃
B’reisheet 30:40 והכשׂבים הפריד יעקב ויתן פני הצאן אל־עקד וכל־חום בצאן לבן וישׁת־לו עדרים לבדו ולא שׁתם על־צאן לבן׃
B’reisheet 30:41 והיה בכל־יחם הצאן המקשׁרות ושׂם יעקב את־המקלות לעיני הצאן ברהטים ליחמנה במקלות׃
B’reisheet 30:42 ובהעטיף הצאן לא ישׂים והיה העטפים ללבן והקשׁרים ליעקב׃
B’reisheet 30:43 ויפרץ האישׁ מאד מאד ויהי־לו צאן רבות ושׁפחות ועבדים וגמלים וחמרים׃
B’reisheet 31:1 וישׁמע את־דברי בני־לבן לאמר לקח יעקב את כל־אשׁר לאבינו ומאשׁר לאבינו עשׂה את כל־הכבד הזה׃
B’reisheet 31:2 וירא יעקב את־פני לבן והנה איננו עמו כתמול שׁלשׁום׃
B’reisheet 31:3 ויאמר יהוה אל־יעקב שׁוב אל־ארץ אבותיך ולמולדתך ואהיה עמך׃
B’reisheet 31:4 וישׁלח יעקב ויקרא לרחל וללאה השׂדה אל־צאנו׃
B’reisheet 31:5 ויאמר להן ראה אנכי את־פני אביכן כי־איננו אלי כתמל שׁלשׁם ואלהי אבי היה עמדי׃
B’reisheet 31:6 ואתנה ידעתן כי בכל־כחי עבדתי את־אביכן׃
B’reisheet 31:7 ואביכן התל בי והחלף את־משׂכרתי עשׂרת מנים ולא־נתנו אלהים להרע עמדי׃
B’reisheet 31:8 אם־כה יאמר נקדים יהיה שׂכרך וילדו כל־הצאן נקדים ואם־כה יאמר עקדים יהיה שׂכרך וילדו כל־הצאן עקדים׃
B’reisheet 31:9 ויצל אלהים את־מקנה אביכם ויתן־לי׃
B’reisheet 31:10 ויהי בעת יחם הצאן ואשׂא עיני וארא בחלום והנה העתדים העלים על־הצאן עקדים נקדים וברדים׃
B’reisheet 31:11 ויאמר אלי מלאך האלהים בחלום יעקב ואמר הנני׃
B’reisheet 31:12 ויאמר שׂא־נא עיניך וראה כל־העתדים העלים על־הצאן עקדים נקדים וברדים כי ראיתי את כל־אשׁר לבן עשׂה לך׃
B’reisheet 31:13 אנכי האל בית־אל אשׁר משׁחת שׁם מצבה אשׁר נדרת לי שׁם נדר עתה קום צא מן־הארץ הזאת ושׁוב אל־ארץ מולדתך׃
B’reisheet 31:14 ותען רחל ולאה ותאמרנה לו העוד לנו חלק ונחלה בבית אבינו׃
B’reisheet 31:15 הלוא נכריות נחשׁבנו לו כי מכרנו ויאכל גם־אכול את־כספנו׃
B’reisheet 31:16 כי כל־העשׁר אשׁר הציל אלהים מאבינו לנו הוא ולבנינו ועתה כל אשׁר אמר אלהים אליך עשׂה׃
B’reisheet 31:17 ויקם יעקב וישׂא את־בניו ואת־נשׁיו על־הגמלים׃
B’reisheet 31:18 וינהג את־כל־מקנהו ואת־כל־רכשׁו אשׁר רכשׁ מקנה קנינו אשׁר רכשׁ בפדן ארם לבוא אל־יצחק אביו ארצה כנען׃
B’reisheet 31:19 ולבן הלך לגזז את־צאנו ותגנב רחל את־התרפים אשׁר לאביה׃
B’reisheet 31:20 ויגנב יעקב את־לב לבן הארמי על־בלי הגיד לו כי ברח הוא׃
B’reisheet 31:21 ויברח הוא וכל־אשׁר־לו ויקם ויעבר את־הנהר וישׂם את־פניו הר הגלעד׃
B’reisheet 31:22 ויגד ללבן ביום השׁלישׁי כי ברח יעקב׃
B’reisheet 31:23 ויקח את־אחיו עמו וירדף אחריו דרך שׁבעת ימים וידבק אתו בהר הגלעד׃
B’reisheet 31:24 ויבא אלהים אל־לבן הארמי בחלם הלילה ויאמר לו השׁמר לך פן־תדבר עם־יעקב מטוב עד־רע׃
B’reisheet 31:25 וישׂג לבן את־יעקב ויעקב תקע את־אהלו בהר ולבן תקע את־אחיו בהר הגלעד׃
B’reisheet 31:26 ויאמר לבן ליעקב מה עשׂית ותגנב את־לבבי ותנהג את־בנתי כשׁביות חרב׃
B’reisheet 31:27 למה נחבאת לברח ותגנב אתי ולא־הגדת לי ואשׁלחך בשׂמחה ובשׁרים בתף ובכנור׃
B’reisheet 31:28 ולא נטשׁתני לנשׁק לבני ולבנתי עתה הסכלת עשׂו׃
B’reisheet 31:29 ישׁ־לאל ידי לעשׂות עמכם רע ואלהי אביכם אמשׁ אמר אלי לאמר השׁמר לך מדבר עם־יעקב מטוב עד־רע׃
B’reisheet 31:30 ועתה הלך הלכת כי־נכסף נכספתה לבית אביך למה גנבת את־אלהי׃
B’reisheet 31:31 ויען יעקב ויאמר ללבן כי יראתי כי אמרתי פן־תגזל את־בנותיך מעמי׃
B’reisheet 31:32 עם אשׁר תמצא את־אלהיך לא יחיה נגד אחינו הכר־לך מה עמדי וקח־לך ולא־ידע יעקב כי רחל גנבתם׃
B’reisheet 31:33 ויבא לבן באהל יעקב ובאהל לאה ובאהל שׁתי האמהת ולא מצא ויצא מאהל לאה ויבא באהל רחל׃
B’reisheet 31:34 ורחל לקחה את־התרפים ותשׂמם בכר הגמל ותשׁב עליהם וימשׁשׁ לבן את־כל־האהל ולא מצא׃
B’reisheet 31:35 ותאמר אל־אביה אל־יחר בעיני אדני כי לוא אוכל לקום מפניך כי־דרך נשׁים לי ויחפשׂ ולא מצא את־התרפים׃
B’reisheet 31:36 ויחר ליעקב וירב בלבן ויען יעקב ויאמר ללבן מה־פשׁעי מה חטאתי כי דלקת אחרי׃
B’reisheet 31:37 כי־משׁשׁת את־כל־כלי מה־מצאת מכל כלי־ביתך שׂים כה נגד אחי ואחיך ויוכיחו בין שׁנינו׃
B’reisheet 31:38 זה עשׂרים שׁנה אנכי עמך רחליך ועזיך לא שׁכלו ואילי צאנך לא אכלתי׃
B’reisheet 31:39 טרפה לא־הבאתי אליך אנכי אחטנה מידי תבקשׁנה גנבתי יום וגנבתי לילה׃
B’reisheet 31:40 הייתי ביום אכלני חרב וקרח בלילה ותדד שׁנתי מעיני׃
B’reisheet 31:41 זה־לי עשׂרים שׁנה בביתך עבדתיך ארבע־עשׂרה שׁנה בשׁתי בנתיך ושׁשׁ שׁנים בצאנך ותחלף את־משׂכרתי עשׂרת מנים׃
B’reisheet 31:42 לולי אלהי אבי אלהי אברהם ופחד יצחק היה לי כי עתה ריקם שׁלחתני את־עניי ואת־יגיע כפי ראה אלהים ויוכח אמשׁ׃
B’reisheet 31:43 ויען לבן ויאמר אל־יעקב הבנות בנתי והבנים בני והצאן צאני וכל אשׁר־אתה ראה לי־הוא ולבנתי מה־אעשׂה לאלה היום או לבניהן אשׁר ילדו׃
B’reisheet 31:44 ועתה לכה נכרתה ברית אני ואתה והיה לעד ביני ובינך׃
B’reisheet 31:45 ויקח יעקב אבן וירימה מצבה׃
B’reisheet 31:46 ויאמר יעקב לאחיו לקטו אבנים ויקחו אבנים ויעשׂו־גל ויאכלו שׁם על־הגל׃
B’reisheet 31:47 ויקרא־לו לבן יגר שׂהדותא ויעקב קרא לו גלעד׃
B’reisheet 31:48 ויאמר לבן הגל הזה עד ביני ובינך היום על־כן קרא־שׁמו גלעד׃
B’reisheet 31:49 והמצפה אשׁר אמר יצף יהוה ביני ובינך כי נסתר אישׁ מרעהו׃
B’reisheet 31:50 אם־תענה את־בנתי ואם־תקח נשׁים על־בנתי אין אישׁ עמנו ראה אלהים עד ביני ובינך׃
B’reisheet 31:51 ויאמר לבן ליעקב הנה הגל הזה והנה המצבה אשׁר יריתי ביני ובינך׃
B’reisheet 31:52 עד הגל הזה ועדה המצבה אם־אני לא־אעבר אליך את־הגל הזה ואם־אתה לא־תעבר אלי את־הגל הזה ואת־המצבה הזאת לרעה׃
B’reisheet 31:53 אלהי אברהם ואלהי נחור ישׁפטו בינינו אלהי אביהם וישׁבע יעקב בפחד אביו יצחק׃
B’reisheet 31:54 ויזבח יעקב זבח בהר ויקרא לאחיו לאכל־לחם ויאכלו לחם וילינו בהר׃
B’reisheet 31:55 (32:1) וישׁכם לבן בבקר וינשׁק לבניו ולבנותיו ויברך אתהם וילך וישׁב לבן למקמו׃
B’reisheet 32:1 (32:2) ויעקב הלך לדרכו ויפגעו־בו מלאכי אלהים׃
B’reisheet 32:2 (32:3) ויאמר יעקב כאשׁר ראם מחנה אלהים זה ויקרא שׁם־המקום ההוא מחנים׃
B’reisheet 28:10 ויצא יעקב מבאר שׁבע וילך חרנה׃
B’reisheet 28:11 ויפגע במקום וילן שׁם כי־בא השׁמשׁ ויקח מאבני המקום וישׂם מראשׁתיו וישׁכב במקום ההוא׃
B’reisheet 28:12 ויחלם והנה סלם מצב ארצה וראשׁו מגיע השׁמימה והנה מלאכי אלהים עלים וירדים בו׃
B’reisheet 28:13 והנה יהוה נצב עליו ויאמר אני יהוה אלהי אברהם אביך ואלהי יצחק הארץ אשׁר אתה שׁכב עליה לך אתננה ולזרעך׃
B’reisheet 28:14 והיה זרעך כעפר הארץ ופרצת ימה וקדמה וצפנה ונגבה ונברכו בך כל־משׁפחת האדמה ובזרעך׃
B’reisheet 28:15 והנה אנכי עמך ושׁמרתיך בכל אשׁר־תלך והשׁבתיך אל־האדמה הזאת כי לא אעזבך עד אשׁר אם־עשׂיתי את אשׁר־דברתי לך׃
B’reisheet 28:16 וייקץ יעקב משׁנתו ויאמר אכן ישׁ יהוה במקום הזה ואנכי לא ידעתי׃
B’reisheet 28:17 ויירא ויאמר מה־נורא המקום הזה אין זה כי אם־בית אלהים וזה שׁער השׁמים׃
B’reisheet 28:18 וישׁכם יעקב בבקר ויקח את־האבן אשׁר־שׂם מראשׁתיו וישׂם אתה מצבה ויצק שׁמן על־ראשׁה׃
B’reisheet 28:19 ויקרא את־שׁם־המקום ההוא בית־אל ואולם לוז שׁם־העיר לראשׁנה׃
B’reisheet 28:20 וידר יעקב נדר לאמר אם־יהיה אלהים עמדי ושׁמרני בדרך הזה אשׁר אנכי הולך ונתן־לי לחם לאכל ובגד ללבשׁ׃
B’reisheet 28:21 ושׁבתי בשׁלום אל־בית אבי והיה יהוה לי לאלהים׃
B’reisheet 28:22 והאבן הזאת אשׁר־שׂמתי מצבה יהיה בית אלהים וכל אשׁר תתן־לי עשׂר אעשׂרנו לך׃
B’reisheet 29:1 וישׂא יעקב רגליו וילך ארצה בני־קדם׃
B’reisheet 29:2 וירא והנה באר בשׂדה והנה־שׁם שׁלשׁה עדרי־צאן רבצים עליה כי מן־הבאר ההוא ישׁקו העדרים והאבן גדלה על־פי הבאר׃
B’reisheet 29:3 ונאספו־שׁמה כל־העדרים וגללו את־האבן מעל פי הבאר והשׁקו את־הצאן והשׁיבו את־האבן על־פי הבאר למקמה׃
B’reisheet 29:4 ויאמר להם יעקב אחי מאין אתם ויאמרו מחרן אנחנו׃
B’reisheet 29:5 ויאמר להם הידעתם את־לבן בן־נחור ויאמרו ידענו׃
B’reisheet 29:6 ויאמר להם השׁלום לו ויאמרו שׁלום והנה רחל בתו באה עם־הצאן׃
B’reisheet 29:7 ויאמר הן עוד היום גדול לא־עת האסף המקנה השׁקו הצאן ולכו רעו׃
B’reisheet 29:8 ויאמרו לא נוכל עד אשׁר יאספו כל־העדרים וגללו את־האבן מעל פי הבאר והשׁקינו הצאן׃
B’reisheet 29:9 עודנו מדבר עמם ורחל באה עם־הצאן אשׁר לאביה כי רעה הוא׃
B’reisheet 29:10 ויהי כאשׁר ראה יעקב את־רחל בת־לבן אחי אמו ואת־צאן לבן אחי אמו ויגשׁ יעקב ויגל את־האבן מעל פי הבאר וישׁק את־צאן לבן אחי אמו׃
B’reisheet 29:11 וישׁק יעקב לרחל וישׂא את־קלו ויבך׃
B’reisheet 29:12 ויגד יעקב לרחל כי אחי אביה הוא וכי בן־רבקה הוא ותרץ ותגד לאביה׃
B’reisheet 29:13 ויהי כשׁמע לבן את־שׁמע יעקב בן־אחתו וירץ לקראתו ויחבק־לו וינשׁק־לו ויביאהו אל־ביתו ויספר ללבן את כל־הדברים האלה׃
B’reisheet 29:14 ויאמר לו לבן אך עצמי ובשׂרי אתה וישׁב עמו חדשׁ ימים׃
B’reisheet 29:15 ויאמר לבן ליעקב הכי־אחי אתה ועבדתני חנם הגידה לי מה־משׂכרתך׃
B’reisheet 29:16 וללבן שׁתי בנות שׁם הגדלה לאה ושׁם הקטנה רחל׃
B’reisheet 29:17 ועיני לאה רכות ורחל היתה יפת־תאר ויפת מראה׃
B’reisheet 29:18 ויאהב יעקב את־רחל ויאמר אעבדך שׁבע שׁנים ברחל בתך הקטנה׃
B’reisheet 29:19 ויאמר לבן טוב תתי אתה לך מתתי אתה לאישׁ אחר שׁבה עמדי׃
B’reisheet 29:20 ויעבד יעקב ברחל שׁבע שׁנים ויהיו בעיניו כימים אחדים באהבתו אתה׃
B’reisheet 29:21 ויאמר יעקב אל־לבן הבה את־אשׁתי כי מלאו ימי ואבואה אליה׃
B’reisheet 29:22 ויאסף לבן את־כל־אנשׁי המקום ויעשׂ משׁתה׃
B’reisheet 29:23 ויהי בערב ויקח את־לאה בתו ויבא אתה אליו ויבא אליה׃
B’reisheet 29:24 ויתן לבן לה את־זלפה שׁפחתו ללאה בתו שׁפחה׃
B’reisheet 29:25 ויהי בבקר והנה־הוא לאה ויאמר אל־לבן מה־זאת עשׂית לי הלא ברחל עבדתי עמך ולמה רמיתני׃
B’reisheet 29:26 ויאמר לבן לא־יעשׂה כן במקומנו לתת הצעירה לפני הבכירה׃
B’reisheet 29:27 מלא שׁבע זאת ונתנה לך גם־את־זאת בעבדה אשׁר תעבד עמדי עוד שׁבע־שׁנים אחרות׃
B’reisheet 29:28 ויעשׂ יעקב כן וימלא שׁבע זאת ויתן־לו את־רחל בתו לו לאשׁה׃
B’reisheet 29:29 ויתן לבן לרחל בתו את־בלהה שׁפחתו לה לשׁפחה׃
B’reisheet 29:30 ויבא גם אל־רחל ויאהב גם־את־רחל מלאה ויעבד עמו עוד שׁבע־שׁנים אחרות׃

B’reisheet 30:1 ותרא רחל כי לא ילדה ליעקב ותקנא רחל באחתה ותאמר אל־יעקב הבה־לי בנים ואם־אין מתה אנכי׃
B’reisheet 30:2 ויחר־אף יעקב ברחל ויאמר התחת אלהים אנכי אשׁר־מנע ממך פרי־בטן׃
B’reisheet 30:3 ותאמר הנה אמתי בלהה בא אליה ותלד על־ברכי ואבנה גם־אנכי ממנה׃
B’reisheet 30:4 ותתן־לו את־בלהה שׁפחתה לאשׁה ויבא אליה יעקב׃
B’reisheet 30:5 ותהר בלהה ותלד ליעקב בן׃
B’reisheet 30:6 ותאמר רחל דנני אלהים וגם שׁמע בקלי ויתן־לי בן על־כן קראה שׁמו דן׃
B’reisheet 30:7 ותהר עוד ותלד בלהה שׁפחת רחל בן שׁני ליעקב׃
B’reisheet 30:8 ותאמר רחל נפתולי אלהים נפתלתי עם־אחתי גם־יכלתי ותקרא שׁמו נפתלי׃
B’reisheet 30:9 ותרא לאה כי עמדה מלדת ותקח את־זלפה שׁפחתה ותתן אתה ליעקב לאשׁה׃
B’reisheet 30:10 ותלד זלפה שׁפחת לאה ליעקב בן׃
B’reisheet 30:11 ותאמר לאה בגד ותקרא את־שׁמו גד׃
B’reisheet 30:12 ותלד זלפה שׁפחת לאה בן שׁני ליעקב׃
B’reisheet 30:13 ותאמר לאה באשׁרי כי אשׁרוני בנות ותקרא את־שׁמו אשׁר׃
B’reisheet 30:14 וילך ראובן בימי קציר־חטים וימצא דודאים בשׂדה ויבא אתם אל־לאה אמו ותאמר רחל אל־לאה תני־נא לי מדודאי בנך׃
B’reisheet 30:15 ותאמר לה המעט קחתך את־אישׁי ולקחת גם את־דודאי בני ותאמר רחל לכן ישׁכב עמך הלילה תחת דודאי בנך׃
B’reisheet 30:16 ויבא יעקב מן־השׂדה בערב ותצא לאה לקראתו ותאמר אלי תבוא כי שׂכר שׂכרתיך בדודאי בני וישׁכב עמה בלילה הוא׃
B’reisheet 30:17 וישׁמע אלהים אל־לאה ותהר ותלד ליעקב בן חמישׁי׃
B’reisheet 30:18 ותאמר לאה נתן אלהים שׂכרי אשׁר־נתתי שׁפחתי לאישׁי ותקרא שׁמו ישׂשכר׃
B’reisheet 30:19 ותהר עוד לאה ותלד בן־שׁשׁי ליעקב׃
B’reisheet 30:20 ותאמר לאה זבדני אלהים אתי זבד טוב הפעם יזבלני אישׁי כי־ילדתי לו שׁשׁה בנים ותקרא את־שׁמו זבלון׃
B’reisheet 30:21 ואחר ילדה בת ותקרא את־שׁמה דינה׃
B’reisheet 30:22 ויזכר אלהים את־רחל וישׁמע אליה אלהים ויפתח את־רחמה׃
B’reisheet 30:23 ותהר ותלד בן ותאמר אסף אלהים את־חרפתי׃
B’reisheet 30:24 ותקרא את־שׁמו יוסף לאמר יסף יהוה לי בן אחר׃
B’reisheet 30:25 ויהי כאשׁר ילדה רחל את־יוסף ויאמר יעקב אל־לבן שׁלחני ואלכה אל־מקומי ולארצי׃
B’reisheet 30:26 תנה את־נשׁי ואת־ילדי אשׁר עבדתי אתך בהן ואלכה כי אתה ידעת את־עבדתי אשׁר עבדתיך׃
B’reisheet 30:27 ויאמר אליו לבן אם־נא מצאתי חן בעיניך נחשׁתי ויברכני יהוה בגללך׃
B’reisheet 30:28 ויאמר נקבה שׂכרך עלי ואתנה׃
B’reisheet 30:29 ויאמר אליו אתה ידעת את אשׁר עבדתיך ואת אשׁר־היה מקנך אתי׃
B’reisheet 30:30 כי מעט אשׁר־היה לך לפני ויפרץ לרב ויברך יהוה אתך לרגלי ועתה מתי אעשׂה גם־אנכי לביתי׃
B’reisheet 30:31 ויאמר מה אתן־לך ויאמר יעקב לא־תתן־לי מאומה אם־תעשׂה־לי הדבר הזה אשׁובה ארעה צאנך אשׁמר׃
B’reisheet 30:32 אעבר בכל־צאנך היום הסר משׁם כל־שׂה נקד וטלוא וכל־שׂה־חום בכשׂבים וטלוא ונקד בעזים והיה שׂכרי׃
B’reisheet 30:33 וענתה־בי צדקתי ביום מחר כי־תבוא על־שׂכרי לפניך כל אשׁר־איננו נקד וטלוא בעזים וחום בכשׂבים גנוב הוא אתי׃
B’reisheet 30:34 ויאמר לבן הן לו יהי כדברך׃
B’reisheet 30:35 ויסר ביום ההוא את־התישׁים העקדים והטלאים ואת כל־העזים הנקדות והטלאת כל אשׁר־לבן בו וכל־חום בכשׂבים ויתן ביד־בניו׃
B’reisheet 30:36 וישׂם דרך שׁלשׁת ימים בינו ובין יעקב ויעקב רעה את־צאן לבן הנותרת׃
B’reisheet 30:37 ויקח־לו יעקב מקל לבנה לח ולוז וערמון ויפצל בהן פצלות לבנות מחשׂף הלבן אשׁר על־המקלות׃
B’reisheet 30:38 ויצג את־המקלות אשׁר פצל ברהטים בשׁקתות המים אשׁר תבאן הצאן לשׁתות לנכח הצאן ויחמנה בבאן לשׁתות׃
B’reisheet 30:39 ויחמו הצאן אל־המקלות ותלדן הצאן עקדים נקדים וטלאים׃
B’reisheet 30:40 והכשׂבים הפריד יעקב ויתן פני הצאן אל־עקד וכל־חום בצאן לבן וישׁת־לו עדרים לבדו ולא שׁתם על־צאן לבן׃
B’reisheet 30:41 והיה בכל־יחם הצאן המקשׁרות ושׂם יעקב את־המקלות לעיני הצאן ברהטים ליחמנה במקלות׃
B’reisheet 30:42 ובהעטיף הצאן לא ישׂים והיה העטפים ללבן והקשׁרים ליעקב׃
B’reisheet 30:43 ויפרץ האישׁ מאד מאד ויהי־לו צאן רבות ושׁפחות ועבדים וגמלים וחמרים׃
B’reisheet 31:1 וישׁמע את־דברי בני־לבן לאמר לקח יעקב את כל־אשׁר לאבינו ומאשׁר לאבינו עשׂה את כל־הכבד הזה׃
B’reisheet 31:2 וירא יעקב את־פני לבן והנה איננו עמו כתמול שׁלשׁום׃
B’reisheet 31:3 ויאמר יהוה אל־יעקב שׁוב אל־ארץ אבותיך ולמולדתך ואהיה עמך׃
B’reisheet 31:4 וישׁלח יעקב ויקרא לרחל וללאה השׂדה אל־צאנו׃
B’reisheet 31:5 ויאמר להן ראה אנכי את־פני אביכן כי־איננו אלי כתמל שׁלשׁם ואלהי אבי היה עמדי׃
B’reisheet 31:6 ואתנה ידעתן כי בכל־כחי עבדתי את־אביכן׃
B’reisheet 31:7 ואביכן התל בי והחלף את־משׂכרתי עשׂרת מנים ולא־נתנו אלהים להרע עמדי׃
B’reisheet 31:8 אם־כה יאמר נקדים יהיה שׂכרך וילדו כל־הצאן נקדים ואם־כה יאמר עקדים יהיה שׂכרך וילדו כל־הצאן עקדים׃
B’reisheet 31:9 ויצל אלהים את־מקנה אביכם ויתן־לי׃
B’reisheet 31:10 ויהי בעת יחם הצאן ואשׂא עיני וארא בחלום והנה העתדים העלים על־הצאן עקדים נקדים וברדים׃
B’reisheet 31:11 ויאמר אלי מלאך האלהים בחלום יעקב ואמר הנני׃
B’reisheet 31:12 ויאמר שׂא־נא עיניך וראה כל־העתדים העלים על־הצאן עקדים נקדים וברדים כי ראיתי את כל־אשׁר לבן עשׂה לך׃
B’reisheet 31:13 אנכי האל בית־אל אשׁר משׁחת שׁם מצבה אשׁר נדרת לי שׁם נדר עתה קום צא מן־הארץ הזאת ושׁוב אל־ארץ מולדתך׃
B’reisheet 31:14 ותען רחל ולאה ותאמרנה לו העוד לנו חלק ונחלה בבית אבינו׃
B’reisheet 31:15 הלוא נכריות נחשׁבנו לו כי מכרנו ויאכל גם־אכול את־כספנו׃
B’reisheet 31:16 כי כל־העשׁר אשׁר הציל אלהים מאבינו לנו הוא ולבנינו ועתה כל אשׁר אמר אלהים אליך עשׂה׃
B’reisheet 31:17 ויקם יעקב וישׂא את־בניו ואת־נשׁיו על־הגמלים׃
B’reisheet 31:18 וינהג את־כל־מקנהו ואת־כל־רכשׁו אשׁר רכשׁ מקנה קנינו אשׁר רכשׁ בפדן ארם לבוא אל־יצחק אביו ארצה כנען׃
B’reisheet 31:19 ולבן הלך לגזז את־צאנו ותגנב רחל את־התרפים אשׁר לאביה׃
B’reisheet 31:20 ויגנב יעקב את־לב לבן הארמי על־בלי הגיד לו כי ברח הוא׃
B’reisheet 31:21 ויברח הוא וכל־אשׁר־לו ויקם ויעבר את־הנהר וישׂם את־פניו הר הגלעד׃
B’reisheet 31:22 ויגד ללבן ביום השׁלישׁי כי ברח יעקב׃
B’reisheet 31:23 ויקח את־אחיו עמו וירדף אחריו דרך שׁבעת ימים וידבק אתו בהר הגלעד׃
B’reisheet 31:24 ויבא אלהים אל־לבן הארמי בחלם הלילה ויאמר לו השׁמר לך פן־תדבר עם־יעקב מטוב עד־רע׃
B’reisheet 31:25 וישׂג לבן את־יעקב ויעקב תקע את־אהלו בהר ולבן תקע את־אחיו בהר הגלעד׃
B’reisheet 31:26 ויאמר לבן ליעקב מה עשׂית ותגנב את־לבבי ותנהג את־בנתי כשׁביות חרב׃
B’reisheet 31:27 למה נחבאת לברח ותגנב אתי ולא־הגדת לי ואשׁלחך בשׂמחה ובשׁרים בתף ובכנור׃
B’reisheet 31:28 ולא נטשׁתני לנשׁק לבני ולבנתי עתה הסכלת עשׂו׃
B’reisheet 31:29 ישׁ־לאל ידי לעשׂות עמכם רע ואלהי אביכם אמשׁ אמר אלי לאמר השׁמר לך מדבר עם־יעקב מטוב עד־רע׃
B’reisheet 31:30 ועתה הלך הלכת כי־נכסף נכספתה לבית אביך למה גנבת את־אלהי׃
B’reisheet 31:31 ויען יעקב ויאמר ללבן כי יראתי כי אמרתי פן־תגזל את־בנותיך מעמי׃
B’reisheet 31:32 עם אשׁר תמצא את־אלהיך לא יחיה נגד אחינו הכר־לך מה עמדי וקח־לך ולא־ידע יעקב כי רחל גנבתם׃
B’reisheet 31:33 ויבא לבן באהל יעקב ובאהל לאה ובאהל שׁתי האמהת ולא מצא ויצא מאהל לאה ויבא באהל רחל׃
B’reisheet 31:34 ורחל לקחה את־התרפים ותשׂמם בכר הגמל ותשׁב עליהם וימשׁשׁ לבן את־כל־האהל ולא מצא׃
B’reisheet 31:35 ותאמר אל־אביה אל־יחר בעיני אדני כי לוא אוכל לקום מפניך כי־דרך נשׁים לי ויחפשׂ ולא מצא את־התרפים׃
B’reisheet 31:36 ויחר ליעקב וירב בלבן ויען יעקב ויאמר ללבן מה־פשׁעי מה חטאתי כי דלקת אחרי׃
B’reisheet 31:37 כי־משׁשׁת את־כל־כלי מה־מצאת מכל כלי־ביתך שׂים כה נגד אחי ואחיך ויוכיחו בין שׁנינו׃
B’reisheet 31:38 זה עשׂרים שׁנה אנכי עמך רחליך ועזיך לא שׁכלו ואילי צאנך לא אכלתי׃
B’reisheet 31:39 טרפה לא־הבאתי אליך אנכי אחטנה מידי תבקשׁנה גנבתי יום וגנבתי לילה׃
B’reisheet 31:40 הייתי ביום אכלני חרב וקרח בלילה ותדד שׁנתי מעיני׃
B’reisheet 31:41 זה־לי עשׂרים שׁנה בביתך עבדתיך ארבע־עשׂרה שׁנה בשׁתי בנתיך ושׁשׁ שׁנים בצאנך ותחלף את־משׂכרתי עשׂרת מנים׃
B’reisheet 31:42 לולי אלהי אבי אלהי אברהם ופחד יצחק היה לי כי עתה ריקם שׁלחתני את־עניי ואת־יגיע כפי ראה אלהים ויוכח אמשׁ׃
B’reisheet 31:43 ויען לבן ויאמר אל־יעקב הבנות בנתי והבנים בני והצאן צאני וכל אשׁר־אתה ראה לי־הוא ולבנתי מה־אעשׂה לאלה היום או לבניהן אשׁר ילדו׃
B’reisheet 31:44 ועתה לכה נכרתה ברית אני ואתה והיה לעד ביני ובינך׃
B’reisheet 31:45 ויקח יעקב אבן וירימה מצבה׃
B’reisheet 31:46 ויאמר יעקב לאחיו לקטו אבנים ויקחו אבנים ויעשׂו־גל ויאכלו שׁם על־הגל׃
B’reisheet 31:47 ויקרא־לו לבן יגר שׂהדותא ויעקב קרא לו גלעד׃
B’reisheet 31:48 ויאמר לבן הגל הזה עד ביני ובינך היום על־כן קרא־שׁמו גלעד׃
B’reisheet 31:49 והמצפה אשׁר אמר יצף יהוה ביני ובינך כי נסתר אישׁ מרעהו׃
B’reisheet 31:50 אם־תענה את־בנתי ואם־תקח נשׁים על־בנתי אין אישׁ עמנו ראה אלהים עד ביני ובינך׃
B’reisheet 31:51 ויאמר לבן ליעקב הנה הגל הזה והנה המצבה אשׁר יריתי ביני ובינך׃
B’reisheet 31:52 עד הגל הזה ועדה המצבה אם־אני לא־אעבר אליך את־הגל הזה ואם־אתה לא־תעבר אלי את־הגל הזה ואת־המצבה הזאת לרעה׃
B’reisheet 31:53 אלהי אברהם ואלהי נחור ישׁפטו בינינו אלהי אביהם וישׁבע יעקב בפחד אביו יצחק׃
B’reisheet 31:54 ויזבח יעקב זבח בהר ויקרא לאחיו לאכל־לחם ויאכלו לחם וילינו בהר׃

B’reisheet 28:10 And Ya`akov̱ went out from Be’ĕrsheḇa and went toward Ḥaran.
B’reisheet 28:11 And he came upon a place and stopped over for the night, for the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.
B’reisheet 28:12 And he dreamed and saw a ladder set up on the earth, and its top reached to the heavens, and saw messengers of Elohim going up and coming down on it.
B’reisheet 28:13 And see, יהוה stood above it and said, “I am יהוה Elohim of Avraham your father and the Elohim of Yitzchak. The land on which you are lying, I give it to you and your seed.
B’reisheet 28:14 “And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall break forth to the west and to the east, to the north and the south. And all the clans of the earth shall be blessed in you and in your seed.
B’reisheet 28:15 “And see, I am with you and shall guard you wherever you go, and shall bring you back to this land. For I am not going to leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”
B’reisheet 28:16 And Ya`akov̱ awoke from his sleep and said, “Truly, יהוה is in this place, and I did not know it.”
B’reisheet 28:17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of Elohim, and this is the gate of the heavens!”
B’reisheet 28:18 And Ya`akov̱ rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a standing column, and poured oil on top of it.
B’reisheet 28:19 And he called the name of that place Bĕyth Ěl, however, the name of that city had been Luz previously.
B’reisheet 28:20 And Ya`akov̱ made a vow, saying, “Seeing Elohim is with me, and has kept me in this way that I am going, and has given me bread to eat and a garment to put on –
B’reisheet 28:21 when I have returned to my father’s house in peace, and יהוה has been my Elohim,
B’reisheet 28:22 then this stone which I have set as a standing column shall be Elohim’s house, and of all that You give me, I shall certainly give a tenth to You.”
B’reisheet 29:1 And Ya`akov̱ moved on and came to the land of the people of the East.
B’reisheet 29:2 And he looked and saw a well in the field, and saw three flocks of sheep lying by it, for out of that well they watered the flocks, and a large stone was on the well’s mouth.
B’reisheet 29:3 And all the flocks would be gathered there, then they would roll the stone from the well’s mouth and water the sheep, and put the stone back in its place on the well’s mouth.
B’reisheet 29:4 So Ya`akov̱ said to them, “My brothers, where are you from?” And they said, “We are from Ḥaran.”
B’reisheet 29:5 And he said to them, “Do you know Laḇan son of Naḥor?” And they said, “We know him.”
B’reisheet 29:6 So he said to them, “Is he well?” And they said, “Well. And see, his daughter Raḥĕl is coming with the sheep.”
B’reisheet 29:7 And he said, “See, it is still high day, not the time for the livestock to be gathered together. Water the sheep, and go and feed them.”
B’reisheet 29:8 But they said, “We are not allowed until all the flocks are gathered together, and they have rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, then we shall water the sheep.”
B’reisheet 29:9 While he was still speaking with them, Raḥĕl came with her father’s sheep, for she was a shepherdess.
B’reisheet 29:10 And it came to be, when Ya`akov̱ saw Raḥĕl the daughter of Laḇan his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laḇan his mother’s brother, that Ya`akov̱ went near and rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the flock of Laḇan his mother’s brother.
B’reisheet 29:11 And Ya`akov̱ kissed Raḥĕl, and lifted up his voice and wept.
B’reisheet 29:12 And when Ya`akov̱ told Raḥĕl that he was her father’s relative and that he was Rivkah’s son, she ran and told her father.
B’reisheet 29:13 And it came to be, when Laḇan heard the report about Ya`akov̱ his sister’s son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him and kissed him, and brought him to his house. Then he told Laḇan all these matters.
B’reisheet 29:14 And Laḇan said to him, “You are indeed my bone and my flesh.” And he stayed with him for a month.
B’reisheet 29:15 Then Laḇan said to Ya`akov̱, “Because you are my relative, should you therefore serve me for naught? Let me know, what should your wages be?”
B’reisheet 29:16 And Laḇan had two daughters, the name of the elder was Lĕ’ah, and the name of the younger was Raḥĕl.
B’reisheet 29:17 And Lĕ’ah’s eyes were weak, but Raḥĕl was lovely of form and appearance.
B’reisheet 29:18 And Ya`akov̱ loved Raḥĕl, so he said, “Let me serve you seven years for Raḥĕl your younger daughter.”
B’reisheet 29:19 And Laḇan said, “It is better that I give her to you than that I should give her to another man. Stay with me.”
B’reisheet 29:20 So Ya`akov̱ served seven years for Raḥĕl, and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love he had for her.
B’reisheet 29:21 Then Ya`akov̱ said to Laḇan, “Give me my wife, for my days are completed, and let me go in to her.”
B’reisheet 29:22 And Laḇan gathered all the men of the place and made a feast.
B’reisheet 29:23 And it came to be in the evening, that he took Lĕ’ah his daughter and brought her to Ya`akov̱. And he went in to her.
B’reisheet 29:24 And Laḇan gave his female slave Zilpah to his daughter Lĕ’ah as a female slave.
B’reisheet 29:25 And in the morning it came to be, that see, it was Lĕ’ah. So he said to Laḇan, “What is this you have done to me? Was it not for Raḥĕl that I served you? Why then have you deceived me?”
B’reisheet 29:26 And Laḇan said, “It is not done this way in our place, to give the younger before the first-born.
B’reisheet 29:27 “Complete the week of this one, then we give you this one too, for the service which you shall serve with me still another seven years.”
B’reisheet 29:28 And Ya`akov̱ did so and completed her week. Then he gave him his daughter Raḥĕl too, as wife.
B’reisheet 29:29 And Laḇan gave his female slave Bilhah to his daughter Raḥĕl as a female slave.
B’reisheet 29:30 And he also went in to Raḥĕl, and he also loved Raḥĕl more than Lĕ’ah. And he served with Laḇan still another seven years.
B’reisheet 29:31 And יהוה saw that Lĕ’ah was unloved, and He opened her womb, but Raḥĕl was barren.
B’reisheet 29:32 And Lĕ’ah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Re’uḇĕn, for she said, “For יהוה has looked on my affliction, because now my husband is going to love me.”
B’reisheet 29:33 And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Because יהוה has heard that I am unloved, He gave me this son too.” And she called his name Shimʽon.
B’reisheet 29:34 And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now this time my husband is joined to me, because I have borne him three sons.” So his name was called Lĕwi.
B’reisheet 29:35 And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now I praise יהוה.” So she called his name Yehuḏah. And she ceased bearing.
B’reisheet 30:1 And when Raḥĕl saw that she bore Ya`akov̱ no children, Raḥĕl envied her sister, and said to Ya`akov̱, “Give me children, or else I am going to die!”
B’reisheet 30:2 And Ya`akov’s̱ displeasure burned against Raḥĕl, and he said, “Am I in the place of Elohim, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”
B’reisheet 30:3 And she said, “See, my female slave Bilhah; go in to her, and let her bear for me, and let me be built up from her as well.”
B’reisheet 30:4 So she gave him Bilhah her female slave as wife, and Ya`akov̱ went in to her.
B’reisheet 30:5 And Bilhah conceived and bore Ya`akov̱ a son.
B’reisheet 30:6 And Raḥĕl said, “Elohim has rightly ruled my case, and has also heard my voice and given me a son.” So she called his name Dan.
B’reisheet 30:7 And Raḥĕl’s female slave Bilhah conceived again and bore Ya`akov̱ a second son.
B’reisheet 30:8 And Raḥĕl said, “With great wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister, and I have overcome.” So she called his name Naphtali.
B’reisheet 30:9 And Lĕ’ah saw that she had ceased bearing, and she took Zilpah her female slave and gave her to Ya`akov̱ as wife.
B’reisheet 30:10 And Lĕ’ah’s female slave Zilpah bore Ya`akov̱ a son.
B’reisheet 30:11 And Lĕ’ah said, “With Gaḏ!” So she called his name Gaḏ.
B’reisheet 30:12 And Lĕ’ah’s female slave Zilpah bore Ya`akov̱ a second son.
B’reisheet 30:13 And Lĕ’ah said, “I am blessed, for the daughters shall call me blessed.” So she called his name Ashĕr.
B’reisheet 30:14 And Re’uḇĕn went in the days of wheat harvest and found love-apples in the field, and brought them to his mother Lĕ’ah. And Raḥĕl said to Lĕ’ah, “Please give me some of your son’s love-apples.”
B’reisheet 30:15 But she said to her, “Is it a small matter that you have taken away my husband? Would you take away my son’s love-apples too?” And Raḥĕl said, “Therefore let him lie with you tonight for your son’s love-apples.”
B’reisheet 30:16 And when Ya`akov̱ came out of the field in the evening, Lĕ’ah went out to meet him and said, “Do come in to me, for indeed, I have hired you with my son’s love-apples.” And he lay with her that night.
B’reisheet 30:17 And Elohim listened to Lĕ’ah, and she conceived and bore Ya`akov̱ a fifth son.
B’reisheet 30:18 And Lĕ’ah said, “Elohim has given me my hire, because I have given my female slave to my husband.” So she called his name Yissasḵar.
B’reisheet 30:19 And Lĕ’ah conceived again and bore Ya`akov̱ a sixth son.
B’reisheet 30:20 And Lĕ’ah said, “Elohim has presented me with a good present. Now my husband is going to dwell with me, because I have borne him six sons.” So she called his name Zeḇulun.
B’reisheet 30:21 And afterward she bore a daughter, and called her name Dinah.
B’reisheet 30:22 And Elohim remembered Raḥĕl, and Elohim listened to her and opened her womb.
B’reisheet 30:23 And she conceived, and bore a son, and said, “Elohim has taken away my reproach.”
B’reisheet 30:24 So she called his name Yosĕph, and said, “יהוה has added to me another son.”
B’reisheet 30:25 And it came to be, when Raḥĕl had borne Yosĕph, that Ya`akov̱ said to Laḇan, “Send me on my way, to go to my own place and to my land.
B’reisheet 30:26 “Give my wives and my children for whom I have served you, and let me go, for you yourself know my service which I have done for you.”
B’reisheet 30:27 And Laḇan said to him, “If I have found favor in your eyes, please stay, for I have diligently watched that יהוה has blessed me for your sake.”
B’reisheet 30:28 And he said, “Name me your wages, and I give it.”
B’reisheet 30:29 So he said to him, “You know how I have served you and how your livestock has been with me.
B’reisheet 30:30 “For the little you had before I came has increased greatly, and יהוה has blessed you since my coming. But now, when am I to provide for my own house too?”
B’reisheet 30:31 And he said, “What do I give you?” And Ya`akov̱ said, “Give me naught! If you do this for me, I shall again feed and guard your flocks:
B’reisheet 30:32 “Let me pass through all your flock today, removing from there all the speckled and spotted sheep, and all the black ones among the lambs, and the spotted and speckled among the goats. And these shall be my wages.
B’reisheet 30:33 “And my righteousness shall answer for me in time to come, when you come concerning my wages: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and black among the lambs, it is stolen if it is with me.”
B’reisheet 30:34 And Laḇan said, “See, let it be according to your word!”
B’reisheet 30:35 And on that day he set aside the male goats that were speckled and spotted, and all the female goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had some white in it, and all the black ones among the lambs, and gave them into the hand of his sons.
B’reisheet 30:36 And he put three days’ journey between himself and Ya`akov̱, and Ya`akov̱ fed the rest of Laḇan’s flocks.
B’reisheet 30:37 And Ya`akov̱ took for himself rods of green poplar and of the almond and chestnut trees, peeled white strips in them, and exposed the white which was in the rods.
B’reisheet 30:38 And he set the rods which he had peeled before the flocks in the gutters, in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink, and they conceived when they came to drink.
B’reisheet 30:39 So the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks brought forth streaked, speckled, and spotted.
B’reisheet 30:40 And Ya`akov̱ separated the lambs, and made the flocks face toward the streaked and all the black in the flock of Laḇan, but he put his own flocks by themselves and did not put them with Laḇan’s flock.
B’reisheet 30:41 And it came to be, whenever the strong ones of the flock conceived, that Ya`akov̱ placed the rods before the eyes of the flock in the gutters, so they would conceive among the rods.
B’reisheet 30:42 But when the flocks were weak, he did not put them in, so the weak ones were Laḇan’s and the strong ones Ya`akov’s̱.
B’reisheet 30:43 Thus the man increased very much, and had many flocks, and female and male slaves, and camels and donkeys.
B’reisheet 31:1 And he heard the words of Laḇan’s sons, saying, “Ya`akov̱ has taken away all that was our father’s, and from what belonged to our father he has made all this wealth.”
B’reisheet 31:2 And Ya`akov̱ would look at the face of Laḇan and see that it was not toward him as before.
B’reisheet 31:3 And יהוה said to Ya`akov̱, “Return to the land of your fathers and to your relatives. And I am with you.”
B’reisheet 31:4 And Ya`akov̱ sent and called Raḥĕl and Lĕ’ah to the field, to his flock,
B’reisheet 31:5 and said to them, “I see your father’s face, that it is not toward me as before, but the Elohim of my father has been with me.
B’reisheet 31:6 “And you know that I have served your father with all my strength.
B’reisheet 31:7 “Yet your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but Elohim did not allow him to do evil to me.
B’reisheet 31:8 “When he said this, ‘The speckled are your wages,’ then all the flocks bore speckled. And when he said this, ‘The streaked are your wages,’ then all the flocks bore streaked.
B’reisheet 31:9 “So Elohim has taken away the livestock of your father and given them to me.
B’reisheet 31:10 “And it came to be, at the time when the flocks conceived, that I lifted my eyes and looked in a dream and saw the rams which leaped upon the flocks were streaked, speckled, and mottled.
B’reisheet 31:11 “And the Messenger of Elohim spoke to me in a dream, saying, ‘Ya`akov̱.’ And I said, ‘Here I am.’
B’reisheet 31:12 “And He said, ‘Lift your eyes now and see, all the rams which leap on the flocks are streaked, speckled, and mottled, for I have seen all that Laḇan is doing to you.
B’reisheet 31:13 ‘I am the Ěl of Bĕyth Ěl, where you anointed the standing column and where you made a vow to Me. Now rise up, get out of this land, and return to the land of your relatives.’ ”
B’reisheet 31:14 And Raḥĕl and Lĕ’ah answered and said to him, “Do we still have any portion or inheritance in our father’s house?
B’reisheet 31:15 “Are we not reckoned by him as strangers? For he has sold us, and also entirely consumed our silver.
B’reisheet 31:16 “For all the wealth which Elohim has taken from our father are ours and our children’s. Now then, do whatever Elohim has told you.”
B’reisheet 31:17 So Ya`akov̱ rose and put his sons and his wives on camels,
B’reisheet 31:18 and he drove off all his livestock and all his possessions which he had acquired, his property of the livestock which he had acquired in Paddan Aram, to go to his father Yitzchak in the land of Kenaʽan.
B’reisheet 31:19 And when Laḇan had gone to shear his sheep, Raḥĕl stole the house idols that were her father’s.
B’reisheet 31:20 And Ya`akov̱ deceived Laḇan the Aramean, because he did not inform him that he was about to flee.
B’reisheet 31:21 And he fled with all that he had. And he rose up and passed over the river, and headed toward the mountains of Gilʽaḏ.
B’reisheet 31:22 And on the third day Laḇan was told that Ya`akov̱ had fled.
B’reisheet 31:23 Then he took his brothers with him and pursued him for seven days’ journey, and he overtook him in the mountains of Gilʽaḏ.
B’reisheet 31:24 But in a dream by night Elohim came to Laḇan the Aramean, and said to him, “Guard yourself, that you do not speak to Ya`akov̱ either good or evil.”
B’reisheet 31:25 Then Laḇan overtook Ya`akov̱. Now Ya`akov̱ had pitched his tent in the mountains, and Laḇan with his brothers pitched in the mountains of Gilʽaḏ.
B’reisheet 31:26 And Laḇan said to Ya`akov̱, “What have you done, that you have deceived me, and driven my daughters off like captives taken with the sword?
B’reisheet 31:27 “Why did you flee secretly and deceive me, and not inform me, and I would have sent you away with joy and songs, with tambourine and lyre?
B’reisheet 31:28 “And you did not allow me to kiss my sons and my daughters. Now you have been foolish to do this.
B’reisheet 31:29 “It is in the power of my hand to do evil to you, but the Elohim of your father spoke to me last night, saying, ‘Guard yourself, that you do not speak to Ya`akov̱ either good or evil.’
B’reisheet 31:30 “And now you have gone because you greatly long for your father’s house, but why did you steal my mighty ones?”
B’reisheet 31:31 And Ya`akov̱ answered and said to Laḇan, “Because I was afraid, for I said, ‘Lest you tear your daughters away from me.’
B’reisheet 31:32 “With whomever you find your mighty ones, do not let him live. In the presence of our brothers, see for yourself what is with me and take it with you.” For Ya`akov̱ did not know that Raḥĕl had stolen them.
B’reisheet 31:33 And Laḇan went into Ya`akov’s̱ tent, and into Lĕ’ah’s tent, and into the tents of the two female slaves, but he did not find them. And he came out of Lĕ’ah’s tent and entered Raḥĕl’s tent.
B’reisheet 31:34 Now Raḥĕl had taken the house idols and put them in the camel’s saddle, and sat on them. And Laḇan searched all about the tent but did not find them.
B’reisheet 31:35 And she said to her father, “Let it not displease my master that I am unable to rise before you, for the way of women is with me.” And he searched but did not find the house idols.
B’reisheet 31:36 And Ya`akov̱ was wroth and contended with Laḇan, and Ya`akov̱ answered and said to Laḇan, “What is my transgression? What is my sin, that you have hotly pursued me?
B’reisheet 31:37 “Now that you have searched all my goods what have you found of all your household goods? Set it here before my brothers and your brothers, and let them decide between the two of us!
B’reisheet 31:38 “These twenty years I have been with you. Your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried their young, and I have not eaten the rams of your sheep.
B’reisheet 31:39 “That which was torn by beasts I did not bring to you, I myself bore the loss of it. You required it from my hand, whether stolen by day or stolen by night.
B’reisheet 31:40 “Thus I was! By day the heat consumed me, and the frost by night, and my sleep fled from my eyes.
B’reisheet 31:41 “These twenty years I have been in your house. I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your flock, and you have changed my wages ten times.
B’reisheet 31:42 “Unless the Elohim of my father, the Elohim of Avraham and the Fear of Yitzchak, had been with me, you would now have sent me away empty-handed. Elohim has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rendered judgment last night.”
B’reisheet 31:43 And Laḇan answered and said to Ya`akov̱, “These daughters are my daughters, and these children are my children, and this flock is my flock, and all that you see is mine. But what shall I do today to these, my daughters or to their children whom they have borne?
B’reisheet 31:44 “And now, come, let us make a covenant, you and I, and it shall be a witness between you and me.”
B’reisheet 31:45 So Ya`akov̱ took a stone and set it up as a standing column.
B’reisheet 31:46 And Ya`akov̱ said to his brothers, “Gather stones.” And they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there on the heap.
B’reisheet 31:47 And Laḇan called it Yeḡar Sahaḏutha, but Ya`akov̱ called it Galʽĕḏ.
B’reisheet 31:48 And Laḇan said, “This heap is a witness between you and me today.” That is why its name was called Galʽĕḏ,
B’reisheet 31:49 also Mitspah, because he said, “Let יהוה watch between you and me when we are out of each other’s sight.
B’reisheet 31:50 “If you afflict my daughters, or if you take other wives besides my daughters, although no man is with us; see, Elohim is witness between you and me!”
B’reisheet 31:51 And Laḇan said to Ya`akov̱, “See this heap and see this standing column, which I have placed between you and me.
B’reisheet 31:52 “This heap is a witness, and this standing column is a witness, that I do not pass beyond this heap to you, and you do not pass beyond this heap and this standing column to me, for evil.
B’reisheet 31:53 “The Elohim of Avraham, the Elohim of Naḥor, and the Elohim of their father rightly rule between us!” And Ya`akov̱ swore by the Fear of his father Yitzchak.
B’reisheet 31:54 And Ya`akov̱ brought an offering on the mountain, and called his brothers to eat bread. And they ate bread and spent the night on the mountain.
B’reisheet 31:55 And Laḇan rose up early in the morning, and kissed his sons and daughters and blessed them. And Laḇan left and returned to his place.
B’reisheet 32:1 And Ya`akov̱ went on his way, and the messengers of Elohim met him.
B’reisheet 32:2 And when Ya`akov̱ saw them, he said, “This is the camp of Elohim.” And he called the name of that place Maḥanayim.
B’reisheet 28:10 And Ya`akov̱ went out from Be’ĕrsheḇa and went toward Ḥaran.
B’reisheet 28:11 And he came upon a place and stopped over for the night, for the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.
B’reisheet 28:12 And he dreamed and saw a ladder set up on the earth, and its top reached to the heavens, and saw messengers of Elohim going up and coming down on it.
B’reisheet 28:13 And see, יהוה stood above it and said, “I am יהוה Elohim of Avraham your father and the Elohim of Yitzchak. The land on which you are lying, I give it to you and your seed.
B’reisheet 28:14 “And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall break forth to the west and to the east, to the north and the south. And all the clans of the earth shall be blessed in you and in your seed.
B’reisheet 28:15 “And see, I am with you and shall guard you wherever you go, and shall bring you back to this land. For I am not going to leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”
B’reisheet 28:16 And Ya`akov̱ awoke from his sleep and said, “Truly, יהוה is in this place, and I did not know it.”
B’reisheet 28:17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of Elohim, and this is the gate of the heavens!”
B’reisheet 28:18 And Ya`akov̱ rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a standing column, and poured oil on top of it.
B’reisheet 28:19 And he called the name of that place Bĕyth Ěl, however, the name of that city had been Luz previously.
B’reisheet 28:20 And Ya`akov̱ made a vow, saying, “Seeing Elohim is with me, and has kept me in this way that I am going, and has given me bread to eat and a garment to put on –
B’reisheet 28:21 when I have returned to my father’s house in peace, and יהוה has been my Elohim,
B’reisheet 28:22 then this stone which I have set as a standing column shall be Elohim’s house, and of all that You give me, I shall certainly give a tenth to You.”
B’reisheet 29:1 And Ya`akov̱ moved on and came to the land of the people of the East.
B’reisheet 29:2 And he looked and saw a well in the field, and saw three flocks of sheep lying by it, for out of that well they watered the flocks, and a large stone was on the well’s mouth.
B’reisheet 29:3 And all the flocks would be gathered there, then they would roll the stone from the well’s mouth and water the sheep, and put the stone back in its place on the well’s mouth.
B’reisheet 29:4 So Ya`akov̱ said to them, “My brothers, where are you from?” And they said, “We are from Ḥaran.”
B’reisheet 29:5 And he said to them, “Do you know Laḇan son of Naḥor?” And they said, “We know him.”
B’reisheet 29:6 So he said to them, “Is he well?” And they said, “Well. And see, his daughter Raḥĕl is coming with the sheep.”
B’reisheet 29:7 And he said, “See, it is still high day, not the time for the livestock to be gathered together. Water the sheep, and go and feed them.”
B’reisheet 29:8 But they said, “We are not allowed until all the flocks are gathered together, and they have rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, then we shall water the sheep.”
B’reisheet 29:9 While he was still speaking with them, Raḥĕl came with her father’s sheep, for she was a shepherdess.
B’reisheet 29:10 And it came to be, when Ya`akov̱ saw Raḥĕl the daughter of Laḇan his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laḇan his mother’s brother, that Ya`akov̱ went near and rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the flock of Laḇan his mother’s brother.
B’reisheet 29:11 And Ya`akov̱ kissed Raḥĕl, and lifted up his voice and wept.
B’reisheet 29:12 And when Ya`akov̱ told Raḥĕl that he was her father’s relative and that he was Rivkah’s son, she ran and told her father.
B’reisheet 29:13 And it came to be, when Laḇan heard the report about Ya`akov̱ his sister’s son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him and kissed him, and brought him to his house. Then he told Laḇan all these matters.
B’reisheet 29:14 And Laḇan said to him, “You are indeed my bone and my flesh.” And he stayed with him for a month.
B’reisheet 29:15 Then Laḇan said to Ya`akov̱, “Because you are my relative, should you therefore serve me for naught? Let me know, what should your wages be?”
B’reisheet 29:16 And Laḇan had two daughters, the name of the elder was Lĕ’ah, and the name of the younger was Raḥĕl.
B’reisheet 29:17 And Lĕ’ah’s eyes were weak, but Raḥĕl was lovely of form and appearance.
B’reisheet 29:18 And Ya`akov̱ loved Raḥĕl, so he said, “Let me serve you seven years for Raḥĕl your younger daughter.”
B’reisheet 29:19 And Laḇan said, “It is better that I give her to you than that I should give her to another man. Stay with me.”
B’reisheet 29:20 So Ya`akov̱ served seven years for Raḥĕl, and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love he had for her.
B’reisheet 29:21 Then Ya`akov̱ said to Laḇan, “Give me my wife, for my days are completed, and let me go in to her.”
B’reisheet 29:22 And Laḇan gathered all the men of the place and made a feast.
B’reisheet 29:23 And it came to be in the evening, that he took Lĕ’ah his daughter and brought her to Ya`akov̱. And he went in to her.
B’reisheet 29:24 And Laḇan gave his female slave Zilpah to his daughter Lĕ’ah as a female slave.
B’reisheet 29:25 And in the morning it came to be, that see, it was Lĕ’ah. So he said to Laḇan, “What is this you have done to me? Was it not for Raḥĕl that I served you? Why then have you deceived me?”
B’reisheet 29:26 And Laḇan said, “It is not done this way in our place, to give the younger before the first-born.
B’reisheet 29:27 “Complete the week of this one, then we give you this one too, for the service which you shall serve with me still another seven years.”
B’reisheet 29:28 And Ya`akov̱ did so and completed her week. Then he gave him his daughter Raḥĕl too, as wife.
B’reisheet 29:29 And Laḇan gave his female slave Bilhah to his daughter Raḥĕl as a female slave.
B’reisheet 29:30 And he also went in to Raḥĕl, and he also loved Raḥĕl more than Lĕ’ah. And he served with Laḇan still another seven years.
B’reisheet 29:31 And יהוה saw that Lĕ’ah was unloved, and He opened her womb, but Raḥĕl was barren.
B’reisheet 29:32 And Lĕ’ah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Re’uḇĕn, for she said, “For יהוה has looked on my affliction, because now my husband is going to love me.”
B’reisheet 29:33 And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Because יהוה has heard that I am unloved, He gave me this son too.” And she called his name Shimʽon.
B’reisheet 29:34 And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now this time my husband is joined to me, because I have borne him three sons.” So his name was called Lĕwi.
B’reisheet 29:35 And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now I praise יהוה.” So she called his name Yehuḏah. And she ceased bearing.
B’reisheet 30:1 And when Raḥĕl saw that she bore Ya`akov̱ no children, Raḥĕl envied her sister, and said to Ya`akov̱, “Give me children, or else I am going to die!”
B’reisheet 30:2 And Ya`akov’s̱ displeasure burned against Raḥĕl, and he said, “Am I in the place of Elohim, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”
B’reisheet 30:3 And she said, “See, my female slave Bilhah; go in to her, and let her bear for me, and let me be built up from her as well.”
B’reisheet 30:4 So she gave him Bilhah her female slave as wife, and Ya`akov̱ went in to her.
B’reisheet 30:5 And Bilhah conceived and bore Ya`akov̱ a son.
B’reisheet 30:6 And Raḥĕl said, “Elohim has rightly ruled my case, and has also heard my voice and given me a son.” So she called his name Dan.
B’reisheet 30:7 And Raḥĕl’s female slave Bilhah conceived again and bore Ya`akov̱ a second son.
B’reisheet 30:8 And Raḥĕl said, “With great wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister, and I have overcome.” So she called his name Naphtali.
B’reisheet 30:9 And Lĕ’ah saw that she had ceased bearing, and she took Zilpah her female slave and gave her to Ya`akov̱ as wife.
B’reisheet 30:10 And Lĕ’ah’s female slave Zilpah bore Ya`akov̱ a son.
B’reisheet 30:11 And Lĕ’ah said, “With Gaḏ!” So she called his name Gaḏ.
B’reisheet 30:12 And Lĕ’ah’s female slave Zilpah bore Ya`akov̱ a second son.
B’reisheet 30:13 And Lĕ’ah said, “I am blessed, for the daughters shall call me blessed.” So she called his name Ashĕr.

B’reisheet 30:37 And Ya`akov̱ took for himself rods of green poplar and of the almond and chestnut trees, peeled white strips in them, and exposed the white which was in the rods.
B’reisheet 30:38 And he set the rods which he had peeled before the flocks in the gutters, in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink, and they conceived when they came to drink.
B’reisheet 30:39 So the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks brought forth streaked, speckled, and spotted.
B’reisheet 30:40 And Ya`akov̱ separated the lambs, and made the flocks face toward the streaked and all the black in the flock of Laḇan, but he put his own flocks by themselves and did not put them with Laḇan’s flock.
B’reisheet 30:41 And it came to be, whenever the strong ones of the flock conceived, that Ya`akov̱ placed the rods before the eyes of the flock in the gutters, so they would conceive among the rods.
B’reisheet 30:42 But when the flocks were weak, he did not put them in, so the weak ones were Laḇan’s and the strong ones Ya`akov’s̱.
B’reisheet 30:43 Thus the man increased very much, and had many flocks, and female and male slaves, and camels and donkeys.
B’reisheet 31:1 And he heard the words of Laḇan’s sons, saying, “Ya`akov̱ has taken away all that was our father’s, and from what belonged to our father he has made all this wealth.”
B’reisheet 31:2 And Ya`akov̱ would look at the face of Laḇan and see that it was not toward him as before.
B’reisheet 31:3 And יהוה said to Ya`akov̱, “Return to the land of your fathers and to your relatives. And I am with you.”
B’reisheet 31:4 And Ya`akov̱ sent and called Raḥĕl and Lĕ’ah to the field, to his flock,
B’reisheet 31:5 and said to them, “I see your father’s face, that it is not toward me as before, but the Elohim of my father has been with me.
B’reisheet 31:6 “And you know that I have served your father with all my strength.
B’reisheet 31:7 “Yet your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but Elohim did not allow him to do evil to me.
B’reisheet 31:8 “When he said this, ‘The speckled are your wages,’ then all the flocks bore speckled. And when he said this, ‘The streaked are your wages,’ then all the flocks bore streaked.
B’reisheet 31:9 “So Elohim has taken away the livestock of your father and given them to me.
B’reisheet 31:10 “And it came to be, at the time when the flocks conceived, that I lifted my eyes and looked in a dream and saw the rams which leaped upon the flocks were streaked, speckled, and mottled.
B’reisheet 31:11 “And the Messenger of Elohim spoke to me in a dream, saying, ‘Ya`akov̱.’ And I said, ‘Here I am.’
B’reisheet 31:12 “And He said, ‘Lift your eyes now and see, all the rams which leap on the flocks are streaked, speckled, and mottled, for I have seen all that Laḇan is doing to you.
B’reisheet 31:13 ‘I am the Ěl of Bĕyth Ěl, where you anointed the standing column and where you made a vow to Me. Now rise up, get out of this land, and return to the land of your relatives.’ ”
B’reisheet 31:14 And Raḥĕl and Lĕ’ah answered and said to him, “Do we still have any portion or inheritance in our father’s house?
B’reisheet 31:15 “Are we not reckoned by him as strangers? For he has sold us, and also entirely consumed our silver.
B’reisheet 31:16 “For all the wealth which Elohim has taken from our father are ours and our children’s. Now then, do whatever Elohim has told you.”
B’reisheet 31:17 So Ya`akov̱ rose and put his sons and his wives on camels,
B’reisheet 31:18 and he drove off all his livestock and all his possessions which he had acquired, his property of the livestock which he had acquired in Paddan Aram, to go to his father Yitzchak in the land of Kenaʽan.
B’reisheet 31:19 And when Laḇan had gone to shear his sheep, Raḥĕl stole the house idols that were her father’s.
B’reisheet 31:20 And Ya`akov̱ deceived Laḇan the Aramean, because he did not inform him that he was about to flee.
B’reisheet 31:21 And he fled with all that he had. And he rose up and passed over the river, and headed toward the mountains of Gilʽaḏ.
B’reisheet 31:22 And on the third day Laḇan was told that Ya`akov̱ had fled.
B’reisheet 31:23 Then he took his brothers with him and pursued him for seven days’ journey, and he overtook him in the mountains of Gilʽaḏ.
B’reisheet 31:24 But in a dream by night Elohim came to Laḇan the Aramean, and said to him, “Guard yourself, that you do not speak to Ya`akov̱ either good or evil.”
B’reisheet 31:25 Then Laḇan overtook Ya`akov̱. Now Ya`akov̱ had pitched his tent in the mountains, and Laḇan with his brothers pitched in the mountains of Gilʽaḏ.
B’reisheet 31:26 And Laḇan said to Ya`akov̱, “What have you done, that you have deceived me, and driven my daughters off like captives taken with the sword?
B’reisheet 31:27 “Why did you flee secretly and deceive me, and not inform me, and I would have sent you away with joy and songs, with tambourine and lyre?
B’reisheet 31:28 “And you did not allow me to kiss my sons and my daughters. Now you have been foolish to do this.
B’reisheet 31:29 “It is in the power of my hand to do evil to you, but the Elohim of your father spoke to me last night, saying, ‘Guard yourself, that you do not speak to Ya`akov̱ either good or evil.’
B’reisheet 31:30 “And now you have gone because you greatly long for your father’s house, but why did you steal my mighty ones?”
B’reisheet 31:31 And Ya`akov̱ answered and said to Laḇan, “Because I was afraid, for I said, ‘Lest you tear your daughters away from me.’
B’reisheet 31:32 “With whomever you find your mighty ones, do not let him live. In the presence of our brothers, see for yourself what is with me and take it with you.” For Ya`akov̱ did not know that Raḥĕl had stolen them.
B’reisheet 31:33 And Laḇan went into Ya`akov’s̱ tent, and into Lĕ’ah’s tent, and into the tents of the two female slaves, but he did not find them. And he came out of Lĕ’ah’s tent and entered Raḥĕl’s tent.
B’reisheet 31:34 Now Raḥĕl had taken the house idols and put them in the camel’s saddle, and sat on them. And Laḇan searched all about the tent but did not find them.
B’reisheet 31:35 And she said to her father, “Let it not displease my master that I am unable to rise before you, for the way of women is with me.” And he searched but did not find the house idols.
B’reisheet 31:36 And Ya`akov̱ was wroth and contended with Laḇan, and Ya`akov̱ answered and said to Laḇan, “What is my transgression? What is my sin, that you have hotly pursued me?
B’reisheet 31:37 “Now that you have searched all my goods what have you found of all your household goods? Set it here before my brothers and your brothers, and let them decide between the two of us!
B’reisheet 31:38 “These twenty years I have been with you. Your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried their young, and I have not eaten the rams of your sheep.
B’reisheet 31:39 “That which was torn by beasts I did not bring to you, I myself bore the loss of it. You required it from my hand, whether stolen by day or stolen by night.
B’reisheet 31:40 “Thus I was! By day the heat consumed me, and the frost by night, and my sleep fled from my eyes.
B’reisheet 31:41 “These twenty years I have been in your house. I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your flock, and you have changed my wages ten times.
B’reisheet 31:42 “Unless the Elohim of my father, the Elohim of Avraham and the Fear of Yitzchak, had been with me, you would now have sent me away empty-handed. Elohim has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rendered judgment last night.”
B’reisheet 31:43 And Laḇan answered and said to Ya`akov̱, “These daughters are my daughters, and these children are my children, and this flock is my flock, and all that you see is mine. But what shall I do today to these, my daughters or to their children whom they have borne?
B’reisheet 31:44 “And now, come, let us make a covenant, you and I, and it shall be a witness between you and me.”
B’reisheet 31:45 So Ya`akov̱ took a stone and set it up as a standing column.
B’reisheet 31:46 And Ya`akov̱ said to his brothers, “Gather stones.” And they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there on the heap.
B’reisheet 31:47 And Laḇan called it Yeḡar Sahaḏutha, but Ya`akov̱ called it Galʽĕḏ.
B’reisheet 31:48 And Laḇan said, “This heap is a witness between you and me today.” That is why its name was called Galʽĕḏ,
B’reisheet 31:49 also Mitspah, because he said, “Let יהוה watch between you and me when we are out of each other’s sight.
B’reisheet 31:50 “If you afflict my daughters, or if you take other wives besides my daughters, although no man is with us; see, Elohim is witness between you and me!”
B’reisheet 31:51 And Laḇan said to Ya`akov̱, “See this heap and see this standing column, which I have placed between you and me.
B’reisheet 31:52 “This heap is a witness, and this standing column is a witness, that I do not pass beyond this heap to you, and you do not pass beyond this heap and this standing column to me, for evil.
B’reisheet 31:53 “The Elohim of Avraham, the Elohim of Naḥor, and the Elohim of their father rightly rule between us!” And Ya`akov̱ swore by the Fear of his father Yitzchak.
B’reisheet 31:54 And Ya`akov̱ brought an offering on the mountain, and called his brothers to eat bread. And they ate bread and spent the night on the mountain.
B’reisheet 31:55 And Laḇan rose up early in the morning, and kissed his sons and daughters and blessed them. And Laḇan left and returned to his place.
B’reisheet 32:1 And Ya`akov̱ went on his way, and the messengers of Elohim met him.
B’reisheet 32:2 And when Ya`akov̱ saw them, he said, “This is the camp of Elohim.” And he called the name of that place Maḥanayim.
