Yochanan 18-21
Yochanan 18:1 ויהי ככלות ישוע לדבר את־הדברים האלה ויצא החוצה עם־תלמידיו אל־עבר לנחל קדרון ושם היה גן ויבא בו הוא ותלמידיו׃
Yochanan 18:2 וגם־יהודה מוסרו ידע את־המקום כי־פעמים רבות נועד שמה ישוע עם־תלמידיו׃
Yochanan 18:3 ויקח יהודה את־הגדוד ומשרתים מאת ראשי הכהנים והפרושים ויבא שמה בנרות ובלפידים ובכלי־נשק׃
Yochanan 18:4 וישוע ידע את כל־אשר יבא עליו ויצא ויאמר אליהם את־מי תבקשו׃
Yochanan 18:5 ויענו ויאמרו את־ישוע הנצרי ויאמר אליהם ישוע אני הוא וגם־יהודה מוסרו עמד אצלם׃
Yochanan 18:6 ויהי באמר ישוע אליהם אני הוא ויסגו אחור ויפלו ארצה׃
Yochanan 18:7 ויסף ויאמר אליהם את־מי תבקשו ויאמרו את־ישוע הנצרי׃
Yochanan 18:8 ויען ישוע ויאמר הלא אמרתי לכם אני הוא לכן אם־אתי תבקשו הניחו לאלה וילכו׃
Yochanan 18:9 למלאת הדבר אשר דבר אשר נתתם לי מאלה לא־אבד לי אף־אחד׃
Yochanan 18:10 ולשמעון פטרוס חרב וישלפה ויך את־עבד הכהן הגדול ויקצץ את־אזנו הימנית ושם העבד מלכוס׃
Yochanan 18:11 ויאמר ישוע אל־פטרוס השב חרבך אל־נדנה הלא־אשתה את־הכוס אשר נתן־לי אבי׃
Yochanan 18:12 אז תפשו הגדוד ושר האלף ומשרתי היהודים את־ישוע ויאסרהו׃
Yochanan 18:13 ויוליכהו בראשונה אל־חנן כי הוא היה חותן קיפא אשר שמש בכהנה גדולה בשנה ההיא׃
Yochanan 18:14 הוא קיפא אשר יעץ את־היהודים לאמר טוב אשר איש־אחד יאבד בעד כל־העם׃
Yochanan 18:15 ושמעון פטרוס ותלמיד אחר הלכו אחרי ישוע והתלמיד ההוא היה נודע לכהן הגדול ויבא עם־ישוע לחצר הכהן הגדול׃
Yochanan 18:16 ופטרוס עמד מחוץ לשער ויצא התלמיד האחר הנודע לכהן הגדול וידבר אל־השערת ויבא את־פטרוס הביתה׃
Yochanan 18:17 ותאמר האמה השערת אל־פטרוס הלא גם־אתה מתלמידי האיש הזה ויאמר לא׃
Yochanan 18:18 והעבדים והמשרתים הדליקו אש גחלים מפני הקר ויעמדו ויתחממו וגם־פטרוס עמד עמם ומתחמם׃
Yochanan 18:19 וישאל הכהן הגדול את־ישוע על־תלמידיו ועל־לקחו׃
Yochanan 18:20 ויען ישוע ויאמר אליו אנכי דברתי באזני כל־העולם ותמיד למדתי בבית כנסת ובבית המקדש אשר כל־היהודים נקהלים שמה ולא־דברתי דבר בסתר׃
Yochanan 18:21 ומה־תשאל אתי שאל־נא את־השמעים מה־שדברתי אליהם הנם יודעים את־אשר אמרתי׃
Yochanan 18:22 ויהי כדברו הדברים האלה ויך אחד המשרתים העמד שמה את־ישוע על־הלחי ויאמר הכזאת תענה את־הכהן הגדול׃
Yochanan 18:23 ויען אותו ישוע אם־רעה דברתי הגד רעתי ואם־טוב מדוע תכה לחיי׃
Yochanan 18:24 וישלחהו חנן אסור באזיקים אל־קיפא הכהן הגדול׃
Yochanan 18:25 ושמעון פטרוס עמד ומתחמם ויאמרו אליו הלא גם־אתה מתלמידיו ויכחש ויאמר לא׃
Yochanan 18:26 ויאמר איש מעבדי הכהן הגדול והוא מודע לאשר קצץ פטרוס את־אזנו הלא ראיתיך עמו בגן׃
Yochanan 18:27 ויסף פטרוס ויכחש ופתאם קרא התרנגול׃
Yochanan 18:28 ויהי בבקר השכם ויוליכו את־ישוע מבית קיפא אל־בית המשפט והמה לא נכנסו שמה למען אשר לא־יטמאו כי אם־יאכלו את־הפסח׃
Yochanan 18:29 ויצא פילטוס אליהם ויאמר מה־תאשימו את־האיש הזה׃
Yochanan 18:30 ויענו ויאמרו אליו לולא היה זה עשה רע כי עתה לא הסגרנהו אליך׃
Yochanan 18:31 ויאמר אליהם פילטוס קחו אתו אתם ושפטהו כתורתכם ויאמרו אליו היהודים אין־לנו רשות להמית איש׃
Yochanan 18:32 למלאת דבר ישוע אשר דבר לרמז אי־זו מיתה סופו למות׃
Yochanan 18:33 וישב פילטוס אל־בית המשפט ויקרא אל־ישוע ויאמר אליו האתה הוא מלך היהודים׃
Yochanan 18:34 ויען אתו ישוע לאמר המלבך תדבר זאת או אחרים הגידו־לך עלי׃
Yochanan 18:35 ויאמר פילטוס הכי אנכי יהודי הלא עמך וראשי הכהנים הסגירוך אלי מה עשית׃
Yochanan 18:36 ויען ישוע ויאמר מלכותי איננה מן־העולם הזה לו־היתה מלכותי מן־העולם הזה כי אז נלחמו לי משרתי לבלתי המסר ביד היהודים אבל עתה מלכותי איננה מפה׃
Yochanan 18:37 ויאמר אליו פילטוס אם־כן אפוא מלך אתה ויען ישוע לאמר אתה אמרת כי־מלך אנכי לזאת נולדתי ולזאת באתי בעולם להעיד לאמת כל־אשר הוא מן־האמת ישמע בקולי׃
Yochanan 18:38 ויאמר אליו פילטוס מה היא האמת ואחרי דברו זאת יצא שנית אל־היהודים ויאמר אליהם אני לא־מצאתי בו כל־עון׃
Yochanan 18:39 הן מנהג הוא לכם שאשלח לכם איש אחד חפשי בפסח רצונכם שאשלח לכם את־מלך היהודים׃
Yochanan 18:40 ויוסיפו ויצעקו לאמר לא את־האיש הזה אלא את־בר־אבא ובר־אבא היה שדד׃
Yochanan 19:1 אז לקח פילטוס את־ישוע וייסרהו בשוטים׃
Yochanan 19:2 וישרגו אנשי הצבא עטרת קצים וישימו על־ראשו ויעטהו לבוש ארגמן׃
Yochanan 19:3 ויאמרו שלום לך מלך היהודים ויכהו על־הלחי׃
Yochanan 19:4 ויצא פילטוס עוד החוצה ויאמר אליהם הנני מוציא אתו אליכם למען תדעו כי לא־מצאתי בו כל־עון׃
Yochanan 19:5 וישוע יצא החוץ ועליו עטרת הקצים ולבוש הארגמן ויאמר אליהם פילטוס הנה האדם׃
Yochanan 19:6 ויהי כאשר ראהו ראשי הכהנים והמשרתים ויצעקו לאמר הצלב הצלב ויאמר אליהם פילטוס קחהו אתם והצליבהו כי אנכי לא־מצאתי בו אשמה׃
Yochanan 19:7 ויענו היהודים ויאמרו תורה יש־לנו ועל־פי תורתנו חיב־מיתה הוא כי־עשה עצמו בן־אלהים׃
Yochanan 19:8 ויהי כשמע פילטוס את־הדבר הזה ויאסף לרא עוד׃
Yochanan 19:9 וישב ויבא אל־בית המשפט ויאמר אל־ישוע מאין אתה ולא־השיבו ישוע דבר׃
Yochanan 19:10 ויאמר אליו פילטוס אלי לא תדבר הלא ידעת כי יש־לאל ידי לצלבך ויש־לאל ידי לשלח׃
Yochanan 19:11 ויען ישוע לאמר לא היתה־לך רשות עלי לולא נתן־לך מלמעלה לכן עון המסגיר אתי אליך גדול מעונך׃
Yochanan 19:12 אז יבקש פילטוס לשלחו והיהודים קראו ויאמרו אם־תשלח את־זה אינך אהב לקיסר כי כל־העשה עצמו מלך מרד בקיסר הוא׃
Yochanan 19:13 ויהי כשמע פילטוס את־הדבר הזה הוציא את־ישוע וישב על־כסא המשפט במקום הנקרא רצפה ובלשונם גבתא׃
Yochanan 19:14 והעת ערב פסח וכשעה הששית ויאמר אל־היהודים הנה מלככם והם זעקו טול טול צלב אתו׃
Yochanan 19:15 ויאמר אליהם פילטוס הצלב אצלב את־מלככם ויענו ראשי הכהנים אין־לנו מלך כי אם־קיסר׃
Yochanan 19:16 אז מסרו אליהם להצלב ויקחו את־ישוע ויוליכהו׃
Yochanan 19:17 וישא את־צלובו ויצא אל־המקום הנקרא מקום הגלגלת ובלשונם גלגלתא׃
Yochanan 19:18 ויצלבו אתו שמה ושני אנשים אחרים עמו מזה אחד ומזה אחד וישוע בתוך׃
Yochanan 19:19 ופילטוס כתב על־לוח וישם על־הצלוב וזה־דבר מכתבו ישוע הנצרי מלך היהודים׃
Yochanan 19:20 ויהודים רבים קראו את־המכתב הזה כי המקום אשר נצלב־שם ישוע קרוב אל־העיר והמכתב כתוב עברית ויונית ורומית׃
Yochanan 19:21 ויאמרו ראשי כהני היהודים אל־פילטוס אל־נא תכתב מלך היהודים כי אם־אשר אמר אני מלך היהודים׃
Yochanan 19:22 ויען פילטוס ויאמר את־אשר כתבתי כתבתי׃
Yochanan 19:23 ויהי כאשר צלבו אנשי הצבא את־ישוע ויקחו את־בגדיו ויחלקום לארבעה חלקים חלק לאיש וגם את־כתנתו והכתנת לא־היתה תפורה כי אם־מעשה ארג מפיה ועד־קצה׃
Yochanan 19:24 ויאמרו איש אל־אחיו אל־נא נקרעה לקרעים כי־נפיל עליה גורל למי תהיה למלאת דבר הכתוב יחלקו בגדי להם ועל־לבושי יפילו גורל ויעשו־כן אנשי הצבא׃
Yochanan 19:25 ועל־יד צלוב ישוע עמדו אמו ואחות אמו מרים אשת קלופס ומרים המגדלית׃
Yochanan 19:26 וירא ישוע את־אמו ואת־תלמידו אשר אהב עמדים אצלו ויאמר אל־אמו אשה הנה בנך׃
Yochanan 19:27 ואחר אמר אל־תלמידו הנה אמך ומן־השעה ההיא אסף אתה התלמיד אל־ביתו׃
Yochanan 19:28 ויהי מאחרי־כן כאשר ידע ישוע כי כבר נעשה הכל למען ימלא הכתוב כלו אמר צמאתי׃
Yochanan 19:29 ושם־כלי מלא חמץ ויטבלו ספוג בחמץ וישימו על־אזוב ויקריבו אל־פיו׃
Yochanan 19:30 ויקח ישוע את־החמץ ויאמר כלה ויט את־ראשו ותצא רוחו׃
Yochanan 19:31 והיהודים אמרו לא ילינו הפגרים על־הצלוב ביום השבת כי־ערב שבת היה וגדול יום השבת ההוא וישאלו מן־פילטוס לשבר את־שוקיהם ולהוריד אתם׃
Yochanan 19:32 ויבאו אנשי הצבא וישברו את־שוקי האחד ואת־שוקי השני הנצלבים עמו׃
Yochanan 19:33 ויבאו אל־ישוע ויראו והנה מת ולא שברו את־שוקיו׃
Yochanan 19:34 ואחד מאנשי הצבא דקרו בחנית בצדו ויצא דם ומים׃
Yochanan 19:35 והראה זאת העיד ועדותו קימת והוא יודע כי אמת יגיד למען גם־אתם תאמינו׃
Yochanan 19:36 כי זאת היתה למלאת הכתוב ועצם לא־תשברו בו׃
Yochanan 19:37 ועוד כתוב אחר אמר והביטו אליו את אשר דקרו׃
Yochanan 19:38 ואחר בא יוסף הרמתי והוא תלמיד ישוע בסתר מפני היהודים וישאל מאת פילטוס אשר יתנהו לשאת את־גופת ישוע וינח לו פילטוס ויבא וישא את־גופת ישוע׃
Yochanan 19:39 ויבא גם־נקדימון אשר בא־לפנים בלילה אל־ישוע ויבא תערבת מר־ואהלות כמאה ליטרין׃
Yochanan 19:40 ויקחו את־גופת ישוע ויחתלוה בתכריכין עם־הבשמים כמנהג היהודים לקבר את־מתיהם׃
Yochanan 19:41 ובמקום אשר נצלב היה גן ובגן קבר חדש אשר לא־הנח בו מת עד־הנה׃
Yochanan 19:42 שם שמו את־ישוע כי־ערב שבת היה ליהודים והקבר קרוב׃
Yochanan 20:1 ויהי באחד בשבת לפנות הבקר בעוד חשך ותבא מרים המגדלית אל־הקבר ותרא והנה־האבן מוסרה מעל הקבר׃
Yochanan 20:2 ותרץ ותבא אל־שמעון פטרוס ואל־התלמיד האחר אשר ישוע אהבו ותאמר אליהם הנה נשאו את־האדון מקברו ולא ידענו איפה הניחהו׃
Yochanan 20:3 ויצא פטרוס והתלמיד האחר וילכו אל־הקבר׃
Yochanan 20:4 וירוצו שניהם יחדו וימהר התלמיד האחר לרוץ ויעבר את־פטרוס ויבא ראשונה אל־הקבר׃
Yochanan 20:5 וישקף אל־תוכו וירא את־התכריכין מנחים ולא נכנס׃
Yochanan 20:6 ויבא שמעון פטרוס אחריו והוא נכנס אל־הקבר וירא את־התכריכין מנחים׃
Yochanan 20:7 והסודר אשר היתה על־ראשו איננה מנחת אצל התכריכין כי אם־מקפלת לבדה במקום אחד׃
Yochanan 20:8 והתלמיד האחר אשר בא ראשונה אל־הקבר גם־הוא נכנס וירא ויאמן׃
Yochanan 20:9 כי עדן לא־הבינו את־הכתוב אשר קום יקום מעם המתים׃
Yochanan 20:10 וישובו התלמידים וילכו אל־ביתם׃
Yochanan 20:11 ומרים עמדה מחוץ לקבר והיא בוכיה ויהי בבכותה ותשקף אל־תוך הקבר׃
Yochanan 20:12 ותרא שני מלאכים לבושי לבנים ישבים במקום אשר שמו שם את־גופת ישוע אחד מראשותיו ואחד מרגלותיו׃
Yochanan 20:13 ויאמרו אליה אשה למה תבכי ותאמר אליהם כי נשאו מזה את־אדני ולא ידעתי איפה הניחהו׃
Yochanan 20:14 ויהי ככלותה לדבר זאת ותפן אחריה ותרא והנה ישוע עמד ולא ידעה כי ישוע הוא׃
Yochanan 20:15 ויאמר אליה ישוע אשה למה תבכי את־מי תבקשי והיא חשבתהו לשמר הגן ותאמר אליו אדני אם־אתה נשאת אתו מזה הגידה־נא לי איפה הנחתו ולקחתיו משם׃
Yochanan 20:16 ויאמר אליה ישוע מרים ותפן ותאמר אליו רבוני הוא מורה׃
Yochanan 20:17 ויאמר אליה ישוע אל־תגעי בי כי עוד לא עליתי אל־אבי ולכי־נא אל־אחי והגידי להם אני עלה אל־אבי ואביכם ואל־אלהי ואלהיכם׃
Yochanan 20:18 ותבא מרים המגדלית ותספר אל־התלמידים את אשר־ראתה את־האדון וכזאת דבר אליה׃
Yochanan 20:19 ויהי ביום ההוא והוא אחד בשבת לעת־ערב כאשר נסגרו דלתות הבית אשר־נקבצו שם התלמידים מיראת היהודים ויבא ישוע ויעמד ביניהם ויאמר אליהם שלום לכם׃
Yochanan 20:20 ואחרי דברו זאת הראם את־ידיו ואת־צדו וישמחו התלמידים בראותם את־האדון׃
Yochanan 20:21 ויסף ישוע ויאמר אליהם שלום לכם כאשר שלח אתי האב כן אנכי שלח אתכם׃
Yochanan 20:22 ואחרי דברו זאת ויפח בהם ויאמר אליהם קחו לכם את־רוח הקדש׃
Yochanan 20:23 והיה כל־אשר תסלחו לחטאתם ונסלח להם ואשר תאשימו יאשמו׃
Yochanan 20:24 ותומא אחד משנים העשר הנקרא דידומוס לא־היה בתוכם כבוא ישוע׃
Yochanan 20:25 ויגידו לו התלמידים הנשארים לאמר ראה ראינו את־האדון ויאמר אליהם אם־לא אראה בידיו את־רשם המסמרות ואשים את־אצבעי במקום המסמרות ואשים את־ידי בצדו לא אאמין׃
Yochanan 20:26 ויהי מקצה שמונת ימים ותלמידיו שנית בבית ותומא עמהם ויבא ישוע והדלתות מסגרות ויעמד ביניהם ויאמר שלום לכם׃
Yochanan 20:27 ואחר אמר אל־תומא שלח אצבעך הנה וראה את־ידי ושלח את־ידך הנה ושים בצדי ואל־תהי מחסר אמונה כי אם־מאמין׃
Yochanan 20:28 ויען תומא ויאמר אליו אדני ואלהי׃
Yochanan 20:29 ויאמר אליו ישוע יען ראית אתי האמנת אשרי המאמינים ואינם ראים׃
Yochanan 20:30 והנה גם־אתות אחרים רבים עשה ישוע לעיני תלמידיו אשר לא־נכתבו בספר הזה׃
Yochanan 20:31 ואלה נכתבו למען תאמינו כי ישוע הוא המשיח בן־אלהים ולמען יהיו לכם חיים בשמו באמונתכם׃
Yochanan 21:1 ויהי אחרי־כן ויסף ישוע להראות אל־תלמידיו על־ים טיבריה וזה־דבר הראותו אליהם׃
Yochanan 21:2 שמעון פטרוס ותומא הנקרא דידומוס ונתנאל מקנה אשר בארץ הגליל ובני זבדי ועוד שנים אחרים מתלמידיו ישבו יחדו׃
Yochanan 21:3 ויאמר אליהם שמעון פטרוס הנני הלך לדוג ויאמרו אליו גם־אנחנו נלך עמך ויצאו וירדו באניה ולא לכדו מאומה בלילה ההוא׃
Yochanan 21:4 הבקר אור וישוע עמד על־שפת הים והתלמידים לא ידעו כי ישוע הוא׃
Yochanan 21:5 ויאמר אליהם ישוע בני היש־לכם דבר לאכל ויאמרו לא׃
Yochanan 21:6 ויאמר להם השליכו המכמרת מימין לאניה ותמצאו וישליכו ולא־יכלו עוד למשך אתה מרב הדגים׃
Yochanan 21:7 ויאמר התלמיד ההוא אשר ישוע אהבו אל־פטרוס הנה־האדון ויהי כשמע שמעון פטרוס כי הוא האדון ויחגר את־מעילו כי עירום היה ויתנפל אל־הים׃
Yochanan 21:8 והתלמידים הנשארים באו בספינה כי לא הרחיקו מן־היבשה כי אם־כמאתים אמה וימשכו את־המכמרת עם־הדגים׃
Yochanan 21:9 ויהי בעלותם אל־היבשה ויראו והנה גחלי־אש ערוכים ודגים עליהם ולחם לאכל׃
Yochanan 21:10 ויאמר אליהם ישוע הביאו מן־הדגים אשר לכדתם עתה׃
Yochanan 21:11 ויעל שמעון פטרוס וימשך את־המכמרת אל־היבשה והיא מלאה דגים גדולים מאה וחמשים ושלשה ולא נקרעה המכמרת אף־כי רבים היו׃
Yochanan 21:12 ויאמר אליהם ישוע באו ברו־לחם ואין איש מן־התלמידים אשר מלאו לבו לשאל מי אתה כי ידעו אשר הוא האדון׃
Yochanan 21:13 ויבא ישוע ויקח את־הלחם ויתן להם ואת־הדגים׃
Yochanan 21:14 וזאת הפעם השלישית אשר־נראה ישוע אל־תלמידיו אחרי קומו מעם המתים׃
Yochanan 21:15 ויהי אחרי אכלם ויאמר ישוע אל־שמעון פטרוס שמעון בן־יונה התאהב אתי יותר מאלה ויאמר אליו כן אדני אתה ידעת כי אהבתיך ויאמר אליו רעה את־טלאי׃
Yochanan 21:16 ויאמר אליו עוד הפעם שמעון בן־יונה התאהב אתי ויאמר אליו כן אדני אתה ידעת כי אהבתיך ויאמר אליו נהג את־צאני׃
Yochanan 21:17 ויאמר אליו פעם שלישית שמעון בן־יונה התאהב אתי ויתעצב פטרוס כי־אמר אליו בשלישית התאהב אתי ויאמר אליו אדני את־כל אתה יודע וידעת כי אהבתיך ויאמר אליו ישוע רעה את־צאני׃
Yochanan 21:18 אמן אמן אני אמר לך בהיתך צעיר לימים אתה חגרת עצמך ותלך אל־אשר חפצת וכאשר תזקן ופרשת כפיך ואחר יחגרך ונשאך אל־אשר לא תחפץ׃
Yochanan 21:19 וכל־זאת דבר לרמז על־מיתתו אשר יכבד־בה את־האלהים ויהי ככלותו לדבר ויאמר אליו לך אחרי׃
Yochanan 21:20 ויפן פטרוס וירא את־התלמיד אשר ישוע אהבו הלך אחריהם והוא אשר נפל על־לבו בסעודה וגם־אמר אדני מי הוא־זה אשר ימסר׃
Yochanan 21:21 ויהי בראות אתו פטרוס ויאמר אל־ישוע אדני וזה מה־לו׃
Yochanan 21:22 ויאמר אליו ישוע אם־רצוני שישאר עד־באי מה־לך ולזאת אתה לך אחרי׃
Yochanan 21:23 על־כן יצא הדבר הזה בין האחים שהתלמיד ההוא לא ימות וישוע לא אמר־לו כי לא־ימות אבל אמר אם־חפצי כי־ישאר עד־באי מה־זה לך׃
Yochanan 21:24 זה הוא התלמיד המעיד על־אלה ואשר כתב כל־זאת וידענו כי עדותו אמת׃
Yochanan 21:25 ויש עוד מעשים רבים אחרים אשר עשה ישוע ואם־יכתבו כלם לאחד אחד אדמה שגם־העולם כלו לא יכיל את־הספרים אשר יכתבו (אמן)׃

Yochanan 18-21
Yochanan 18:1 After Yahshua had said all this, he went out with his talmidim across the stream that flows in winter through the Vadi Kidron, to a spot where there was a grove of trees; and he and his talmidim went into it.
Yochanan 18:2 Now Y'hudah, who was betraying him, also knew the place; because Yahshua had often met there with his talmidim.
Yochanan 18:3 So Y'hudah went there, taking with him a detachment of Roman soldiers and some Temple guards provided by the head kohanim and the P'rushim; they carried weapons, lanterns and torches.
Yochanan 18:4 Yahshua, who knew everything that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, "Whom do you want?"
Yochanan 18:5 "Yahshua from Natzeret," they answered. He said to them, "I AM." Also standing with them was Y'hudah, the one who was betraying him.
Yochanan 18:6 When he said, "I AM," they went backward from him and fell to the ground.
Yochanan 18:7 So he inquired of them once more, "Whom do you want?" and they said, "Yahshua from Natzeret."
Yochanan 18:8 "I told you, 'I AM,' " answered Yahshua, "so if I'm the one you want, let these others go."
Yochanan 18:9 This happened so that what he had said might be fulfilled, "I have not lost one of those you gave me."
Yochanan 18:10 Then Shim`on Kefa, who had a sword, drew it and struck the slave of the kohen hagadol, cutting off his right ear; the slave's name was Melekh.
Yochanan 18:11 Yahshua said to Kefa, "Put your sword back in its scabbard! This is the cup the Father has given me; am I not to drink it?"
Yochanan 18:12 So the detachment of Roman soldiers and their captain, together with the Temple Guard of the Judeans, arrested Yahshua, tied him up,
Yochanan 18:13 and took him first to `Anan, the father-in-law of Kayafa, who was kohen gadol that fateful year.
Yochanan 18:14 (It was Kayafa who had advised the Judeans that it would be good for one man to die on behalf of the people.)
Yochanan 18:15 Shim`on Kefa and another talmid followed Yahshua. The second talmid was known to the kohen hagadol, and he went with Yahshua into the courtyard of the kohen hagadol;
Yochanan 18:16 but Kefa stood outside by the gate. So the other talmid, the one known to the kohen hagadol, went back out and spoke to the woman on duty at the gate, then brought Kefa inside.
Yochanan 18:17 The woman at the gate said to Kefa, "Aren't you another of that man's talmidim?" He said, "No, I'm not."
Yochanan 18:18 Now the slaves and guards had lit a fire because it was cold, and they were standing around it warming themselves; Kefa joined them and stood warming himself too.
Yochanan 18:19 The kohen hagadol questioned Yahshua about his talmidim and about what he taught.
Yochanan 18:20 Yahshua answered, "I have spoken quite openly to everyone; I have always taught in a synagogue or in the Temple where all Y’hudim meet together, and I have said nothing in secret;
Yochanan 18:21 so why are you questioning me? Question the ones who heard what I said to them; look, they know what I said."
Yochanan 18:22 At these words, one of the guards standing by slapped Yahshua in the face and said, "This is how you talk to the kohen hagadol?"
Yochanan 18:23 Yahshua answered him, "If I said something wrong, state publicly what was wrong; but if I was right, why are you hitting me?"
Yochanan 18:24 So `Anan sent him, still tied up, to Kayafa the kohen hagadol.
Yochanan 18:25 Meanwhile, Shim`on Kefa was standing and warming himself. They said to him, "Aren't you also one of his talmidim?" He denied it, saying, "No, I am not."
Yochanan 18:26 One of the slaves of the kohen hagadol, a relative of the man whose ear Kefa had cut off, said, "Didn't I see you with him in the grove of trees?"
Yochanan 18:27 So again Kefa denied it, and instantly a rooster crowed.
Yochanan 18:28 They led Yahshua from Kayafa to the governor's headquarters. By now it was early morning. They did not enter the headquarters building because they didn't want to become ritually defiled and thus unable to eat the Pesach meal.
Yochanan 18:29 So Pilate went outside to them and said, "What charge are you bringing against this man?"
Yochanan 18:30 They answered, "If he hadn't done something wrong, we wouldn't have brought him to you."
Yochanan 18:31 Pilate said to them, "You take him and judge him according to your own law." The Judeans replied, "We don't have the legal power to put anyone to death."
Yochanan 18:32 This was so that what Yahshua had said, about how he was going to die, might be fulfilled.
Yochanan 18:33 So Pilate went back into the headquarters, called Yahshua and said to him, "Are you the king of the Y’hudim?"
Yochanan 18:34 Yahshua answered, "Are you asking this on your own, or have other people told you about me?"
Yochanan 18:35 Pilate replied, "Am I a Y’hudi? Your own nation and head kohanim have handed you over to me; what have you done?"
Yochanan 18:36 Yahshua answered, "My kingship does not derive its authority from this world's order of things. If it did, my men would have fought to keep me from being arrested by the Judeans. But my kingship does not come from here."
Yochanan 18:37 "So then," Pilate said to him, "You are a king, after all." Yahshua answered, "You say I am a king. The reason I have been born, the reason I have come into the world, is to bear witness to the truth. Every one who belongs to the truth listens to me."
Yochanan 18:38 Pilate asked him, "What is truth?" Having said this, Pilate went outside again to the Judeans and told them, "I don't find any case against him.
Yochanan 18:39 However, you have a custom that at Pesach I set one prisoner free. Do you want me to set free for you the 'king of the Yehudim'?"
Yochanan 18:40 But they yelled back, "No, not this man but Bar-Abba!" (Bar-Abba was a revolutionary.)
Yochanan 19:1 Pilate then took Yahshua and had him flogged.
Yochanan 19:2 The soldiers twisted thorn-branches into a crown and placed it on his head, put a purple robe on him,
Yochanan 19:3 and went up to him, saying over and over, "Hail, 'king of the Y’hudim'!" and hitting him in the face.
Yochanan 19:4 Pilate went outside once more and said to the crowd, "Look, I'm bringing him out to you to get you to understand that I find no case against him."
Yochanan 19:5 So Yahshua came out, wearing the thorn-branch crown and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, "Look at the man!"
Yochanan 19:6 When the head kohanim and the Temple guards saw him they shouted, "Put him to death on the stake! Put him to death on the stake!" Pilate said to them, "You take him out yourselves and put him to death on the stake, because I don't find any case against him."
Yochanan 19:7 The Judeans answered him, "We have a law; according to that law, he ought to be put to death, because he made himself out to be the Son of Elohim."
Yochanan 19:8 On hearing this, Pilate became even more frightened.
Yochanan 19:9 He went back into the headquarters and asked Yahshua, "Where are you from?" But Yahshua didn't answer.
Yochanan 19:10 So Pilate said to him, "You refuse to speak to me? Don't you understand that it is in my power either to set you free or to have you executed on the stake?"
Yochanan 19:11 Yahshua answered, "You would have no power over me if it hadn't been given to you from above; this is why the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."
Yochanan 19:12 On hearing this, Pilate tried to find a way to set him free; but the Judeans shouted, "If you set this man free, it means you're not a 'Friend of the Emperor'! Everyone who claims to be a king is opposing the Emperor!"
Yochanan 19:13 When Pilate heard what they were saying, he brought Yahshua outside and sat down on the judge's seat in the place called The Pavement;
Yochanan 19:14 it was about noon on Preparation Day for Pesach. He said to the Judeans, "Here's your king!"
Yochanan 19:15 They shouted, "Take him away! Take him away! Put him to death on the stake!" Pilate said to them, "You want me to execute your king on a stake?" The head kohanim answered, "We have no king but the Emperor."
Yochanan 19:16 Then Pilate handed Yahshua over to them to have him put to death on the stake. So they took charge of Yahshua.
Yochanan 19:17 Carrying the stake himself he went out to the place called Skull (in Aramaic, Gulgolta).
Yochanan 19:18 There they nailed him to the stake along with two others, one on either side, with Yahshua in the middle.
Yochanan 19:19 Pilate also had a notice written and posted on the stake; it read, YAHSHUA FROM NATZERET THE KING OF THE Y’HUDIM
Yochanan 19:20 Many of the Judeans read this notice, because the place where Yahshua was put on the stake was close to the city; and it had been written in Hebrew, in Latin and in Greek.
Yochanan 19:21 The Judeans' head kohanim therefore said to Pilate, "Don't write, 'The King of the Y’hudim,' but 'He said, "I am King of the Y’hudim." ' "
Yochanan 19:22 Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."
Yochanan 19:23 When the soldiers had nailed Yahshua to the stake, they took his clothes and divided them into four shares, a share for each soldier, with the under-robe left over. Now the under-robe was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom;
Yochanan 19:24 so they said to one another, "We shouldn't tear it in pieces; let's draw for it." This happened in order to fulfill the words from the Tanakh, "They divided my clothes among themselves and gambled for my robe." This is why the soldiers did these things.
Yochanan 19:25 Nearby Yahshua's execution stake stood his mother, his mother's sister Miryam the wife of K'lofah, and Miryam from Magdala.
Yochanan 19:26 When Yahshua saw his mother and the talmid whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, "Mother, this is your son."
Yochanan 19:27 Then he said to the talmid, "This is your mother." And from that time on, the talmid took her into his own home.
Yochanan 19:28 After this, knowing that all things had accomplished their purpose, Yahshua, in order to fulfill the words of the Tanakh, said, "I'm thirsty."
Yochanan 19:29 A jar full of cheap sour wine was there; so they soaked a sponge in the wine, coated it with oregano leaves and held it up to his mouth.
Yochanan 19:30 After Yahshua had taken the wine, he said, "It is accomplished!" And, letting his head droop, he delivered up his spirit.
Yochanan 19:31 It was Preparation Day, and the Judeans did not want the bodies to remain on the stake on Shabbat, since it was an especially important Shabbat. So they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies removed.
Yochanan 19:32 The soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man who had been put on a stake beside Yahshua, then the legs of the other one;
Yochanan 19:33 but when they got to Yahshua and saw that he was already dead, they didn't break his legs.
Yochanan 19:34 However, one of the soldiers stabbed his side with a spear, and at once blood and water flowed out.
Yochanan 19:35 The man who saw it has testified about it, and his testimony is true. And he knows that he tells the truth, so you too can trust.
Yochanan 19:36 For these things happened in order to fulfill this passage of the Tanakh: "Not one of his bones will be broken."
Yochanan 19:37 And again, another passage says, "They will look at him whom they have pierced."
Yochanan 19:38 After this, Yosef of Ramatayim, who was a talmid of Yahshua, but a secret one out of fear of the Judeans, asked Pilate if he could have Yahshua's body. Pilate gave his consent, so Yosef came and took the body away.
Yochanan 19:39 Also Nakdimon, who at first had gone to see Yahshua by night, came with some seventy pounds of spices — a mixture of myrrh and aloes.
Yochanan 19:40 They took Yahshua's body and wrapped it up in linen sheets with the spices, in keeping with Judean burial practice.
Yochanan 19:41 In the vicinity of where he had been executed was a garden, and in the garden was a new tomb in which no one had ever been buried.
Yochanan 19:42 So, because it was Preparation Day for the Judeans, and because the tomb was close by, that is where they buried Yahshua.
Yochanan 20:1 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Miryam from Magdala went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb.
Yochanan 20:2 So she came running to Shim`on Kefa and the other talmid, the one Yahshua loved, and said to them, "They've taken the Master out of the tomb, and we don't know where they've put him!"
Yochanan 20:3 Then Kefa and the other talmid started for the tomb.
Yochanan 20:4 They both ran, but the other talmid outran Kefa and reached the tomb first.
Yochanan 20:5 Stooping down, he saw the linen burial-sheets lying there but did not go in.
Yochanan 20:6 Then, following him, Shim`on Kefa arrived, entered the tomb and saw the burial-sheets lying there,
Yochanan 20:7 also the cloth that had been around his head, lying not with the sheets but in a separate place and still folded up.
Yochanan 20:8 Then the other talmid, who had arrived at the tomb first, also went in; he saw, and he trusted.
Yochanan 20:9 (They had not yet come to understand that the Tanakh teaches that the Messiah has to rise from the dead.)
Yochanan 20:10 So the talmidim returned home,
Yochanan 20:11 but Miryam stood outside crying. As she cried, she bent down, peered into the tomb,
Yochanan 20:12 and saw two malachei in white sitting where the body of Yahshua had been, one at the head and one at the feet.
Yochanan 20:13 "Why are you crying?" they asked her. "They took my Master," she said to them, "and I don't know where they have put him."
Yochanan 20:14 As she said this, she turned around and saw Yahshua standing there, but she didn't know it was he.
Yochanan 20:15 Yahshua said to her, "Lady, why are you crying? Whom are you looking for?" Thinking he was the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you're the one who carried him away, just tell me where you put him; and I'll go and get him myself."
Yochanan 20:16 Yahshua said to her, "Miryam!" Turning, she cried out to him in Hebrew, "Rabbani!" (that is, "Teacher!")
Yochanan 20:17 "Stop holding onto me," Yahshua said to her, "because I haven't yet gone back to the Father. But go to my brothers, and tell them that I am going back to my Father and your Father, to my El and your El."
Yochanan 20:18 Miryam of Magdala went to the talmidim with the news that she had seen the master and that he had told her this.
Yochanan 20:19 In the evening that same day, the first day of the week, when the talmidim were gathered together behind locked doors out of fear of the Judeans, Yahshua came, stood in the middle and said, "Shalom aleikhem!"
Yochanan 20:20 Having greeted them, he showed them his hands and his side. The talmidim were overjoyed to see the master.
Yochanan 20:21 "Shalom aleikhem!" Yahshua repeated. "Just as the Father sent me, I myself am also sending you."
Yochanan 20:22 Having said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Ruach HaKodesh!
Yochanan 20:23 If you forgive someone's sins, their sins are forgiven; if you hold them, they are held."
Yochanan 20:24 Now T'oma (the name means "twin"), one of the Twelve, was not with them when Yahshua came.
Yochanan 20:25 When the other talmidim told him, "We have seen the Master," he replied, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands, put my finger into the place where the nails were and put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe it."
Yochanan 20:26 A week later his talmidim were once more in the room, and this time T'oma was with them. Although the doors were locked, Yahshua came, stood among them and said, "Shalom aleikhem!"
Yochanan 20:27 Then he said to T'oma, "Put your finger here, look at my hands, take your hand and put it into my side. Don't be lacking in trust, but have trust!"
Yochanan 20:28 T'oma answered him, "My Master and my Elohim!"
Yochanan 20:29 Yahshua said to him, "Have you trusted because you have seen me? How blessed are those who do not see, but trust anyway!"
Yochanan 20:30 In the presence of the talmidim Yahshua performed many other miracles which have not been recorded in this book.
Yochanan 20:31 But these which have been recorded are here so that you may trust that Yahshua is the Mashiach, the Son of Elohim, and that by this trust you may have life because of who he is.
Yochanan 21:1 After this, Yahshua appeared again to the talmidim at Lake Tiberias. Here is how it happened:
Yochanan 21:2 Shim`on Kefa and T'oma (his name means "twin") were together with Natan'el from Kanah in the Galil, the sons of Zavdai, and two other talmidim.
Yochanan 21:3 Shim`on Kefa said, "I'm going fishing." They said to him, "We're coming with you." They went and got into the boat, but that night they didn't catch anything.
Yochanan 21:4 However, just as day was breaking, Yahshua stood on shore, but the talmidim didn't know it was he.
Yochanan 21:5 He said to them, "You don't have any fish, do you?" "No," they answered him.
Yochanan 21:6 He said to them, "Throw in your net to starboard and you will catch some." So they threw in their net, and there were so many fish in it that they couldn't haul it aboard.
Yochanan 21:7 The talmid Yahshua loved said to Kefa, "It's the Master!" On hearing it was the Master, Shim`on Kefa threw on his coat, because he was stripped for work, and plunged into the lake;
Yochanan 21:8 but the other talmidim followed in the boat, dragging the net full of fish; for they weren't far from shore, only about a hundred yards.
Yochanan 21:9 When they stepped ashore, they saw a fire of burning coals with a fish on it, and some bread.
Yochanan 21:10 Yahshua said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught."
Yochanan 21:11 Shim`on Kefa went up and dragged the net ashore. It was full of fish, 153 of them; but even with so many, the net wasn't torn.
Yochanan 21:12 Yahshua said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the talmidim dared to ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Master.
Yochanan 21:13 Yahshua came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.
Yochanan 21:14 This was now the third time Yahshua had appeared to the talmidim after being raised from the dead.
Yochanan 21:15 After breakfast, Yahshua said to Shim`on Kefa, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me more than these?" He replied, "Yes, Master, you know I'm your friend." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
Yochanan 21:16 A second time he said to him, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me?" He replied, "Yes, Master, you know I'm your friend." He said to him, "Shepherd my sheep."
Yochanan 21:17 The third time he said to him, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, are you my friend?" Shim`on was hurt that he questioned him a third time: "Are you my friend?" So he replied, "Master, you know everything! You know I'm your friend!" Yahshua said to him, "Feed my sheep!
Yochanan 21:18 Yes, indeed! I tell you, when you were younger, you put on your clothes and went where you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go."
Yochanan 21:19 He said this to indicate the kind of death by which Kefa would bring esteem to Elohim. Then Yahshua said to him, "Follow me!"
Yochanan 21:20 Kefa turned and saw the talmid Yahshua especially loved following behind, the one who had leaned against him at the supper and had asked, "Who is the one who is betraying you?"
Yochanan 21:21 On seeing him, Kefa said to Yahshua, "Master, what about him?"
Yochanan 21:22 Yahshua said to him, "If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you? You, follow me!"
Yochanan 21:23 Therefore the word spread among the brothers that that talmid would not die. However, Yahshua didn't say he wouldn't die, but simply, "If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you?"
Yochanan 21:24 This one is the talmid who is testifying about these things and who has recorded them. And we know that his testimony is true.
Yochanan 21:25 But there are also many other things Yahshua did; and if they were all to be recorded, I don't think the whole world could contain the books that would have to be written!

Yochanan 19:13 When Pilate heard what they were saying, he brought Yahshua outside and sat down on the judge's seat in the place called The Pavement;
Yochanan 19:14 it was about noon on Preparation Day for Pesach. He said to the Judeans, "Here's your king!"
Yochanan 19:15 They shouted, "Take him away! Take him away! Put him to death on the stake!" Pilate said to them, "You want me to execute your king on a stake?" The head kohanim answered, "We have no king but the Emperor."
Yochanan 19:16 Then Pilate handed Yahshua over to them to have him put to death on the stake. So they took charge of Yahshua.
Yochanan 19:17 Carrying the stake himself he went out to the place called Skull (in Aramaic, Gulgolta).
Yochanan 19:18 There they nailed him to the stake along with two others, one on either side, with Yahshua in the middle.
Yochanan 19:19 Pilate also had a notice written and posted on the stake; it read, YAHSHUA FROM NATZERET THE KING OF THE Y’HUDIM
Yochanan 19:20 Many of the Judeans read this notice, because the place where Yahshua was put on the stake was close to the city; and it had been written in Hebrew, in Latin and in Greek.
Yochanan 19:21 The Judeans' head kohanim therefore said to Pilate, "Don't write, 'The King of the Y’hudim,' but 'He said, "I am King of the Y’hudim." ' "
Yochanan 19:22 Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."
Yochanan 19:23 When the soldiers had nailed Yahshua to the stake, they took his clothes and divided them into four shares, a share for each soldier, with the under-robe left over. Now the under-robe was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom;
Yochanan 19:24 so they said to one another, "We shouldn't tear it in pieces; let's draw for it." This happened in order to fulfill the words from the Tanakh, "They divided my clothes among themselves and gambled for my robe." This is why the soldiers did these things.
Yochanan 19:25 Nearby Yahshua's execution stake stood his mother, his mother's sister Miryam the wife of K'lofah, and Miryam from Magdala.
Yochanan 19:26 When Yahshua saw his mother and the talmid whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, "Mother, this is your son."
Yochanan 19:27 Then he said to the talmid, "This is your mother." And from that time on, the talmid took her into his own home.
Yochanan 19:28 After this, knowing that all things had accomplished their purpose, Yahshua, in order to fulfill the words of the Tanakh, said, "I'm thirsty."
Yochanan 19:29 A jar full of cheap sour wine was there; so they soaked a sponge in the wine, coated it with oregano leaves and held it up to his mouth.
Yochanan 19:30 After Yahshua had taken the wine, he said, "It is accomplished!" And, letting his head droop, he delivered up his spirit.
Yochanan 19:31 It was Preparation Day, and the Judeans did not want the bodies to remain on the stake on Shabbat, since it was an especially important Shabbat. So they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies removed.
Yochanan 19:32 The soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man who had been put on a stake beside Yahshua, then the legs of the other one;
Yochanan 19:33 but when they got to Yahshua and saw that he was already dead, they didn't break his legs.
Yochanan 19:34 However, one of the soldiers stabbed his side with a spear, and at once blood and water flowed out.
Yochanan 19:35 The man who saw it has testified about it, and his testimony is true. And he knows that he tells the truth, so you too can trust.
Yochanan 19:36 For these things happened in order to fulfill this passage of the Tanakh: "Not one of his bones will be broken."
Yochanan 19:37 And again, another passage says, "They will look at him whom they have pierced."
Yochanan 19:38 After this, Yosef of Ramatayim, who was a talmid of Yahshua, but a secret one out of fear of the Judeans, asked Pilate if he could have Yahshua's body. Pilate gave his consent, so Yosef came and took the body away.
Yochanan 19:39 Also Nakdimon, who at first had gone to see Yahshua by night, came with some seventy pounds of spices — a mixture of myrrh and aloes.
Yochanan 19:40 They took Yahshua's body and wrapped it up in linen sheets with the spices, in keeping with Judean burial practice.
Yochanan 19:41 In the vicinity of where he had been executed was a garden, and in the garden was a new tomb in which no one had ever been buried.
Yochanan 19:42 So, because it was Preparation Day for the Judeans, and because the tomb was close by, that is where they buried Yahshua.
Yochanan 20:1 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Miryam from Magdala went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb.
Yochanan 20:2 So she came running to Shim`on Kefa and the other talmid, the one Yahshua loved, and said to them, "They've taken the Master out of the tomb, and we don't know where they've put him!"
Yochanan 20:3 Then Kefa and the other talmid started for the tomb.
Yochanan 20:4 They both ran, but the other talmid outran Kefa and reached the tomb first.
Yochanan 20:5 Stooping down, he saw the linen burial-sheets lying there but did not go in.
Yochanan 20:6 Then, following him, Shim`on Kefa arrived, entered the tomb and saw the burial-sheets lying there,
Yochanan 20:7 also the cloth that had been around his head, lying not with the sheets but in a separate place and still folded up.
Yochanan 20:8 Then the other talmid, who had arrived at the tomb first, also went in; he saw, and he trusted.
Yochanan 20:9 (They had not yet come to understand that the Tanakh teaches that the Messiah has to rise from the dead.)
Yochanan 20:10 So the talmidim returned home,
Yochanan 20:11 but Miryam stood outside crying. As she cried, she bent down, peered into the tomb,
Yochanan 20:12 and saw two malachei in white sitting where the body of Yahshua had been, one at the head and one at the feet.
Yochanan 20:13 "Why are you crying?" they asked her. "They took my Master," she said to them, "and I don't know where they have put him."
Yochanan 20:14 As she said this, she turned around and saw Yahshua standing there, but she didn't know it was he.
Yochanan 20:15 Yahshua said to her, "Lady, why are you crying? Whom are you looking for?" Thinking he was the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you're the one who carried him away, just tell me where you put him; and I'll go and get him myself."
Yochanan 20:16 Yahshua said to her, "Miryam!" Turning, she cried out to him in Hebrew, "Rabbani!" (that is, "Teacher!")
Yochanan 20:17 "Stop holding onto me," Yahshua said to her, "because I haven't yet gone back to the Father. But go to my brothers, and tell them that I am going back to my Father and your Father, to my El and your El."
Yochanan 20:18 Miryam of Magdala went to the talmidim with the news that she had seen the master and that he had told her this.
Yochanan 20:19 In the evening that same day, the first day of the week, when the talmidim were gathered together behind locked doors out of fear of the Judeans, Yahshua came, stood in the middle and said, "Shalom aleikhem!"
Yochanan 20:20 Having greeted them, he showed them his hands and his side. The talmidim were overjoyed to see the master.
Yochanan 20:21 "Shalom aleikhem!" Yahshua repeated. "Just as the Father sent me, I myself am also sending you."
Yochanan 20:22 Having said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Ruach HaKodesh!
Yochanan 20:23 If you forgive someone's sins, their sins are forgiven; if you hold them, they are held."
Yochanan 20:24 Now T'oma (the name means "twin"), one of the Twelve, was not with them when Yahshua came.
Yochanan 20:25 When the other talmidim told him, "We have seen the Master," he replied, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands, put my finger into the place where the nails were and put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe it."
Yochanan 20:26 A week later his talmidim were once more in the room, and this time T'oma was with them. Although the doors were locked, Yahshua came, stood among them and said, "Shalom aleikhem!"
Yochanan 20:27 Then he said to T'oma, "Put your finger here, look at my hands, take your hand and put it into my side. Don't be lacking in trust, but have trust!"
Yochanan 20:28 T'oma answered him, "My Master and my Elohim!"
Yochanan 20:29 Yahshua said to him, "Have you trusted because you have seen me? How blessed are those who do not see, but trust anyway!"
Yochanan 20:30 In the presence of the talmidim Yahshua performed many other miracles which have not been recorded in this book.
Yochanan 20:31 But these which have been recorded are here so that you may trust that Yahshua is the Mashiach, the Son of Elohim, and that by this trust you may have life because of who he is.
Yochanan 21:1 After this, Yahshua appeared again to the talmidim at Lake Tiberias. Here is how it happened:
Yochanan 21:2 Shim`on Kefa and T'oma (his name means "twin") were together with Natan'el from Kanah in the Galil, the sons of Zavdai, and two other talmidim.
Yochanan 21:3 Shim`on Kefa said, "I'm going fishing." They said to him, "We're coming with you." They went and got into the boat, but that night they didn't catch anything.
Yochanan 21:4 However, just as day was breaking, Yahshua stood on shore, but the talmidim didn't know it was he.
Yochanan 21:5 He said to them, "You don't have any fish, do you?" "No," they answered him.
Yochanan 21:6 He said to them, "Throw in your net to starboard and you will catch some." So they threw in their net, and there were so many fish in it that they couldn't haul it aboard.
Yochanan 21:7 The talmid Yahshua loved said to Kefa, "It's the Master!" On hearing it was the Master, Shim`on Kefa threw on his coat, because he was stripped for work, and plunged into the lake;
Yochanan 21:8 but the other talmidim followed in the boat, dragging the net full of fish; for they weren't far from shore, only about a hundred yards.
Yochanan 21:9 When they stepped ashore, they saw a fire of burning coals with a fish on it, and some bread.
Yochanan 21:10 Yahshua said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught."
Yochanan 21:11 Shim`on Kefa went up and dragged the net ashore. It was full of fish, 153 of them; but even with so many, the net wasn't torn.
Yochanan 21:12 Yahshua said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the talmidim dared to ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Master.
Yochanan 21:13 Yahshua came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.
Yochanan 21:14 This was now the third time Yahshua had appeared to the talmidim after being raised from the dead.
Yochanan 21:15 After breakfast, Yahshua said to Shim`on Kefa, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me more than these?" He replied, "Yes, Master, you know I'm your friend." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
Yochanan 21:16 A second time he said to him, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me?" He replied, "Yes, Master, you know I'm your friend." He said to him, "Shepherd my sheep."
Yochanan 21:17 The third time he said to him, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, are you my friend?" Shim`on was hurt that he questioned him a third time: "Are you my friend?" So he replied, "Master, you know everything! You know I'm your friend!" Yahshua said to him, "Feed my sheep!
Yochanan 21:18 Yes, indeed! I tell you, when you were younger, you put on your clothes and went where you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go."
Yochanan 21:19 He said this to indicate the kind of death by which Kefa would bring esteem to Elohim. Then Yahshua said to him, "Follow me!"
Yochanan 21:20 Kefa turned and saw the talmid Yahshua especially loved following behind, the one who had leaned against him at the supper and had asked, "Who is the one who is betraying you?"
Yochanan 21:21 On seeing him, Kefa said to Yahshua, "Master, what about him?"
Yochanan 21:22 Yahshua said to him, "If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you? You, follow me!"
Yochanan 21:23 Therefore the word spread among the brothers that that talmid would not die. However, Yahshua didn't say he wouldn't die, but simply, "If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you?"
Yochanan 21:24 This one is the talmid who is testifying about these things and who has recorded them. And we know that his testimony is true.
Yochanan 21:25 But there are also many other things Yahshua did; and if they were all to be recorded, I don't think the whole world could contain the books that would have to be written!

YirmeYahu 2:4 Hear the word of YHVH, house of Ya`akov and all families in the house of Yisra’el;
YirmeYahu 2:5 here is what YHVH says: "What did your ancestors find wrong with me to make them go so far away from me, to make them go after nothings and become themselves nothings?
YirmeYahu 2:6 They didn't ask, 'Where is YHVH, who brought us out of the land of Mitsrayim, who led us through the desert, through a land of wastes and ravines, through a land of drought and death-dark shadows, through a land where no one travels and where no one ever lived?'
YirmeYahu 2:7 I brought you into a fertile land to enjoy its fruit and all its good things; but when you entered, you defiled my land and made my heritage loathsome.
YirmeYahu 2:8 The kohanim didn't ask, 'Where is YHVH?' Those who deal with the Torah did not know me, the people's shepherds rebelled against me; the prophets prophesied by Ba`al and went after things of no value.
YirmeYahu 2:9 "So again I state my case against you," says YHVH, "and state it against your grandchildren too.
YirmeYahu 2:10 Cross to the coasts of the Kitti'im and look; send to Kedar and observe closely; see if anything like this has happened before:
YirmeYahu 2:11 has a nation ever exchanged its gods (and theirs are not gods at all!)? Yet my people have exchanged their Esteem for something without value.
YirmeYahu 2:12 Be aghast at this, you heavens! Shudder in absolute horror!" says YHVH.
YirmeYahu 2:13 "For my people have committed two evils: they have abandoned me, the fountain of living water, and dug themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water!
YirmeYahu 2:14 "Is Yisra’el a slave, born into serfdom? If not, why has he become plunder?
YirmeYahu 2:15 The young lions are roaring at him — how loudly they are roaring! They desolate his country, demolishing and depopulating his cities.
YirmeYahu 2:16 The people of Nof and Tachpanches feed on the crown of your head.
YirmeYahu 2:17 "Haven't you brought this on yourself by abandoning YHVH your Elohim when he led you along the way?
YirmeYahu 2:18 If you go to Mitsrayim, what's in it for you? Drinking water from the Nile? If you go to Ashur, what's in it for you? Drinking water from the [Euphrates] River?
YirmeYahu 2:19 Your own wickedness will correct you, your own backslidings will convict you; you will know and see how bad and bitter it was to abandon YHVH your Elohim, and how fear of me is not in you," says YHVH Elohim-Tzva'ot.
YirmeYahu 2:20 "For long ago I broke your yoke; when I snapped your chains, you said, 'I won't sin.' Yet on every high hill, under every green tree, you sprawled and prostituted yourself.
YirmeYahu 2:21 But I planted you as a choice vine of seed fully tested and true. How did you degenerate into a wild vine for me?
YirmeYahu 2:22 Even if you scrub yourself with soda and plenty of soap, the stain of your guilt is still there before me," says YHVH Elohim.
YirmeYahu 2:23 "How can you say, 'I am not defiled, I have not pursued the ba`alim'? Look at your conduct in the valley, understand what you have done. You are a restive young female camel, running here and there,
YirmeYahu 2:24 wild, accustomed to the desert, sniffing the wind in her lust — who can control her when she's in heat? Males seeking her need not weary themselves, for at mating season they will find her.
YirmeYahu 2:25 "Stop before your shoes wear out, and your throat is dry from thirst! But you say, 'No, it's hopeless! I love these strangers, and I'm going after them.'
YirmeYahu 2:26 Just as a thief is ashamed when caught, so is the house of Yisra’el ashamed — they, their kings, their leaders, their kohanim and their prophets,
YirmeYahu 2:27 who say to a log, 'You are my father,' and to a stone, 'You gave us birth.' For they have turned their backs to me instead of their faces. But when trouble comes, they will plead, 'Rouse yourself and save us!'
YirmeYahu 2:28 Where are your gods that you made for yourselves? Let them rouse themselves, if they can save you when trouble comes. Y'hudah, you have as many gods as you have cities!
YirmeYahu 3:4 Didn't you just now cry to me, 'My father, you are my friend from my youth'? —
YirmeYahu 2:4 Hear the word of YHVH, house of Ya`akov and all families in the house of Yisra’el;
YirmeYahu 2:5 here is what YHVH says: "What did your ancestors find wrong with me to make them go so far away from me, to make them go after nothings and become themselves nothings?
YirmeYahu 2:6 They didn't ask, 'Where is YHVH, who brought us out of the land of Mitsrayim, who led us through the desert, through a land of wastes and ravines, through a land of drought and death-dark shadows, through a land where no one travels and where no one ever lived?'

YirmeYahu 2:17 "Haven't you brought this on yourself by abandoning YHVH your Elohim when he led you along the way?
YirmeYahu 2:18 If you go to Mitsrayim, what's in it for you? Drinking water from the Nile? If you go to Ashur, what's in it for you? Drinking water from the [Euphrates] River?
YirmeYahu 2:19 Your own wickedness will correct you, your own backslidings will convict you; you will know and see how bad and bitter it was to abandon YHVH your Elohim, and how fear of me is not in you," says YHVH Elohim-Tzva'ot.

Num 30:3 (30:4) ואשׁה כי־תדר נדר ליהוה ואסרה אסר בבית אביה בנעריה׃

Num 31:2 נקם נקמת בני ישׂראל מאת המדינים אחר תאסף אל־עמיך׃
Num 31:3 וידבר משׁה אל־העם לאמר החלצו מאתכם אנשׁים לצבא ויהיו על־מדין לתת נקמת־יהוה במדין׃
Num 31:4 אלף למטה אלף למטה לכל מטות ישׂראל תשׁלחו לצבא׃
Num 31:5 וימסרו מאלפי ישׂראל אלף למטה שׁנים־עשׂר אלף חלוצי צבא׃
Num 31:6 וישׁלח אתם משׁה אלף למטה לצבא אתם ואת־פינחס בן־אלעזר הכהן לצבא וכלי הקדשׁ וחצצרות התרועה בידו׃
Num 31:7 ויצבאו על־מדין כאשׁר צוה יהוה את־משׁה ויהרגו כל־זכר׃
Num 31:8 ואת־מלכי מדין הרגו על־חלליהם את־אוי ואת־רקם ואת־צור ואת־חור ואת־רבע חמשׁת מלכי מדין ואת בלעם בן־בעור הרגו בחרב׃
Num 31:9 וישׁבו בני־ישׂראל את־נשׁי מדין ואת־טפם ואת כל־בהמתם ואת־כל־מקנהם ואת־כל־חילם בזזו׃
Num 31:10 ואת כל־עריהם במושׁבתם ואת כל־טירתם שׂרפו באשׁ׃
Num 31:11 ויקחו את־כל־השׁלל ואת כל־המלקוח באדם ובבהמה׃
Num 31:12 ויבאו אל־משׁה ואל־אלעזר הכהן ואל־עדת בני־ישׂראל את־השׁבי ואת־המלקוח ואת־השׁלל אל־המחנה אל־ערבת מואב אשׁר על־ירדן ירחו׃
Num 31:13 ויצאו משׁה ואלעזר הכהן וכל־נשׂיאי העדה לקראתם אל־מחוץ למחנה׃
Num 31:14 ויקצף משׁה על פקודי החיל שׂרי האלפים ושׂרי המאות הבאים מצבא המלחמה׃
Num 31:15 ויאמר אליהם משׁה החייתם כל־נקבה׃
Num 31:16 הן הנה היו לבני ישׂראל בדבר בלעם למסר־מעל ביהוה על־דבר־פעור ותהי המגפה בעדת יהוה׃
Num 31:17 ועתה הרגו כל־זכר בטף וכל־אשׁה ידעת אישׁ למשׁכב זכר הרגו׃
Num 31:18 וכל הטף בנשׁים אשׁר לא־ידעו משׁכב זכר החיו לכם׃
Num 31:19 ואתם חנו מחוץ למחנה שׁבעת ימים כל הרג נפשׁ וכל נגע בחלל תתחטאו ביום השׁלישׁי וביום השׁביעי אתם ושׁביכם׃
Num 31:20 וכל־בגד וכל־כלי־עור וכל־מעשׂה עזים וכל־כלי־עץ תתחטאו׃
Num 31:21 ויאמר אלעזר הכהן אל־אנשׁי הצבא הבאים למלחמה זאת חקת התורה אשׁר־צוה יהוה את־משׁה׃
Num 31:22 אך את־הזהב ואת־הכסף את־הנחשׁת את־הברזל את־הבדיל ואת־העפרת׃
Num 31:23 כל־דבר אשׁר־יבא באשׁ תעבירו באשׁ וטהר אך במי נדה יתחטא וכל אשׁר לא־יבא באשׁ תעבירו במים׃
Num 31:24 וכבסתם בגדיכם ביום השׁביעי וטהרתם ואחר תבאו אל־המחנה׃
Num 31:25 ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה לאמר׃
Num 31:26 שׂא את ראשׁ מלקוח השׁבי באדם ובבהמה אתה ואלעזר הכהן וראשׁי אבות העדה׃
Num 31:27 וחצית את־המלקוח בין תפשׂי המלחמה היצאים לצבא ובין כל־העדה׃
Num 31:28 והרמת מכס ליהוה מאת אנשׁי המלחמה היצאים לצבא אחד נפשׁ מחמשׁ המאות מן־האדם ומן־הבקר ומן־החמרים ומן־הצאן׃
Num 31:29 ממחציתם תקחו ונתתה לאלעזר הכהן תרומת יהוה׃
Num 31:30 וממחצת בני־ישׂראל תקח אחד אחז מן־החמשׁים מן־האדם מן־הבקר מן־החמרים ומן־הצאן מכל־הבהמה ונתתה אתם ללוים שׁמרי משׁמרת משׁכן יהוה׃
Num 31:31 ויעשׂ משׁה ואלעזר הכהן כאשׁר צוה יהוה את־משׁה׃
Num 31:32 ויהי המלקוח יתר הבז אשׁר בזזו עם הצבא צאן שׁשׁ־מאות אלף ושׁבעים אלף וחמשׁת־אלפים׃
Num 31:33 ובקר שׁנים ושׁבעים אלף׃

Num 31:48 ויקרבו אל־משׁה הפקדים אשׁר לאלפי הצבא שׂרי האלפים ושׂרי המאות׃
Num 31:49 ויאמרו אל־משׁה עבדיך נשׂאו את־ראשׁ אנשׁי המלחמה אשׁר בידנו ולא־נפקד ממנו אישׁ׃
Num 31:50 ונקרב את־קרבן יהוה אישׁ אשׁר מצא כלי־זהב אצעדה וצמיד טבעת עגיל וכומז לכפר על־נפשׁתינו לפני יהוה׃
Num 31:51 ויקח משׁה ואלעזר הכהן את־הזהב מאתם כל כלי מעשׂה׃
Num 31:52 ויהי כל־זהב התרומה אשׁר הרימו ליהוה שׁשׁה עשׂר אלף שׁבע־מאות וחמשׁים שׁקל מאת שׂרי האלפים ומאת שׂרי המאות׃
Num 31:53 אנשׁי הצבא בזזו אישׁ לו׃
Num 31:54 ויקח משׁה ואלעזר הכהן את־הזהב מאת שׂרי האלפים והמאות ויבאו אתו אל־אהל מועד זכרון לבני־ישׂראל לפני יהוה׃
Num 32:1 ומקנה רב היה לבני ראובן ולבני־גד עצום מאד ויראו את־ארץ יעזר ואת־ארץ גלעד והנה המקום מקום מקנה׃
Num 32:2 ויבאו בני־גד ובני ראובן ויאמרו אל־משׁה ואל־אלעזר הכהן ואל־נשׂיאי העדה לאמר׃
Num 32:3 עטרות ודיבן ויעזר ונמרה וחשׁבון ואלעלה ושׂבם ונבו ובען׃
Num 32:4 הארץ אשׁר הכה יהוה לפני עדת ישׂראל ארץ מקנה הוא ולעבדיך מקנה׃
Num 32:5 ויאמרו אם־מצאנו חן בעיניך יתן את־הארץ הזאת לעבדיך לאחזה אל־תעברנו את־הירדן׃
Num 32:6 ויאמר משׁה לבני־גד ולבני ראובן האחיכם יבאו למלחמה ואתם תשׁבו פה׃
Num 32:7 ולמה תנואון את־לב בני ישׂראל מעבר אל־הארץ אשׁר־נתן להם יהוה׃
Num 32:8 כה עשׂו אבתיכם בשׁלחי אתם מקדשׁ ברנע לראות את־הארץ׃
Num 32:9 ויעלו עד־נחל אשׁכול ויראו את־הארץ ויניאו את־לב בני ישׂראל לבלתי־בא אל־הארץ אשׁר־נתן להם יהוה׃
Num 32:10 ויחר־אף יהוה ביום ההוא וישׁבע לאמר׃
Num 32:11 אם־יראו האנשׁים העלים ממצרים מבן עשׂרים שׁנה ומעלה את האדמה אשׁר נשׁבעתי לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב כי לא־מלאו אחרי׃
Num 32:12 בלתי כלב בן־יפנה הקנזי ויהושׁע בן־נון כי מלאו אחרי יהוה׃
Num 32:13 ויחר־אף יהוה בישׂראל וינעם במדבר ארבעים שׁנה עד־תם כל־הדור העשׂה הרע בעיני יהוה׃
Num 32:14 והנה קמתם תחת אבתיכם תרבות אנשׁים חטאים לספות עוד על חרון אף־יהוה אל־ישׂראל׃
Num 32:15 כי תשׁובן מאחריו ויסף עוד להניחו במדבר ושׁחתם לכל־העם הזה׃
Num 32:16 ויגשׁו אליו ויאמרו גדרת צאן נבנה למקננו פה וערים לטפנו׃
Num 32:17 ואנחנו נחלץ חשׁים לפני בני ישׂראל עד אשׁר אם־הביאנם אל־מקומם וישׁב טפנו בערי המבצר מפני ישׁבי הארץ׃
Num 32:18 לא נשׁוב אל־בתינו עד התנחל בני ישׂראל אישׁ נחלתו׃
Num 32:19 כי לא ננחל אתם מעבר לירדן והלאה כי באה נחלתנו אלינו מעבר הירדן מזרחה׃
Num 32:20 ויאמר אליהם משׁה אם־תעשׂון את־הדבר הזה אם־תחלצו לפני יהוה למלחמה׃
Num 32:21 ועבר לכם כל־חלוץ את־הירדן לפני יהוה עד הורישׁו את־איביו מפניו׃
Num 32:22 ונכבשׁה הארץ לפני יהוה ואחר תשׁבו והייתם נקים מיהוה ומישׂראל והיתה הארץ הזאת לכם לאחזה לפני יהוה׃
Num 32:23 ואם־לא תעשׂון כן הנה חטאתם ליהוה ודעו חטאתכם אשׁר תמצא אתכם׃
Num 32:24 בנו־לכם ערים לטפכם וגדרת לצנאכם והיצא מפיכם תעשׂו׃
Num 32:25 ויאמר בני־גד ובני ראובן אל־משׁה לאמר עבדיך יעשׂו כאשׁר אדני מצוה׃
Num 32:26 טפנו נשׁינו מקננו וכל־בהמתנו יהיו־שׁם בערי הגלעד׃
Num 32:27 ועבדיך יעברו כל־חלוץ צבא לפני יהוה למלחמה כאשׁר אדני דבר׃
Num 32:28 ויצו להם משׁה את אלעזר הכהן ואת יהושׁע בן־נון ואת־ראשׁי אבות המטות לבני ישׂראל׃
Num 32:29 ויאמר משׁה אלהם אם־יעברו בני־גד ובני־ראובן אתכם את־הירדן כל־חלוץ למלחמה לפני יהוה ונכבשׁה הארץ לפניכם ונתתם להם את־ארץ הגלעד לאחזה׃
Num 32:30 ואם־לא יעברו חלוצים אתכם ונאחזו בתככם בארץ כנען׃
Num 32:31 ויענו בני־גד ובני ראובן לאמר את אשׁר דבר יהוה אל־עבדיך כן נעשׂה׃
Num 32:32 נחנו נעבר חלוצים לפני יהוה ארץ כנען ואתנו אחזת נחלתנו מעבר לירדן׃
Num 32:33 ויתן להם משׁה לבני־גד ולבני ראובן ולחצי שׁבט מנשׁה בן־יוסף את־ממלכת סיחן מלך האמרי ואת־ממלכת עוג מלך הבשׁן הארץ לעריה בגבלת ערי הארץ סביב׃
Num 32:34 ויבנו בני־גד את־דיבן ואת־עטרת ואת ערער׃
Num 32:35 ואת־עטרת שׁופן ואת־יעזר ויגבהה׃
Num 32:36 ואת־בית נמרה ואת־בית הרן ערי מבצר וגדרת צאן׃
Num 32:37 ובני ראובן בנו את־חשׁבון ואת־אלעלא ואת קריתים׃
Num 32:38 ואת־נבו ואת־בעל מעון מוסבת שׁם ואת־שׂבמה ויקראו בשׁמת את־שׁמות הערים אשׁר בנו׃
Num 32:39 וילכו בני מכיר בן־מנשׁה גלעדה וילכדה ויורשׁ את־האמרי אשׁר־בה׃
Num 32:40 ויתן משׁה את־הגלעד למכיר בן־מנשׁה וישׁב בה׃
Num 32:41 ויאיר בן־מנשׁה הלך וילכד את־חותיהם ויקרא אתהן חות יאיר׃
Num 32:42 ונבח הלך וילכד את־קנת ואת־בנתיה ויקרא לה נבח בשׁמו׃
Num 33:1 אלה מסעי בני־ישׂראל אשׁר יצאו מארץ מצרים לצבאתם ביד־משׁה ואהרן׃
Num 33:2 ויכתב משׁה את־מוצאיהם למסעיהם על־פי יהוה ואלה מסעיהם למוצאיהם׃
Num 33:3 ויסעו מרעמסס בחדשׁ הראשׁון בחמשׁה עשׂר יום לחדשׁ הראשׁון ממחרת הפסח יצאו בני־ישׂראל ביד רמה לעיני כל־מצרים׃
Num 33:4 ומצרים מקברים את אשׁר הכה יהוה בהם כל־בכור ובאלהיהם עשׂה יהוה שׁפטים׃
Num 33:5 ויסעו בני־ישׂראל מרעמסס ויחנו בסכת׃

Num 33:37 ויסעו מקדשׁ ויחנו בהר ההר בקצה ארץ אדום׃
Num 33:38 ויעל אהרן הכהן אל־הר ההר על־פי יהוה וימת שׁם בשׁנת הארבעים לצאת בני־ישׂראל מארץ מצרים בחדשׁ החמישׁי באחד לחדשׁ׃
Num 33:39 ואהרן בן־שׁלשׁ ועשׂרים ומאת שׁנה במתו בהר ההר׃
Num 33:40 וישׁמע הכנעני מלך ערד והוא־ישׁב בנגב בארץ כנען בבא בני ישׂראל׃
Num 33:41 ויסעו מהר ההר ויחנו בצלמנה׃
Num 33:42 ויסעו מצלמנה ויחנו בפונן׃
Num 33:43 ויסעו מפונן ויחנו באבת׃
Num 33:44 ויסעו מאבת ויחנו בעיי העברים בגבול מואב׃
Num 33:45 ויסעו מעיים ויחנו בדיבן גד׃
Num 33:46 ויסעו מדיבן גד ויחנו בעלמן דבלתימה׃
Num 33:47 ויסעו מעלמן דבלתימה ויחנו בהרי העברים לפני נבו׃
Num 33:48 ויסעו מהרי העברים ויחנו בערבת מואב על ירדן ירחו׃
Num 33:49 ויחנו על־הירדן מבית הישׁמת עד אבל השׁטים בערבת מואב׃
Num 33:50 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה בערבת מואב על־ירדן ירחו לאמר׃
Num 33:51 דבר אל־בני ישׂראל ואמרת אלהם כי אתם עברים את־הירדן אל־ארץ כנען׃
Num 33:52 והורשׁתם את־כל־ישׁבי הארץ מפניכם ואבדתם את כל־משׂכיתם ואת כל־צלמי מסכתם תאבדו ואת כל־במותם תשׁמידו׃
Num 33:53 והורשׁתם את־הארץ וישׁבתם־בה כי לכם נתתי את־הארץ לרשׁת אתה׃
Num 33:54 והתנחלתם את־הארץ בגורל למשׁפחתיכם לרב תרבו את־נחלתו ולמעט תמעיט את־נחלתו אל אשׁר־יצא לו שׁמה הגורל לו יהיה למטות אבתיכם תתנחלו׃
Num 33:55 ואם־לא תורישׁו את־ישׁבי הארץ מפניכם והיה אשׁר תותירו מהם לשׂכים בעיניכם ולצנינם בצדיכם וצררו אתכם על־הארץ אשׁר אתם ישׁבים בה׃
Num 33:56 והיה כאשׁר דמיתי לעשׂות להם אעשׂה לכם׃
Num 34:1 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה לאמר׃
Num 34:2 צו את־בני ישׂראל ואמרת אלהם כי־אתם באים אל־הארץ כנען זאת הארץ אשׁר תפל לכם בנחלה ארץ כנען לגבלתיה׃
Num 34:3 והיה לכם פאת־נגב ממדבר־צן על־ידי אדום והיה לכם גבול נגב מקצה ים־המלח קדמה׃
Num 34:4 ונסב לכם הגבול מנגב למעלה עקרבים ועבר צנה והיה תוצאתיו מנגב לקדשׁ ברנע ויצא חצר־אדר ועבר עצמנה׃
Num 34:5 ונסב הגבול מעצמון נחלה מצרים והיו תוצאתיו הימה׃
Num 34:6 וגבול ים והיה לכם הים הגדול וגבול זה־יהיה לכם גבול ים׃
Num 34:7 וזה־יהיה לכם גבול צפון מן־הים הגדל תתאו לכם הר ההר׃
Num 34:8 מהר ההר תתאו לבא חמת והיו תוצאת הגבל צדדה׃
Num 34:9 ויצא הגבל זפרנה והיו תוצאתיו חצר עינן זה־יהיה לכם גבול צפון׃
Num 34:10 והתאויתם לכם לגבול קדמה מחצר עינן שׁפמה׃
Num 34:11 וירד הגבל משׁפם הרבלה מקדם לעין וירד הגבל ומחה על־כתף ים־כנרת קדמה׃
Num 34:12 וירד הגבול הירדנה והיו תוצאתיו ים המלח זאת תהיה לכם הארץ לגבלתיה סביב׃
Num 34:13 ויצו משׁה את־בני ישׂראל לאמר זאת הארץ אשׁר תתנחלו אתה בגורל אשׁר צוה יהוה לתת לתשׁעת המטות וחצי המטה׃
Num 34:14 כי לקחו מטה בני הראובני לבית אבתם ומטה בני־הגדי לבית אבתם וחצי מטה מנשׁה לקחו נחלתם׃
Num 34:15 שׁני המטות וחצי המטה לקחו נחלתם מעבר לירדן ירחו קדמה מזרחה׃
Num 34:16 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה לאמר׃
Num 34:17 אלה שׁמות האנשׁים אשׁר־ינחלו לכם את־הארץ אלעזר הכהן ויהושׁע בן־נון׃
Num 34:18 ונשׂיא אחד נשׂיא אחד ממטה תקחו לנחל את־הארץ׃
Num 34:19 ואלה שׁמות האנשׁים למטה יהודה כלב בן־יפנה׃
Num 34:20 ולמטה בני שׁמעון שׁמואל בן־עמיהוד׃
Num 34:21 למטה בנימן אלידד בן־כסלון׃
Num 34:22 ולמטה בני־דן נשׂיא בקי בן־יגלי׃
Num 34:23 לבני יוסף למטה בני־מנשׁה נשׂיא חניאל בן־אפד׃
Num 34:24 ולמטה בני־אפרים נשׂיא קמואל בן־שׁפטן׃
Num 34:25 ולמטה בני־זבולן נשׂיא אליצפן בן־פרנך׃
Num 34:26 ולמטה בני־ישׂשכר נשׂיא פלטיאל בן־עזן׃
Num 34:27 ולמטה בני־אשׁר נשׂיא אחיהוד בן־שׁלמי׃
Num 34:28 ולמטה בני־נפתלי נשׂיא פדהאל בן־עמיהוד׃
Num 34:29 אלה אשׁר צוה יהוה לנחל את־בני־ישׂראל בארץ כנען׃
Num 35:1 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה בערבת מואב על־ירדן ירחו לאמר׃
Num 35:2 צו את־בני ישׂראל ונתנו ללוים מנחלת אחזתם ערים לשׁבת ומגרשׁ לערים סביבתיהם תתנו ללוים׃
Num 35:3 והיו הערים להם לשׁבת ומגרשׁיהם יהיו לבהמתם ולרכשׁם ולכל חיתם׃
Num 35:4 ומגרשׁי הערים אשׁר תתנו ללוים מקיר העיר וחוצה אלף אמה סביב׃
Num 35:5 ומדתם מחוץ לעיר את־פאת־קדמה אלפים באמה ואת־פאת־נגב אלפים באמה ואת־פאת־ים אלפים באמה ואת פאת צפון אלפים באמה והעיר בתוך זה יהיה להם מגרשׁי הערים׃
Num 35:6 ואת הערים אשׁר תתנו ללוים את שׁשׁ־ערי המקלט אשׁר תתנו לנס שׁמה הרצח ועליהם תתנו ארבעים ושׁתים עיר׃
Num 35:7 כל־הערים אשׁר תתנו ללוים ארבעים ושׁמנה עיר אתהן ואת־מגרשׁיהן׃
Num 35:8 והערים אשׁר תתנו מאחזת בני־ישׂראל מאת הרב תרבו ומאת המעט תמעיטו אישׁ כפי נחלתו אשׁר ינחלו יתן מעריו ללוים׃
Num 35:9 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה לאמר׃
Num 35:10 דבר אל־בני ישׂראל ואמרת אלהם כי אתם עברים את־הירדן ארצה כנען׃
Num 35:11 והקריתם לכם ערים ערי מקלט תהיינה לכם ונס שׁמה רצח מכה־נפשׁ בשׁגגה׃
Num 35:12 והיו לכם הערים למקלט מגאל ולא ימות הרצח עד־עמדו לפני העדה למשׁפט׃
Num 35:13 והערים אשׁר תתנו שׁשׁ־ערי מקלט תהיינה לכם׃
Num 35:14 את שׁלשׁ הערים תתנו מעבר לירדן ואת שׁלשׁ הערים תתנו בארץ כנען ערי מקלט תהיינה׃
Num 35:15 לבני ישׂראל ולגר ולתושׁב בתוכם תהיינה שׁשׁ־הערים האלה למקלט לנוס שׁמה כל־מכה־נפשׁ בשׁגגה׃
Num 35:16 ואם־בכלי ברזל הכהו וימת רצח הוא מות יומת הרצח׃
Num 35:17 ואם באבן יד אשׁר־ימות בה הכהו וימת רצח הוא מות יומת הרצח׃
Num 35:18 או בכלי עץ־יד אשׁר־ימות בו הכהו וימת רצח הוא מות יומת הרצח׃
Num 35:19 גאל הדם הוא ימית את־הרצח בפגעו־בו הוא ימתנו׃
Num 35:20 ואם־בשׂנאה יהדפנו או־השׁליך עליו בצדיה וימת׃
Num 35:21 או באיבה הכהו בידו וימת מות־יומת המכה רצח הוא גאל הדם ימית את־הרצח בפגעו־בו׃
Num 35:22 ואם־בפתע בלא־איבה הדפו או־השׁליך עליו כל־כלי בלא צדיה׃
Num 35:23 או בכל־אבן אשׁר־ימות בה בלא ראות ויפל עליו וימת והוא לא־אויב לו ולא מבקשׁ רעתו׃
Num 35:24 ושׁפטו העדה בין המכה ובין גאל הדם על המשׁפטים האלה׃
Num 35:25 והצילו העדה את־הרצח מיד גאל הדם והשׁיבו אתו העדה אל־עיר מקלטו אשׁר־נס שׁמה וישׁב בה עד־מות הכהן הגדל אשׁר־משׁח אתו בשׁמן הקדשׁ׃
Num 35:26 ואם־יצא יצא הרצח את־גבול עיר מקלטו אשׁר ינוס שׁמה׃
Num 35:27 ומצא אתו גאל הדם מחוץ לגבול עיר מקלטו ורצח גאל הדם את־הרצח אין לו דם׃
Num 35:28 כי בעיר מקלטו ישׁב עד־מות הכהן הגדל ואחרי מות הכהן הגדל ישׁוב הרצח אל־ארץ אחזתו׃
Num 35:29 והיו אלה לכם לחקת משׁפט לדרתיכם בכל מושׁבתיכם׃
Num 35:30 כל־מכה־נפשׁ לפי עדים ירצח את־הרצח ועד אחד לא־יענה בנפשׁ למות׃
Num 35:31 ולא־תקחו כפר לנפשׁ רצח אשׁר־הוא רשׁע למות כי־מות יומת׃
Num 35:32 ולא־תקחו כפר לנוס אל־עיר מקלטו לשׁוב לשׁבת בארץ עד־מות הכהן׃
Num 35:33 ולא־תחניפו את־הארץ אשׁר אתם בה כי הדם הוא יחניף את־הארץ ולארץ לא־יכפר לדם אשׁר שׁפך־בה כי־אם בדם שׁפכו׃
Num 35:34 ולא תטמא את־הארץ אשׁר אתם ישׁבים בה אשׁר אני שׁכן בתוכה כי אני יהוה שׁכן בתוך בני ישׂראל׃
Num 36:1 ויקרבו ראשׁי האבות למשׁפחת בני־גלעד בן־מכיר בן־מנשׁה ממשׁפחת בני יוסף וידברו לפני משׁה ולפני הנשׂאים ראשׁי אבות לבני ישׂראל׃
Num 36:2 ויאמרו את־אדני צוה יהוה לתת את־הארץ בנחלה בגורל לבני ישׂראל ואדני צוה ביהוה לתת את־נחלת צלפחד אחינו לבנתיו׃
Num 36:3 והיו לאחד מבני שׁבטי בני־ישׂראל לנשׁים ונגרעה נחלתן מנחלת אבתינו ונוסף על נחלת המטה אשׁר תהיינה להם ומגרל נחלתנו יגרע׃
Num 36:4 ואם־יהיה היבל לבני ישׂראל ונוספה נחלתן על נחלת המטה אשׁר תהיינה להם ומנחלת מטה אבתינו יגרע נחלתן׃
Num 36:5 ויצו משׁה את־בני ישׂראל על־פי יהוה לאמר כן מטה בני־יוסף דברים׃
Num 36:6 זה הדבר אשׁר־צוה יהוה לבנות צלפחד לאמר לטוב בעיניהם תהיינה לנשׁים אך למשׁפחת מטה אביהם תהיינה לנשׁים׃
Num 36:7 ולא־תסב נחלה לבני ישׂראל ממטה אל־מטה כי אישׁ בנחלת מטה אבתיו ידבקו בני ישׂראל׃
Num 36:8 וכל־בת ירשׁת נחלה ממטות בני ישׂראל לאחד ממשׁפחת מטה אביה תהיה לאשׁה למען יירשׁו בני ישׂראל אישׁ נחלת אבתיו׃
Num 36:9 ולא־תסב נחלה ממטה למטה אחר כי־אישׁ בנחלתו ידבקו מטות בני ישׂראל׃
Num 36:10 כאשׁר צוה יהוה את־משׁה כן עשׂו בנות צלפחד׃
Num 36:11 ותהיינה מחלה תרצה וחגלה ומלכה ונעה בנות צלפחד לבני דדיהן לנשׁים׃
Num 36:12 ממשׁפחת בני־מנשׁה בן־יוסף היו לנשׁים ותהי נחלתן על־מטה משׁפחת אביהן׃
Num 36:13 אלה המצות והמשׁפטים אשׁר צוה יהוה ביד־משׁה אל־בני ישׂראל בערבת מואב על ירדן ירחו׃
Num 30:1 (30:2) וידבר משׁה אל־ראשׁי המטות לבני ישׂראל לאמר זה הדבר אשׁר צוה יהוה׃
Num 30:2 (30:3) אישׁ כי־ידר נדר ליהוה או־השׁבע שׁבעה לאסר אסר על־נפשׁו לא יחל דברו ככל־היצא מפיו יעשׂה׃
Num 30:3 (30:4) ואשׁה כי־תדר נדר ליהוה ואסרה אסר בבית אביה בנעריה׃
Num 30:4 (30:5) ושׁמע אביה את־נדרה ואסרה אשׁר אסרה על־נפשׁה והחרישׁ לה אביה וקמו כל־נדריה וכל־אסר אשׁר־אסרה על־נפשׁה יקום׃
Num 30:5 (30:6) ואם־הניא אביה אתה ביום שׁמעו כל־נדריה ואסריה אשׁר־אסרה על־נפשׁה לא יקום ויהוה יסלח־לה כי־הניא אביה אתה׃
Num 30:6 (30:7) ואם־היו תהיה לאישׁ ונדריה עליה או מבטא שׂפתיה אשׁר אסרה על־נפשׁה׃
Num 30:7 (30:8) ושׁמע אישׁה ביום שׁמעו והחרישׁ לה וקמו נדריה ואסרה אשׁר־אסרה על־נפשׁה יקמו׃
Num 30:8 (30:9) ואם ביום שׁמע אישׁה יניא אותה והפר את־נדרה אשׁר עליה ואת מבטא שׂפתיה אשׁר אסרה על־נפשׁה ויהוה יסלח־לה׃
Num 30:9 (30:10) ונדר אלמנה וגרושׁה כל אשׁר־אסרה על־נפשׁה יקום עליה׃
Num 30:10 (30:11) ואם־בית אישׁה נדרה או־אסרה אסר על־נפשׁה בשׁבעה׃
Num 30:11 (30:12) ושׁמע אישׁה והחרשׁ לה לא הניא אתה וקמו כל־נדריה וכל־אסר אשׁר־אסרה על־נפשׁה יקום׃
Num 30:12 (30:13) ואם־הפר יפר אתם אישׁה ביום שׁמעו כל־מוצא שׂפתיה לנדריה ולאסר נפשׁה לא יקום אישׁה הפרם ויהוה יסלח־לה׃
Num 30:13 (30:14) כל־נדר וכל־שׁבעת אסר לענת נפשׁ אישׁה יקימנו ואישׁה יפרנו׃
Num 30:14 (30:15) ואם־החרשׁ יחרישׁ לה אישׁה מיום אל־יום והקים את־כל־נדריה או את־כל־אסריה אשׁר עליה הקים אתם כי־החרשׁ לה ביום שׁמעו׃
Num 30:15 (30:16) ואם־הפר יפר אתם אחרי שׁמעו ונשׂא את־עונה׃
Num 30:16 (30:17) אלה החקים אשׁר צוה יהוה את־משׁה בין אישׁ לאשׁתו בין־אב לבתו בנעריה בית אביה׃
Num 31:1 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה לאמר׃
Num 31:2 נקם נקמת בני ישׂראל מאת המדינים אחר תאסף אל־עמיך׃
Num 31:3 וידבר משׁה אל־העם לאמר החלצו מאתכם אנשׁים לצבא ויהיו על־מדין לתת נקמת־יהוה במדין׃
Num 31:4 אלף למטה אלף למטה לכל מטות ישׂראל תשׁלחו לצבא׃
Num 31:5 וימסרו מאלפי ישׂראל אלף למטה שׁנים־עשׂר אלף חלוצי צבא׃
Num 31:6 וישׁלח אתם משׁה אלף למטה לצבא אתם ואת־פינחס בן־אלעזר הכהן לצבא וכלי הקדשׁ וחצצרות התרועה בידו׃
Num 31:7 ויצבאו על־מדין כאשׁר צוה יהוה את־משׁה ויהרגו כל־זכר׃
Num 31:8 ואת־מלכי מדין הרגו על־חלליהם את־אוי ואת־רקם ואת־צור ואת־חור ואת־רבע חמשׁת מלכי מדין ואת בלעם בן־בעור הרגו בחרב׃
Num 31:9 וישׁבו בני־ישׂראל את־נשׁי מדין ואת־טפם ואת כל־בהמתם ואת־כל־מקנהם ואת־כל־חילם בזזו׃
Num 31:10 ואת כל־עריהם במושׁבתם ואת כל־טירתם שׂרפו באשׁ׃
Num 31:11 ויקחו את־כל־השׁלל ואת כל־המלקוח באדם ובבהמה׃
Num 31:12 ויבאו אל־משׁה ואל־אלעזר הכהן ואל־עדת בני־ישׂראל את־השׁבי ואת־המלקוח ואת־השׁלל אל־המחנה אל־ערבת מואב אשׁר על־ירדן ירחו׃
Num 31:13 ויצאו משׁה ואלעזר הכהן וכל־נשׂיאי העדה לקראתם אל־מחוץ למחנה׃
Num 31:14 ויקצף משׁה על פקודי החיל שׂרי האלפים ושׂרי המאות הבאים מצבא המלחמה׃
Num 31:15 ויאמר אליהם משׁה החייתם כל־נקבה׃
Num 31:16 הן הנה היו לבני ישׂראל בדבר בלעם למסר־מעל ביהוה על־דבר־פעור ותהי המגפה בעדת יהוה׃
Num 31:17 ועתה הרגו כל־זכר בטף וכל־אשׁה ידעת אישׁ למשׁכב זכר הרגו׃
Num 31:18 וכל הטף בנשׁים אשׁר לא־ידעו משׁכב זכר החיו לכם׃
Num 31:19 ואתם חנו מחוץ למחנה שׁבעת ימים כל הרג נפשׁ וכל נגע בחלל תתחטאו ביום השׁלישׁי וביום השׁביעי אתם ושׁביכם׃
Num 31:20 וכל־בגד וכל־כלי־עור וכל־מעשׂה עזים וכל־כלי־עץ תתחטאו׃
Num 31:21 ויאמר אלעזר הכהן אל־אנשׁי הצבא הבאים למלחמה זאת חקת התורה אשׁר־צוה יהוה את־משׁה׃
Num 31:22 אך את־הזהב ואת־הכסף את־הנחשׁת את־הברזל את־הבדיל ואת־העפרת׃
Num 31:23 כל־דבר אשׁר־יבא באשׁ תעבירו באשׁ וטהר אך במי נדה יתחטא וכל אשׁר לא־יבא באשׁ תעבירו במים׃
Num 31:24 וכבסתם בגדיכם ביום השׁביעי וטהרתם ואחר תבאו אל־המחנה׃
Num 31:25 ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה לאמר׃
Num 31:26 שׂא את ראשׁ מלקוח השׁבי באדם ובבהמה אתה ואלעזר הכהן וראשׁי אבות העדה׃
Num 31:27 וחצית את־המלקוח בין תפשׂי המלחמה היצאים לצבא ובין כל־העדה׃
Num 31:28 והרמת מכס ליהוה מאת אנשׁי המלחמה היצאים לצבא אחד נפשׁ מחמשׁ המאות מן־האדם ומן־הבקר ומן־החמרים ומן־הצאן׃
Num 31:29 ממחציתם תקחו ונתתה לאלעזר הכהן תרומת יהוה׃
Num 31:30 וממחצת בני־ישׂראל תקח אחד אחז מן־החמשׁים מן־האדם מן־הבקר מן־החמרים ומן־הצאן מכל־הבהמה ונתתה אתם ללוים שׁמרי משׁמרת משׁכן יהוה׃
Num 31:31 ויעשׂ משׁה ואלעזר הכהן כאשׁר צוה יהוה את־משׁה׃
Num 31:32 ויהי המלקוח יתר הבז אשׁר בזזו עם הצבא צאן שׁשׁ־מאות אלף ושׁבעים אלף וחמשׁת־אלפים׃
Num 31:33 ובקר שׁנים ושׁבעים אלף׃
Num 31:34 וחמרים אחד ושׁשׁים אלף׃
Num 31:35 ונפשׁ אדם מן־הנשׁים אשׁר לא־ידעו משׁכב זכר כל־נפשׁ שׁנים ושׁלשׁים אלף׃
Num 31:36 ותהי המחצה חלק היצאים בצבא מספר הצאן שׁלשׁ־מאות אלף ושׁלשׁים אלף ושׁבעת אלפים וחמשׁ מאות׃
Num 31:37 ויהי המכס ליהוה מן־הצאן שׁשׁ מאות חמשׁ ושׁבעים׃
Num 31:38 והבקר שׁשׁה ושׁלשׁים אלף ומכסם ליהוה שׁנים ושׁבעים׃
Num 31:39 וחמרים שׁלשׁים אלף וחמשׁ מאות ומכסם ליהוה אחד ושׁשׁים׃
Num 31:40 ונפשׁ אדם שׁשׁה עשׂר אלף ומכסם ליהוה שׁנים ושׁלשׁים נפשׁ׃
Num 31:41 ויתן משׁה את־מכס תרומת יהוה לאלעזר הכהן כאשׁר צוה יהוה את־משׁה׃
Num 31:42 וממחצית בני ישׂראל אשׁר חצה משׁה מן־האנשׁים הצבאים׃
Num 31:43 ותהי מחצת העדה מן־הצאן שׁלשׁ־מאות אלף ושׁלשׁים אלף שׁבעת אלפים וחמשׁ מאות׃
Num 31:44 ובקר שׁשׁה ושׁלשׁים אלף׃
Num 31:45 וחמרים שׁלשׁים אלף וחמשׁ מאות׃
Num 31:46 ונפשׁ אדם שׁשׁה עשׂר אלף׃
Num 31:47 ויקח משׁה ממחצת בני־ישׂראל את־האחז אחד מן־החמשׁים מן־האדם ומן־הבהמה ויתן אתם ללוים שׁמרי משׁמרת משׁכן יהוה כאשׁר צוה יהוה את־משׁה׃
Num 31:48 ויקרבו אל־משׁה הפקדים אשׁר לאלפי הצבא שׂרי האלפים ושׂרי המאות׃
Num 31:49 ויאמרו אל־משׁה עבדיך נשׂאו את־ראשׁ אנשׁי המלחמה אשׁר בידנו ולא־נפקד ממנו אישׁ׃
Num 31:50 ונקרב את־קרבן יהוה אישׁ אשׁר מצא כלי־זהב אצעדה וצמיד טבעת עגיל וכומז לכפר על־נפשׁתינו לפני יהוה׃
Num 31:51 ויקח משׁה ואלעזר הכהן את־הזהב מאתם כל כלי מעשׂה׃
Num 31:52 ויהי כל־זהב התרומה אשׁר הרימו ליהוה שׁשׁה עשׂר אלף שׁבע־מאות וחמשׁים שׁקל מאת שׂרי האלפים ומאת שׂרי המאות׃
Num 31:53 אנשׁי הצבא בזזו אישׁ לו׃
Num 31:54 ויקח משׁה ואלעזר הכהן את־הזהב מאת שׂרי האלפים והמאות ויבאו אתו אל־אהל מועד זכרון לבני־ישׂראל לפני יהוה׃
Num 32:1 ומקנה רב היה לבני ראובן ולבני־גד עצום מאד ויראו את־ארץ יעזר ואת־ארץ גלעד והנה המקום מקום מקנה׃
Num 32:2 ויבאו בני־גד ובני ראובן ויאמרו אל־משׁה ואל־אלעזר הכהן ואל־נשׂיאי העדה לאמר׃
Num 32:3 עטרות ודיבן ויעזר ונמרה וחשׁבון ואלעלה ושׂבם ונבו ובען׃
Num 32:4 הארץ אשׁר הכה יהוה לפני עדת ישׂראל ארץ מקנה הוא ולעבדיך מקנה׃
Num 32:5 ויאמרו אם־מצאנו חן בעיניך יתן את־הארץ הזאת לעבדיך לאחזה אל־תעברנו את־הירדן׃
Num 32:6 ויאמר משׁה לבני־גד ולבני ראובן האחיכם יבאו למלחמה ואתם תשׁבו פה׃
Num 32:7 ולמה תנואון את־לב בני ישׂראל מעבר אל־הארץ אשׁר־נתן להם יהוה׃
Num 32:8 כה עשׂו אבתיכם בשׁלחי אתם מקדשׁ ברנע לראות את־הארץ׃
Num 32:9 ויעלו עד־נחל אשׁכול ויראו את־הארץ ויניאו את־לב בני ישׂראל לבלתי־בא אל־הארץ אשׁר־נתן להם יהוה׃
Num 32:10 ויחר־אף יהוה ביום ההוא וישׁבע לאמר׃
Num 32:11 אם־יראו האנשׁים העלים ממצרים מבן עשׂרים שׁנה ומעלה את האדמה אשׁר נשׁבעתי לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב כי לא־מלאו אחרי׃
Num 32:12 בלתי כלב בן־יפנה הקנזי ויהושׁע בן־נון כי מלאו אחרי יהוה׃
Num 32:13 ויחר־אף יהוה בישׂראל וינעם במדבר ארבעים שׁנה עד־תם כל־הדור העשׂה הרע בעיני יהוה׃
Num 32:14 והנה קמתם תחת אבתיכם תרבות אנשׁים חטאים לספות עוד על חרון אף־יהוה אל־ישׂראל׃
Num 32:15 כי תשׁובן מאחריו ויסף עוד להניחו במדבר ושׁחתם לכל־העם הזה׃
Num 32:16 ויגשׁו אליו ויאמרו גדרת צאן נבנה למקננו פה וערים לטפנו׃
Num 32:17 ואנחנו נחלץ חשׁים לפני בני ישׂראל עד אשׁר אם־הביאנם אל־מקומם וישׁב טפנו בערי המבצר מפני ישׁבי הארץ׃
Num 32:18 לא נשׁוב אל־בתינו עד התנחל בני ישׂראל אישׁ נחלתו׃
Num 32:19 כי לא ננחל אתם מעבר לירדן והלאה כי באה נחלתנו אלינו מעבר הירדן מזרחה׃
Num 32:20 ויאמר אליהם משׁה אם־תעשׂון את־הדבר הזה אם־תחלצו לפני יהוה למלחמה׃
Num 32:21 ועבר לכם כל־חלוץ את־הירדן לפני יהוה עד הורישׁו את־איביו מפניו׃
Num 32:22 ונכבשׁה הארץ לפני יהוה ואחר תשׁבו והייתם נקים מיהוה ומישׂראל והיתה הארץ הזאת לכם לאחזה לפני יהוה׃
Num 32:23 ואם־לא תעשׂון כן הנה חטאתם ליהוה ודעו חטאתכם אשׁר תמצא אתכם׃
Num 32:24 בנו־לכם ערים לטפכם וגדרת לצנאכם והיצא מפיכם תעשׂו׃
Num 32:25 ויאמר בני־גד ובני ראובן אל־משׁה לאמר עבדיך יעשׂו כאשׁר אדני מצוה׃
Num 32:26 טפנו נשׁינו מקננו וכל־בהמתנו יהיו־שׁם בערי הגלעד׃
Num 32:27 ועבדיך יעברו כל־חלוץ צבא לפני יהוה למלחמה כאשׁר אדני דבר׃
Num 32:28 ויצו להם משׁה את אלעזר הכהן ואת יהושׁע בן־נון ואת־ראשׁי אבות המטות לבני ישׂראל׃
Num 32:29 ויאמר משׁה אלהם אם־יעברו בני־גד ובני־ראובן אתכם את־הירדן כל־חלוץ למלחמה לפני יהוה ונכבשׁה הארץ לפניכם ונתתם להם את־ארץ הגלעד לאחזה׃
Num 32:30 ואם־לא יעברו חלוצים אתכם ונאחזו בתככם בארץ כנען׃
Num 32:31 ויענו בני־גד ובני ראובן לאמר את אשׁר דבר יהוה אל־עבדיך כן נעשׂה׃
Num 32:32 נחנו נעבר חלוצים לפני יהוה ארץ כנען ואתנו אחזת נחלתנו מעבר לירדן׃
Num 32:33 ויתן להם משׁה לבני־גד ולבני ראובן ולחצי שׁבט מנשׁה בן־יוסף את־ממלכת סיחן מלך האמרי ואת־ממלכת עוג מלך הבשׁן הארץ לעריה בגבלת ערי הארץ סביב׃
Num 32:34 ויבנו בני־גד את־דיבן ואת־עטרת ואת ערער׃
Num 32:35 ואת־עטרת שׁופן ואת־יעזר ויגבהה׃
Num 32:36 ואת־בית נמרה ואת־בית הרן ערי מבצר וגדרת צאן׃
Num 32:37 ובני ראובן בנו את־חשׁבון ואת־אלעלא ואת קריתים׃
Num 32:38 ואת־נבו ואת־בעל מעון מוסבת שׁם ואת־שׂבמה ויקראו בשׁמת את־שׁמות הערים אשׁר בנו׃
Num 32:39 וילכו בני מכיר בן־מנשׁה גלעדה וילכדה ויורשׁ את־האמרי אשׁר־בה׃
Num 32:40 ויתן משׁה את־הגלעד למכיר בן־מנשׁה וישׁב בה׃
Num 32:41 ויאיר בן־מנשׁה הלך וילכד את־חותיהם ויקרא אתהן חות יאיר׃
Num 32:42 ונבח הלך וילכד את־קנת ואת־בנתיה ויקרא לה נבח בשׁמו׃
Num 33:1 אלה מסעי בני־ישׂראל אשׁר יצאו מארץ מצרים לצבאתם ביד־משׁה ואהרן׃
Num 33:2 ויכתב משׁה את־מוצאיהם למסעיהם על־פי יהוה ואלה מסעיהם למוצאיהם׃
Num 33:3 ויסעו מרעמסס בחדשׁ הראשׁון בחמשׁה עשׂר יום לחדשׁ הראשׁון ממחרת הפסח יצאו בני־ישׂראל ביד רמה לעיני כל־מצרים׃
Num 33:4 ומצרים מקברים את אשׁר הכה יהוה בהם כל־בכור ובאלהיהם עשׂה יהוה שׁפטים׃
Num 33:5 ויסעו בני־ישׂראל מרעמסס ויחנו בסכת׃
Num 33:6 ויסעו מסכת ויחנו באתם אשׁר בקצה המדבר׃
Num 33:7 ויסעו מאתם וישׁב על־פי החירת אשׁר על־פני בעל צפון ויחנו לפני מגדל׃
Num 33:8 ויסעו מפני החירת ויעברו בתוך־הים המדברה וילכו דרך שׁלשׁת ימים במדבר אתם ויחנו במרה׃
Num 33:9 ויסעו ממרה ויבאו אילמה ובאילם שׁתים עשׂרה עינת מים ושׁבעים תמרים ויחנו־שׁם׃
Num 33:10 ויסעו מאילם ויחנו על־ים־סוף׃
Num 33:11 ויסעו מים־סוף ויחנו במדבר־סין׃
Num 33:12 ויסעו ממדבר־סין ויחנו בדפקה׃
Num 33:13 ויסעו מדפקה ויחנו באלושׁ׃
Num 33:14 ויסעו מאלושׁ ויחנו ברפידם ולא־היה שׁם מים לעם לשׁתות׃
Num 33:15 ויסעו מרפידם ויחנו במדבר סיני׃
Num 33:16 ויסעו ממדבר סיני ויחנו בקברת התאוה׃
Num 33:17 ויסעו מקברת התאוה ויחנו בחצרת׃
Num 33:18 ויסעו מחצרת ויחנו ברתמה׃
Num 33:19 ויסעו מרתמה ויחנו ברמן פרץ׃

Num 33:38 ויעל אהרן הכהן אל־הר ההר על־פי יהוה וימת שׁם בשׁנת הארבעים לצאת בני־ישׂראל מארץ מצרים בחדשׁ החמישׁי באחד לחדשׁ׃
Num 33:39 ואהרן בן־שׁלשׁ ועשׂרים ומאת שׁנה במתו בהר ההר׃
Num 33:40 וישׁמע הכנעני מלך ערד והוא־ישׁב בנגב בארץ כנען בבא בני ישׂראל׃
Num 33:41 ויסעו מהר ההר ויחנו בצלמנה׃
Num 33:42 ויסעו מצלמנה ויחנו בפונן׃
Num 33:43 ויסעו מפונן ויחנו באבת׃
Num 33:44 ויסעו מאבת ויחנו בעיי העברים בגבול מואב׃

Num 33:47 ויסעו מעלמן דבלתימה ויחנו בהרי העברים לפני נבו׃
Num 33:48 ויסעו מהרי העברים ויחנו בערבת מואב על ירדן ירחו׃
Num 33:49 ויחנו על־הירדן מבית הישׁמת עד אבל השׁטים בערבת מואב׃
Num 33:50 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה בערבת מואב על־ירדן ירחו לאמר׃
Num 33:51 דבר אל־בני ישׂראל ואמרת אלהם כי אתם עברים את־הירדן אל־ארץ כנען׃
Num 33:52 והורשׁתם את־כל־ישׁבי הארץ מפניכם ואבדתם את כל־משׂכיתם ואת כל־צלמי מסכתם תאבדו ואת כל־במותם תשׁמידו׃
Num 33:53 והורשׁתם את־הארץ וישׁבתם־בה כי לכם נתתי את־הארץ לרשׁת אתה׃
Num 33:54 והתנחלתם את־הארץ בגורל למשׁפחתיכם לרב תרבו את־נחלתו ולמעט תמעיט את־נחלתו אל אשׁר־יצא לו שׁמה הגורל לו יהיה למטות אבתיכם תתנחלו׃
Num 33:55 ואם־לא תורישׁו את־ישׁבי הארץ מפניכם והיה אשׁר תותירו מהם לשׂכים בעיניכם ולצנינם בצדיכם וצררו אתכם על־הארץ אשׁר אתם ישׁבים בה׃
Num 33:56 והיה כאשׁר דמיתי לעשׂות להם אעשׂה לכם׃
Num 34:1 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה לאמר׃
Num 34:2 צו את־בני ישׂראל ואמרת אלהם כי־אתם באים אל־הארץ כנען זאת הארץ אשׁר תפל לכם בנחלה ארץ כנען לגבלתיה׃
Num 34:3 והיה לכם פאת־נגב ממדבר־צן על־ידי אדום והיה לכם גבול נגב מקצה ים־המלח קדמה׃
Num 34:4 ונסב לכם הגבול מנגב למעלה עקרבים ועבר צנה והיה תוצאתיו מנגב לקדשׁ ברנע ויצא חצר־אדר ועבר עצמנה׃
Num 34:5 ונסב הגבול מעצמון נחלה מצרים והיו תוצאתיו הימה׃
Num 34:6 וגבול ים והיה לכם הים הגדול וגבול זה־יהיה לכם גבול ים׃
Num 34:7 וזה־יהיה לכם גבול צפון מן־הים הגדל תתאו לכם הר ההר׃
Num 34:8 מהר ההר תתאו לבא חמת והיו תוצאת הגבל צדדה׃
Num 34:9 ויצא הגבל זפרנה והיו תוצאתיו חצר עינן זה־יהיה לכם גבול צפון׃
Num 34:10 והתאויתם לכם לגבול קדמה מחצר עינן שׁפמה׃
Num 34:11 וירד הגבל משׁפם הרבלה מקדם לעין וירד הגבל ומחה על־כתף ים־כנרת קדמה׃
Num 34:12 וירד הגבול הירדנה והיו תוצאתיו ים המלח זאת תהיה לכם הארץ לגבלתיה סביב׃
Num 34:13 ויצו משׁה את־בני ישׂראל לאמר זאת הארץ אשׁר תתנחלו אתה בגורל אשׁר צוה יהוה לתת לתשׁעת המטות וחצי המטה׃
Num 34:14 כי לקחו מטה בני הראובני לבית אבתם ומטה בני־הגדי לבית אבתם וחצי מטה מנשׁה לקחו נחלתם׃
Num 34:15 שׁני המטות וחצי המטה לקחו נחלתם מעבר לירדן ירחו קדמה מזרחה׃
Num 34:16 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה לאמר׃
Num 34:17 אלה שׁמות האנשׁים אשׁר־ינחלו לכם את־הארץ אלעזר הכהן ויהושׁע בן־נון׃
Num 34:18 ונשׂיא אחד נשׂיא אחד ממטה תקחו לנחל את־הארץ׃
Num 34:19 ואלה שׁמות האנשׁים למטה יהודה כלב בן־יפנה׃
Num 34:20 ולמטה בני שׁמעון שׁמואל בן־עמיהוד׃
Num 34:21 למטה בנימן אלידד בן־כסלון׃
Num 34:22 ולמטה בני־דן נשׂיא בקי בן־יגלי׃
Num 34:23 לבני יוסף למטה בני־מנשׁה נשׂיא חניאל בן־אפד׃
Num 34:24 ולמטה בני־אפרים נשׂיא קמואל בן־שׁפטן׃
Num 34:25 ולמטה בני־זבולן נשׂיא אליצפן בן־פרנך׃
Num 34:26 ולמטה בני־ישׂשכר נשׂיא פלטיאל בן־עזן׃
Num 34:27 ולמטה בני־אשׁר נשׂיא אחיהוד בן־שׁלמי׃
Num 34:28 ולמטה בני־נפתלי נשׂיא פדהאל בן־עמיהוד׃
Num 34:29 אלה אשׁר צוה יהוה לנחל את־בני־ישׂראל בארץ כנען׃
Num 35:1 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה בערבת מואב על־ירדן ירחו לאמר׃
Num 35:2 צו את־בני ישׂראל ונתנו ללוים מנחלת אחזתם ערים לשׁבת ומגרשׁ לערים סביבתיהם תתנו ללוים׃
Num 35:3 והיו הערים להם לשׁבת ומגרשׁיהם יהיו לבהמתם ולרכשׁם ולכל חיתם׃
Num 35:4 ומגרשׁי הערים אשׁר תתנו ללוים מקיר העיר וחוצה אלף אמה סביב׃
Num 35:5 ומדתם מחוץ לעיר את־פאת־קדמה אלפים באמה ואת־פאת־נגב אלפים באמה ואת־פאת־ים אלפים באמה ואת פאת צפון אלפים באמה והעיר בתוך זה יהיה להם מגרשׁי הערים׃
Num 35:6 ואת הערים אשׁר תתנו ללוים את שׁשׁ־ערי המקלט אשׁר תתנו לנס שׁמה הרצח ועליהם תתנו ארבעים ושׁתים עיר׃
Num 35:7 כל־הערים אשׁר תתנו ללוים ארבעים ושׁמנה עיר אתהן ואת־מגרשׁיהן׃
Num 35:8 והערים אשׁר תתנו מאחזת בני־ישׂראל מאת הרב תרבו ומאת המעט תמעיטו אישׁ כפי נחלתו אשׁר ינחלו יתן מעריו ללוים׃
Num 35:9 וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה לאמר׃
Num 35:10 דבר אל־בני ישׂראל ואמרת אלהם כי אתם עברים את־הירדן ארצה כנען׃
Num 35:11 והקריתם לכם ערים ערי מקלט תהיינה לכם ונס שׁמה רצח מכה־נפשׁ בשׁגגה׃
Num 35:12 והיו לכם הערים למקלט מגאל ולא ימות הרצח עד־עמדו לפני העדה למשׁפט׃
Num 35:13 והערים אשׁר תתנו שׁשׁ־ערי מקלט תהיינה לכם׃
Num 35:14 את שׁלשׁ הערים תתנו מעבר לירדן ואת שׁלשׁ הערים תתנו בארץ כנען ערי מקלט תהיינה׃
Num 35:15 לבני ישׂראל ולגר ולתושׁב בתוכם תהיינה שׁשׁ־הערים האלה למקלט לנוס שׁמה כל־מכה־נפשׁ בשׁגגה׃
Num 35:16 ואם־בכלי ברזל הכהו וימת רצח הוא מות יומת הרצח׃
Num 35:17 ואם באבן יד אשׁר־ימות בה הכהו וימת רצח הוא מות יומת הרצח׃
Num 35:18 או בכלי עץ־יד אשׁר־ימות בו הכהו וימת רצח הוא מות יומת הרצח׃
Num 35:19 גאל הדם הוא ימית את־הרצח בפגעו־בו הוא ימתנו׃
Num 35:20 ואם־בשׂנאה יהדפנו או־השׁליך עליו בצדיה וימת׃
Num 35:21 או באיבה הכהו בידו וימת מות־יומת המכה רצח הוא גאל הדם ימית את־הרצח בפגעו־בו׃
Num 35:22 ואם־בפתע בלא־איבה הדפו או־השׁליך עליו כל־כלי בלא צדיה׃
Num 35:23 או בכל־אבן אשׁר־ימות בה בלא ראות ויפל עליו וימת והוא לא־אויב לו ולא מבקשׁ רעתו׃
Num 35:24 ושׁפטו העדה בין המכה ובין גאל הדם על המשׁפטים האלה׃
Num 35:25 והצילו העדה את־הרצח מיד גאל הדם והשׁיבו אתו העדה אל־עיר מקלטו אשׁר־נס שׁמה וישׁב בה עד־מות הכהן הגדל אשׁר־משׁח אתו בשׁמן הקדשׁ׃
Num 35:26 ואם־יצא יצא הרצח את־גבול עיר מקלטו אשׁר ינוס שׁמה׃
Num 35:27 ומצא אתו גאל הדם מחוץ לגבול עיר מקלטו ורצח גאל הדם את־הרצח אין לו דם׃
Num 35:28 כי בעיר מקלטו ישׁב עד־מות הכהן הגדל ואחרי מות הכהן הגדל ישׁוב הרצח אל־ארץ אחזתו׃
Num 35:29 והיו אלה לכם לחקת משׁפט לדרתיכם בכל מושׁבתיכם׃
Num 35:30 כל־מכה־נפשׁ לפי עדים ירצח את־הרצח ועד אחד לא־יענה בנפשׁ למות׃
Num 35:31 ולא־תקחו כפר לנפשׁ רצח אשׁר־הוא רשׁע למות כי־מות יומת׃
Num 35:32 ולא־תקחו כפר לנוס אל־עיר מקלטו לשׁוב לשׁבת בארץ עד־מות הכהן׃
Num 35:33 ולא־תחניפו את־הארץ אשׁר אתם בה כי הדם הוא יחניף את־הארץ ולארץ לא־יכפר לדם אשׁר שׁפך־בה כי־אם בדם שׁפכו׃
Num 35:34 ולא תטמא את־הארץ אשׁר אתם ישׁבים בה אשׁר אני שׁכן בתוכה כי אני יהוה שׁכן בתוך בני ישׂראל׃
Num 36:1 ויקרבו ראשׁי האבות למשׁפחת בני־גלעד בן־מכיר בן־מנשׁה ממשׁפחת בני יוסף וידברו לפני משׁה ולפני הנשׂאים ראשׁי אבות לבני ישׂראל׃
Num 36:2 ויאמרו את־אדני צוה יהוה לתת את־הארץ בנחלה בגורל לבני ישׂראל ואדני צוה ביהוה לתת את־נחלת צלפחד אחינו לבנתיו׃
Num 36:3 והיו לאחד מבני שׁבטי בני־ישׂראל לנשׁים ונגרעה נחלתן מנחלת אבתינו ונוסף על נחלת המטה אשׁר תהיינה להם ומגרל נחלתנו יגרע׃
Num 36:4 ואם־יהיה היבל לבני ישׂראל ונוספה נחלתן על נחלת המטה אשׁר תהיינה להם ומנחלת מטה אבתינו יגרע נחלתן׃
Num 36:5 ויצו משׁה את־בני ישׂראל על־פי יהוה לאמר כן מטה בני־יוסף דברים׃
Num 36:6 זה הדבר אשׁר־צוה יהוה לבנות צלפחד לאמר לטוב בעיניהם תהיינה לנשׁים אך למשׁפחת מטה אביהם תהיינה לנשׁים׃
Num 36:7 ולא־תסב נחלה לבני ישׂראל ממטה אל־מטה כי אישׁ בנחלת מטה אבתיו ידבקו בני ישׂראל׃
Num 36:8 וכל־בת ירשׁת נחלה ממטות בני ישׂראל לאחד ממשׁפחת מטה אביה תהיה לאשׁה למען יירשׁו בני ישׂראל אישׁ נחלת אבתיו׃
Num 36:9 ולא־תסב נחלה ממטה למטה אחר כי־אישׁ בנחלתו ידבקו מטות בני ישׂראל׃
Num 36:10 כאשׁר צוה יהוה את־משׁה כן עשׂו בנות צלפחד׃
Num 36:11 ותהיינה מחלה תרצה וחגלה ומלכה ונעה בנות צלפחד לבני דדיהן לנשׁים׃
Num 36:12 ממשׁפחת בני־מנשׁה בן־יוסף היו לנשׁים ותהי נחלתן על־מטה משׁפחת אביהן׃
Num 36:13 אלה המצות והמשׁפטים אשׁר צוה יהוה ביד־משׁה אל־בני ישׂראל בערבת מואב על ירדן ירחו׃

B’midbar 30:4 (30:5) then, if her father has heard what she vowed or obligated herself to do and holds his peace, then all her vows remain binding — every obligation she has bound herself to will stand.
B’midbar 30:5 (30:6) But if on the day her father hears it, he expresses his disapproval, then none of her vows or obligations she has bound herself to will stand; and YHVH will forgive her, because her father expressed his disapproval.
B’midbar 30:6 (30:7) "If, having made vows or rashly committed herself to an obligation, she gets married;
B’midbar 30:7 (30:8) and her husband hears but holds his peace with her on the day he learns of it, then her vows and obligations she has bound herself to will stand.
B’midbar 30:8 (30:9) But if her husband expresses his disapproval on the day he hears it, he will void the vow which is on her and the obligation to which she has bound herself; and YHVH will forgive her.
B’midbar 30:9 (30:10) "The vow of a widow, however, or of a divorcee, including everything to which she has obligated herself, will stand against her.
B’midbar 30:10 (30:11) "If a woman vowed in her husband's house or obligated herself with an oath;
B’midbar 30:11 (30:12) and her husband heard it but held his peace with her and did not express disapproval, then all her vows and obligations will stand.
B’midbar 30:12 (30:13) But if her husband makes them null and void on the day he hears them, then whatever she said, vows or binding obligation, will not stand; her husband has voided them; and YHVH will forgive her.
B’midbar 30:13 (30:14) Her husband may let every vow and every binding obligation stand, or he may void it.
B’midbar 30:14 (30:15) But if her husband entirely holds his peace with her day after day, then he confirms all her vows and obligations; he must let them stand, because he held his peace with her on the day he heard them.
B’midbar 30:15 (30:16) If he makes them null and void after he has heard them, then he will bear the consequent guilt."
B’midbar 30:16 (30:17) These are the laws which YHVH ordered Moshe between a man and his wife, and between a father and his daughter, if she is a minor living in her father's house.
B’midbar 31:1 YHVH said to Moshe,
B’midbar 31:2 "On behalf of the people of Yisra’el, take vengeance on the Midyanim. After that, you will be gathered to your people."
B’midbar 31:3 Moshe said to the people, "Equip men from among yourselves for war. They are to go and fight Midyan, in order to carry out YHVH's vengeance on Midyan.
B’midbar 31:4 You are to send to the war a thousand men from every one of Yisra’el's tribes."
B’midbar 31:5 So out of the thousands of people in Yisra’el, a thousand armed men from each tribe, 12,000 altogether, were mustered for war.
B’midbar 31:6 Moshe sent them, a thousand from each tribe, to the war; he sent them and Pinchas the son of El`azar the kohen to the war, with the kadosh utensils and the trumpets for sounding the alarm in his care.
B’midbar 31:7 They fought against Midyan, as YHVH had ordered Moshe, and killed every male.
B’midbar 31:8 They killed the kings of Midyan along with the others who were slain — Evi, Rekem, Tzur, Hur and Reva, the five kings of Midyan. They also killed Bil`am the son of B`or with the sword.
B’midbar 31:9 The people of Yisra’el took captive the women of Midyan and their little ones, and they took as booty all their cattle, flocks and other goods.
B’midbar 31:10 They set fire to all their cities in the areas where they lived and all their camps.
B’midbar 31:11 They took all the booty, all the people and animals they had captured,
B’midbar 31:12 and brought the captives, booty and spoil to Moshe, El`azar the kohen and the community of Yisra’el in the camp on the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden across from Yericho.
B’midbar 31:13 Moshe, El`azar the kohen and all the community leaders went to meet them outside the camp.
B’midbar 31:14 But Moshe was angry with the army officers, the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds coming in from the battlefield.
B’midbar 31:15 Moshe asked them, "You let the women live?
B’midbar 31:16 Why, these are the ones who — because of Bil`am's advice — caused the people of Yisra’el to rebel, breaking faith with YHVH in the P`or incident, so that the plague broke out among YHVH's community!
B’midbar 31:17 Now kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has ever slept with a man.
B’midbar 31:18 But the young girls who have never slept with a man, keep alive for yourselves.
B’midbar 31:19 Pitch your tents outside the camp for seven days. Whoever has killed a person or touched the corpse of someone slain, purify yourselves on the third and seventh days, you and your captives.
B’midbar 31:20 Also purify every garment, whether of skin or goat's hair, and everything made of wood."
B’midbar 31:21 El`azar the kohen said to the soldiers who had gone to the front, "This is the regulation from the Torah which YHVH has ordered Moshe.
B’midbar 31:22 Even though gold, silver, brass, iron, tin and lead
B’midbar 31:23 can all withstand fire, so that you are indeed to purify everything made of these materials by having them pass through fire; nevertheless they must also be purified with the water for purification. Everything that can't withstand fire you are to have go through the water.
B’midbar 31:24 On the seventh day you are to wash your clothes, and you will be clean; after that you may enter the camp."
B’midbar 31:25 YHVH said to Moshe,
B’midbar 31:26 "Take all the booty, both people and animals, you, El`azar the kohen and the leaders of clans in the community;
B’midbar 31:27 and divide the booty into two parts: half for the experienced soldiers who went out to battle, and half for the rest of the community.
B’midbar 31:28 From the portion of the soldiers who went out to battle, levy a tax for YHVH consisting of one-five-hundredth of the persons, cattle, donkeys and sheep;
B’midbar 31:29 take it from their half and give it to El`azar the kohen as a portion set apart for YHVH.
B’midbar 31:30 From the half that goes to the people of Yisra’el, you are to take one-fiftieth of the persons, and of the cattle, donkeys and sheep, that is, of all the livestock; and give them to the L'vi'im taking care of the tabernacle of YHVH."
B’midbar 31:31 Moshe and El`azar the kohen did as YHVH had ordered Moshe.
B’midbar 31:32 The booty, over and above the portion which the soldiers took, came to 675,000 sheep,
B’midbar 31:33 72,000 cattle,
B’midbar 31:34 61,000 donkeys,
B’midbar 31:35 and 32,000 persons in all, consisting of the women who had never slept with a man.
B’midbar 31:36 The half which was the portion of the soldiers who went out to fight, numbered 337,500 sheep,
B’midbar 31:37 of which YHVH's tribute was 675;
B’midbar 31:38 36,000 cattle, of which YHVH's tribute was seventy-two;
B’midbar 31:39 30,500 donkeys, of which YHVH's tribute was sixty-one;
B’midbar 31:40 and 16,000 persons, of whom YHVH's tribute was thirty-two persons.
B’midbar 31:41 Moshe gave the tribute set apart for YHVH to El`azar the kohen, as YHVH had ordered Moshe.
B’midbar 31:42 From the half that went to people of Yisra’el, which Moshe separated from that of the men who had gone to fight —
B’midbar 31:43 now the community's half consisted of 337,500 sheep,
B’midbar 31:44 36,000 cattle,
B’midbar 31:45 30,500 donkeys
B’midbar 31:46 and 16,000 persons —
B’midbar 31:47 from the people of Yisra’el's half, Moshe took one-fiftieth of the persons and animals and gave them to the L'vi'im taking care of the tabernacle of YHVH, as YHVH had ordered Moshe.
B’midbar 31:48 The officers in charge of the thousands who fought, the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds, approached Moshe
B’midbar 31:49 and said to him, "Your servants have counted all the soldiers under our command, and not one of us is missing.
B’midbar 31:50 We have brought an offering for YHVH, what every man has obtained in the way of gold jewelry — armlets, bracelets, signet rings, earrings and belts — to make atonement for ourselves before YHVH."
B’midbar 31:51 Moshe and El`azar the kohen accepted their gold, all the jewelry.
B’midbar 31:52 All the gold in this gift which the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds set apart for YHVH weighed 420 pounds.
B’midbar 31:53 For the soldiers had taken booty, every man for himself.
B’midbar 31:54 Moshe and El`azar the kohen took the gold from the commanders of thousands and of hundreds and brought it into the tent of meeting as a reminder for the people of Yisra’el before YHVH.
B’midbar 32:1 The descendants of Re'uven and the descendants of Gad had vast quantities of livestock. When they saw that the land of Ya`zer and the land of Gil`ad were good for livestock,
B’midbar 32:2 the descendants of Gad and of Re'uven came and spoke to Moshe, El`azar the kohen and the community leaders. They said,
B’midbar 32:3 " `Atarot, Divon, Ya`zer, Nimrah, Heshbon, El`aleh, S'vam, N'vo and Be`on,
B’midbar 32:4 the country that YHVH conquered before the community of Yisra’el, is livestock country; and your servants have livestock.
B’midbar 32:5 If you regard us favorably," they went on, "let this land be given to your servants as their possession; and don't have us cross the Yarden."
B’midbar 32:6 Moshe answered the descendants of Gad and of Re'uven: "Are your brothers to go to war while you stay here?
B’midbar 32:7 Besides, why are you trying to discourage the people of Yisra’el from crossing into the land YHVH gave them?
B’midbar 32:8 This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh-Barnea to see the land.
B’midbar 32:9 For when they went up to the Eshkol Valley and saw the land, they disheartened the people of Yisra’el, so that they wouldn't enter the land YHVH had given them.
B’midbar 32:10 YHVH's anger blazed up on that day; and he swore,
B’midbar 32:11 'None of the people aged twenty or more who came out of Mitsrayim will see the land I swore to Avraham, Yitz'chak and Ya`akov; because they haven't followed me unreservedly —
B’midbar 32:12 except Kalev the son of Y'funeh the K'nizi and Y'hoshua the son of Nun, because they have followed YHVH unreservedly.'
B’midbar 32:13 Thus YHVH's anger blazed against Yisra’el, so that he made them wander here and there in the desert forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of YHVH had died out.
B’midbar 32:14 Now you, another brood of sinners, have arisen in your fathers' place to increase still more the fierce anger of YHVH toward Yisra’el!
B’midbar 32:15 For if you turn away from him, he will leave them in the desert again, and thus you will cause the destruction of all these people!"
B’midbar 32:16 But they came up to him and said, "Here we will build enclosures for our livestock and cities for our little ones,
B’midbar 32:17 but we ourselves will be armed and ready for action to march at the head of the people of Yisra’el, until we have brought them to their place. Our little ones will stay in the fortified cities here because of the people now living in the land.
B’midbar 32:18 However, we will not return to our own homes until every man in Yisra’el has taken possession of his land for inheritance.
B’midbar 32:19 We will not have an inheritance with them on the other side of the Yarden, westward; because our inheritance has fallen to us on this side of the Yarden, eastward."
B’midbar 32:20 Moshe said to them, "If you will do this — if you will arm yourselves to go before YHVH to the war,
B’midbar 32:21 and if every one of your soldiers will cross the Yarden before YHVH, until he has driven out his enemies ahead of him,
B’midbar 32:22 and if the land has been conquered before YHVH, and only after that do you return — then you will be clear before YHVH and before Yisra’el, and this land here will be yours to possess before YHVH.
B’midbar 32:23 But if you will not do this, then you have sinned against YHVH, and you must understand that your sin will find you out.
B’midbar 32:24 Build cities for your little ones and enclosures for your sheep; then do what you said you would do."
B’midbar 32:25 The descendants of Gad and the descendants of Re'uven said to Moshe, "Your servants will do as my master orders.
B’midbar 32:26 Our little ones, wives, flocks and all our livestock will be there in the cities of Gil`ad;
B’midbar 32:27 but your servants will cross over, every man armed for war, before YHVH to do battle, as my master says."
B’midbar 32:28 So Moshe gave orders concerning them to El`azar the kohen, Y'hoshua the son of Nun and the clan leaders of the tribes of the people of Yisra’el.
B’midbar 32:29 Moshe said to them, "If the descendants of Gad and of Re'uven cross over the Yarden with you, every man armed for battle, before YHVH; and if the land is conquered before you, then you are to give them the land of Gil`ad as theirs to possess.
B’midbar 32:30 But if they do not cross with you armed, they are to possess land along with you in Kena`an."
B’midbar 32:31 The descendants of Gad and of Re'uven answered, "We will do as YHVH has said to your servants.
B’midbar 32:32 We will cross over into the land of Kena`an armed before YHVH, and the land we will possess for inheritance will be on this side of the Yarden."
B’midbar 32:33 So Moshe gave the descendants of Gad and of Re'uven, and also to the half-tribe of M'nasheh the son of Yosef, the kingdom of Sichon king of the Emori and the kingdom of `Og king of Bashan — the country and its cities within its borders, along with their surrounding towns.
B’midbar 32:34 The descendants of Gad built Divon, `Atarot, `Aro`er,
B’midbar 32:35 `Atrot-Shofan, Ya`zer, Yogbehah,
B’midbar 32:36 Beit-Nimrah and Beit-Haran — fortified cities; and also enclosures for sheep.
B’midbar 32:37 The descendants of Re'uven built Heshbon, El`aleh, Kiryatayim,
B’midbar 32:38 N'vo, Ba`al-M`on (these names have been changed) and Sivmah; they renamed the cities they built.
B’midbar 32:39 The descendants of Machir the son of M'nasheh went to Gil`ad and conquered it, dispossessing the Emori who were there.
B’midbar 32:40 Moshe gave Gil`ad to Machir the son of M'nasheh, and he lived in it.
B’midbar 32:41 Ya'ir the son of M'nasheh went and captured its villages and called them Havot-Ya'ir [villages of Ya'ir].
B’midbar 32:42 Novach went and captured K'nat with its villages and named it Novach after himself.
B’midbar 33:1 These are the stages in the journey of the people of Yisra’el as they left the land of Mitsrayim divided into groups under the leadership of Moshe and Aharon.
B’midbar 33:2 Moshe recorded each of the stages of their journey by order of YHVH ; here are the starting-points of each stage:
B’midbar 33:3 They began their journey from Ram'ses in the first month. On the fifteenth day of the first month, the morning after the Pesach, the people of Yisra’el left proudly in view of all the Mitsrites;
B’midbar 33:4 while the Mitsrites were burying those among them whom YHVH had killed, all their firstborn; YHVH had also executed judgment on their gods.
B’midbar 33:5 The people of Yisra’el moved on from Ram'ses and camped at Sukkot.
B’midbar 33:6 They moved on from Sukkot and camped at Etam, by the edge of the desert.
B’midbar 33:7 They moved on from Etam and turned back to Pi-Hachirot, in front of Ba`al-Tz'fon, and camped before Migdol.
B’midbar 33:8 They moved on from P'nei-Hachirot, passed through the sea to the desert, continued three days' journey into the Etam Desert and camped at Marah.
B’midbar 33:9 They moved on from Marah and came to Eilim; in Eilim were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, so they camped there.
B’midbar 33:10 They moved on from Eilim and camped by the Yam Suf.
B’midbar 33:11 They moved on from the Yam Suf and camped in the Seen Desert.
B’midbar 33:12 They moved on from the Seen Desert and camped at Dofkah.
B’midbar 33:13 They moved on from Dofkah and camped at Alush.
B’midbar 33:14 They moved on from Alush and camped at Refidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.
B’midbar 33:15 They moved on from Refidim and camped in the Sinai Desert.
B’midbar 33:16 They moved on from the Sinai Desert and camped at Kivrot-HaTa'avah.
B’midbar 33:17 They moved on from Kivrot-HaTa'avah and camped in Hatzerot.
B’midbar 33:18 They moved on from Hatzerot and camped at Ritmah.
B’midbar 33:19 They moved on from Ritmah and camped at Rimmon-Peretz.
B’midbar 33:20 They moved on from Rimmon-Peretz and camped at Livnah.
B’midbar 33:21 They moved on from Livnah and camped at Rissah.
B’midbar 33:22 They moved on from Rissah and camped at K'helah.
B’midbar 33:23 They moved on from K'helah and camped at Har Shefer.
B’midbar 33:24 They moved on from Har Shefer and camped at Haradah.
B’midbar 33:25 They moved on from Haradah and camped at Mak'helot.
B’midbar 33:26 They moved on from Mak'helot and camped at Tachat.
B’midbar 33:27 They moved on from Tachat and camped at Terach.
B’midbar 33:28 They moved on from Terach and camped at Mitkah.
B’midbar 33:29 They moved on from Mitkah and camped at HaShmonah.
B’midbar 33:30 They moved on from HaShmonah and camped at Moserot.
B’midbar 33:31 They moved on from Moserot and camped at B'nei-Ya`akan.
B’midbar 33:32 They moved on from B'nei-Ya`akan and camped at Hor-HaGidgad.
B’midbar 33:33 They moved on from Hor-HaGidgad and camped at Yotvatah.
B’midbar 33:34 They moved on from Yotvatah and camped at Avronah.
B’midbar 33:35 They moved on from Avronah and camped at `Etzyon-Gever.
B’midbar 33:36 They moved on from `Etzyon-Gever and camped in the Tzin Desert, that is, Kadesh.
B’midbar 33:37 They moved on from Kadesh and camped at Har Hor, at the border of the land of Edom.
B’midbar 33:38 At YHVH's order Aharon the kohen went up on Har Hor, and he died there on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year after the people of Yisra’el had left the land of Mitsrayim.
B’midbar 33:39 Aharon was 123 years old when he died on Har Hor.
B’midbar 33:40 The Kena`ani king of `Arad, who lived in the Negev in the land of Kena`an, had heard that the people of Yisra’el were coming;
B’midbar 33:41 so they moved on from Har Hor and camped at Tzalmonah.
B’midbar 33:42 They moved on from Tzalmonah and camped at Punon.
B’midbar 33:43 They moved on from Punon and camped at Ovot.
B’midbar 33:44 They moved on from Ovot and camped at 'Iyei-Ha`Avarim, by the border of Mo'av.
B’midbar 33:45 They moved on from `Iyim and camped at Divon-Gad.
B’midbar 33:46 They moved on from Divon-Gad and camped at `Almon-Divlatayim.
B’midbar 33:47 They moved on from `Almon-Divlatayim and camped in the `Avarim Range, in front of N'vo.
B’midbar 33:48 They moved on from the `Avarim Range and camped in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden, across from Yericho.
B’midbar 33:49 Their camp by the Yarden extended from Beit-HaYeshimot all the way to Avel-HaSheetim in the plains of Mo'av.
B’midbar 33:50 YHVH spoke to Moshe in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden, across from Yericho. He said
B’midbar 33:51 to tell the people of Yisra’el, "When you cross the Yarden into the land of Kena`an,
B’midbar 33:52 you are to expel all the people living in the land from in front of you. Destroy all their stone figures, destroy all their metal statues and demolish all their high places.
B’midbar 33:53 Drive out the inhabitants of the land, and live in it, for I have given the land to you to possess.
B’midbar 33:54 You will inherit the land by lot according to your families. You are to give more land to the larger families and less to the smaller ones. Wherever the lot falls to any particular person, that will be his property. You will inherit according to the tribes of your ancestors.
B’midbar 33:55 But if you don't drive out the inhabitants of the land from in front of you, then those you allow to remain will become like thorns in your eyes and stings in your sides — they will harass you in the land where you are living.
B’midbar 33:56 And in this event, I will do to you what I intended to do to them."
B’midbar 34:1 YHVH told Moshe
B’midbar 34:2 to give this order to the people of Yisra’el: "When you enter the land of Kena`an, it will become your land to pass on as an inheritance, the land of Kena`an as defined by these borders.
B’midbar 34:3 "Your southern portion will extend from the Tzin Desert close to the border of Edom. The eastern terminus of your southern border is at the end of the Dead Sea.
B’midbar 34:4 From there your border turns, goes south of the `Akrabbim Ascent and passes on to Tzin. From there it goes south of Kadesh-Barnea, on to Hatzar-Adar, and on to `Atzmon.
B’midbar 34:5 Then the border turns and goes from `Atzmon to the Vadi of Mitsrayim and along it to the Sea.
B’midbar 34:6 "Your western border will be the Great Sea.
B’midbar 34:7 "Your northern border will be as follows: from the Great Sea mark a line to Har Hor,
B’midbar 34:8 and from Har Hor mark a line to the entrance of Hamat. The border goes out to Tz'dad.
B’midbar 34:9 Then the border goes to Zifron and finally to Hatzar-`Einan; this is your northern border.
B’midbar 34:10 "For the eastern border mark your line from Hatzar-`Einan to Sh'fam.
B’midbar 34:11 Then the border goes down from Sh'fam to Rivlah, on the east side of `Ayin, then down until it hits the slope east of Lake Kinneret.
B’midbar 34:12 From there it goes down the Yarden River till it flows into the Dead Sea. These will be the borders of your land."
B’midbar 34:13 Moshe gave this order to the people of Yisra’el: "This is the land in which you will receive inheritances by lot, which YHVH has ordered to give to the nine tribes and the half-tribe.
B’midbar 34:14 The tribe of the descendants of Re'uven have already received their land for inheritance according to their clans, and so have the descendants of Gad and the half-tribe of M'nasheh.
B’midbar 34:15 These two-and-a-half tribes have received their inheritance on this side of the Yarden, across from Yericho and eastward, toward the sunrise."
B’midbar 34:16 YHVH said to Moshe,
B’midbar 34:17 "These are the names of the men who will take possession of the land for you: El`azar the kohen and Y'hoshua the son of Nun.
B’midbar 34:18 Also appoint one leader from each tribe to take possession of the land.
B’midbar 34:19 The names of these men are: from the tribe of Y'hudah, Kalev the son of Y'funeh;
B’midbar 34:20 from the tribe of the descendants of Shim`on, Sh'mu'el the son of `Ammihud;
B’midbar 34:21 from the tribe of Binyamin, Elidad the son of Kislon;
B’midbar 34:22 from the tribe of the descendants of Dan, a leader, Buki the son of Yogli;
B’midbar 34:23 from the descendants of Yosef: from the tribe of the descendants of M'nasheh, a leader, Hani'el the son of Efod;
B’midbar 34:24 from the tribe of the descendants of Efrayim, a leader, K'mu'el the son of Shiftan;
B’midbar 34:25 from the tribe of the descendants of Z'vulun, a leader, Elitzafan the son of Parnakh;
B’midbar 34:26 from the tribe of the descendants of Yissakhar, a leader, Palti'el the son of `Azan;
B’midbar 34:27 from the tribe of the descendants of Asher, a leader, Achihud the son of Shlomi;
B’midbar 34:28 from the tribe of the descendants of Naftali, a leader, P'dah'el the son of `Ammihud."
B’midbar 34:29 These are the ones whom YHVH ordered to divide the inheritance among the people of Yisra’el in the land of Kena`an.
B’midbar 35:1 In the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden, across from Yericho, YHVH said to Moshe,
B’midbar 35:2 "Order the people of Yisra’el to give to the L'vi'im cities to live in from the heritage they will possess, and you are also to give the L'vi'im some of the open land surrounding the cities.
B’midbar 35:3 They are to have the cities to live in, while their open land will be for their livestock, for growing crops and for all their animals.
B’midbar 35:4 The open land around the cities you give to the L'vi'im is to commence at a line drawn around the city wall 1,500 feet outside it and is to extend outward from there.
B’midbar 35:5 Measure 3,000 feet outward from the city wall to the east, south, west and north, with the city in the center. The space between the 1,500-foot line and the 3,000-foot line will be their open land around the cities.
B’midbar 35:6 The cities you give to the L'vi'im are to be the six cities of refuge to which you permit the person who kills someone to flee to; plus an additional forty-two cities.
B’midbar 35:7 Thus you will give the L'vi'im forty-eight cities, with their surrounding open land.
B’midbar 35:8 As to the cities you will give from those the people of Yisra’el possess, from the many you will take many, and from the few you will take few — each tribe will contribute from its cities to the L'vi'im in accordance with the size of its inheritance."
B’midbar 35:9 YHVH said to Moshe,
B’midbar 35:10 "Tell the people of Yisra’el, 'When you cross the Yarden into the land of Kena`an,
B’midbar 35:11 you are to designate for yourselves cities that will be cities of refuge for you, to which anyone who kills someone by mistake can flee.
B’midbar 35:12 These cities are to be a refuge for you from the dead person's next-of-kin, who might otherwise avenge his kinsman's death by slaying the killer prior to his standing trial before the community.
B’midbar 35:13 In regard to the cities you are to give, there are to be six cities of refuge for you.
B’midbar 35:14 You are to give three cities east of the Yarden and three cities in the land of Kena`an; they will be cities of refuge.
B’midbar 35:15 These six cities will serve as refuge for the people of Yisra’el, as well as for the foreigner and resident alien with them; so that anyone who kills someone by mistake may flee there.
B’midbar 35:16 " 'However, if he hits him with an iron implement and thus causes his death, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.
B’midbar 35:17 Or if he hits him with a stone in his hand big enough to kill someone, and he dies, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.
B’midbar 35:18 Or if he hits him with a wood utensil in his hand capable of killing someone, and he dies, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.
B’midbar 35:19 The next-of-kin avenger is to put the murderer to death himself — upon meeting him, he is to put him to death.
B’midbar 35:20 Likewise, if he shoves him out of hatred; or intentionally throws something at him, causing his death;
B’midbar 35:21 or out of hostility strikes him with his hand, so that he dies; then the one who struck him must be put to death; he is a murderer; and the next-of-kin avenger is to put the murderer to death upon meeting him.
B’midbar 35:22 " 'But suppose he shoves him suddenly, but without hostility; or he throws something at him unintentionally;
B’midbar 35:23 or, without seeing him, being his enemy or seeking to harm him, he throws a stone big enough to cause death; and the person dies.
B’midbar 35:24 Then the community is to judge between the one who struck him and the next-of-kin avenger in accordance with these rules;
B’midbar 35:25 and the community is to save the killer from the next-of-kin avenger. The community is to return him to the city of refuge to which he fled, and he is to live there until the kohen hagadol, who was anointed with the kadosh oil, dies.
B’midbar 35:26 But if the killer ever goes beyond the limits of the city of refuge he fled to,
B’midbar 35:27 and the next-of-kin avenger finds him outside the limits of his city of refuge, and the avenger kills the killer, he will not be guilty of the man's blood;
B’midbar 35:28 because he must stay in his city of refuge until the death of the kohen hagadol. But after the death of the kohen hagadol the killer may return to the land he owns.
B’midbar 35:29 These things shall constitute your standard for judgment through all your generations, wherever you live.
B’midbar 35:30 " 'If anyone kills someone, the murderer is to be put to death upon the testimony of witnesses; but the testimony of only one witness will not suffice to cause a person to be put to death.
B’midbar 35:31 Also, you are not to accept a ransom in lieu of the life of a murderer condemned to death; rather, he must be put to death.
B’midbar 35:32 Likewise, you are not to accept for someone who has fled to his city of refuge a ransom that would allow him to return to his land before the death of the kohen.
B’midbar 35:33 In this way you will not defile the land in which you are living. For blood defiles the land, and in this land no atonement can be made for the blood shed in it except the blood of him who shed it.
B’midbar 35:34 No, you are not to defile the land in which you live and in which I live; for I, YHVH, live among the people of Yisra’el.' "
B’midbar 36:1 The leaders of the clans of the family of the descendants of Gil`ad, the son of Machir, the son of M'nasheh, of the families of the descendants of Yosef, approached and addressed Moshe and the leaders, the heads of the clans of the people of Yisra’el.
B’midbar 36:2 They said, "YHVH ordered my master to give by lot the land to be inherited by the people of Yisra’el, and my master was ordered by YHVH to give the inheritance of our kinsman Tz'lof'chad to his daughters.
B’midbar 36:3 But if they get married to anyone belonging to another of the tribes of the people of Yisra’el, then their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of our ancestors and be added to the inheritance of the tribe they will then belong to; thus it will be taken away from the sum total of our inheritance.
B’midbar 36:4 And when the yovel of the people of Yisra’el comes, their inheritance will be added to the land possessed by the tribe they will then belong to and be subtracted from the inheritance belonging to the tribe of our ancestors."
B’midbar 36:5 Moshe gave this order to the people of Yisra’el, in keeping with the word of YHVH : "The tribe of the descendants of Yosef is right in what it says.
B’midbar 36:6 Here is what YHVH has ordered concerning the daughters of Tz'lof'chad: 'Let them be married to whomever they think best, but they must marry only into a family from their father's tribe.
B’midbar 36:7 In this way no inheritance of the people of Yisra’el will move from one tribe to another; for each of the people of Yisra’el is to hold on to the land for inheritance belonging to his father's tribe.
B’midbar 36:8 Every daughter who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the people of Yisra’el is to become the wife of someone from the family of her father's tribe, so that every one of the people of Yisra’el will stay in possession of his ancestors' inheritance.
B’midbar 36:9 Thus no inheritance will move from one tribe to another, for each of the tribes of the people of Yisra’el will hold on to its own inheritance."
B’midbar 36:10 The daughters of Tz'lof'chad did as YHVH had ordered Moshe.
B’midbar 36:11 Machlah, Tirtzah, Hoglah, Milkah and No`ah all got married to sons of their father's brothers.
B’midbar 36:12 They were married into the families of the descendants of M'nasheh the son of Yosef, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of their father's family.
B’midbar 36:13 These are the mitzvot and rulings which YHVH gave through Moshe to the people of Yisra’el in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden, across from Yericho.
B’midbar 30:1 (30:2) Then Moshe spoke to the heads of the tribes of the people of Yisra’el. He said, "Here is what YHVH has ordered:
B’midbar 30:2 (30:3) when a man makes a vow to YHVH or formally obligates himself by swearing an oath, he is not to break his word but is to do everything he said he would do.
B’midbar 30:3 (30:4) "When a woman makes a vow to YHVH, formally obligating herself, while she is a minor living in her father's house;
B’midbar 30:4 (30:5) then, if her father has heard what she vowed or obligated herself to do and holds his peace, then all her vows remain binding — every obligation she has bound herself to will stand.
B’midbar 30:5 (30:6) But if on the day her father hears it, he expresses his disapproval, then none of her vows or obligations she has bound herself to will stand; and YHVH will forgive her, because her father expressed his disapproval.
B’midbar 30:6 (30:7) "If, having made vows or rashly committed herself to an obligation, she gets married;
B’midbar 30:7 (30:8) and her husband hears but holds his peace with her on the day he learns of it, then her vows and obligations she has bound herself to will stand.
B’midbar 30:8 (30:9) But if her husband expresses his disapproval on the day he hears it, he will void the vow which is on her and the obligation to which she has bound herself; and YHVH will forgive her.
B’midbar 30:9 (30:10) "The vow of a widow, however, or of a divorcee, including everything to which she has obligated herself, will stand against her.
B’midbar 30:10 (30:11) "If a woman vowed in her husband's house or obligated herself with an oath;
B’midbar 30:11 (30:12) and her husband heard it but held his peace with her and did not express disapproval, then all her vows and obligations will stand.
B’midbar 30:12 (30:13) But if her husband makes them null and void on the day he hears them, then whatever she said, vows or binding obligation, will not stand; her husband has voided them; and YHVH will forgive her.
B’midbar 30:13 (30:14) Her husband may let every vow and every binding obligation stand, or he may void it.
B’midbar 30:14 (30:15) But if her husband entirely holds his peace with her day after day, then he confirms all her vows and obligations; he must let them stand, because he held his peace with her on the day he heard them.
B’midbar 30:15 (30:16) If he makes them null and void after he has heard them, then he will bear the consequent guilt."
B’midbar 30:16 (30:17) These are the laws which YHVH ordered Moshe between a man and his wife, and between a father and his daughter, if she is a minor living in her father's house.
B’midbar 31:1 YHVH said to Moshe,
B’midbar 31:2 "On behalf of the people of Yisra’el, take vengeance on the Midyanim. After that, you will be gathered to your people."
B’midbar 31:3 Moshe said to the people, "Equip men from among yourselves for war. They are to go and fight Midyan, in order to carry out YHVH's vengeance on Midyan.
B’midbar 31:4 You are to send to the war a thousand men from every one of Yisra’el's tribes."
B’midbar 31:5 So out of the thousands of people in Yisra’el, a thousand armed men from each tribe, 12,000 altogether, were mustered for war.
B’midbar 31:6 Moshe sent them, a thousand from each tribe, to the war; he sent them and Pinchas the son of El`azar the kohen to the war, with the kadosh utensils and the trumpets for sounding the alarm in his care.
B’midbar 31:7 They fought against Midyan, as YHVH had ordered Moshe, and killed every male.
B’midbar 31:8 They killed the kings of Midyan along with the others who were slain — Evi, Rekem, Tzur, Hur and Reva, the five kings of Midyan. They also killed Bil`am the son of B`or with the sword.
B’midbar 31:9 The people of Yisra’el took captive the women of Midyan and their little ones, and they took as booty all their cattle, flocks and other goods.
B’midbar 31:10 They set fire to all their cities in the areas where they lived and all their camps.
B’midbar 31:11 They took all the booty, all the people and animals they had captured,
B’midbar 31:12 and brought the captives, booty and spoil to Moshe, El`azar the kohen and the community of Yisra’el in the camp on the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden across from Yericho.
B’midbar 31:13 Moshe, El`azar the kohen and all the community leaders went to meet them outside the camp.
B’midbar 31:14 But Moshe was angry with the army officers, the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds coming in from the battlefield.
B’midbar 31:15 Moshe asked them, "You let the women live?
B’midbar 31:16 Why, these are the ones who — because of Bil`am's advice — caused the people of Yisra’el to rebel, breaking faith with YHVH in the P`or incident, so that the plague broke out among YHVH's community!
B’midbar 31:17 Now kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has ever slept with a man.
B’midbar 31:18 But the young girls who have never slept with a man, keep alive for yourselves.
B’midbar 31:19 Pitch your tents outside the camp for seven days. Whoever has killed a person or touched the corpse of someone slain, purify yourselves on the third and seventh days, you and your captives.
B’midbar 31:20 Also purify every garment, whether of skin or goat's hair, and everything made of wood."
B’midbar 31:21 El`azar the kohen said to the soldiers who had gone to the front, "This is the regulation from the Torah which YHVH has ordered Moshe.
B’midbar 31:22 Even though gold, silver, brass, iron, tin and lead
B’midbar 31:23 can all withstand fire, so that you are indeed to purify everything made of these materials by having them pass through fire; nevertheless they must also be purified with the water for purification. Everything that can't withstand fire you are to have go through the water.
B’midbar 31:24 On the seventh day you are to wash your clothes, and you will be clean; after that you may enter the camp."
B’midbar 31:25 YHVH said to Moshe,
B’midbar 31:26 "Take all the booty, both people and animals, you, El`azar the kohen and the leaders of clans in the community;
B’midbar 31:27 and divide the booty into two parts: half for the experienced soldiers who went out to battle, and half for the rest of the community.
B’midbar 31:28 From the portion of the soldiers who went out to battle, levy a tax for YHVH consisting of one-five-hundredth of the persons, cattle, donkeys and sheep;
B’midbar 31:29 take it from their half and give it to El`azar the kohen as a portion set apart for YHVH.
B’midbar 31:30 From the half that goes to the people of Yisra’el, you are to take one-fiftieth of the persons, and of the cattle, donkeys and sheep, that is, of all the livestock; and give them to the L'vi'im taking care of the tabernacle of YHVH."
B’midbar 31:31 Moshe and El`azar the kohen did as YHVH had ordered Moshe.
B’midbar 31:32 The booty, over and above the portion which the soldiers took, came to 675,000 sheep,
B’midbar 31:33 72,000 cattle,
B’midbar 31:34 61,000 donkeys,
B’midbar 31:35 and 32,000 persons in all, consisting of the women who had never slept with a man.
B’midbar 31:36 The half which was the portion of the soldiers who went out to fight, numbered 337,500 sheep,
B’midbar 31:37 of which YHVH's tribute was 675;
B’midbar 31:38 36,000 cattle, of which YHVH's tribute was seventy-two;
B’midbar 31:39 30,500 donkeys, of which YHVH's tribute was sixty-one;
B’midbar 31:40 and 16,000 persons, of whom YHVH's tribute was thirty-two persons.
B’midbar 31:41 Moshe gave the tribute set apart for YHVH to El`azar the kohen, as YHVH had ordered Moshe.
B’midbar 31:42 From the half that went to people of Yisra’el, which Moshe separated from that of the men who had gone to fight —
B’midbar 31:43 now the community's half consisted of 337,500 sheep,
B’midbar 31:44 36,000 cattle,
B’midbar 31:45 30,500 donkeys
B’midbar 31:46 and 16,000 persons —
B’midbar 31:47 from the people of Yisra’el's half, Moshe took one-fiftieth of the persons and animals and gave them to the L'vi'im taking care of the tabernacle of YHVH, as YHVH had ordered Moshe.
B’midbar 31:48 The officers in charge of the thousands who fought, the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds, approached Moshe
B’midbar 31:49 and said to him, "Your servants have counted all the soldiers under our command, and not one of us is missing.
B’midbar 31:50 We have brought an offering for YHVH, what every man has obtained in the way of gold jewelry — armlets, bracelets, signet rings, earrings and belts — to make atonement for ourselves before YHVH."
B’midbar 31:51 Moshe and El`azar the kohen accepted their gold, all the jewelry.
B’midbar 31:52 All the gold in this gift which the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds set apart for YHVH weighed 420 pounds.
B’midbar 31:53 For the soldiers had taken booty, every man for himself.
B’midbar 31:54 Moshe and El`azar the kohen took the gold from the commanders of thousands and of hundreds and brought it into the tent of meeting as a reminder for the people of Yisra’el before YHVH.
B’midbar 32:1 The descendants of Re'uven and the descendants of Gad had vast quantities of livestock. When they saw that the land of Ya`zer and the land of Gil`ad were good for livestock,
B’midbar 32:2 the descendants of Gad and of Re'uven came and spoke to Moshe, El`azar the kohen and the community leaders. They said,
B’midbar 32:3 " `Atarot, Divon, Ya`zer, Nimrah, Heshbon, El`aleh, S'vam, N'vo and Be`on,
B’midbar 32:4 the country that YHVH conquered before the community of Yisra’el, is livestock country; and your servants have livestock.
B’midbar 32:5 If you regard us favorably," they went on, "let this land be given to your servants as their possession; and don't have us cross the Yarden."
B’midbar 32:6 Moshe answered the descendants of Gad and of Re'uven: "Are your brothers to go to war while you stay here?
B’midbar 32:7 Besides, why are you trying to discourage the people of Yisra’el from crossing into the land YHVH gave them?
B’midbar 32:8 This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh-Barnea to see the land.
B’midbar 32:9 For when they went up to the Eshkol Valley and saw the land, they disheartened the people of Yisra’el, so that they wouldn't enter the land YHVH had given them.
B’midbar 32:10 YHVH's anger blazed up on that day; and he swore,
B’midbar 32:11 'None of the people aged twenty or more who came out of Mitsrayim will see the land I swore to Avraham, Yitz'chak and Ya`akov; because they haven't followed me unreservedly —
B’midbar 32:12 except Kalev the son of Y'funeh the K'nizi and Y'hoshua the son of Nun, because they have followed YHVH unreservedly.'
B’midbar 32:13 Thus YHVH's anger blazed against Yisra’el, so that he made them wander here and there in the desert forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of YHVH had died out.
B’midbar 32:14 Now you, another brood of sinners, have arisen in your fathers' place to increase still more the fierce anger of YHVH toward Yisra’el!
B’midbar 32:15 For if you turn away from him, he will leave them in the desert again, and thus you will cause the destruction of all these people!"
B’midbar 32:16 But they came up to him and said, "Here we will build enclosures for our livestock and cities for our little ones,
B’midbar 32:17 but we ourselves will be armed and ready for action to march at the head of the people of Yisra’el, until we have brought them to their place. Our little ones will stay in the fortified cities here because of the people now living in the land.
B’midbar 32:18 However, we will not return to our own homes until every man in Yisra’el has taken possession of his land for inheritance.
B’midbar 32:19 We will not have an inheritance with them on the other side of the Yarden, westward; because our inheritance has fallen to us on this side of the Yarden, eastward."
B’midbar 32:20 Moshe said to them, "If you will do this — if you will arm yourselves to go before YHVH to the war,
B’midbar 32:21 and if every one of your soldiers will cross the Yarden before YHVH, until he has driven out his enemies ahead of him,
B’midbar 32:22 and if the land has been conquered before YHVH, and only after that do you return — then you will be clear before YHVH and before Yisra’el, and this land here will be yours to possess before YHVH.
B’midbar 32:23 But if you will not do this, then you have sinned against YHVH, and you must understand that your sin will find you out.
B’midbar 32:24 Build cities for your little ones and enclosures for your sheep; then do what you said you would do."
B’midbar 32:25 The descendants of Gad and the descendants of Re'uven said to Moshe, "Your servants will do as my master orders.
B’midbar 32:26 Our little ones, wives, flocks and all our livestock will be there in the cities of Gil`ad;
B’midbar 32:27 but your servants will cross over, every man armed for war, before YHVH to do battle, as my master says."
B’midbar 32:28 So Moshe gave orders concerning them to El`azar the kohen, Y'hoshua the son of Nun and the clan leaders of the tribes of the people of Yisra’el.
B’midbar 32:29 Moshe said to them, "If the descendants of Gad and of Re'uven cross over the Yarden with you, every man armed for battle, before YHVH; and if the land is conquered before you, then you are to give them the land of Gil`ad as theirs to possess.
B’midbar 32:30 But if they do not cross with you armed, they are to possess land along with you in Kena`an."
B’midbar 32:31 The descendants of Gad and of Re'uven answered, "We will do as YHVH has said to your servants.
B’midbar 32:32 We will cross over into the land of Kena`an armed before YHVH, and the land we will possess for inheritance will be on this side of the Yarden."
B’midbar 32:33 So Moshe gave the descendants of Gad and of Re'uven, and also to the half-tribe of M'nasheh the son of Yosef, the kingdom of Sichon king of the Emori and the kingdom of `Og king of Bashan — the country and its cities within its borders, along with their surrounding towns.
B’midbar 32:34 The descendants of Gad built Divon, `Atarot, `Aro`er,
B’midbar 32:35 `Atrot-Shofan, Ya`zer, Yogbehah,
B’midbar 32:36 Beit-Nimrah and Beit-Haran — fortified cities; and also enclosures for sheep.
B’midbar 32:37 The descendants of Re'uven built Heshbon, El`aleh, Kiryatayim,
B’midbar 32:38 N'vo, Ba`al-M`on (these names have been changed) and Sivmah; they renamed the cities they built.
B’midbar 32:39 The descendants of Machir the son of M'nasheh went to Gil`ad and conquered it, dispossessing the Emori who were there.
B’midbar 32:40 Moshe gave Gil`ad to Machir the son of M'nasheh, and he lived in it.
B’midbar 32:41 Ya'ir the son of M'nasheh went and captured its villages and called them Havot-Ya'ir [villages of Ya'ir].
B’midbar 32:42 Novach went and captured K'nat with its villages and named it Novach after himself.
B’midbar 33:1 These are the stages in the journey of the people of Yisra’el as they left the land of Mitsrayim divided into groups under the leadership of Moshe and Aharon.
B’midbar 33:2 Moshe recorded each of the stages of their journey by order of YHVH ; here are the starting-points of each stage:
B’midbar 33:3 They began their journey from Ram'ses in the first month. On the fifteenth day of the first month, the morning after the Pesach, the people of Yisra’el left proudly in view of all the Mitsrites;
B’midbar 33:4 while the Mitsrites were burying those among them whom YHVH had killed, all their firstborn; YHVH had also executed judgment on their gods.
B’midbar 33:5 The people of Yisra’el moved on from Ram'ses and camped at Sukkot.
B’midbar 33:6 They moved on from Sukkot and camped at Etam, by the edge of the desert.
B’midbar 33:7 They moved on from Etam and turned back to Pi-Hachirot, in front of Ba`al-Tz'fon, and camped before Migdol.
B’midbar 33:8 They moved on from P'nei-Hachirot, passed through the sea to the desert, continued three days' journey into the Etam Desert and camped at Marah.
B’midbar 33:9 They moved on from Marah and came to Eilim; in Eilim were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, so they camped there.
B’midbar 33:10 They moved on from Eilim and camped by the Yam Suf.
B’midbar 33:11 They moved on from the Yam Suf and camped in the Seen Desert.
B’midbar 33:12 They moved on from the Seen Desert and camped at Dofkah.
B’midbar 33:13 They moved on from Dofkah and camped at Alush.
B’midbar 33:14 They moved on from Alush and camped at Refidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.
B’midbar 33:15 They moved on from Refidim and camped in the Sinai Desert.
B’midbar 33:16 They moved on from the Sinai Desert and camped at Kivrot-HaTa'avah.
B’midbar 33:17 They moved on from Kivrot-HaTa'avah and camped in Hatzerot.
B’midbar 33:18 They moved on from Hatzerot and camped at Ritmah.
B’midbar 33:19 They moved on from Ritmah and camped at Rimmon-Peretz.
B’midbar 33:20 They moved on from Rimmon-Peretz and camped at Livnah.
B’midbar 33:21 They moved on from Livnah and camped at Rissah.
B’midbar 33:22 They moved on from Rissah and camped at K'helah.
B’midbar 33:23 They moved on from K'helah and camped at Har Shefer.
B’midbar 33:24 They moved on from Har Shefer and camped at Haradah.
B’midbar 33:25 They moved on from Haradah and camped at Mak'helot.
B’midbar 33:26 They moved on from Mak'helot and camped at Tachat.
B’midbar 33:27 They moved on from Tachat and camped at Terach.
B’midbar 33:28 They moved on from Terach and camped at Mitkah.
B’midbar 33:29 They moved on from Mitkah and camped at HaShmonah.
B’midbar 33:30 They moved on from HaShmonah and camped at Moserot.
B’midbar 33:31 They moved on from Moserot and camped at B'nei-Ya`akan.
B’midbar 33:32 They moved on from B'nei-Ya`akan and camped at Hor-HaGidgad.
B’midbar 33:33 They moved on from Hor-HaGidgad and camped at Yotvatah.
B’midbar 33:34 They moved on from Yotvatah and camped at Avronah.
B’midbar 33:35 They moved on from Avronah and camped at `Etzyon-Gever.
B’midbar 33:36 They moved on from `Etzyon-Gever and camped in the Tzin Desert, that is, Kadesh.
B’midbar 33:37 They moved on from Kadesh and camped at Har Hor, at the border of the land of Edom.
B’midbar 33:38 At YHVH's order Aharon the kohen went up on Har Hor, and he died there on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year after the people of Yisra’el had left the land of Mitsrayim.
B’midbar 33:39 Aharon was 123 years old when he died on Har Hor.
B’midbar 33:40 The Kena`ani king of `Arad, who lived in the Negev in the land of Kena`an, had heard that the people of Yisra’el were coming;
B’midbar 33:41 so they moved on from Har Hor and camped at Tzalmonah.
B’midbar 33:42 They moved on from Tzalmonah and camped at Punon.
B’midbar 33:43 They moved on from Punon and camped at Ovot.
B’midbar 33:44 They moved on from Ovot and camped at 'Iyei-Ha`Avarim, by the border of Mo'av.
B’midbar 33:45 They moved on from `Iyim and camped at Divon-Gad.
B’midbar 33:46 They moved on from Divon-Gad and camped at `Almon-Divlatayim.
B’midbar 33:47 They moved on from `Almon-Divlatayim and camped in the `Avarim Range, in front of N'vo.
B’midbar 33:48 They moved on from the `Avarim Range and camped in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden, across from Yericho.
B’midbar 33:49 Their camp by the Yarden extended from Beit-HaYeshimot all the way to Avel-HaSheetim in the plains of Mo'av.
B’midbar 33:50 YHVH spoke to Moshe in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden, across from Yericho. He said
B’midbar 33:51 to tell the people of Yisra’el, "When you cross the Yarden into the land of Kena`an,
B’midbar 33:52 you are to expel all the people living in the land from in front of you. Destroy all their stone figures, destroy all their metal statues and demolish all their high places.
B’midbar 33:53 Drive out the inhabitants of the land, and live in it, for I have given the land to you to possess.
B’midbar 33:54 You will inherit the land by lot according to your families. You are to give more land to the larger families and less to the smaller ones. Wherever the lot falls to any particular person, that will be his property. You will inherit according to the tribes of your ancestors.
B’midbar 33:55 But if you don't drive out the inhabitants of the land from in front of you, then those you allow to remain will become like thorns in your eyes and stings in your sides — they will harass you in the land where you are living.
B’midbar 33:56 And in this event, I will do to you what I intended to do to them."
B’midbar 34:1 YHVH told Moshe
B’midbar 34:2 to give this order to the people of Yisra’el: "When you enter the land of Kena`an, it will become your land to pass on as an inheritance, the land of Kena`an as defined by these borders.
B’midbar 34:3 "Your southern portion will extend from the Tzin Desert close to the border of Edom. The eastern terminus of your southern border is at the end of the Dead Sea.
B’midbar 34:4 From there your border turns, goes south of the `Akrabbim Ascent and passes on to Tzin. From there it goes south of Kadesh-Barnea, on to Hatzar-Adar, and on to `Atzmon.
B’midbar 34:5 Then the border turns and goes from `Atzmon to the Vadi of Mitsrayim and along it to the Sea.
B’midbar 34:6 "Your western border will be the Great Sea.
B’midbar 34:7 "Your northern border will be as follows: from the Great Sea mark a line to Har Hor,
B’midbar 34:8 and from Har Hor mark a line to the entrance of Hamat. The border goes out to Tz'dad.
B’midbar 34:9 Then the border goes to Zifron and finally to Hatzar-`Einan; this is your northern border.
B’midbar 34:10 "For the eastern border mark your line from Hatzar-`Einan to Sh'fam.
B’midbar 34:11 Then the border goes down from Sh'fam to Rivlah, on the east side of `Ayin, then down until it hits the slope east of Lake Kinneret.
B’midbar 34:12 From there it goes down the Yarden River till it flows into the Dead Sea. These will be the borders of your land."
B’midbar 34:13 Moshe gave this order to the people of Yisra’el: "This is the land in which you will receive inheritances by lot, which YHVH has ordered to give to the nine tribes and the half-tribe.
B’midbar 34:14 The tribe of the descendants of Re'uven have already received their land for inheritance according to their clans, and so have the descendants of Gad and the half-tribe of M'nasheh.
B’midbar 34:15 These two-and-a-half tribes have received their inheritance on this side of the Yarden, across from Yericho and eastward, toward the sunrise."
B’midbar 34:16 YHVH said to Moshe,
B’midbar 34:17 "These are the names of the men who will take possession of the land for you: El`azar the kohen and Y'hoshua the son of Nun.
B’midbar 34:18 Also appoint one leader from each tribe to take possession of the land.
B’midbar 34:19 The names of these men are: from the tribe of Y'hudah, Kalev the son of Y'funeh;
B’midbar 34:20 from the tribe of the descendants of Shim`on, Sh'mu'el the son of `Ammihud;
B’midbar 34:21 from the tribe of Binyamin, Elidad the son of Kislon;
B’midbar 34:22 from the tribe of the descendants of Dan, a leader, Buki the son of Yogli;
B’midbar 34:23 from the descendants of Yosef: from the tribe of the descendants of M'nasheh, a leader, Hani'el the son of Efod;
B’midbar 34:24 from the tribe of the descendants of Efrayim, a leader, K'mu'el the son of Shiftan;
B’midbar 34:25 from the tribe of the descendants of Z'vulun, a leader, Elitzafan the son of Parnakh;
B’midbar 34:26 from the tribe of the descendants of Yissakhar, a leader, Palti'el the son of `Azan;
B’midbar 34:27 from the tribe of the descendants of Asher, a leader, Achihud the son of Shlomi;
B’midbar 34:28 from the tribe of the descendants of Naftali, a leader, P'dah'el the son of `Ammihud."
B’midbar 34:29 These are the ones whom YHVH ordered to divide the inheritance among the people of Yisra’el in the land of Kena`an.
B’midbar 35:1 In the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden, across from Yericho, YHVH said to Moshe,
B’midbar 35:2 "Order the people of Yisra’el to give to the L'vi'im cities to live in from the heritage they will possess, and you are also to give the L'vi'im some of the open land surrounding the cities.
B’midbar 35:3 They are to have the cities to live in, while their open land will be for their livestock, for growing crops and for all their animals.
B’midbar 35:4 The open land around the cities you give to the L'vi'im is to commence at a line drawn around the city wall 1,500 feet outside it and is to extend outward from there.
B’midbar 35:5 Measure 3,000 feet outward from the city wall to the east, south, west and north, with the city in the center. The space between the 1,500-foot line and the 3,000-foot line will be their open land around the cities.
B’midbar 35:6 The cities you give to the L'vi'im are to be the six cities of refuge to which you permit the person who kills someone to flee to; plus an additional forty-two cities.
B’midbar 35:7 Thus you will give the L'vi'im forty-eight cities, with their surrounding open land.
B’midbar 35:8 As to the cities you will give from those the people of Yisra’el possess, from the many you will take many, and from the few you will take few — each tribe will contribute from its cities to the L'vi'im in accordance with the size of its inheritance."
B’midbar 35:9 YHVH said to Moshe,
B’midbar 35:10 "Tell the people of Yisra’el, 'When you cross the Yarden into the land of Kena`an,
B’midbar 35:11 you are to designate for yourselves cities that will be cities of refuge for you, to which anyone who kills someone by mistake can flee.
B’midbar 35:12 These cities are to be a refuge for you from the dead person's next-of-kin, who might otherwise avenge his kinsman's death by slaying the killer prior to his standing trial before the community.
B’midbar 35:13 In regard to the cities you are to give, there are to be six cities of refuge for you.
B’midbar 35:14 You are to give three cities east of the Yarden and three cities in the land of Kena`an; they will be cities of refuge.
B’midbar 35:15 These six cities will serve as refuge for the people of Yisra’el, as well as for the foreigner and resident alien with them; so that anyone who kills someone by mistake may flee there.
B’midbar 35:16 " 'However, if he hits him with an iron implement and thus causes his death, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.
B’midbar 35:17 Or if he hits him with a stone in his hand big enough to kill someone, and he dies, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.
B’midbar 35:18 Or if he hits him with a wood utensil in his hand capable of killing someone, and he dies, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.
B’midbar 35:19 The next-of-kin avenger is to put the murderer to death himself — upon meeting him, he is to put him to death.
B’midbar 35:20 Likewise, if he shoves him out of hatred; or intentionally throws something at him, causing his death;
B’midbar 35:21 or out of hostility strikes him with his hand, so that he dies; then the one who struck him must be put to death; he is a murderer; and the next-of-kin avenger is to put the murderer to death upon meeting him.
B’midbar 35:22 " 'But suppose he shoves him suddenly, but without hostility; or he throws something at him unintentionally;
B’midbar 35:23 or, without seeing him, being his enemy or seeking to harm him, he throws a stone big enough to cause death; and the person dies.
B’midbar 35:24 Then the community is to judge between the one who struck him and the next-of-kin avenger in accordance with these rules;
B’midbar 35:25 and the community is to save the killer from the next-of-kin avenger. The community is to return him to the city of refuge to which he fled, and he is to live there until the kohen hagadol, who was anointed with the kadosh oil, dies.
B’midbar 35:26 But if the killer ever goes beyond the limits of the city of refuge he fled to,
B’midbar 35:27 and the next-of-kin avenger finds him outside the limits of his city of refuge, and the avenger kills the killer, he will not be guilty of the man's blood;
B’midbar 35:28 because he must stay in his city of refuge until the death of the kohen hagadol. But after the death of the kohen hagadol the killer may return to the land he owns.
B’midbar 35:29 These things shall constitute your standard for judgment through all your generations, wherever you live.
B’midbar 35:30 " 'If anyone kills someone, the murderer is to be put to death upon the testimony of witnesses; but the testimony of only one witness will not suffice to cause a person to be put to death.
B’midbar 35:31 Also, you are not to accept a ransom in lieu of the life of a murderer condemned to death; rather, he must be put to death.
B’midbar 35:32 Likewise, you are not to accept for someone who has fled to his city of refuge a ransom that would allow him to return to his land before the death of the kohen.
B’midbar 35:33 In this way you will not defile the land in which you are living. For blood defiles the land, and in this land no atonement can be made for the blood shed in it except the blood of him who shed it.
B’midbar 35:34 No, you are not to defile the land in which you live and in which I live; for I, YHVH, live among the people of Yisra’el.' "
B’midbar 36:1 The leaders of the clans of the family of the descendants of Gil`ad, the son of Machir, the son of M'nasheh, of the families of the descendants of Yosef, approached and addressed Moshe and the leaders, the heads of the clans of the people of Yisra’el.
B’midbar 36:2 They said, "YHVH ordered my master to give by lot the land to be inherited by the people of Yisra’el, and my master was ordered by YHVH to give the inheritance of our kinsman Tz'lof'chad to his daughters.
B’midbar 36:3 But if they get married to anyone belonging to another of the tribes of the people of Yisra’el, then their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of our ancestors and be added to the inheritance of the tribe they will then belong to; thus it will be taken away from the sum total of our inheritance.
B’midbar 36:4 And when the yovel of the people of Yisra’el comes, their inheritance will be added to the land possessed by the tribe they will then belong to and be subtracted from the inheritance belonging to the tribe of our ancestors."
B’midbar 36:5 Moshe gave this order to the people of Yisra’el, in keeping with the word of YHVH : "The tribe of the descendants of Yosef is right in what it says.
B’midbar 36:6 Here is what YHVH has ordered concerning the daughters of Tz'lof'chad: 'Let them be married to whomever they think best, but they must marry only into a family from their father's tribe.
B’midbar 36:7 In this way no inheritance of the people of Yisra’el will move from one tribe to another; for each of the people of Yisra’el is to hold on to the land for inheritance belonging to his father's tribe.
B’midbar 36:8 Every daughter who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the people of Yisra’el is to become the wife of someone from the family of her father's tribe, so that every one of the people of Yisra’el will stay in possession of his ancestors' inheritance.
B’midbar 36:9 Thus no inheritance will move from one tribe to another, for each of the tribes of the people of Yisra’el will hold on to its own inheritance."
B’midbar 36:10 The daughters of Tz'lof'chad did as YHVH had ordered Moshe.
B’midbar 36:11 Machlah, Tirtzah, Hoglah, Milkah and No`ah all got married to sons of their father's brothers.
B’midbar 36:12 They were married into the families of the descendants of M'nasheh the son of Yosef, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of their father's family.
B’midbar 36:13 These are the mitzvot and rulings which YHVH gave through Moshe to the people of Yisra’el in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden, across from Yericho.
