YirmeYahu 34:8 הדבר אשׁר־היה אל־ירמיהו מאת יהוה אחרי כרת המלך צדקיהו ברית את־כל־העם אשׁר בירושׁלם לקרא להם דרור׃
YirmeYahu 34:9 לשׁלח אישׁ את־עבדו ואישׁ את־שׁפחתו העברי והעבריה חפשׁים לבלתי עבד־בם ביהודי אחיהו אישׁ׃
YirmeYahu 34:10 וישׁמעו כל־השׂרים וכל־העם אשׁר־באו בברית לשׁלח אישׁ את־עבדו ואישׁ את־שׁפחתו חפשׁים לבלתי עבד־בם עוד וישׁמעו וישׁלחו׃
YirmeYahu 34:11 וישׁובו אחרי־כן וישׁבו את־העבדים ואת־השׁפחות אשׁר שׁלחו חפשׁים ויכבישׁום לעבדים ולשׁפחות׃
YirmeYahu 34:12 ויהי דבר־יהוה אל־ירמיהו מאת יהוה לאמר׃
YirmeYahu 34:13 כה־אמר יהוה אלהי ישׂראל אנכי כרתי ברית את־אבותיכם ביום הוצאי אותם מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים לאמר׃
YirmeYahu 34:14 מקץ שׁבע שׁנים תשׁלחו אישׁ את־אחיו העברי אשׁר־ימכר לך ועבדך שׁשׁ שׁנים ושׁלחתו חפשׁי מעמך ולא־שׁמעו אבותיכם אלי ולא הטו את־אזנם׃
YirmeYahu 34:15 ותשׁבו אתם היום ותעשׂו את־הישׁר בעיני לקרא דרור אישׁ לרעהו ותכרתו ברית לפני בבית אשׁר־נקרא שׁמי עליו׃
YirmeYahu 34:16 ותשׁבו ותחללו את־שׁמי ותשׁבו אישׁ את־עבדו ואישׁ את־שׁפחתו אשׁר־שׁלחתם חפשׁים לנפשׁם ותכבשׁו אתם להיות לכם לעבדים ולשׁפחות׃
YirmeYahu 34:17 לכן כה־אמר יהוה אתם לא־שׁמעתם אלי לקרא דרור אישׁ לאחיו ואישׁ לרעהו הנני קרא לכם דרור נאם־יהוה אל־החרב אל־הדבר ואל־הרעב ונתתי אתכם לזועה לכל ממלכות הארץ׃
YirmeYahu 34:18 ונתתי את־האנשׁים העברים את־ברתי אשׁר לא־הקימו את־דברי הברית אשׁר כרתו לפני העגל אשׁר כרתו לשׁנים ויעברו בין בתריו׃
YirmeYahu 34:19 שׂרי יהודה ושׂרי ירושׁלם הסרסים והכהנים וכל עם הארץ העברים בין בתרי העגל׃
YirmeYahu 34:20 ונתתי אותם ביד איביהם וביד מבקשׁי נפשׁם והיתה נבלתם למאכל לעוף השׁמים ולבהמת הארץ׃
YirmeYahu 34:21 ואת־צדקיהו מלך־יהודה ואת־שׂריו אתן ביד איביהם וביד מבקשׁי נפשׁם וביד חיל מלך בבל העלים מעליכם׃
YirmeYahu 34:22 הנני מצוה נאם־יהוה והשׁבתים אל־העיר הזאת ונלחמו עליה ולכדוה ושׂרפה באשׁ ואת־ערי יהודה אתן שׁממה מאין ישׁב׃

YirmeYahu 34:8-22; 33:25-26
YirmeYahu 34:8 The word which came to YirmeYahu from יהוה, after Sovereign Tsiḏqiyahu had made a covenant with all the people who were at Yerushalayim to proclaim release to them:
YirmeYahu 34:9 that everyone was to set free his male and female slave, the Heḇrew man and the Heḇrew woman, no one was to keep a Yehuḏite, his brother, enslaved.
YirmeYahu 34:10 And when all the heads and all the people who had come into the covenant heard that each one was to set free his male and female slaves, and not keep them enslaved any longer, they obeyed and released them.
YirmeYahu 34:11 But afterward they changed their minds and made the male and female slaves return, whom they had set free, and brought them into subjection as male and female slaves.
YirmeYahu 34:12 Therefore the word of יהוה came to YirmeYahu from יהוה, saying,
YirmeYahu 34:13 “Thus said יהוה the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, ‘I Myself made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of bondage, saying,
YirmeYahu 34:14 “At the end of seven years each one should set free his Heḇrew brother, who has been sold to him. And when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you.” But your fathers did not obey Me nor incline their ear.
YirmeYahu 34:15 ‘And you recently turned and did what was right in My eyes, each man proclaiming release to his neighbor. And you made a covenant before Me in the house which is called by My Name.
YirmeYahu 34:16 ‘But you turned back and profaned My Name, and each one of you took back his male and female slaves, whom he had set free, at their pleasure, and brought them into subjection, to be your male and female slaves.’
YirmeYahu 34:17 “Therefore thus said יהוה, ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming release, each one to his brother and each one to his neighbor. See, I am proclaiming release to you,’ declares יהוה, ‘to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the scarcity of food! And I shall make you a horror to all reigns of the earth.
YirmeYahu 34:18 ‘And I shall give the men who are transgressing My covenant, who have not established the words of the covenant which they made before Me, when they cut the calf in two and passed between the parts of it:
YirmeYahu 34:19 the heads of Yehuḏah, and the heads of Yerushalayim, the eunuchs, and the kohanim, and all the people of the land who passed between the parts of the calf.
YirmeYahu 34:20 ‘And I shall give them into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their life. And their corpses shall be for food to the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the earth.
YirmeYahu 34:21 ‘And I shall give Tsiḏqiyahu sovereign of Yehuḏah and his heads into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life, and into the hand of the sovereign of Baḇel’s army that has withdrawn from you.
YirmeYahu 34:22 ‘See, I am commanding,’ declares יהוה, ‘and shall bring them back to this city, and they shall fight against it and take it and burn it with fire. And I shall make the cities of Yehuḏah a ruin without inhabitant.’ ”
YirmeYahu 33:25 “Thus said יהוה, ‘If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the laws of the heavens and earth,
YirmeYahu 33:26 then I would also reject the descendants of Ya`akov̱ and Dawiḏ My servant, so that I should not take of his descendants to be rulers over the descendants of Avraham, Yitzchak, and Ya`akov̱. For I shall turn back their captivity, and have compassion on them.’ ”

YirmeYahu 46:14 “Declare in Mitsrayim, and let it be heard in Miḡdol. And let it be heard in Noph and in Taḥpanḥes. Say, ‘Stand fast and be prepared, for a sword shall devour all around you.’
YirmeYahu 46:15 “Why were your strong men swept away? They did not stand because יהוה drove them away.
YirmeYahu 46:16 “He made many stumble; indeed, they fell over each other, and said, ‘Arise! Let us go back to our own people, and to the land of our birth, away from the oppressing sword.’
YirmeYahu 46:17 “There they cried, ‘Pharaoh, sovereign of Mitsrayim, is but a noise. He has let the appointed time pass by!’
YirmeYahu 46:18 “As I live,” declares the Sovereign, whose Name is יהוה of hosts, “For as Taḇor is among the mountains, and as Karmel by the sea, he shall come.
YirmeYahu 46:19 “O you daughter dwelling in Mitsrayim, prepare yourself to go into exile! For Noph shall become a waste and a ruin, and be burned, without inhabitant.
YirmeYahu 46:20 “Mitsrayim is like a very pretty heifer, but destruction comes, it comes from the north.
YirmeYahu 46:21 “Her hired ones too, in her midst, are like fattened calves, for they too shall turn, they shall flee away together. They shall not stand, for the day of their calamity has come upon them, the time of their punishment.
YirmeYahu 46:22 “Its sound moves along like a serpent, for they move on like an army and come against her with axes, like woodcutters.
YirmeYahu 46:23 “They shall cut down her forest,” declares יהוה, “for it is not searched, because they are more numerous than locusts, and without number.
YirmeYahu 46:24 “The daughter of Mitsrayim shall be put to shame. She shall be given into the hand of the people of the north.”
YirmeYahu 46:25 יהוה of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, has said, “See, I am bringing punishment on Amon of No, and on Pharaoh, and on Mitsrayim, and on their mighty ones, and on their sovereigns, and on Pharaoh and on those trusting in him.
YirmeYahu 46:26 “And I shall give them into the hand of those who seek their lives, into the hand of Neḇuḵaḏretstsar sovereign of Baḇel and into the hand of his servants. And afterward it shall be inhabited as in the days of old,” declares יהוה.
YirmeYahu 46:27 “But as for you, do not fear, O My servant Ya`akov̱, and do not be discouraged, O Yisra’ĕl! For look, I am saving you from afar, and your descendants from the land of their captivity. And Ya`akov̱ shall return, and shall have rest and be at ease, with no one disturbing.
YirmeYahu 46:28 “Do not fear, O Ya`akov̱ My servant,” declares יהוה, “for I am with you. Though I make a complete end of all the gentiles to which I have driven you, yet I do not make a complete end of you1. YirmeYahu 2:19 תיסרך רעתך ומשׁבותיך תוכחך ודעי וראי כי־רע ומר עזבך את־יהוה אלהיך ולא פחדתי אליך נאם־אדני יהוה צבאות׃
YirmeYahu 2:20 כי מעולם שׁברתי עלך נתקתי מוסרתיך ותאמרי לא אעבד כי על־כל־גבעה גבהה ותחת כל־עץ רענן את צעה זנה׃
YirmeYahu 2:21 ואנכי נטעתיך שׂרק כלה זרע אמת ואיך נהפכת לי סורי הגפן נכריה׃

YirmeYahu 2:27 אמרים לעץ אבי אתה ולאבן את ילדתני כי־פנו אלי ערף ולא פנים ובעת רעתם יאמרו קומה והושׁיענו׃
YirmeYahu 2:28 ואיה אלהיך אשׁר עשׂית לך יקומו אם־יושׁיעוך בעת רעתך כי מספר עריך היו אלהיך יהודה׃

YirmeYahu 2:7 ואביא אתכם אל־ארץ הכרמל לאכל פריה וטובה ותבאו ותטמאו את־ארצי ונחלתי שׂמתם לתועבה׃
YirmeYahu 2:8 הכהנים לא אמרו איה יהוה ותפשׂי התורה לא ידעוני והרעים פשׁעו בי והנביאים נבאו בבעל ואחרי לא־יועלו הלכו׃

YirmeYahu 2:4 Hear the word of YHVH, house of Ya`akov and all families in the house of Yisra’el;
YirmeYahu 2:5 here is what YHVH says: "What did your ancestors find wrong with me to make them go so far away from me, to make them go after nothings and become themselves nothings?
YirmeYahu 2:6 They didn't ask, 'Where is YHVH, who brought us out of the land of Mitsrayim, who led us through the desert, through a land of wastes and ravines, through a land of drought and death-dark shadows, through a land where no one travels and where no one ever lived?'
YirmeYahu 2:7 I brought you into a fertile land to enjoy its fruit and all its good things; but when you entered, you defiled my land and made my heritage loathsome.
YirmeYahu 2:8 The kohanim didn't ask, 'Where is YHVH?' Those who deal with the Torah did not know me, the people's shepherds rebelled against me; the prophets prophesied by Ba`al and went after things of no value.
YirmeYahu 2:9 "So again I state my case against you," says YHVH, "and state it against your grandchildren too.
YirmeYahu 2:10 Cross to the coasts of the Kitti'im and look; send to Kedar and observe closely; see if anything like this has happened before:
YirmeYahu 2:11 has a nation ever exchanged its gods (and theirs are not gods at all!)? Yet my people have exchanged their Esteem for something without value.
YirmeYahu 2:12 Be aghast at this, you heavens! Shudder in absolute horror!" says YHVH.
YirmeYahu 2:13 "For my people have committed two evils: they have abandoned me, the fountain of living water, and dug themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water!
YirmeYahu 2:14 "Is Yisra’el a slave, born into serfdom? If not, why has he become plunder?
YirmeYahu 2:15 The young lions are roaring at him — how loudly they are roaring! They desolate his country, demolishing and depopulating his cities.
YirmeYahu 2:16 The people of Nof and Tachpanches feed on the crown of your head.
YirmeYahu 2:17 "Haven't you brought this on yourself by abandoning YHVH your Elohim when he led you along the way?
YirmeYahu 2:18 If you go to Mitsrayim, what's in it for you? Drinking water from the Nile? If you go to Ashur, what's in it for you? Drinking water from the [Euphrates] River?
YirmeYahu 2:19 Your own wickedness will correct you, your own backslidings will convict you; you will know and see how bad and bitter it was to abandon YHVH your Elohim, and how fear of me is not in you," says YHVH Elohim-Tzva'ot.
YirmeYahu 2:20 "For long ago I broke your yoke; when I snapped your chains, you said, 'I won't sin.' Yet on every high hill, under every green tree, you sprawled and prostituted yourself.
YirmeYahu 2:21 But I planted you as a choice vine of seed fully tested and true. How did you degenerate into a wild vine for me?
YirmeYahu 2:22 Even if you scrub yourself with soda and plenty of soap, the stain of your guilt is still there before me," says YHVH Elohim.
YirmeYahu 2:23 "How can you say, 'I am not defiled, I have not pursued the ba`alim'? Look at your conduct in the valley, understand what you have done. You are a restive young female camel, running here and there,
YirmeYahu 2:24 wild, accustomed to the desert, sniffing the wind in her lust — who can control her when she's in heat? Males seeking her need not weary themselves, for at mating season they will find her.
YirmeYahu 2:25 "Stop before your shoes wear out, and your throat is dry from thirst! But you say, 'No, it's hopeless! I love these strangers, and I'm going after them.'
YirmeYahu 2:26 Just as a thief is ashamed when caught, so is the house of Yisra’el ashamed — they, their kings, their leaders, their kohanim and their prophets,
YirmeYahu 2:27 who say to a log, 'You are my father,' and to a stone, 'You gave us birth.' For they have turned their backs to me instead of their faces. But when trouble comes, they will plead, 'Rouse yourself and save us!'
YirmeYahu 2:28 Where are your gods that you made for yourselves? Let them rouse themselves, if they can save you when trouble comes. Y'hudah, you have as many gods as you have cities!
YirmeYahu 3:4 Didn't you just now cry to me, 'My father, you are my friend from my youth'? —
