Mat 23:1 אז ידבר ישוע אל־המון העם ואל־תלמידיו לאמר׃
Mat 23:2 הסופרים והפרושים ישבים על־כסא משה׃
Mat 23:3 לכן כל אשר־יאמרו לכם שמרו ועשו רק השמרו מעשות כמעשיהם כי אמרים הם ואינם עשים׃
Mat 23:4 כי אסרים משאת כבדים ועמסים על־שכם האנשים והם אינם רוצים להניעם אף באצבעם׃
Mat 23:5 ועשים את־כל־מעשיהם להראות בהם לבני אדם כי מרחיבים את־תפליהם ומאריכים את־ציציותיהם׃
Mat 23:6 ואהבים להסב ראשנים בסעודות ולשבת ראשנים בבתי כנסיות׃
Mat 23:7 ושישאלו בשלומם בשוקים ושיקראו להם בני האדם רבי רבי׃
Mat 23:8 ואתם אל־יקרא לכם רבי כי אחד הוא מוריכם המשיח ואתם אחים כלכם׃
Mat 23:9 ואל־תקראו אב לאיש מכם בארץ כי אחד הוא אביכם אשר בשמים׃
Mat 23:10 גם אל־יקרא לכם מורה כי מורה אחד לכם המשיח׃
Mat 23:11 והגדול בכם יהי לכם למשרת׃
Mat 23:12 כל־המרומם את־עצמו ישפל והמשפיל את־עצמו ירומם׃
Mat 23:13 אבל אוי לכם הסופרים והפרושים החנפים כי סגרים אתם מפני האדם את מלכות השמים הן אתם לא־תבאו בה ואת הבאים לא תניחו לבוא׃
Mat 23:14 (ואוי לכם הסופרים והפרושים החנפים כי־בלעים אתם את־בתי האלמנות ומאריכים בתפלה למראה עינים תחת זאת משפט גדול יתר מאד תשפטו ׃)
Mat 23:15 אוי לכם הסופרים והפרושים החנפים כי־סובבים אתם בים וביבשה למען גיר איש אחד וכי יתגיר תעשו אותו לבן־גיהנם כפלים ככם׃
Mat 23:16 אוי לכם מנהיגים עורים האמרים הנשבע בהיכל אין־זאת מאומה והנשבע בזהב ההיכל חיב׃
Mat 23:17 כסילים ועורים כי מה־הוא הגדול אם־הזהב או ההיכל המקדש את־הזהב׃
Mat 23:18 ואמרתם הנשבע במזבח אין מאומה והנשבע בקרבן אשר־עליו חיב׃
Mat 23:19 כסילים ועורים כי מה־הוא הגדול אם־הקרבן או המזבח המקדש את־הקרבן׃
Mat 23:20 לכן הנשבע במזבח נשבע בו ובכל אשר עליו׃
Mat 23:21 והנשבע בהיכל נשבע בו ובשוכן בו׃
Mat 23:22 והנשבע בשמים נשבע בכסא אלהים ובישב עליו׃
Mat 23:23 אוי לכם הסופרים והפרושים החנפים כי מעשרים אתם את־המנתא ואת־השבת ואת־הכמן ותניחו את החמורות בתורה את־המשפט ואת־החסד ואת־האמונה והיה לכם לעשות את אלה ולא להניח גם־את־אלה׃
Mat 23:24 מנהיגים עורים המסננים את היתוש ובלעים את הגמל׃
Mat 23:25 אוי לכם הסופרים והפרושים החנפים כי מטהרים אתם את־הכוס ואת־הקערה מחוץ ותוכן מלא גזל וגרגרנות׃
Mat 23:26 פרוש עור טהר בראשונה את־תוך הכוס למען תטהר גם־מחוץ׃
Mat 23:27 אוי לכם הסופרים והפרושים החנפים כי־דמים אתם לקברים המסידים הנראים נאים מחוץ ותוכם מלא עצמות מתים וכל־טמאה׃
Mat 23:28 ככה צדיקים אתם למראה עיני בני אדם ותוככם מלא חנפה ואון׃
Mat 23:29 אוי לכם הסופרים והפרושים החנפים כי בונים אתם קברי הנביאים ותיפו את־ציוני קברות הצדיקים׃
Mat 23:30 ואמרתם אם־היינו בימי אבותינו לא־היתה ידנו עמהם לשפך דם הנביאים׃
Mat 23:31 והנה אתם מעידים בעצמכם שבנים אתם לרוצחי הנביאים׃
Mat 23:32 ובכן מלאו אתם סאת אבותיכם׃
Mat 23:33 נחשים ילדי צפעונים איך תמלטו מדין גיהנם׃
Mat 23:34 לכן הנני שלח לכם נביאים וחכמים וסופרים ומהם תהרגו ותצלבו ומהם תכו בשוטים בכנסיותיכם ותרדפום מעיר לעיר׃
Mat 23:35 למען יבא עליכם כל־דם נקי הנשפך בארץ מדם־הבל הצדיק עד־דם זכריה בן־ברכיה אשר רצחתם אותו בין ההיכל ולמזבח׃
Mat 23:36 אמן אמר אני לכם בא יבא כל־אלה על־הדור הזה׃
Mat 23:37 ירושלים ירושלים ההרגת את־הנביאים והסקלת את השלוחים אליה כמה פעמים חפצתי לקבץ את־בניך כתרנגלת המקבצת את־אפרחיה תחת כנפיה ולא אביתם׃
Mat 23:38 הנה ביתכם יעזב לכם שמם׃
Mat 23:39 כי אני אמר לכם מעתה לא תראוני עד אשר תאמרו ברוך הבא בשם־יהוה׃
Mat 24:1 ויצא־ישוע מן־המקדש ללכת לדרכו ויגשו תלמידיו להראותו את־בניני המקדש׃
Mat 24:2 ויען ישוע ויאמר אליהם הראיתם את־כל־אלה אמן אמר אני לכם לא־תשאר פה אבן על־אבן אשר לא תתפרק׃
Mat 24:3 וישב על־הר הזיתים ויגשו אליו התלמידים לבדם ויאמרו אמר־נא לנו מתי תהיה זאת ומה אות בואך ואות קץ העולם׃
Mat 24:4 ויען ישוע ויאמר להם ראו פן־יתעה אתכם איש׃
Mat 24:5 כי רבים יבאו בשמי לאמר אני הוא המשיח והתעו רבים׃
Mat 24:6 ואתם עתידים לשמע מלחמות ושמעות מלחמה ראו פן־תבהלו כי־היו תהיה כל־זאת אך עדן אין הקץ׃
Mat 24:7 כי יקום גוי על־גוי וממלכה על־ממלכה והיה רעב ודבר ורעש הנה והנה׃
Mat 24:8 וכל־אלה רק ראשית החבלים׃
Mat 24:9 אז יסגירו אתכם לצרה והמיתו אתכם והייתם שנואים לכל־הגוים למען שמי׃
Mat 24:10 ואז יכשלו רבים ומסרו איש את־רעהו ושנאו איש את־אחיו׃
Mat 24:11 ונביאי שקר רבים יקומו והתעו רבים׃
Mat 24:12 ומפני אשר ירבה הפשע תפוג אהבת הרבים׃
Mat 24:13 והמחכה עד־עת קץ הוא יושע׃
Mat 24:14 ותקרא בשורת המלכות הזאת בכל־הארץ לעדות לכל־הגוים ואחר יבוא הקץ׃
Mat 24:15 לכן כאשר תראו את־שקוץ משמם אשר אמר דניאל הנביא עומד במקום קדוש הקרא יבין׃
Mat 24:16 אז נוס ינוסו אנשי יהודה אל־ההרים׃
Mat 24:17 ואשר על־הגג אל־ירד לשאת דבר מביתו׃
Mat 24:18 ואשר בשדה אל־ישב הביתה לשאת את־מלבושו׃
Mat 24:19 ואוי להרות ולמיניקות בימים ההם׃
Mat 24:20 אך התפללו שלא תהיה מנוסתכם בחרף ולא בשבת׃
Mat 24:21 כי אז תהיה צרה גדולה אשר כמוה לא־נהיתה מראשית הולם ועד־עתה וכמוה לא תוסף׃
Mat 24:22 ולולא נקצרו הימים ההם לא ינצל כל־בשר אך למען הבחירים יקצרו הימים ההם׃
Mat 24:23 וכי־יאמר אליכם איש בעת ההיא הנה־פה המשיח או הנו־שם אל־תאמינו׃
Mat 24:24 כי יקומו משיחי שקר ונביאי שקר ויתנו אתות גדלות ומופתים למען התעות אף את־הבחירים אם־יוכלו׃
Mat 24:25 הנה מראש הגדתי לכם׃
Mat 24:26 לכן כי־יאמרו אליכם הנו במדבר אל־תצאו הנו בחדרים אל־תאמינו׃
Mat 24:27 כי כברק היוצא ממזרח ומאיר עד־המערב כן יהיה גם־בואו של־בן־האדם׃
Mat 24:28 כי באשר החלל שם יקבצו הנשרים׃
Mat 24:29 ומיד אחרי צרת הימים ההם תחשך השמש והירח לא יגיה אורו והכוכבים יפלו מן־השמים וחילי השמים יתמוטטו׃
Mat 24:30 אז יראה אות בן־האדם בשמים וספדו כל־משפחות הארץ וראו את־בן־האדם בא עם־ענני השמים בגבורה וכבוד רב׃
Mat 24:31 ושלח את־מלאכיו בקול שופר גדול וקבצו את־בחיריו מארבע הרוחות למקצה השמים ועד קצה השמים׃
Mat 24:32 ומן־התאנה למדו את־המשל הזה כאשר ירטב ענפה ופרחו עליה ידעתם כי קרוב הקיץ׃
Mat 24:33 כן גם־אתם בראותכם את־כל־אלה דעו כי־קרוב הוא בפתח׃
Mat 24:34 אמן אמר אני לכם כי לא יעבר הדור הזה עד אשר־יהיו כל־אלה׃
Mat 24:35 השמים והארץ יעברו ודברי לא יעברון׃
Mat 24:36 והיום ההוא והשעה ההיא אין איש יודע גם־לא מלאכי השמים גם־לא הבן בלתי אבי לבדו׃
Mat 24:37 וכימי נח כן יהיה גם־בואו של־בן־האדם׃
Mat 24:38 כי כאשר לפני ימי המבול היו אכלים ושתים נשאים נשים ונתנים נשים לאנשים עד־היום אשר־בא נח אל־התבה׃
Mat 24:39 ולא ידעו עד־בוא המבול וימח את־כלם כן יהיה גם־בואו של־בן־האדם׃
Mat 24:40 אז יהיו שנים בשדה ויאסף אחד והאחד יעזב׃
Mat 24:41 שתים טוחנות ברחים ותאסף אחת ואחת תעזב׃
Mat 24:42 לכן שקדו כי אינכם יודעים באי־זו שעה יבא אדניכם׃
Mat 24:43 ואת־זאת דעו אשר לו־ידע בעל הבית באי־זו אשמורה יבא הגנב כי־עתה שקד ולא הניח לחתר את־ביתו׃
Mat 24:44 לכן היו נכונים גם־אתם כי בשעה אשר לא תדמו יבוא בן־האדם׃
Mat 24:45 מי הוא אפוא העבד הנאמן והנבון אשר הפקידו אדניו על־עבדיו לתת להם את־אכלם בעתו׃
Mat 24:46 אשרי העבד אשר יבוא אדניו וימצאהו עשה כן׃
Mat 24:47 אמן אמר אני לכם כי יפקידהו על־כל־אשר־לו׃
Mat 24:48 ואם־יאמר העבד הרע בלבו מאחר אדני לבוא׃
Mat 24:49 והכה את־חבריו ואכל ושתה עם־הסובאים׃
Mat 24:50 בוא יבוא אדני העבד ההוא ביום לא יצפה ובשעה לא ידע׃
Mat 24:51 וישסף אתו וישים את־חלקו עם־החנפים שם תהיה היללה וחרק השנים׃
Mat 25:1 אז תדמה מלכות השמים לעשר עלמות אשר לקחו את־נרותיהן ותצאנה לקראת החתן׃
Mat 25:2 חמש מהן חכמות וחמש כסילות׃
Mat 25:3 ותקחנה הכסילות את־הנרות ולא־לקחו עמהן שמן׃
Mat 25:4 והחכמות לקחו שמן בכליהן ואת נרותיהן׃
Mat 25:5 וכאשר אחר החתן לבוא ותנמנה כלן ותרדמנה׃
Mat 25:6 ויהי בחצות הלילה וישמע קול תרועה הנה החתן צאינה לקראתו׃
Mat 25:7 אז התעוררו כל־העלמות ההן ותיטבנה את־נרותיהן׃
Mat 25:8 ותאמרנה הכסילות אל־החכמות תנה לנו משמנכן כי יכבו נרותינו׃
Mat 25:9 ותענינה החכמות לאמר לא כן פן־לא יספיק לנו ולכן כי אם־לכנה אל־המוכרים וקנינה לכן׃
Mat 25:10 ויהי הנה הלכות לקנות והחתן בא ותבאנה הנכנות עמו אל־החתנה ותסגר הדלת׃
Mat 25:11 ואחר באו גם־יתר העלמות ותאמרנה אדנינו אדנינו פתח־לנו׃
Mat 25:12 ויען ויאמר אמן אמר אני לכן לא ידעתי אתכן׃
Mat 25:13 לכן שקדו כי אינכם יודעים את־היום ואת־השעה (אשר יבא בה בן־האדם)׃
Mat 25:14 כי הדבר דמה לאיש נסע למרחוק אשר קרא אל־עבדיו ויפקד בידם את־רכושו׃
Mat 25:15 ויתן לזה חמש ככרים ולזה שתים ולזה אחת לכל־איש לפי יכלתו וימהר ויסע משם׃
Mat 25:16 וילך האיש הלקח חמש ככרים ויסחר בהן ויעש חמש ככרים אחרות׃
Mat 25:17 וכן הלקח שתים גם־הוא הרויח שתים אחרות׃
Mat 25:18 ולקח האחת הלך ויחפר באדמה ויטמן את־כסף אדניו׃
Mat 25:19 ואחרי ימים רבים בא אדוני העבדים ההם ויעש חשבון עמהם׃
Mat 25:20 ויגש הלקח חמש הככרים ויבא חמש ככרים אחרות ויאמר אדני חמש ככרים הפקדת בידי הנה חמש ככרים אחרות הרוחתי בהן׃
Mat 25:21 ויאמר אליו אדניו הטיבת לעשות עבד טוב ונאמן כי במעט נאמן היית ועל־הרבה אפקידך בוא לשמחת אדניך׃
Mat 25:22 ויגש גם־לקח הככרים ויאמר אדני ככרים הפקדת בידי הנה ככרים הרוחתי בהן׃
Mat 25:23 ויאמר אליו אדניו הטיבת לעשות עבד טוב ונאמן במזער נאמן היית ועל־הרבה אפקידך בוא לשמחת אדניך׃
Mat 25:24 ויגש גם־הלקח את־הככר האחת ויאמר אדני ידעתיך כי־איש קשה אתה קצר באשר לא זרעת וכנס מאשר לא פזרת׃
Mat 25:25 ואירא ואלך ואטמן את־ככרך באדמה ועתה הא־לך אשר־לך׃
Mat 25:26 ויען אדניו ויאמר אליו העבד הרע והעצל אתה ידעת כי־קצר אנכי באשר לא זרעתי וכנס מאשר לא פזרתי׃
Mat 25:27 לכן היה עליך לתת את־כספי לשלחנים ואני בבואי הייתי לקח את אשר־לי ותרביתו׃
Mat 25:28 על־כן שאו ממנו את הככר ותנו אל־האיש אשר־לו עשר הככר׃
Mat 25:29 כי מי אשר יש־לו ינתן לו ויעדיף ומי אשר אין־לו יקח ממנו גם את אשר־לו׃
Mat 25:30 ואת־עבד הבליעל השליכו אל־החשך החיצון שם תהיה היללה וחרק השנים׃
Mat 25:31 והיה כי יבוא בן־האדם בכבודו וכל־המלאכים הקדשים עמו וישב על־כסא כבודו׃
Mat 25:32 ונאספו לפניו כל־הגוים והפריד ביניהם כאשר יפריד הרעה בין הכבשים ובין העתודים׃
Mat 25:33 והציב את־הכבשים לימינו ואת העתודים לשמאלו׃
Mat 25:34 אז יאמר המלך אל־הנצבים לימינו באו ברוכי אבי ורשו את־המלכות המוכנה לכם למן־הוסד העולם׃
Mat 25:35 כי רעב הייתי ותאכילני צמא הייתי ותשקוני ארח הייתי ותאספוני׃
Mat 25:36 ערום ותכסוני חולה ותבקרוני במשמר הייתי ותבאו אלי׃
Mat 25:37 וענו הצדיקים ואמרו אדנינו מתי ראינוך רעב ונכלכלך או צמא ונשקה אותך׃
Mat 25:38 ומתי ראינוך ארח ונאספ או ערם ונכס׃
Mat 25:39 ומתי ראינוך חולה או במשמר ונבא אליך׃
Mat 25:40 והמלך יענה ויאמר אליהם אמן אמר אני לכם מה־שעשיתם לאחד מאחי הצעירים האלה לי עשיתם׃
Mat 25:41 ואז יאמר גם אל־הנצבים לשמאלו לכו מעלי ארורים אל־אש עולם המוכנה לשטן ולמלאכיו׃
Mat 25:42 כי רעב הייתי ולא האכלתם אותי צמא הייתי ולא השקיתם אותי׃
Mat 25:43 ארח הייתי ולא אספתם אותי ערום ולא כסיתם אותי חולה ובמשמר ולא בקרתם אותי׃
Mat 25:44 וענו גם־הם ואמרו אדנינו מתי ראינוך רעב או צמא או ארח או ערום או חולה או במשמר ולא שרתנוך׃
Mat 25:45 אז יענה אתם לאמר אמן אמר אני לכם מה־שלא עשיתם לאחד מן־הצעירים האלה גם־לי לא עשיתם׃
Mat 25:46 והלכו אלה למעצבת עולם והצדיקים לחיי עולם׃

Mat 23:1 Then יהושע spoke to the crowds and to His talmidim,
Mat 23:2 saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on the seat of Moshe.
Mat 23:3 “Therefore, whatever he says to you to guard, guard and do. But do not do according to their works, for they say, and do not do.
Mat 23:4 “For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders, but with their finger they do not wish to move them.
Mat 23:5 “And they do all their works to be seen by men, and they make their t’fillen wide and lengthen the tzitziyot1 of their garments, Footnote:1Plural of Tzitzit - See Explanatory notes - “Tzitzit” and Num. 15:37-41, Dt. 22:12.
Mat 23:6 and they love the best place at feasts, and the best seats in the congregations,
Mat 23:7 and the greetings in the market-places, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’
Mat 23:8 “But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi,’ for One is your Head, HaMashiach, and you are all brothers.
Mat 23:9 “And do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father, He who is in the heavens.
Mat 23:10 “Neither be called leaders, for One is your Leader, HaMashiach.
Mat 23:11 “But the greatest among you shall be your slave.
Mat 23:12 “And whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.
Mat 23:13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the reign of the heavens before men, for you do not go in, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
Mat 23:14 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you eat up widows’ houses, and for a show make long prayers. Because of this you shall receive greater judgment.
Mat 23:15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you go about the land and the sea to win one convert, and when he is won, you make him a son of Gehenna twofold more than yourselves.
Mat 23:16 “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the Dwelling Place, it does not matter, but whoever swears by the gold of the Dwelling Place, is bound by oath.’
Mat 23:17 “Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the Dwelling Place that makes the gold Kadosh?
Mat 23:18 “And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar, it does not matter, but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, is bound by oath.’
Mat 23:19 “Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift Kadosh?
Mat 23:20 “He, then, who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all that is upon it.
Mat 23:21 “And he who swears by the Dwelling Place, swears by it and by Him who is dwelling in it.
Mat 23:22 “And he who swears by the heaven, swears by the throne of Elohim and by Him who is sitting upon it.
Mat 23:23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you tithe the mint and the anise and the cumin,1 and have neglected the weightier matters of the Torah: the right-ruling and the compassion and the belief. These need to have been done, without neglecting the others. Footnote:1The wording in Lk. 11:42 is somewhat different.
Mat 23:24 “Blind guides – straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!
Mat 23:25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are filled with plunder and unrighteousness.
Mat 23:26 “Blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and dish, so that the outside of them becomes clean too.
Mat 23:27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you are like whitewashed tombs which outwardly indeed look well, but inside are filled with dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.
Mat 23:28 “So you too outwardly indeed appear righteous to men, but inside you are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness.1 Footnote:1See 5:20.
Mat 23:29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the Nevi’im and decorate the monuments of the righteous,
Mat 23:30 and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have taken part with them in the blood of the Nevi’im.’
Mat 23:31 “Thus you bear witness against yourselves that you are sons of those who did murder the Nevi’im –
Mat 23:32 and you fill up the measure of your fathers!
Mat 23:33 “Serpents, brood of adders! How would you escape the judgment of Gehenna?
Mat 23:34 “Because of this, see, I send you Nevi’im, and wise men, and scholars of Scripture.1 Some of them you shall kill and impale, and some of them you shall flog in your congregations and persecute from city to city, Footnote:1See 13:52.
Mat 23:35 so that on you should come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Hevel to the blood of Zeḵaryah, son of Bereḵyah, whom you murdered between the Dwelling Place and the altar.
Mat 23:36 “Truly, I say to you, all this shall come upon this generation.
Mat 23:37 “Yerushalayim, Yerushalayim, killing the Nevi’im and stoning those who are sent to her! How often I wished to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you would not!
Mat 23:38 “See! Your house is left to you laid waste,
Mat 23:39 for I say to you, from now on you shall by no means see Me, until you say, ‘Blessed is He who is coming in the Name of יהוה!’ ”1 Footnote:1See Ps. 118:26.
Mat 24:1 And going out, יהושע went away from the Kadosh Place, and His talmidim came near to point out to Him the buildings of the Kadosh Place.
Mat 24:2 And יהושע said to them, “Do you not see all these? Truly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, at all, which shall not be thrown down.”
Mat 24:3 And as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the talmidim came to Him separately, saying, “Say to us, when shall this be, and what is the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
Mat 24:4 And יהושע answering, said to them, “Take heed that no one leads you astray.
Mat 24:5 “For many shall come in My Name, saying, ‘I am HaMashiach,’ and they shall lead many astray.
Mat 24:6 “And you shall begin to hear of fights and reports of fights. See that you are not troubled, for these have to take place, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 “For nation shall rise against nation, and reign against reign. And there shall be scarcities of food, and deadly diseases, and earthquakes in places.
Mat 24:8 “And all these are the beginning of birth pains.
Mat 24:9 “Then they shall deliver you up to affliction and kill you, and you shall be hated by all nations for My Name’s sake.
Mat 24:10 “And then many shall stumble, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.
Mat 24:11 “And many false prophets shall rise up and lead many astray.
Mat 24:12 “And because of the increase in Torahlessness, the love of many shall become cold.
Mat 24:13 “But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.1 Footnote:1See 10:22.

Yech 37:15 ויהי דבר־יהוה אלי לאמר׃
Yech 37:16 ואתה בן־אדם קח־לך עץ אחד וכתב עליו ליהודה ולבני ישׂראל חברו ולקח עץ אחד וכתוב עליו ליוסף עץ אפרים וכל־בית ישׂראל חברו׃
Yech 37:17 וקרב אתם אחד אל־אחד לך לעץ אחד והיו לאחדים בידך׃
Yech 37:18 וכאשׁר יאמרו אליך בני עמך לאמר הלוא־תגיד לנו מה־אלה לך׃
Yech 37:19 דבר אלהם כה־אמר אדני יהוה הנה אני לקח את־עץ יוסף אשׁר ביד־אפרים ושׁבטי ישׂראל חברו ונתתי אותם עליו את־עץ יהודה ועשׂיתם לעץ אחד והיו אחד בידי׃
Yech 37:20 והיו העצים אשׁר־תכתב עליהם בידך לעיניהם׃

Yech 37:15 And the word of יהוה came to me, saying,
Yech 37:16 “And you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it, ‘For Yehuḏah and for the children of Yisra’ĕl, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Yosĕf, the stick of Ephrayim, and for all the house of Yisra’ĕl, his companions.’
Yech 37:17 “Then bring them together for yourself into one stick, and they shall become one in your hand.
Yech 37:18 “And when the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Won’t you show us what you mean by these?’
Yech 37:19 say to them, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “See, I am taking the stick of Yosĕf, which is in the hand of Ephrayim, and the tribes of Yisra’ĕl, his companions. And I shall give them unto him, with the stick of Yehuḏah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in My hand.” ’
Yech 37:20 “And the sticks on which you write shall be in your hand before their eyes.
Yech 37:21 “And speak to them, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “See, I am taking the children of Yisra’ĕl from among the goyim, wherever they have gone, and shall gather them from all around, and I shall bring them into their land.
Yech 37:22 “And I shall make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Yisra’ĕl. And one Melech shall be sovereign over them all, and let them no longer be two nations, and let them no longer be divided into two reigns.
Yech 37:23 “And they shall no longer defile themselves with their idols, nor with their disgusting matters, nor with any of their transgressions. And I shall save them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and I shall cleanse them. And they shall be My people, and I be their Elohim,
Yech 37:24 while Dawiḏ My servant is Melech over them. And they shall all have one shepherd and walk in My right-rulings and guard My mitzvot, and shall do them.
Yech 37:25 “And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Ya`akov̱ My servant, where your fathers dwelt. And they shall dwell in it, they and their children and their children’s children, forever, and My servant Dawiḏ be their prince forever.
Yech 37:26 “And I shall make a covenant of peace with them – an everlasting covenant it is with them. And I shall place them and increase them, and shall place My kadosh place in their midst, forever.
Yech 37:27 “And My Dwelling Place shall be over them. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.
Yech 37:28 “And the goyim shall know that I, יהוה, am setting Yisra’ĕl apart, when My kadosh place is in their midst – forever.” ’ ”

B’reisheet 45:22 לכלם נתן לאישׁ חלפות שׂמלת ולבנימן נתן שׁלשׁ מאות כסף וחמשׁ חלפת שׂמלת׃
B’reisheet 45:23 ולאביו שׁלח כזאת עשׂרה חמרים נשׂאים מטוב מצרים ועשׂר אתנת נשׂאת בר ולחם ומזון לאביו לדרך׃

B’reisheet 45:25 ויעלו ממצרים ויבאו ארץ כנען אל־יעקב אביהם׃

B’reisheet 47:8 ויאמר פרעה אל־יעקב כמה ימי שׁני חייך׃
B’reisheet 47:9 ויאמר יעקב אל־פרעה ימי שׁני מגורי שׁלשׁים ומאת שׁנה מעט ורעים היו ימי שׁני חיי ולא השׂיגו את־ימי שׁני חיי אבתי בימי מגוריהם׃
B’reisheet 47:10 ויברך יעקב את־פרעה ויצא מלפני פרעה׃
B’reisheet 47:11 ויושׁב יוסף את־אביו ואת־אחיו ויתן להם אחזה בארץ מצרים במיטב הארץ בארץ רעמסס כאשׁר צוה פרעה׃
B’reisheet 47:12 ויכלכל יוסף את־אביו ואת־אחיו ואת כל־בית אביו לחם לפי הטף׃
B’reisheet 47:13 ולחם אין בכל־הארץ כי־כבד הרעב מאד ותלה ארץ מצרים וארץ כנען מפני הרעב׃
B’reisheet 47:14 וילקט יוסף את־כל־הכסף הנמצא בארץ־מצרים ובארץ כנען בשׁבר אשׁר־הם שׁברים ויבא יוסף את־הכסף ביתה פרעה׃
B’reisheet 47:15 ויתם הכסף מארץ מצרים ומארץ כנען ויבאו כל־מצרים אל־יוסף לאמר הבה־לנו לחם ולמה נמות נגדך כי אפס כסף׃
B’reisheet 47:16 ויאמר יוסף הבו מקניכם ואתנה לכם במקניכם אם־אפס כסף׃
B’reisheet 47:17 ויביאו את־מקניהם אל־יוסף ויתן להם יוסף לחם בסוסים ובמקנה הצאן ובמקנה הבקר ובחמרים וינהלם בלחם בכל־מקנהם בשׁנה ההוא׃
B’reisheet 47:18 ותתם השׁנה ההוא ויבאו אליו בשׁנה השׁנית ויאמרו לו לא־נכחד מאדני כי אם־תם הכסף ומקנה הבהמה אל־אדני לא נשׁאר לפני אדני בלתי אם־גויתנו ואדמתנו׃
B’reisheet 47:19 למה נמות לעיניך גם־אנחנו גם אדמתנו קנה־אתנו ואת־אדמתנו בלחם ונהיה אנחנו ואדמתנו עבדים לפרעה ותן־זרע ונחיה ולא נמות והאדמה לא תשׁם׃
B’reisheet 47:20 ויקן יוסף את־כל־אדמת מצרים לפרעה כי־מכרו מצרים אישׁ שׂדהו כי־חזק עלהם הרעב ותהי הארץ לפרעה׃
B’reisheet 47:21 ואת־העם העביר אתו לערים מקצה גבול־מצרים ועד־קצהו׃
B’reisheet 47:22 רק אדמת הכהנים לא קנה כי חק לכהנים מאת פרעה ואכלו את־חקם אשׁר נתן להם פרעה על־כן לא מכרו את־אדמתם׃
B’reisheet 47:23 ויאמר יוסף אל־העם הן קניתי אתכם היום ואת־אדמתכם לפרעה הא־לכם זרע וזרעתם את־האדמה׃
B’reisheet 47:24 והיה בתבואת ונתתם חמישׁית לפרעה וארבע הידת יהיה לכם לזרע השׂדה ולאכלכם ולאשׁר בבתיכם ולאכל לטפכם׃
B’reisheet 47:25 ויאמרו החיתנו נמצא־חן בעיני אדני והיינו עבדים לפרעה׃
B’reisheet 47:26 וישׂם אתה יוסף לחק עד־היום הזה על־אדמת מצרים לפרעה לחמשׁ רק אדמת הכהנים לבדם לא היתה לפרעה׃
B’reisheet 47:27 וישׁב ישׂראל בארץ מצרים בארץ גשׁן ויאחזו בה ויפרו וירבו מאד׃
B’reisheet 44:18 ויגשׁ אליו יהודה ויאמר בי אדני ידבר־נא עבדך דבר באזני אדני ואל־יחר אפך בעבדך כי כמוך כפרעה׃
B’reisheet 44:19 אדני שׁאל את־עבדיו לאמר הישׁ־לכם אב או־אח׃
B’reisheet 44:20 ונאמר אל־אדני ישׁ־לנו אב זקן וילד זקנים קטן ואחיו מת ויותר הוא לבדו לאמו ואביו אהבו׃
B’reisheet 44:21 ותאמר אל־עבדיך הורדהו אלי ואשׂימה עיני עליו׃
B’reisheet 44:22 ונאמר אל־אדני לא־יוכל הנער לעזב את־אביו ועזב את־אביו ומת׃
B’reisheet 44:23 ותאמר אל־עבדיך אם־לא ירד אחיכם הקטן אתכם לא תספון לראות פני׃
B’reisheet 44:24 ויהי כי עלינו אל־עבדך אבי ונגד־לו את דברי אדני׃
B’reisheet 44:25 ויאמר אבינו שׁבו שׁברו־לנו מעט־אכל׃
B’reisheet 44:26 ונאמר לא נוכל לרדת אם־ישׁ אחינו הקטן אתנו וירדנו כי־לא נוכל לראות פני האישׁ ואחינו הקטן איננו אתנו׃
B’reisheet 44:27 ויאמר עבדך אבי אלינו אתם ידעתם כי שׁנים ילדה־לי אשׁתי׃
B’reisheet 44:28 ויצא האחד מאתי ואמר אך טרף טרף ולא ראיתיו עד־הנה׃
B’reisheet 44:29 ולקחתם גם־את־זה מעם פני וקרהו אסון והורדתם את־שׂיבתי ברעה שׁאלה׃
B’reisheet 44:30 ועתה כבאי אל־עבדך אבי והנער איננו אתנו ונפשׁו קשׁורה בנפשׁו׃
B’reisheet 44:31 והיה כראותו כי־אין הנער ומת והורידו עבדיך את־שׂיבת עבדך אבינו ביגון שׁאלה׃
B’reisheet 44:32 כי עבדך ערב את־הנער מעם אבי לאמר אם־לא אביאנו אליך וחטאתי לאבי כל־הימים׃
B’reisheet 44:33 ועתה ישׁב־נא עבדך תחת הנער עבד לאדני והנער יעל עם־אחיו׃
B’reisheet 44:34 כי־איך אעלה אל־אבי והנער איננו אתי פן אראה ברע אשׁר ימצא את־אבי׃
B’reisheet 45:1 ולא־יכל יוסף להתאפק לכל הנצבים עליו ויקרא הוציאו כל־אישׁ מעלי ולא־עמד אישׁ אתו בהתודע יוסף אל־אחיו׃
B’reisheet 45:2 ויתן את־קלו בבכי וישׁמעו מצרים וישׁמע בית פרעה׃
B’reisheet 45:3 ויאמר יוסף אל־אחיו אני יוסף העוד אבי חי ולא־יכלו אחיו לענות אתו כי נבהלו מפניו׃
B’reisheet 45:4 ויאמר יוסף אל־אחיו גשׁו־נא אלי ויגשׁו ויאמר אני יוסף אחיכם אשׁר־מכרתם אתי מצרימה׃
B’reisheet 45:5 ועתה אל־תעצבו ואל־יחר בעיניכם כי־מכרתם אתי הנה כי למחיה שׁלחני אלהים לפניכם׃
B’reisheet 45:6 כי־זה שׁנתים הרעב בקרב הארץ ועוד חמשׁ שׁנים אשׁר אין־חרישׁ וקציר׃
B’reisheet 45:7 וישׁלחני אלהים לפניכם לשׂום לכם שׁארית בארץ ולהחיות לכם לפליטה גדלה׃
B’reisheet 45:8 ועתה לא־אתם שׁלחתם אתי הנה כי האלהים וישׂימני לאב לפרעה ולאדון לכל־ביתו ומשׁל בכל־ארץ מצרים׃
B’reisheet 45:9 מהרו ועלו אל־אבי ואמרתם אליו כה אמר בנך יוסף שׂמני אלהים לאדון לכל־מצרים רדה אלי אל־תעמד׃
B’reisheet 45:10 וישׁבת בארץ־גשׁן והיית קרוב אלי אתה ובניך ובני בניך וצאנך ובקרך וכל־אשׁר־לך׃
B’reisheet 45:11 וכלכלתי אתך שׁם כי־עוד חמשׁ שׁנים רעב פן־תורשׁ אתה וביתך וכל־אשׁר־לך׃
B’reisheet 45:12 והנה עיניכם ראות ועיני אחי בנימין כי־פי המדבר אליכם׃
B’reisheet 45:13 והגדתם לאבי את־כל־כבודי במצרים ואת כל־אשׁר ראיתם ומהרתם והורדתם את־אבי הנה׃
B’reisheet 45:14 ויפל על־צוארי בנימן־אחיו ויבך ובנימן בכה על־צואריו׃
B’reisheet 45:15 וינשׁק לכל־אחיו ויבך עלהם ואחרי כן דברו אחיו אתו׃
B’reisheet 45:16 והקל נשׁמע בית פרעה לאמר באו אחי יוסף וייטב בעיני פרעה ובעיני עבדיו׃
B’reisheet 45:17 ויאמר פרעה אל־יוסף אמר אל־אחיך זאת עשׂו טענו את־בעירכם ולכו־באו ארצה כנען׃
B’reisheet 45:18 וקחו את־אביכם ואת־בתיכם ובאו אלי ואתנה לכם את־טוב ארץ מצרים ואכלו את־חלב הארץ׃
B’reisheet 45:19 ואתה צויתה זאת עשׂו קחו־לכם מארץ מצרים עגלות לטפכם ולנשׁיכם ונשׂאתם את־אביכם ובאתם׃
B’reisheet 45:20 ועינכם אל־תחס על־כליכם כי־טוב כל־ארץ מצרים לכם הוא׃
B’reisheet 45:21 ויעשׂו־כן בני ישׂראל ויתן להם יוסף עגלות על־פי פרעה ויתן להם צדה לדרך׃
B’reisheet 45:22 לכלם נתן לאישׁ חלפות שׂמלת ולבנימן נתן שׁלשׁ מאות כסף וחמשׁ חלפת שׂמלת׃
B’reisheet 45:23 ולאביו שׁלח כזאת עשׂרה חמרים נשׂאים מטוב מצרים ועשׂר אתנת נשׂאת בר ולחם ומזון לאביו לדרך׃
B’reisheet 45:24 וישׁלח את־אחיו וילכו ויאמר אלהם אל־תרגזו בדרך׃
B’reisheet 45:25 ויעלו ממצרים ויבאו ארץ כנען אל־יעקב אביהם׃
B’reisheet 45:26 ויגדו לו לאמר עוד יוסף חי וכי־הוא משׁל בכל־ארץ מצרים ויפג לבו כי לא־האמין להם׃
B’reisheet 45:27 וידברו אליו את כל־דברי יוסף אשׁר דבר אלהם וירא את־העגלות אשׁר־שׁלח יוסף לשׂאת אתו ותחי רוח יעקב אביהם׃
B’reisheet 45:28 ויאמר ישׂראל רב עוד־יוסף בני חי אלכה ואראנו בטרם אמות׃
B’reisheet 46:1 ויסע ישׂראל וכל־אשׁר־לו ויבא בארה שׁבע ויזבח זבחים לאלהי אביו יצחק׃
B’reisheet 46:2 ויאמר אלהים לישׂראל במראת הלילה ויאמר יעקב יעקב ויאמר הנני׃
B’reisheet 46:3 ויאמר אנכי האל אלהי אביך אל־תירא מרדה מצרימה כי־לגוי גדול אשׂימך שׁם׃
B’reisheet 46:4 אנכי ארד עמך מצרימה ואנכי אעלך גם־עלה ויוסף ישׁית ידו על־עיניך׃
B’reisheet 46:5 ויקם יעקב מבאר שׁבע וישׂאו בני־ישׂראל את־יעקב אביהם ואת־טפם ואת־נשׁיהם בעגלות אשׁר־שׁלח פרעה לשׂאת אתו׃
B’reisheet 46:6 ויקחו את־מקניהם ואת־רכושׁם אשׁר רכשׁו בארץ כנען ויבאו מצרימה יעקב וכל־זרעו אתו׃
B’reisheet 46:7 בניו ובני בניו אתו בנתיו ובנות בניו וכל־זרעו הביא אתו מצרימה׃
B’reisheet 46:8 ואלה שׁמות בני־ישׂראל הבאים מצרימה יעקב ובניו בכר יעקב ראובן׃
B’reisheet 46:9 ובני ראובן חנוך ופלוא וחצרן וכרמי׃
B’reisheet 46:10 ובני שׁמעון ימואל וימין ואהד ויכין וצחר ושׁאול בן־הכנענית׃
B’reisheet 46:11 ובני לוי גרשׁון קהת ומררי׃
B’reisheet 46:12 ובני יהודה ער ואונן ושׁלה ופרץ וזרח וימת ער ואונן בארץ כנען ויהיו בני־פרץ חצרן וחמול׃
B’reisheet 46:13 ובני ישׂשכר תולע ופוה ויוב ושׁמרן׃
B’reisheet 46:14 ובני זבלון סרד ואלון ויחלאל׃
B’reisheet 46:15 אלה בני לאה אשׁר ילדה ליעקב בפדן ארם ואת דינה בתו כל־נפשׁ בניו ובנותיו שׁלשׁים ושׁלשׁ׃
B’reisheet 46:16 ובני גד צפיון וחגי שׁוני ואצבן ערי וארודי ואראלי׃
B’reisheet 46:17 ובני אשׁר ימנה וישׁוה וישׁוי ובריעה ושׂרח אחתם ובני בריעה חבר ומלכיאל׃

B’reisheet 46:26 כל־הנפשׁ הבאה ליעקב מצרימה יצאי ירכו מלבד נשׁי בני־יעקב כל־נפשׁ שׁשׁים ושׁשׁ׃
B’reisheet 46:27 ובני יוסף אשׁר־ילד־לו במצרים נפשׁ שׁנים כל־הנפשׁ לבית־יעקב הבאה מצרימה שׁבעים׃
B’reisheet 46:28 ואת־יהודה שׁלח לפניו אל־יוסף להורת לפניו גשׁנה ויבאו ארצה גשׁן׃
B’reisheet 46:29 ויאסר יוסף מרכבתו ויעל לקראת־ישׂראל אביו גשׁנה וירא אליו ויפל על־צואריו ויבך על־צואריו עוד׃
B’reisheet 46:30 ויאמר ישׂראל אל־יוסף אמותה הפעם אחרי ראותי את־פניך כי עודך חי׃
B’reisheet 46:31 ויאמר יוסף אל־אחיו ואל־בית אביו אעלה ואגידה לפרעה ואמרה אליו אחי ובית־אבי אשׁר בארץ־כנען באו אלי׃
B’reisheet 46:32 והאנשׁים רעי צאן כי־אנשׁי מקנה היו וצאנם ובקרם וכל־אשׁר להם הביאו׃
B’reisheet 46:33 והיה כי־יקרא לכם פרעה ואמר מה־מעשׂיכם׃
B’reisheet 46:34 ואמרתם אנשׁי מקנה היו עבדיך מנעורינו ועד־עתה גם־אנחנו גם־אבתינו בעבור תשׁבו בארץ גשׁן כי־תועבת מצרים כל־רעה צאן׃
B’reisheet 47:1 ויבא יוסף ויגד לפרעה ויאמר אבי ואחי וצאנם ובקרם וכל־אשׁר להם באו מארץ כנען והנם בארץ גשׁן׃
B’reisheet 47:2 ומקצה אחיו לקח חמשׁה אנשׁים ויצגם לפני פרעה׃
B’reisheet 47:3 ויאמר פרעה אל־אחיו מה־מעשׂיכם ויאמרו אל־פרעה רעה צאן עבדיך גם־אנחנו גם־אבותינו׃
B’reisheet 47:4 ויאמרו אל־פרעה לגור בארץ באנו כי־אין מרעה לצאן אשׁר לעבדיך כי־כבד הרעב בארץ כנען ועתה ישׁבו־נא עבדיך בארץ גשׁן׃
B’reisheet 47:5 ויאמר פרעה אל־יוסף לאמר אביך ואחיך באו אליך׃
B’reisheet 47:6 ארץ מצרים לפניך הוא במיטב הארץ הושׁב את־אביך ואת־אחיך ישׁבו בארץ גשׁן ואם־ידעת וישׁ־בם אנשׁי־חיל ושׂמתם שׂרי מקנה על־אשׁר־לי׃

B’reisheet 44:18 And Yehuḏah came near to him and said, “O my master, please let your servant speak a word in my master’s hearing, and do not let your displeasure burn against your servant, for you are like Pharaoh.
B’reisheet 44:19 “My master asked his servants, saying, ‘Have you a father or a brother?’
B’reisheet 44:20 “And we said to my master, ‘We have a father, an old man, and a young child of his old age, and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother’s children, and his father loves him.’
B’reisheet 44:21 “And you said to your servants, ‘Bring him down to me, and let me set my eyes on him.’
B’reisheet 44:22 “And we said to my master, ‘The boy is not able to leave his father, for if he leaves his father, his father shall die.’
B’reisheet 44:23 “But you said to your servants, ‘Unless your youngest brother comes down with you, you do not see my face again.’
B’reisheet 44:24 “And it came to be, when we went up to your servant my father, that we told him the words of my master.
B’reisheet 44:25 “And our father said, ‘Go back and buy us a little food.’
B’reisheet 44:26 “But we said, ‘We are not able to go down. If our youngest brother is with us, then we shall go down, for we are not able to see the man’s face unless our youngest brother is with us.’
B’reisheet 44:27 “Then your servant my father said to us, ‘You know that my wife bore me two sons,
B’reisheet 44:28 and the one went out from me, and I said, “Truly, he is torn, torn to pieces!” And I have not seen him since.
B’reisheet 44:29 ‘And if you take this one from me too, and harm comes to him, you shall bring down my grey hair with evil to the grave.’
B’reisheet 44:30 “And now, if I come to your servant my father and the boy is not with us – since his own life is bound up in his life –
B’reisheet 44:31 then it shall be, when he sees that the boy is not with us, that he shall die. So your servants shall bring down the grey hair of your servant our father with evil to the grave.
B’reisheet 44:32 “For your servant went guaranty for the boy to my father, saying, ‘If I do not bring him back to you, then I shall be a sinner before my father forever.’
B’reisheet 44:33 “And now, please let your servant remain instead of the boy as a slave to my master, and let the boy go up with his brothers.
B’reisheet 44:34 “For how do I go up to my father if the boy is not with me, lest I see the evil that would come upon my father?”
B’reisheet 45:1 And Yosĕf was unable to restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he called out, “Have everyone go out from me!” So no one stood with him while Yosĕf made himself known to his brothers.
B’reisheet 45:2 And he wept aloud, and the Mitsrites and the house of Pharaoh heard it.
B’reisheet 45:3 And Yosĕf said to his brothers, “I am Yosĕf, is my father still alive?” But his brothers were unable to answer him, for they trembled before him.
B’reisheet 45:4 Then Yosĕf said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” And when they came near, he said, “I am Yosĕf your brother, whom you sold into Mitsrayim.
B’reisheet 45:5 “And now, do not be grieved nor displeased with yourselves because you sold me here, for Elohim sent me before you to preserve life.
B’reisheet 45:6 “For two years now the scarcity of food has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there is neither plowing nor harvesting.
B’reisheet 45:7 “And Elohim sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to give life to you by a great escape.
B’reisheet 45:8 “So then, you did not send me here, but Elohim. And He has set me for a father to Pharaoh, and master of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Mitsrayim.
B’reisheet 45:9 “Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Yosĕf, “Elohim has made me master of all Mitsrayim. Come down to me, do not delay.
B’reisheet 45:10 “And you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and be near to me, you and your children, your children’s children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have.
B’reisheet 45:11 “And I shall provide for you there, lest you and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty, because five years of scarcity of food are still to come.” ’
B’reisheet 45:12 “And look, your eyes and the eyes of my brother Binyamin see that it is my mouth that speaks to you.
B’reisheet 45:13 “And you shall inform my father of all my esteem in Mitsrayim, and of all that you have seen. And you shall hurry and bring my father down here.”
B’reisheet 45:14 And he fell on his brother Binyamin’s neck and wept, and Binyamin wept on his neck.
B’reisheet 45:15 And he kissed all his brothers and wept over them, and after that his brothers spoke with him.
B’reisheet 45:16 And the report of it was heard by the house of Pharaoh, saying, “The brothers of Yosĕf have come.” And it was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of his servants.
B’reisheet 45:17 And Pharaoh said to Yosĕf, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your beasts and go, enter the land of Kenaʽan,
B’reisheet 45:18 and take your father and your households and come to me, and I give you the best of the land of Mitsrayim, and you eat the fat of the land.
B’reisheet 45:19 ‘And you, you have been commanded, do this: Take wagons out of the land of Mitsrayim for your little ones and your wives. And you shall bring your father, and come.
B’reisheet 45:20 ‘And do not be concerned about your goods, for the best of all the land of Mitsrayim is yours.’ ”
B’reisheet 45:21 And the sons of Yisra’ĕl did so. And Yosĕf gave them wagons, according to the command of Pharaoh, and he gave them food for the journey.
B’reisheet 45:22 He gave to all of them, to each man, changes of garments, but to Binyamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five changes of garments.
B’reisheet 45:23 And he sent to his father this: ten donkeys loaded with the best of Mitsrayim, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain, and bread, and food for his father for the journey.
B’reisheet 45:24 So he sent his brothers away, and they left. And he said to them, “Do not quarrel along the way.”
B’reisheet 45:25 And they went up out of Mitsrayim, and came to the land of Kenaʽan to Ya`akov̱ their father.
B’reisheet 45:26 And they told him, saying, “Yosĕf is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Mitsrayim.” And Ya`akov’s heart ceased, for he did not believe them.
B’reisheet 45:27 But when they spoke to him all the words which Yosĕf had spoken to them, and when he saw the wagons which Yosĕf had sent to transport him, the spirit of Ya`akov̱ their father revived.
B’reisheet 45:28 And Yisra’ĕl said, “Enough! My son Yosĕf is still alive. Let me go and see him before I die.”
B’reisheet 46:1 And Yisra’ĕl set out with all that he had, and came to Be’ĕrsheḇa, and brought offerings to the Elohim of his father Yitzchak.
B’reisheet 46:2 And Elohim spoke to Yisra’ĕl in the visions of the night, and said, “Ya`akov̱, Ya`akov̱!” And he said, “Here I am.”
B’reisheet 46:3 And He said, “I am the Ěl, Elohim of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Mitsrayim, for I shall make you there into a great nation.
B’reisheet 46:4 “I Myself am going down with you to Mitsrayim and I Myself shall certainly bring you up again. And let Yosĕf put his hand on your eyes.”
B’reisheet 46:5 And Ya`akov̱ rose up from Be’ĕrsheḇa. And the sons of Yisra’ĕl brought their father Ya`akov̱, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to transport him.
B’reisheet 46:6 And they took their livestock and their property which they had acquired in the land of Kenaʽan, and came into Mitsrayim, Ya`akov̱ and all his seed with him.
B’reisheet 46:7 His sons and his sons’ sons, his daughters and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed he brought with him to Mitsrayim.
B’reisheet 46:8 And these were the names of the children of Yisra’ĕl, Ya`akov̱ and his sons, who came into Mitsrayim: Re’uḇĕn was Ya`akov’s first-born.
B’reisheet 46:9 And the sons of Re’uḇĕn: Ḥanoḵ, and Pallu, and Ḥetsron, and Karmi.
B’reisheet 46:10 And the sons of Shimʽon: Yemu’ĕl, and Yamin, and Ohaḏ, and Yaḵin, and Tsoḥar, and Sha’ul, son of a Kenaʽanite woman.
B’reisheet 46:11 And the sons of Lĕwi: Gĕreshon, Qehath, and Merari.
B’reisheet 46:12 And the sons of Yehuḏah: Ěr, and Onan, and Shĕlah, and Perets, and Zeraḥ – but Ěr and Onan died in the land of Kenaʽan. And the sons of Perets were Ḥetsron and Ḥamul.
B’reisheet 46:13 And the sons of Yissasḵar: Tola, and Puwʽah, and Yoḇ, and Shimron.
B’reisheet 46:14 And the sons of Zeḇulun: Sereḏ, and Ělon, and Yaḥle’ĕl.
B’reisheet 46:15 These were the sons of Lĕ’ah, whom she bore to Ya`akov̱ in Paddan Aram, with his daughter Dinah. All the beings, his sons and his daughters, were thirty-three.
B’reisheet 46:16 And the sons of Gaḏ: Tsiphyon and Ḥaggi, Shuni and Etsbon, Ěri and Aroḏi, and Arĕli.
B’reisheet 46:17 And the sons of Ashĕr: Yimnah, and Yishwah, and Yishwi, and Beriʽah, and Seraḥ, their sister. And the sons of Beriʽah: Ḥeḇer and Malki’ĕl.
B’reisheet 46:18 These were the sons of Zilpah, whom Laḇan gave to Lĕ’ah his daughter. And these she bore to Ya`akov̱: sixteen beings.
B’reisheet 46:19 The sons of Raḥĕl, Ya`akov’s wife: Yosĕf and Binyamin.
B’reisheet 46:20 And to Yosĕf in the land of Mitsrayim were born Menashsheh and Ephrayim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Poti-Pherah priest of On, bore to him.
B’reisheet 46:21 And the sons of Binyamin: Belah, and Beḵer, and Ashbĕl, Gĕra and Naʽaman, Ěḥi and Rosh, Muppim and Ḥuppim, and Ard.
B’reisheet 46:22 These were the sons of Raḥĕl who were born to Ya`akov̱: fourteen beings in all.
B’reisheet 46:23 And the son of Dan: Ḥushim.
B’reisheet 46:24 And the sons of Naphtali: Yaḥtse’ĕl, and Guni, and Yĕtser, and Shillĕm.
B’reisheet 46:25 These were the sons of Bilhah, whom Laḇan gave to Raḥĕl his daughter, and she bore these to Ya`akov̱: seven beings in all.
B’reisheet 46:26 All the beings who went with Ya`akov̱ to Mitsrayim, who came from his body, besides Ya`akov’s sons’ wives, were sixty-six beings in all.
B’reisheet 46:27 And the sons of Yosĕf who were born to him in Mitsrayim were two beings. All the beings of the house of Ya`akov̱ who went to Mitsrayim were seventy.
B’reisheet 46:28 And he sent Yehuḏah before him to Yosĕf, to point out before him the way to Goshen. And they came to the land of Goshen.
B’reisheet 46:29 And Yosĕf made ready his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Yisra’ĕl. And he appeared to him, and fell on his neck and wept on his neck a long time.
B’reisheet 46:30 And Yisra’ĕl said to Yosĕf, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.”
B’reisheet 46:31 And Yosĕf said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “I am going up to inform Pharaoh, and say to him, ‘My brothers and those of my father’s house, who were in the land of Kenaʽan, have come to me.
B’reisheet 46:32 ‘And the men are shepherds, that they have been men of livestock, and they have brought their flocks and their herds, and all that they have.’
B’reisheet 46:33 “And it shall be, when Pharaoh calls you and says, ‘What is your occupation?’
B’reisheet 46:34 that you shall say, ‘Your servants have been men of livestock from our youth even till now, both we and also our fathers,’ so that you dwell in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Mitsrites.”
B’reisheet 47:1 Then Yosĕf went and spoke to Pharaoh, and said, “My father and my brothers, their flocks and their herds and all that they possess, have come from the land of Kenaʽan. And see, they are in the land of Goshen.”
B’reisheet 47:2 And he took five men from among his brothers and presented them to Pharaoh.
B’reisheet 47:3 And Pharaoh said to his brothers, “What is your occupation?” And they said to Pharaoh, “Your servants are shepherds, both we and also our fathers.”
B’reisheet 47:4 And they said to Pharaoh, “We have come to dwell in the land, because there is no pasture for your servant’s flocks, for the scarcity of food is severe in the land of Kenaʽan. And now, please let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.”
B’reisheet 47:5 And Pharaoh spoke to Yosĕf, saying, “Your father and your brothers have come to you.
B’reisheet 47:6 “The land of Mitsrayim is before you. Settle your father and brothers in the best of the land, let them dwell in the land of Goshen. And if you know of capable men among them, then make them chief herdsmen over my livestock.”
B’reisheet 47:7 And Yosĕf brought in his father Ya`akov̱ and set him before Pharaoh. And Ya`akov̱ blessed Pharaoh.
B’reisheet 47:8 And Pharaoh said to Ya`akov̱, “How old are you?”
B’reisheet 47:9 And Ya`akov̱ said to Pharaoh, “The days of the years of my sojournings are one hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not reached the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their sojournings.”
B’reisheet 47:10 And Ya`akov̱ blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh.
B’reisheet 47:11 So Yosĕf settled his father and his brothers, and gave them a possession in the land of Mitsrayim, in the best of the land, in the land of Raʽmeses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
B’reisheet 47:12 And Yosĕf provided his father, and his brothers, and all his father’s household with bread for the mouth of the little ones.
B’reisheet 47:13 Now there was no bread in all the land, because the scarcity of food was very severe, and the land of Mitsrayim and all the land of Kenaʽan became exhausted from the scarcity of food.
B’reisheet 47:14 And Yosĕf gathered up all the silver that was found in the land of Mitsrayim and in the land of Kenaʽan, for the grain which they bought. And Yosĕf brought the silver into Pharaoh’s house.
B’reisheet 47:15 And when the silver was all spent in the land of Mitsrayim and in the land of Kenaʽan, all the Mitsrites came to Yosĕf and said, “Give us bread, for why should we die in your presence? For the silver is gone!”
B’reisheet 47:16 And Yosĕf said, “Give your livestock, and I give you bread for your livestock, if the silver is gone.”
B’reisheet 47:17 So they brought their livestock to Yosĕf, and Yosĕf gave them bread in exchange for the horses, and for the flocks they owned, and for the herds they owned, and for the donkeys. Thus he fed them with bread in exchange for all their livestock that year.
B’reisheet 47:18 And when that year had ended, they came to him the next year and said to him, “We do not hide from my master that our silver is all spent, and my master also has the livestock we owned. There has not any been left before my master but our bodies and our lands.
B’reisheet 47:19 “Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread, and let us and our land be servants of Pharaoh. And give us seed, and let us live and not die, and let the land not lie waste.”
B’reisheet 47:20 And Yosĕf bought the entire land of Mitsrayim for Pharaoh, because every man of the Mitsrites sold his field, because the scarcity of food was severe upon them. And the land came to be Pharaoh’s.
B’reisheet 47:21 And as for the people, he moved them into the cities, from one end of the borders of Mitsrayim to the other end.
B’reisheet 47:22 Only the ground of the priests he did not buy, for the priests had portions allotted to them by Pharaoh, and they ate their portions which Pharaoh gave them. Therefore they did not sell their ground.
B’reisheet 47:23 And Yosĕf said to the people, “Look, I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh. Look, here is seed for you, and you shall sow the land.
B’reisheet 47:24 “And it shall be that in the harvest you shall give one-fifth to Pharaoh. And four-fifths is your own, as seed for the field and for your food, for those of your households and as food for your little ones.”
B’reisheet 47:25 And they said, “You have saved our lives. Let us find favor in the eyes of my master, and we shall become Pharaoh’s slaves.”
B’reisheet 47:26 And Yosĕf made it a law over the land of Mitsrayim to this day, that Pharaoh should have one-fifth, except for the ground of the priests only, which did not become Pharaoh’s.
B’reisheet 47:27 And Yisra’ĕl dwelt in the land of Mitsrayim, in the land of Goshen. And they had possessions there and bore fruit and increased exceedingly.
B’reisheet 44:18 And Yehuḏah came near to him and said, “O my master, please let your servant speak a word in my master’s hearing, and do not let your displeasure burn against your servant, for you are like Pharaoh.
B’reisheet 44:19 “My master asked his servants, saying, ‘Have you a father or a brother?’
B’reisheet 44:20 “And we said to my master, ‘We have a father, an old man, and a young child of his old age, and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother’s children, and his father loves him.’
B’reisheet 44:21 “And you said to your servants, ‘Bring him down to me, and let me set my eyes on him.’
B’reisheet 44:22 “And we said to my master, ‘The boy is not able to leave his father, for if he leaves his father, his father shall die.’
B’reisheet 44:23 “But you said to your servants, ‘Unless your youngest brother comes down with you, you do not see my face again.’
B’reisheet 44:24 “And it came to be, when we went up to your servant my father, that we told him the words of my master.
B’reisheet 44:25 “And our father said, ‘Go back and buy us a little food.’
B’reisheet 44:26 “But we said, ‘We are not able to go down. If our youngest brother is with us, then we shall go down, for we are not able to see the man’s face unless our youngest brother is with us.’
B’reisheet 44:27 “Then your servant my father said to us, ‘You know that my wife bore me two sons,
B’reisheet 44:28 and the one went out from me, and I said, “Truly, he is torn, torn to pieces!” And I have not seen him since.
B’reisheet 44:29 ‘And if you take this one from me too, and harm comes to him, you shall bring down my grey hair with evil to the grave.’
B’reisheet 44:30 “And now, if I come to your servant my father and the boy is not with us – since his own life is bound up in his life –
B’reisheet 44:31 then it shall be, when he sees that the boy is not with us, that he shall die. So your servants shall bring down the grey hair of your servant our father with evil to the grave.
B’reisheet 44:32 “For your servant went guaranty for the boy to my father, saying, ‘If I do not bring him back to you, then I shall be a sinner before my father forever.’
B’reisheet 44:33 “And now, please let your servant remain instead of the boy as a slave to my master, and let the boy go up with his brothers.
B’reisheet 44:34 “For how do I go up to my father if the boy is not with me, lest I see the evil that would come upon my father?”
B’reisheet 45:1 And Yosĕf was unable to restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he called out, “Have everyone go out from me!” So no one stood with him while Yosĕf made himself known to his brothers.
B’reisheet 45:2 And he wept aloud, and the Mitsrites and the house of Pharaoh heard it.
B’reisheet 45:3 And Yosĕf said to his brothers, “I am Yosĕf, is my father still alive?” But his brothers were unable to answer him, for they trembled before him.
B’reisheet 45:4 Then Yosĕf said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” And when they came near, he said, “I am Yosĕf your brother, whom you sold into Mitsrayim.
B’reisheet 45:5 “And now, do not be grieved nor displeased with yourselves because you sold me here, for Elohim sent me before you to preserve life.
B’reisheet 45:6 “For two years now the scarcity of food has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there is neither plowing nor harvesting.
B’reisheet 45:7 “And Elohim sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to give life to you by a great escape.

B’reisheet 46:33 “And it shall be, when Pharaoh calls you and says, ‘What is your occupation?’
B’reisheet 46:34 that you shall say, ‘Your servants have been men of livestock from our youth even till now, both we and also our fathers,’ so that you dwell in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Mitsrites.”
B’reisheet 47:1 Then Yosĕf went and spoke to Pharaoh, and said, “My father and my brothers, their flocks and their herds and all that they possess, have come from the land of Kenaʽan. And see, they are in the land of Goshen.”
B’reisheet 47:2 And he took five men from among his brothers and presented them to Pharaoh.
B’reisheet 47:3 And Pharaoh said to his brothers, “What is your occupation?” And they said to Pharaoh, “Your servants are shepherds, both we and also our fathers.”
B’reisheet 47:4 And they said to Pharaoh, “We have come to dwell in the land, because there is no pasture for your servant’s flocks, for the scarcity of food is severe in the land of Kenaʽan. And now, please let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.”
B’reisheet 47:5 And Pharaoh spoke to Yosĕf, saying, “Your father and your brothers have come to you.
B’reisheet 47:6 “The land of Mitsrayim is before you. Settle your father and brothers in the best of the land, let them dwell in the land of Goshen. And if you know of capable men among them, then make them chief herdsmen over my livestock.”
B’reisheet 47:7 And Yosĕf brought in his father Ya`akov̱ and set him before Pharaoh. And Ya`akov̱ blessed Pharaoh.
B’reisheet 47:8 And Pharaoh said to Ya`akov̱, “How old are you?”
B’reisheet 47:9 And Ya`akov̱ said to Pharaoh, “The days of the years of my sojournings are one hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not reached the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their sojournings.”
B’reisheet 47:10 And Ya`akov̱ blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh.
B’reisheet 47:11 So Yosĕf settled his father and his brothers, and gave them a possession in the land of Mitsrayim, in the best of the land, in the land of Raʽmeses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
B’reisheet 47:12 And Yosĕf provided his father, and his brothers, and all his father’s household with bread for the mouth of the little ones.
B’reisheet 47:13 Now there was no bread in all the land, because the scarcity of food was very severe, and the land of Mitsrayim and all the land of Kenaʽan became exhausted from the scarcity of food.
B’reisheet 47:14 And Yosĕf gathered up all the silver that was found in the land of Mitsrayim and in the land of Kenaʽan, for the grain which they bought. And Yosĕf brought the silver into Pharaoh’s house.
B’reisheet 47:15 And when the silver was all spent in the land of Mitsrayim and in the land of Kenaʽan, all the Mitsrites came to Yosĕf and said, “Give us bread, for why should we die in your presence? For the silver is gone!”
B’reisheet 47:16 And Yosĕf said, “Give your livestock, and I give you bread for your livestock, if the silver is gone.”
B’reisheet 47:17 So they brought their livestock to Yosĕf, and Yosĕf gave them bread in exchange for the horses, and for the flocks they owned, and for the herds they owned, and for the donkeys. Thus he fed them with bread in exchange for all their livestock that year.
B’reisheet 47:18 And when that year had ended, they came to him the next year and said to him, “We do not hide from my master that our silver is all spent, and my master also has the livestock we owned. There has not any been left before my master but our bodies and our lands.
B’reisheet 47:19 “Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread, and let us and our land be servants of Pharaoh. And give us seed, and let us live and not die, and let the land not lie waste.”
B’reisheet 47:20 And Yosĕf bought the entire land of Mitsrayim for Pharaoh, because every man of the Mitsrites sold his field, because the scarcity of food was severe upon them. And the land came to be Pharaoh’s.
B’reisheet 47:21 And as for the people, he moved them into the cities, from one end of the borders of Mitsrayim to the other end.
B’reisheet 47:22 Only the ground of the priests he did not buy, for the priests had portions allotted to them by Pharaoh, and they ate their portions which Pharaoh gave them. Therefore they did not sell their ground.
B’reisheet 47:23 And Yosĕf said to the people, “Look, I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh. Look, here is seed for you, and you shall sow the land.
B’reisheet 47:24 “And it shall be that in the harvest you shall give one-fifth to Pharaoh. And four-fifths is your own, as seed for the field and for your food, for those of your households and as food for your little ones.”
B’reisheet 47:25 And they said, “You have saved our lives. Let us find favor in the eyes of my master, and we shall become Pharaoh’s slaves.”
B’reisheet 47:26 And Yosĕf made it a law over the land of Mitsrayim to this day, that Pharaoh should have one-fifth, except for the ground of the priests only, which did not become Pharaoh’s.
B’reisheet 47:27 And Yisra’ĕl dwelt in the land of Mitsrayim, in the land of Goshen. And they had possessions there and bore fruit and increased exceedingly.
