Hoshea 11:7 ועמי תלואים למשׁובתי ואל־על יקראהו יחד לא ירומם׃
Hoshea 11:8 איך אתנך אפרים אמגנך ישׂראל איך אתנך כאדמה אשׂימך כצבאים נהפך עלי לבי יחד נכמרו נחומי׃
Hoshea 11:9 לא אעשׂה חרון אפי לא אשׁוב לשׁחת אפרים כי אל אנכי ולא־אישׁ בקרבך קדושׁ ולא אבוא בעיר׃
Hoshea 11:10 אחרי יהוה ילכו כאריה ישׁאג כי־הוא ישׁאג ויחרדו בנים מים׃
Hoshea 11:11 יחרדו כצפור ממצרים וכיונה מארץ אשׁור והושׁבתים על־בתיהם נאם־יהוה׃
Hoshea 11:12 (12:1) סבבני בכחשׁ אפרים ובמרמה בית ישׂראל ויהודה עד רד עם־אל ועם־קדושׁים נאמן׃
Hoshea 12:1 (12:2) אפרים רעה רוח ורדף קדים כל־היום כזב ושׁד ירבה וברית עם־אשׁור יכרתו ושׁמן למצרים יובל׃
Hoshea 12:2 (12:3) וריב ליהוה עם־יהודה ולפקד על־יעקב כדרכיו כמעלליו ישׁיב לו׃
Hoshea 12:3 (12:4) בבטן עקב את־אחיו ובאונו שׂרה את־אלהים׃
Hoshea 12:4 (12:5) וישׂר אל־מלאך ויכל בכה ויתחנן־לו בית־אל ימצאנו ושׁם ידבר עמנו׃
Hoshea 12:5 (12:6) ויהוה אלהי הצבאות יהוה זכרו׃
Hoshea 12:6 (12:7) ואתה באלהיך תשׁוב חסד ומשׁפט שׁמר וקוה אל־אלהיך תמיד׃
Hoshea 12:7 (12:8) כנען בידו מאזני מרמה לעשׁק אהב׃
Hoshea 12:8 (12:9) ויאמר אפרים אך עשׁרתי מצאתי און לי כל־יגיעי לא ימצאו־לי עון אשׁר־חטא׃
Hoshea 12:9 (12:10) ואנכי יהוה אלהיך מארץ מצרים עד אושׁיבך באהלים כימי מועד׃
Hoshea 12:10 (12:11) ודברתי על־הנביאים ואנכי חזון הרביתי וביד הנביאים אדמה׃
Hoshea 12:11 (12:12) אם־גלעד און אך־שׁוא היו בגלגל שׁורים זבחו גם מזבחותם כגלים על תלמי שׂדי׃
Hoshea 12:12 (12:13) ויברח יעקב שׂדה ארם ויעבד ישׂראל באשׁה ובאשׁה שׁמר׃
Ova 1:1 חזון עבדיה כה־אמר אדני יהוה לאדום שׁמועה שׁמענו מאת יהוה וציר בגוים שׁלח קומו ונקומה עליה למלחמה׃
Ova 1:2 הנה קטן נתתיך בגוים בזוי אתה מאד׃
Ova 1:3 זדון לבך השׁיאך שׁכני בחגוי־סלע מרום שׁבתו אמר בלבו מי יורדני ארץ׃
Ova 1:4 אם־תגביה כנשׁר ואם־בין כוכבים שׂים קנך משׁם אורידך נאם־יהוה׃
Ova 1:5 אם־גנבים באו־לך אם־שׁודדי לילה איך נדמיתה הלוא יגנבו דים אם־בצרים באו לך הלוא ישׁאירו עללות׃
Ova 1:6 איך נחפשׂו עשׂו נבעו מצפניו׃
Ova 1:7 עד־הגבול שׁלחוך כל אנשׁי בריתך השׁיאוך יכלו לך אנשׁי שׁלמך לחמך ישׂימו מזור תחתיך אין תבונה בו׃
Ova 1:8 הלוא ביום ההוא נאם יהוה והאבדתי חכמים מאדום ותבונה מהר עשׂו׃
Ova 1:9 וחתו גבוריך תימן למען יכרת־אישׁ מהר עשׂו מקטל׃
Ova 1:10 מחמס אחיך יעקב תכסך בושׁה ונכרת לעולם׃
Ova 1:11 ביום עמדך מנגד ביום שׁבות זרים חילו ונכרים באו שׁערו ועל־ירושׁלם ידו גורל גם־אתה כאחד מהם׃
Ova 1:12 ואל־תרא ביום־אחיך ביום נכרו ואל־תשׂמח לבני־יהודה ביום אבדם ואל־תגדל פיך ביום צרה׃
Ova 1:13 אל־תבוא בשׁער־עמי ביום אידם אל־תרא גם־אתה ברעתו ביום אידו ואל־תשׁלחנה בחילו ביום אידו׃
Ova 1:14 ואל־תעמד על־הפרק להכרית את־פליטיו ואל־תסגר שׂרידיו ביום צרה׃
Ova 1:15 כי־קרוב יום־יהוה על־כל־הגוים כאשׁר עשׂית יעשׂה לך גמלך ישׁוב בראשׁך׃
Ova 1:16 כי כאשׁר שׁתיתם על־הר קדשׁי ישׁתו כל־הגוים תמיד ושׁתו ולעו והיו כלוא היו׃
Ova 1:17 ובהר ציון תהיה פליטה והיה קדשׁ וירשׁו בית יעקב את מורשׁיהם׃
Ova 1:18 והיה בית־יעקב אשׁ ובית יוסף להבה ובית עשׂו לקשׁ ודלקו בהם ואכלום ולא־יהיה שׂריד לבית עשׂו כי יהוה דבר׃
Ova 1:19 וירשׁו הנגב את־הר עשׂו והשׁפלה את־פלשׁתים וירשׁו את־שׂדה אפרים ואת שׂדה שׁמרון ובנימן את־הגלעד׃
Ova 1:20 וגלת החל־הזה לבני ישׂראל אשׁר־כנענים עד־צרפת וגלת ירושׁלם אשׁר בספרד ירשׁו את ערי הנגב׃
Ova 1:21 ועלו מושׁעים בהר ציון לשׁפט את־הר עשׂו והיתה ליהוה המלוכה׃

Hoshea 11:7 - 12:12, Ovadyah 1:1-21
Hoshea 11:7 “My people are bent towards backsliding from Me. Though they call to the Most High, He lifts none of them up.
Hoshea 11:8 “How could I give you up, Ephrayim? How could I hand you over, Yisra’ĕl? How could I make you like Aḏmah? How could I set you like Tseḇoyim? My heart turns within Me, all My compassion is kindled.
Hoshea 11:9 “I shall not let the heat of My wrath burn, I shall not turn to destroy Ephrayim. For I am Ěl, and not man, the Kadosh One in your midst, and I shall not come in enmity.
Hoshea 11:10 “Let them follow יהוה. Like a lion He roars. When He roars, then sons shall tremble from the west.
Hoshea 11:11 “They shall tremble like a bird from Mitsrayim, and like a dove from the land of Ashshur. And I shall let them dwell in their own houses,” declares יהוה.
Hoshea 11:12 “Ephrayim has surrounded Me with lying, and the house of Yisra’ĕl with deceit. But Yehuḏah is still wandering with Ěl, and is true to the Kadosh One.”
Hoshea 12:1 Ephrayim is feeding on wind, and pursuing an east wind. All the day he increases falsehood and ruin. And they make a covenant with Ashshur, and oil is sent to Mitsrayim.
Hoshea 12:2 And יהוה has a controversy with Yehuḏah, to punish Ya`akov̱ according to his ways, to repay him according to his deeds.
Hoshea 12:3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and in his strength he strove with Elohim.
Hoshea 12:4 He strove with the Messenger and overcame1, he wept and sought His favor. He found Him in Bĕyth Ěl, and there He spoke to us – Footnote: 1Gen. 32:28.
Hoshea 12:5 even יהוה Elohim of Hosts, יהוה is His remembrance.
Hoshea 12:6 Therefore, return to your Elohim. Guard kindness and righteous-ruling, and wait on your Elohim continually.
Hoshea 12:7 A merchant! In his hand are scales of deceit, he loved to oppress.
Hoshea 12:8 And Ephrayim says, “Indeed, I have become rich, I have found wealth for myself. In all my labors they shall find in me no crookedness that is sin.”
Hoshea 12:9 “But I am יהוה your Elohim since the land of Mitsrayim, again I shall make you dwell in tents as in the days of the moed1. Footnote: 1Or festival.
Hoshea 12:10 “And I have spoken to the nevi’im, and have increased visions. And through the nevi’im I gave parables.”
Hoshea 12:11 Is Gilʽaḏ wicked? Certainly, they have been false! In Gilgal they have offered bulls. Also their altars are as heaps on a ploughed field.
Hoshea 12:12 And when Ya`akov̱ fled to the country of Aram, Yisra’ĕl served for a wife, and for a wife he kept watch.
Ova 1:1 The vision of Oḇaḏyah: This is what the Master יהוה said concerning Eḏom. We have heard a report from יהוה, and a messenger has been sent among the nations, saying, “Arise, and let us rise up against her for battle!”
Ova 1:2 “See, I have made you small among the nations, you are greatly despised.
Ova 1:3 “The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose dwelling is high, who say in your heart, ‘Who shall bring me down to the ground?’
Ova 1:4 “Though you rise high as the eagle, and though you set your nest among the stars, from there I shall bring you down,” declares יהוה.
Ova 1:5 “If thieves came to you, if robbers by night, how ruined you would have been! Would they not steal till they had enough? If grape-gatherers had come to you, would they not leave gleanings?
Ova 1:6 “How Ěsaw shall be searched out! His hidden treasures shall be sought out!
Ova 1:7 “All your allies shall send you forth to the border, your friends shall deceive you and overpower you. They make your bread a snare under you, without you discerning it!
Ova 1:8 “In that day,” declares יהוה, “I shall destroy the wise men from Eḏom, and discernment from the mountains of Ěsaw!
Ova 1:9 “And your mighty men shall be discouraged, O Tĕman, so that everyone from the mountains of Ěsaw is cut off by slaughter.
Ova 1:10 “Because of your violence against your brother Yaʽakov, let shame cover you. And you shall be cut off forever.
Ova 1:11 “In the day that you stood on the other side, in the day that strangers took captive his wealth, when foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Yerushalayim, you also were like one of them!
Ova 1:12 “And you should not have looked on your brother’s day in the day of his estrangement, nor rejoiced over the children of Yehuḏah in the day of their destruction, nor made your mouth great in the day of distress,
Ova 1:13 nor have entered the gate of My people in the day of their calamity, nor looked down on their evil in the day of their calamity, nor have seized their wealth in the day of their calamity,
Ova 1:14 nor have stood at the parting of the way to cut off his fugitives, nor handed over his survivors in the day of distress.
Ova 1:15 “For the day of יהוה is near upon all the gentiles. As you have done, it shall be done to you, your reward shall come back on your own head.
Ova 1:16 “For as you have drunk on my kadosh mountain, so do all the gentiles drink continually. And they shall drink and shall swallow, and they shall be as though they had never been.
Ova 1:17 “But on Mount Tsiyon there shall be an escape1, and they shall be set-apart. And the house of Yaʽakov shall possess their possessions.
Ova 1:18 “And the house of Yaʽakov shall be a fire, and the house of Yosĕph a flame, but the house of Ěsaw for stubble. And they shall burn among them and they shall consume them, so that no survivor is left of the house of Ěsaw.” For יהוה has spoken.
Ova 1:19 And they shall possess the South with the mountains of Ěsaw, and low country with the Philistines. And they shall possess the fields of Ephrayim and the fields of Shomeron, and Binyamin with Gilʽaḏ,
Ova 1:20 and the exiles of this host of the children of Yisra’ĕl possess that of the Kenaʽanites as far as Tsarephath, and the exiles of Yerushalayim who are in Sepharaḏ possess the cities of the South.
Ova 1:21 And saviours shall come to Mount Tsiyon to judge the mountains of Ěsaw. And the reign shall belong to יהוה1

Hos 13:2 ועתה יוספו לחטא ויעשׂו להם מסכה מכספם כתבונם עצבים מעשׂה חרשׁים כלה להם הם אמרים זבחי אדם עגלים ישׁקון׃
Hos 13:3 לכן יהיו כענן־בקר וכטל משׁכים הלך כמץ יסער מגרן וכעשׁן מארבה׃
Hos 13:4 ואנכי יהוה אלהיך מארץ מצרים ואלהים זולתי לא תדע ומושׁיע אין בלתי׃
Hos 13:5 אני ידעתיך במדבר בארץ תלאבות׃
Hos 13:6 כמרעיתם וישׂבעו שׂבעו וירם לבם על־כן שׁכחוני׃
Hos 13:7 ואהי להם כמו־שׁחל כנמר על־דרך אשׁור׃
Hos 13:8 אפגשׁם כדב שׁכול ואקרע סגור לבם ואכלם שׁם כלביא חית השׂדה תבקעם׃
Hos 13:9 שׁחתך ישׂראל כי־בי בעזרך׃
Hos 13:10 אהי מלכך אפוא ויושׁיעך בכל־עריך ושׁפטיך אשׁר אמרת תנה־לי מלך ושׂרים׃
Hos 13:11 אתן־לך מלך באפי ואקח בעברתי׃
Hos 13:12 צרור עון אפרים צפונה חטאתו׃
Hos 13:13 חבלי יולדה יבאו לו הוא־בן לא חכם כי־עת לא־יעמד במשׁבר בנים׃
Hos 13:14 מיד שׁאול אפדם ממות אגאלם אהי דבריך מות אהי קטבך שׁאול נחם יסתר מעיני׃
Hos 13:15 כי הוא בן אחים יפריא יבוא קדים רוח יהוה ממדבר עלה ויבושׁ מקורו ויחרב מעינו הוא ישׁסה אוצר כל־כלי חמדה׃

Hos 14:2 (14:3) קחו עמכם דברים ושׁובו אל־יהוה אמרו אליו כל־תשׂא עון וקח־טוב ונשׁלמה פרים שׂפתינו׃
Hos 14:3 (14:4) אשׁור לא יושׁיענו על־סוס לא נרכב ולא־נאמר עוד אלהינו למעשׂה ידינו אשׁר־בך ירחם יתום׃
Hos 14:4 (14:5) ארפא משׁובתם אהבם נדבה כי שׁב אפי ממנו׃
Hos 14:5 (14:6) אהיה כטל לישׂראל יפרח כשׁושׁנה ויך שׁרשׁיו כלבנון׃
Hos 14:6 (14:7) ילכו ינקותיו ויהי כזית הודו וריח לו כלבנון׃
Hos 14:7 (14:8) ישׁבו ישׁבי בצלו יחיו דגן ויפרחו כגפן זכרו כיין לבנון׃

Hos 14:9 (14:10) מי חכם ויבן אלה נבון וידעם כי־ישׁרים דרכי יהוה וצדקים ילכו בם ופשׁעים יכשׁלו בם׃

Hos 12:12 And when Yaʽaqoḇ fled to the country of Aram, Yisra’ĕl served for a wife, and for a wife he kept watch.
Hos 12:13 And by a prophet יהוה brought Yisra’ĕl out of Mitsrayim, and by a prophet he was watched over.
Hos 12:14 Ephrayim has provoked most bitterly. So his Master left his blood-guilt on him, and repaid him for his reproach.
Hos 13:1 When Ephrayim spoke there was trembling, he was lifted up in Yisra’ĕl. But through Baʽal he became guilty, and he died.
Hos 13:2 And now they sin more and more, and make for themselves moulded images from their silver, idols according to their skill, all of them the work of craftsmen. They say of them, “Let the men who slaughter kiss the calves!”
Hos 13:3 Therefore they shall be like a morning cloud, and like dew that goes away early, like chaff blown off from a threshing-floor, and like smoke from a window.
Hos 13:4 “But I am יהוה your Elohim since the land of Mitsrayim, and an Elohim besides Me you shall not know, for there is no Saviour besides Me.
Hos 13:5 “I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought.
Hos 13:6 “When they were fed they were satisfied. They were satisfied and their heart was exalted, therefore they forgot Me.
Hos 13:7 “So I am become like a lion to them, like a leopard I watch by the way,
Hos 13:8 like a bear robbed of her young I attack them and rip open the enclosure of their heart. And there I devour them like a lion, a wild beast tear them apart.
Hos 13:9 “You have destroyed yourself, O Yisra’ĕl, but your help is in Me.
Hos 13:10 “Where is your sovereign now to save you in all your cities, and your rulers of whom you said, ‘Give me a sovereign and rulers’?
Hos 13:11 “I gave you a sovereign in My displeasure, but I took him away in My wrath.
Hos 13:12 “The crookedness of Ephrayim is bound up, his sin is hidden.
Hos 13:13 “Pains of a woman in labour shall come upon him. He is not a wise son, for it is not the time that he should delay at the breaking forth of children.
Hos 13:14 “From the power of the grave I ransom them, from death I redeem them. Where is your plague, O Death? Where is your destruction, O Grave? Repentance is hidden from My eyes.
Hos 13:15 “Though he bears fruit among his brothers, an east wind comes, a wind from יהוה comes up from the wilderness, and it dries up his fountain, and his spring becomes dry – it plunders a treasure of all desirable objects.
Hos 13:16 “Shomeron is held guilty, for she has rebelled against her Elohim – they fall by the sword, their infants are dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open.”
Hos 14:1 O Yisra’ĕl, return to יהוה your Elohim, for you have stumbled by your crookedness.
Hos 14:2 Take words with you, and return to יהוה. Say to Him, “Take away all crookedness, and accept what is good, and we render the bulls of our lips1. Footnote: 1Heb. 13:15 - bulls, referring to offerings.
Hos 14:3 “Ashshur does not save us. We do not ride on horses, nor ever again do we say to the work of our hands, ‘Our elohim.’ For the fatherless finds compassion in You.”
Hos 14:4 “I shall heal their backsliding, I shall love them spontaneously, for My displeasure has turned away from him.
Hos 14:5 “I shall be like the dew to Yisra’ĕl. He shall blossom like the lily, and cast out his roots like Leḇanon.
Hos 14:6 “His branches shall spread, and his splendor shall be like an olive tree, and his fragrance like Leḇanon.
Hos 14:7 “Those who dwell under his shadow shall return. They shall revive like grain, and blossom like the vine, and become as fragrant as the wine of Leḇanon.
Hos 14:8 “What more has Ephrayim to do with idols? It is I who answer and look after him. I am like a green cypress tree, your fruit comes from Me.”
Hos 14:9 Who is wise and understands these words, discerning and knows them? For the ways of יהוה are straight, and the righteous walk in them, but the transgressors stumble in them.
