Yochanan 18-21
Yochanan 18:1 ויהי ככלות ישוע לדבר את־הדברים האלה ויצא החוצה עם־תלמידיו אל־עבר לנחל קדרון ושם היה גן ויבא בו הוא ותלמידיו׃
Yochanan 18:2 וגם־יהודה מוסרו ידע את־המקום כי־פעמים רבות נועד שמה ישוע עם־תלמידיו׃
Yochanan 18:3 ויקח יהודה את־הגדוד ומשרתים מאת ראשי הכהנים והפרושים ויבא שמה בנרות ובלפידים ובכלי־נשק׃
Yochanan 18:4 וישוע ידע את כל־אשר יבא עליו ויצא ויאמר אליהם את־מי תבקשו׃
Yochanan 18:5 ויענו ויאמרו את־ישוע הנצרי ויאמר אליהם ישוע אני הוא וגם־יהודה מוסרו עמד אצלם׃
Yochanan 18:6 ויהי באמר ישוע אליהם אני הוא ויסגו אחור ויפלו ארצה׃
Yochanan 18:7 ויסף ויאמר אליהם את־מי תבקשו ויאמרו את־ישוע הנצרי׃
Yochanan 18:8 ויען ישוע ויאמר הלא אמרתי לכם אני הוא לכן אם־אתי תבקשו הניחו לאלה וילכו׃
Yochanan 18:9 למלאת הדבר אשר דבר אשר נתתם לי מאלה לא־אבד לי אף־אחד׃
Yochanan 18:10 ולשמעון פטרוס חרב וישלפה ויך את־עבד הכהן הגדול ויקצץ את־אזנו הימנית ושם העבד מלכוס׃
Yochanan 18:11 ויאמר ישוע אל־פטרוס השב חרבך אל־נדנה הלא־אשתה את־הכוס אשר נתן־לי אבי׃
Yochanan 18:12 אז תפשו הגדוד ושר האלף ומשרתי היהודים את־ישוע ויאסרהו׃
Yochanan 18:13 ויוליכהו בראשונה אל־חנן כי הוא היה חותן קיפא אשר שמש בכהנה גדולה בשנה ההיא׃
Yochanan 18:14 הוא קיפא אשר יעץ את־היהודים לאמר טוב אשר איש־אחד יאבד בעד כל־העם׃
Yochanan 18:15 ושמעון פטרוס ותלמיד אחר הלכו אחרי ישוע והתלמיד ההוא היה נודע לכהן הגדול ויבא עם־ישוע לחצר הכהן הגדול׃
Yochanan 18:16 ופטרוס עמד מחוץ לשער ויצא התלמיד האחר הנודע לכהן הגדול וידבר אל־השערת ויבא את־פטרוס הביתה׃
Yochanan 18:17 ותאמר האמה השערת אל־פטרוס הלא גם־אתה מתלמידי האיש הזה ויאמר לא׃
Yochanan 18:18 והעבדים והמשרתים הדליקו אש גחלים מפני הקר ויעמדו ויתחממו וגם־פטרוס עמד עמם ומתחמם׃
Yochanan 18:19 וישאל הכהן הגדול את־ישוע על־תלמידיו ועל־לקחו׃
Yochanan 18:20 ויען ישוע ויאמר אליו אנכי דברתי באזני כל־העולם ותמיד למדתי בבית כנסת ובבית המקדש אשר כל־היהודים נקהלים שמה ולא־דברתי דבר בסתר׃
Yochanan 18:21 ומה־תשאל אתי שאל־נא את־השמעים מה־שדברתי אליהם הנם יודעים את־אשר אמרתי׃
Yochanan 18:22 ויהי כדברו הדברים האלה ויך אחד המשרתים העמד שמה את־ישוע על־הלחי ויאמר הכזאת תענה את־הכהן הגדול׃
Yochanan 18:23 ויען אותו ישוע אם־רעה דברתי הגד רעתי ואם־טוב מדוע תכה לחיי׃
Yochanan 18:24 וישלחהו חנן אסור באזיקים אל־קיפא הכהן הגדול׃
Yochanan 18:25 ושמעון פטרוס עמד ומתחמם ויאמרו אליו הלא גם־אתה מתלמידיו ויכחש ויאמר לא׃
Yochanan 18:26 ויאמר איש מעבדי הכהן הגדול והוא מודע לאשר קצץ פטרוס את־אזנו הלא ראיתיך עמו בגן׃
Yochanan 18:27 ויסף פטרוס ויכחש ופתאם קרא התרנגול׃
Yochanan 18:28 ויהי בבקר השכם ויוליכו את־ישוע מבית קיפא אל־בית המשפט והמה לא נכנסו שמה למען אשר לא־יטמאו כי אם־יאכלו את־הפסח׃
Yochanan 18:29 ויצא פילטוס אליהם ויאמר מה־תאשימו את־האיש הזה׃
Yochanan 18:30 ויענו ויאמרו אליו לולא היה זה עשה רע כי עתה לא הסגרנהו אליך׃
Yochanan 18:31 ויאמר אליהם פילטוס קחו אתו אתם ושפטהו כתורתכם ויאמרו אליו היהודים אין־לנו רשות להמית איש׃
Yochanan 18:32 למלאת דבר ישוע אשר דבר לרמז אי־זו מיתה סופו למות׃
Yochanan 18:33 וישב פילטוס אל־בית המשפט ויקרא אל־ישוע ויאמר אליו האתה הוא מלך היהודים׃
Yochanan 18:34 ויען אתו ישוע לאמר המלבך תדבר זאת או אחרים הגידו־לך עלי׃
Yochanan 18:35 ויאמר פילטוס הכי אנכי יהודי הלא עמך וראשי הכהנים הסגירוך אלי מה עשית׃
Yochanan 18:36 ויען ישוע ויאמר מלכותי איננה מן־העולם הזה לו־היתה מלכותי מן־העולם הזה כי אז נלחמו לי משרתי לבלתי המסר ביד היהודים אבל עתה מלכותי איננה מפה׃
Yochanan 18:37 ויאמר אליו פילטוס אם־כן אפוא מלך אתה ויען ישוע לאמר אתה אמרת כי־מלך אנכי לזאת נולדתי ולזאת באתי בעולם להעיד לאמת כל־אשר הוא מן־האמת ישמע בקולי׃
Yochanan 18:38 ויאמר אליו פילטוס מה היא האמת ואחרי דברו זאת יצא שנית אל־היהודים ויאמר אליהם אני לא־מצאתי בו כל־עון׃
Yochanan 18:39 הן מנהג הוא לכם שאשלח לכם איש אחד חפשי בפסח רצונכם שאשלח לכם את־מלך היהודים׃
Yochanan 18:40 ויוסיפו ויצעקו לאמר לא את־האיש הזה אלא את־בר־אבא ובר־אבא היה שדד׃
Yochanan 19:1 אז לקח פילטוס את־ישוע וייסרהו בשוטים׃
Yochanan 19:2 וישרגו אנשי הצבא עטרת קצים וישימו על־ראשו ויעטהו לבוש ארגמן׃
Yochanan 19:3 ויאמרו שלום לך מלך היהודים ויכהו על־הלחי׃
Yochanan 19:4 ויצא פילטוס עוד החוצה ויאמר אליהם הנני מוציא אתו אליכם למען תדעו כי לא־מצאתי בו כל־עון׃
Yochanan 19:5 וישוע יצא החוץ ועליו עטרת הקצים ולבוש הארגמן ויאמר אליהם פילטוס הנה האדם׃
Yochanan 19:6 ויהי כאשר ראהו ראשי הכהנים והמשרתים ויצעקו לאמר הצלב הצלב ויאמר אליהם פילטוס קחהו אתם והצליבהו כי אנכי לא־מצאתי בו אשמה׃
Yochanan 19:7 ויענו היהודים ויאמרו תורה יש־לנו ועל־פי תורתנו חיב־מיתה הוא כי־עשה עצמו בן־אלהים׃
Yochanan 19:8 ויהי כשמע פילטוס את־הדבר הזה ויאסף לרא עוד׃
Yochanan 19:9 וישב ויבא אל־בית המשפט ויאמר אל־ישוע מאין אתה ולא־השיבו ישוע דבר׃
Yochanan 19:10 ויאמר אליו פילטוס אלי לא תדבר הלא ידעת כי יש־לאל ידי לצלבך ויש־לאל ידי לשלח׃
Yochanan 19:11 ויען ישוע לאמר לא היתה־לך רשות עלי לולא נתן־לך מלמעלה לכן עון המסגיר אתי אליך גדול מעונך׃
Yochanan 19:12 אז יבקש פילטוס לשלחו והיהודים קראו ויאמרו אם־תשלח את־זה אינך אהב לקיסר כי כל־העשה עצמו מלך מרד בקיסר הוא׃
Yochanan 19:13 ויהי כשמע פילטוס את־הדבר הזה הוציא את־ישוע וישב על־כסא המשפט במקום הנקרא רצפה ובלשונם גבתא׃
Yochanan 19:14 והעת ערב פסח וכשעה הששית ויאמר אל־היהודים הנה מלככם והם זעקו טול טול צלב אתו׃
Yochanan 19:15 ויאמר אליהם פילטוס הצלב אצלב את־מלככם ויענו ראשי הכהנים אין־לנו מלך כי אם־קיסר׃
Yochanan 19:16 אז מסרו אליהם להצלב ויקחו את־ישוע ויוליכהו׃
Yochanan 19:17 וישא את־צלובו ויצא אל־המקום הנקרא מקום הגלגלת ובלשונם גלגלתא׃
Yochanan 19:18 ויצלבו אתו שמה ושני אנשים אחרים עמו מזה אחד ומזה אחד וישוע בתוך׃
Yochanan 19:19 ופילטוס כתב על־לוח וישם על־הצלוב וזה־דבר מכתבו ישוע הנצרי מלך היהודים׃
Yochanan 19:20 ויהודים רבים קראו את־המכתב הזה כי המקום אשר נצלב־שם ישוע קרוב אל־העיר והמכתב כתוב עברית ויונית ורומית׃
Yochanan 19:21 ויאמרו ראשי כהני היהודים אל־פילטוס אל־נא תכתב מלך היהודים כי אם־אשר אמר אני מלך היהודים׃
Yochanan 19:22 ויען פילטוס ויאמר את־אשר כתבתי כתבתי׃
Yochanan 19:23 ויהי כאשר צלבו אנשי הצבא את־ישוע ויקחו את־בגדיו ויחלקום לארבעה חלקים חלק לאיש וגם את־כתנתו והכתנת לא־היתה תפורה כי אם־מעשה ארג מפיה ועד־קצה׃
Yochanan 19:24 ויאמרו איש אל־אחיו אל־נא נקרעה לקרעים כי־נפיל עליה גורל למי תהיה למלאת דבר הכתוב יחלקו בגדי להם ועל־לבושי יפילו גורל ויעשו־כן אנשי הצבא׃
Yochanan 19:25 ועל־יד צלוב ישוע עמדו אמו ואחות אמו מרים אשת קלופס ומרים המגדלית׃
Yochanan 19:26 וירא ישוע את־אמו ואת־תלמידו אשר אהב עמדים אצלו ויאמר אל־אמו אשה הנה בנך׃
Yochanan 19:27 ואחר אמר אל־תלמידו הנה אמך ומן־השעה ההיא אסף אתה התלמיד אל־ביתו׃
Yochanan 19:28 ויהי מאחרי־כן כאשר ידע ישוע כי כבר נעשה הכל למען ימלא הכתוב כלו אמר צמאתי׃
Yochanan 19:29 ושם־כלי מלא חמץ ויטבלו ספוג בחמץ וישימו על־אזוב ויקריבו אל־פיו׃
Yochanan 19:30 ויקח ישוע את־החמץ ויאמר כלה ויט את־ראשו ותצא רוחו׃
Yochanan 19:31 והיהודים אמרו לא ילינו הפגרים על־הצלוב ביום השבת כי־ערב שבת היה וגדול יום השבת ההוא וישאלו מן־פילטוס לשבר את־שוקיהם ולהוריד אתם׃
Yochanan 19:32 ויבאו אנשי הצבא וישברו את־שוקי האחד ואת־שוקי השני הנצלבים עמו׃
Yochanan 19:33 ויבאו אל־ישוע ויראו והנה מת ולא שברו את־שוקיו׃
Yochanan 19:34 ואחד מאנשי הצבא דקרו בחנית בצדו ויצא דם ומים׃
Yochanan 19:35 והראה זאת העיד ועדותו קימת והוא יודע כי אמת יגיד למען גם־אתם תאמינו׃
Yochanan 19:36 כי זאת היתה למלאת הכתוב ועצם לא־תשברו בו׃
Yochanan 19:37 ועוד כתוב אחר אמר והביטו אליו את אשר דקרו׃
Yochanan 19:38 ואחר בא יוסף הרמתי והוא תלמיד ישוע בסתר מפני היהודים וישאל מאת פילטוס אשר יתנהו לשאת את־גופת ישוע וינח לו פילטוס ויבא וישא את־גופת ישוע׃
Yochanan 19:39 ויבא גם־נקדימון אשר בא־לפנים בלילה אל־ישוע ויבא תערבת מר־ואהלות כמאה ליטרין׃
Yochanan 19:40 ויקחו את־גופת ישוע ויחתלוה בתכריכין עם־הבשמים כמנהג היהודים לקבר את־מתיהם׃
Yochanan 19:41 ובמקום אשר נצלב היה גן ובגן קבר חדש אשר לא־הנח בו מת עד־הנה׃
Yochanan 19:42 שם שמו את־ישוע כי־ערב שבת היה ליהודים והקבר קרוב׃
Yochanan 20:1 ויהי באחד בשבת לפנות הבקר בעוד חשך ותבא מרים המגדלית אל־הקבר ותרא והנה־האבן מוסרה מעל הקבר׃
Yochanan 20:2 ותרץ ותבא אל־שמעון פטרוס ואל־התלמיד האחר אשר ישוע אהבו ותאמר אליהם הנה נשאו את־האדון מקברו ולא ידענו איפה הניחהו׃
Yochanan 20:3 ויצא פטרוס והתלמיד האחר וילכו אל־הקבר׃
Yochanan 20:4 וירוצו שניהם יחדו וימהר התלמיד האחר לרוץ ויעבר את־פטרוס ויבא ראשונה אל־הקבר׃
Yochanan 20:5 וישקף אל־תוכו וירא את־התכריכין מנחים ולא נכנס׃
Yochanan 20:6 ויבא שמעון פטרוס אחריו והוא נכנס אל־הקבר וירא את־התכריכין מנחים׃
Yochanan 20:7 והסודר אשר היתה על־ראשו איננה מנחת אצל התכריכין כי אם־מקפלת לבדה במקום אחד׃
Yochanan 20:8 והתלמיד האחר אשר בא ראשונה אל־הקבר גם־הוא נכנס וירא ויאמן׃
Yochanan 20:9 כי עדן לא־הבינו את־הכתוב אשר קום יקום מעם המתים׃
Yochanan 20:10 וישובו התלמידים וילכו אל־ביתם׃
Yochanan 20:11 ומרים עמדה מחוץ לקבר והיא בוכיה ויהי בבכותה ותשקף אל־תוך הקבר׃
Yochanan 20:12 ותרא שני מלאכים לבושי לבנים ישבים במקום אשר שמו שם את־גופת ישוע אחד מראשותיו ואחד מרגלותיו׃
Yochanan 20:13 ויאמרו אליה אשה למה תבכי ותאמר אליהם כי נשאו מזה את־אדני ולא ידעתי איפה הניחהו׃
Yochanan 20:14 ויהי ככלותה לדבר זאת ותפן אחריה ותרא והנה ישוע עמד ולא ידעה כי ישוע הוא׃
Yochanan 20:15 ויאמר אליה ישוע אשה למה תבכי את־מי תבקשי והיא חשבתהו לשמר הגן ותאמר אליו אדני אם־אתה נשאת אתו מזה הגידה־נא לי איפה הנחתו ולקחתיו משם׃
Yochanan 20:16 ויאמר אליה ישוע מרים ותפן ותאמר אליו רבוני הוא מורה׃
Yochanan 20:17 ויאמר אליה ישוע אל־תגעי בי כי עוד לא עליתי אל־אבי ולכי־נא אל־אחי והגידי להם אני עלה אל־אבי ואביכם ואל־אלהי ואלהיכם׃
Yochanan 20:18 ותבא מרים המגדלית ותספר אל־התלמידים את אשר־ראתה את־האדון וכזאת דבר אליה׃
Yochanan 20:19 ויהי ביום ההוא והוא אחד בשבת לעת־ערב כאשר נסגרו דלתות הבית אשר־נקבצו שם התלמידים מיראת היהודים ויבא ישוע ויעמד ביניהם ויאמר אליהם שלום לכם׃
Yochanan 20:20 ואחרי דברו זאת הראם את־ידיו ואת־צדו וישמחו התלמידים בראותם את־האדון׃
Yochanan 20:21 ויסף ישוע ויאמר אליהם שלום לכם כאשר שלח אתי האב כן אנכי שלח אתכם׃
Yochanan 20:22 ואחרי דברו זאת ויפח בהם ויאמר אליהם קחו לכם את־רוח הקדש׃
Yochanan 20:23 והיה כל־אשר תסלחו לחטאתם ונסלח להם ואשר תאשימו יאשמו׃
Yochanan 20:24 ותומא אחד משנים העשר הנקרא דידומוס לא־היה בתוכם כבוא ישוע׃
Yochanan 20:25 ויגידו לו התלמידים הנשארים לאמר ראה ראינו את־האדון ויאמר אליהם אם־לא אראה בידיו את־רשם המסמרות ואשים את־אצבעי במקום המסמרות ואשים את־ידי בצדו לא אאמין׃
Yochanan 20:26 ויהי מקצה שמונת ימים ותלמידיו שנית בבית ותומא עמהם ויבא ישוע והדלתות מסגרות ויעמד ביניהם ויאמר שלום לכם׃
Yochanan 20:27 ואחר אמר אל־תומא שלח אצבעך הנה וראה את־ידי ושלח את־ידך הנה ושים בצדי ואל־תהי מחסר אמונה כי אם־מאמין׃
Yochanan 20:28 ויען תומא ויאמר אליו אדני ואלהי׃
Yochanan 20:29 ויאמר אליו ישוע יען ראית אתי האמנת אשרי המאמינים ואינם ראים׃
Yochanan 20:30 והנה גם־אתות אחרים רבים עשה ישוע לעיני תלמידיו אשר לא־נכתבו בספר הזה׃
Yochanan 20:31 ואלה נכתבו למען תאמינו כי ישוע הוא המשיח בן־אלהים ולמען יהיו לכם חיים בשמו באמונתכם׃
Yochanan 21:1 ויהי אחרי־כן ויסף ישוע להראות אל־תלמידיו על־ים טיבריה וזה־דבר הראותו אליהם׃
Yochanan 21:2 שמעון פטרוס ותומא הנקרא דידומוס ונתנאל מקנה אשר בארץ הגליל ובני זבדי ועוד שנים אחרים מתלמידיו ישבו יחדו׃
Yochanan 21:3 ויאמר אליהם שמעון פטרוס הנני הלך לדוג ויאמרו אליו גם־אנחנו נלך עמך ויצאו וירדו באניה ולא לכדו מאומה בלילה ההוא׃
Yochanan 21:4 הבקר אור וישוע עמד על־שפת הים והתלמידים לא ידעו כי ישוע הוא׃
Yochanan 21:5 ויאמר אליהם ישוע בני היש־לכם דבר לאכל ויאמרו לא׃
Yochanan 21:6 ויאמר להם השליכו המכמרת מימין לאניה ותמצאו וישליכו ולא־יכלו עוד למשך אתה מרב הדגים׃
Yochanan 21:7 ויאמר התלמיד ההוא אשר ישוע אהבו אל־פטרוס הנה־האדון ויהי כשמע שמעון פטרוס כי הוא האדון ויחגר את־מעילו כי עירום היה ויתנפל אל־הים׃
Yochanan 21:8 והתלמידים הנשארים באו בספינה כי לא הרחיקו מן־היבשה כי אם־כמאתים אמה וימשכו את־המכמרת עם־הדגים׃
Yochanan 21:9 ויהי בעלותם אל־היבשה ויראו והנה גחלי־אש ערוכים ודגים עליהם ולחם לאכל׃
Yochanan 21:10 ויאמר אליהם ישוע הביאו מן־הדגים אשר לכדתם עתה׃
Yochanan 21:11 ויעל שמעון פטרוס וימשך את־המכמרת אל־היבשה והיא מלאה דגים גדולים מאה וחמשים ושלשה ולא נקרעה המכמרת אף־כי רבים היו׃
Yochanan 21:12 ויאמר אליהם ישוע באו ברו־לחם ואין איש מן־התלמידים אשר מלאו לבו לשאל מי אתה כי ידעו אשר הוא האדון׃
Yochanan 21:13 ויבא ישוע ויקח את־הלחם ויתן להם ואת־הדגים׃
Yochanan 21:14 וזאת הפעם השלישית אשר־נראה ישוע אל־תלמידיו אחרי קומו מעם המתים׃
Yochanan 21:15 ויהי אחרי אכלם ויאמר ישוע אל־שמעון פטרוס שמעון בן־יונה התאהב אתי יותר מאלה ויאמר אליו כן אדני אתה ידעת כי אהבתיך ויאמר אליו רעה את־טלאי׃
Yochanan 21:16 ויאמר אליו עוד הפעם שמעון בן־יונה התאהב אתי ויאמר אליו כן אדני אתה ידעת כי אהבתיך ויאמר אליו נהג את־צאני׃
Yochanan 21:17 ויאמר אליו פעם שלישית שמעון בן־יונה התאהב אתי ויתעצב פטרוס כי־אמר אליו בשלישית התאהב אתי ויאמר אליו אדני את־כל אתה יודע וידעת כי אהבתיך ויאמר אליו ישוע רעה את־צאני׃
Yochanan 21:18 אמן אמן אני אמר לך בהיתך צעיר לימים אתה חגרת עצמך ותלך אל־אשר חפצת וכאשר תזקן ופרשת כפיך ואחר יחגרך ונשאך אל־אשר לא תחפץ׃
Yochanan 21:19 וכל־זאת דבר לרמז על־מיתתו אשר יכבד־בה את־האלהים ויהי ככלותו לדבר ויאמר אליו לך אחרי׃
Yochanan 21:20 ויפן פטרוס וירא את־התלמיד אשר ישוע אהבו הלך אחריהם והוא אשר נפל על־לבו בסעודה וגם־אמר אדני מי הוא־זה אשר ימסר׃
Yochanan 21:21 ויהי בראות אתו פטרוס ויאמר אל־ישוע אדני וזה מה־לו׃
Yochanan 21:22 ויאמר אליו ישוע אם־רצוני שישאר עד־באי מה־לך ולזאת אתה לך אחרי׃
Yochanan 21:23 על־כן יצא הדבר הזה בין האחים שהתלמיד ההוא לא ימות וישוע לא אמר־לו כי לא־ימות אבל אמר אם־חפצי כי־ישאר עד־באי מה־זה לך׃
Yochanan 21:24 זה הוא התלמיד המעיד על־אלה ואשר כתב כל־זאת וידענו כי עדותו אמת׃
Yochanan 21:25 ויש עוד מעשים רבים אחרים אשר עשה ישוע ואם־יכתבו כלם לאחד אחד אדמה שגם־העולם כלו לא יכיל את־הספרים אשר יכתבו (אמן)׃

Yochanan 18-21
Yochanan 18:1 After Yahshua had said all this, he went out with his talmidim across the stream that flows in winter through the Vadi Kidron, to a spot where there was a grove of trees; and he and his talmidim went into it.
Yochanan 18:2 Now Y'hudah, who was betraying him, also knew the place; because Yahshua had often met there with his talmidim.
Yochanan 18:3 So Y'hudah went there, taking with him a detachment of Roman soldiers and some Temple guards provided by the head kohanim and the P'rushim; they carried weapons, lanterns and torches.
Yochanan 18:4 Yahshua, who knew everything that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, "Whom do you want?"
Yochanan 18:5 "Yahshua from Natzeret," they answered. He said to them, "I AM." Also standing with them was Y'hudah, the one who was betraying him.
Yochanan 18:6 When he said, "I AM," they went backward from him and fell to the ground.
Yochanan 18:7 So he inquired of them once more, "Whom do you want?" and they said, "Yahshua from Natzeret."
Yochanan 18:8 "I told you, 'I AM,' " answered Yahshua, "so if I'm the one you want, let these others go."
Yochanan 18:9 This happened so that what he had said might be fulfilled, "I have not lost one of those you gave me."
Yochanan 18:10 Then Shim`on Kefa, who had a sword, drew it and struck the slave of the kohen hagadol, cutting off his right ear; the slave's name was Melekh.
Yochanan 18:11 Yahshua said to Kefa, "Put your sword back in its scabbard! This is the cup the Father has given me; am I not to drink it?"
Yochanan 18:12 So the detachment of Roman soldiers and their captain, together with the Temple Guard of the Judeans, arrested Yahshua, tied him up,
Yochanan 18:13 and took him first to `Anan, the father-in-law of Kayafa, who was kohen gadol that fateful year.
Yochanan 18:14 (It was Kayafa who had advised the Judeans that it would be good for one man to die on behalf of the people.)
Yochanan 18:15 Shim`on Kefa and another talmid followed Yahshua. The second talmid was known to the kohen hagadol, and he went with Yahshua into the courtyard of the kohen hagadol;
Yochanan 18:16 but Kefa stood outside by the gate. So the other talmid, the one known to the kohen hagadol, went back out and spoke to the woman on duty at the gate, then brought Kefa inside.
Yochanan 18:17 The woman at the gate said to Kefa, "Aren't you another of that man's talmidim?" He said, "No, I'm not."
Yochanan 18:18 Now the slaves and guards had lit a fire because it was cold, and they were standing around it warming themselves; Kefa joined them and stood warming himself too.
Yochanan 18:19 The kohen hagadol questioned Yahshua about his talmidim and about what he taught.
Yochanan 18:20 Yahshua answered, "I have spoken quite openly to everyone; I have always taught in a synagogue or in the Temple where all Y’hudim meet together, and I have said nothing in secret;
Yochanan 18:21 so why are you questioning me? Question the ones who heard what I said to them; look, they know what I said."
Yochanan 18:22 At these words, one of the guards standing by slapped Yahshua in the face and said, "This is how you talk to the kohen hagadol?"
Yochanan 18:23 Yahshua answered him, "If I said something wrong, state publicly what was wrong; but if I was right, why are you hitting me?"
Yochanan 18:24 So `Anan sent him, still tied up, to Kayafa the kohen hagadol.
Yochanan 18:25 Meanwhile, Shim`on Kefa was standing and warming himself. They said to him, "Aren't you also one of his talmidim?" He denied it, saying, "No, I am not."
Yochanan 18:26 One of the slaves of the kohen hagadol, a relative of the man whose ear Kefa had cut off, said, "Didn't I see you with him in the grove of trees?"
Yochanan 18:27 So again Kefa denied it, and instantly a rooster crowed.
Yochanan 18:28 They led Yahshua from Kayafa to the governor's headquarters. By now it was early morning. They did not enter the headquarters building because they didn't want to become ritually defiled and thus unable to eat the Pesach meal.
Yochanan 18:29 So Pilate went outside to them and said, "What charge are you bringing against this man?"
Yochanan 18:30 They answered, "If he hadn't done something wrong, we wouldn't have brought him to you."
Yochanan 18:31 Pilate said to them, "You take him and judge him according to your own law." The Judeans replied, "We don't have the legal power to put anyone to death."
Yochanan 18:32 This was so that what Yahshua had said, about how he was going to die, might be fulfilled.
Yochanan 18:33 So Pilate went back into the headquarters, called Yahshua and said to him, "Are you the king of the Y’hudim?"
Yochanan 18:34 Yahshua answered, "Are you asking this on your own, or have other people told you about me?"
Yochanan 18:35 Pilate replied, "Am I a Y’hudi? Your own nation and head kohanim have handed you over to me; what have you done?"
Yochanan 18:36 Yahshua answered, "My kingship does not derive its authority from this world's order of things. If it did, my men would have fought to keep me from being arrested by the Judeans. But my kingship does not come from here."
Yochanan 18:37 "So then," Pilate said to him, "You are a king, after all." Yahshua answered, "You say I am a king. The reason I have been born, the reason I have come into the world, is to bear witness to the truth. Every one who belongs to the truth listens to me."
Yochanan 18:38 Pilate asked him, "What is truth?" Having said this, Pilate went outside again to the Judeans and told them, "I don't find any case against him.
Yochanan 18:39 However, you have a custom that at Pesach I set one prisoner free. Do you want me to set free for you the 'king of the Yehudim'?"
Yochanan 18:40 But they yelled back, "No, not this man but Bar-Abba!" (Bar-Abba was a revolutionary.)
Yochanan 19:1 Pilate then took Yahshua and had him flogged.
Yochanan 19:2 The soldiers twisted thorn-branches into a crown and placed it on his head, put a purple robe on him,
Yochanan 19:3 and went up to him, saying over and over, "Hail, 'king of the Y’hudim'!" and hitting him in the face.
Yochanan 19:4 Pilate went outside once more and said to the crowd, "Look, I'm bringing him out to you to get you to understand that I find no case against him."
Yochanan 19:5 So Yahshua came out, wearing the thorn-branch crown and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, "Look at the man!"
Yochanan 19:6 When the head kohanim and the Temple guards saw him they shouted, "Put him to death on the stake! Put him to death on the stake!" Pilate said to them, "You take him out yourselves and put him to death on the stake, because I don't find any case against him."
Yochanan 19:7 The Judeans answered him, "We have a law; according to that law, he ought to be put to death, because he made himself out to be the Son of Elohim."
Yochanan 19:8 On hearing this, Pilate became even more frightened.
Yochanan 19:9 He went back into the headquarters and asked Yahshua, "Where are you from?" But Yahshua didn't answer.
Yochanan 19:10 So Pilate said to him, "You refuse to speak to me? Don't you understand that it is in my power either to set you free or to have you executed on the stake?"
Yochanan 19:11 Yahshua answered, "You would have no power over me if it hadn't been given to you from above; this is why the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."
Yochanan 19:12 On hearing this, Pilate tried to find a way to set him free; but the Judeans shouted, "If you set this man free, it means you're not a 'Friend of the Emperor'! Everyone who claims to be a king is opposing the Emperor!"
Yochanan 19:13 When Pilate heard what they were saying, he brought Yahshua outside and sat down on the judge's seat in the place called The Pavement;
Yochanan 19:14 it was about noon on Preparation Day for Pesach. He said to the Judeans, "Here's your king!"
Yochanan 19:15 They shouted, "Take him away! Take him away! Put him to death on the stake!" Pilate said to them, "You want me to execute your king on a stake?" The head kohanim answered, "We have no king but the Emperor."
Yochanan 19:16 Then Pilate handed Yahshua over to them to have him put to death on the stake. So they took charge of Yahshua.
Yochanan 19:17 Carrying the stake himself he went out to the place called Skull (in Aramaic, Gulgolta).
Yochanan 19:18 There they nailed him to the stake along with two others, one on either side, with Yahshua in the middle.
Yochanan 19:19 Pilate also had a notice written and posted on the stake; it read, YAHSHUA FROM NATZERET THE KING OF THE Y’HUDIM
Yochanan 19:20 Many of the Judeans read this notice, because the place where Yahshua was put on the stake was close to the city; and it had been written in Hebrew, in Latin and in Greek.
Yochanan 19:21 The Judeans' head kohanim therefore said to Pilate, "Don't write, 'The King of the Y’hudim,' but 'He said, "I am King of the Y’hudim." ' "
Yochanan 19:22 Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."
Yochanan 19:23 When the soldiers had nailed Yahshua to the stake, they took his clothes and divided them into four shares, a share for each soldier, with the under-robe left over. Now the under-robe was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom;
Yochanan 19:24 so they said to one another, "We shouldn't tear it in pieces; let's draw for it." This happened in order to fulfill the words from the Tanakh, "They divided my clothes among themselves and gambled for my robe." This is why the soldiers did these things.
Yochanan 19:25 Nearby Yahshua's execution stake stood his mother, his mother's sister Miryam the wife of K'lofah, and Miryam from Magdala.
Yochanan 19:26 When Yahshua saw his mother and the talmid whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, "Mother, this is your son."
Yochanan 19:27 Then he said to the talmid, "This is your mother." And from that time on, the talmid took her into his own home.
Yochanan 19:28 After this, knowing that all things had accomplished their purpose, Yahshua, in order to fulfill the words of the Tanakh, said, "I'm thirsty."
Yochanan 19:29 A jar full of cheap sour wine was there; so they soaked a sponge in the wine, coated it with oregano leaves and held it up to his mouth.
Yochanan 19:30 After Yahshua had taken the wine, he said, "It is accomplished!" And, letting his head droop, he delivered up his spirit.
Yochanan 19:31 It was Preparation Day, and the Judeans did not want the bodies to remain on the stake on Shabbat, since it was an especially important Shabbat. So they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies removed.
Yochanan 19:32 The soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man who had been put on a stake beside Yahshua, then the legs of the other one;
Yochanan 19:33 but when they got to Yahshua and saw that he was already dead, they didn't break his legs.
Yochanan 19:34 However, one of the soldiers stabbed his side with a spear, and at once blood and water flowed out.
Yochanan 19:35 The man who saw it has testified about it, and his testimony is true. And he knows that he tells the truth, so you too can trust.
Yochanan 19:36 For these things happened in order to fulfill this passage of the Tanakh: "Not one of his bones will be broken."
Yochanan 19:37 And again, another passage says, "They will look at him whom they have pierced."
Yochanan 19:38 After this, Yosef of Ramatayim, who was a talmid of Yahshua, but a secret one out of fear of the Judeans, asked Pilate if he could have Yahshua's body. Pilate gave his consent, so Yosef came and took the body away.
Yochanan 19:39 Also Nakdimon, who at first had gone to see Yahshua by night, came with some seventy pounds of spices — a mixture of myrrh and aloes.
Yochanan 19:40 They took Yahshua's body and wrapped it up in linen sheets with the spices, in keeping with Judean burial practice.
Yochanan 19:41 In the vicinity of where he had been executed was a garden, and in the garden was a new tomb in which no one had ever been buried.
Yochanan 19:42 So, because it was Preparation Day for the Judeans, and because the tomb was close by, that is where they buried Yahshua.
Yochanan 20:1 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Miryam from Magdala went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb.
Yochanan 20:2 So she came running to Shim`on Kefa and the other talmid, the one Yahshua loved, and said to them, "They've taken the Master out of the tomb, and we don't know where they've put him!"
Yochanan 20:3 Then Kefa and the other talmid started for the tomb.
Yochanan 20:4 They both ran, but the other talmid outran Kefa and reached the tomb first.
Yochanan 20:5 Stooping down, he saw the linen burial-sheets lying there but did not go in.
Yochanan 20:6 Then, following him, Shim`on Kefa arrived, entered the tomb and saw the burial-sheets lying there,
Yochanan 20:7 also the cloth that had been around his head, lying not with the sheets but in a separate place and still folded up.
Yochanan 20:8 Then the other talmid, who had arrived at the tomb first, also went in; he saw, and he trusted.
Yochanan 20:9 (They had not yet come to understand that the Tanakh teaches that the Messiah has to rise from the dead.)
Yochanan 20:10 So the talmidim returned home,
Yochanan 20:11 but Miryam stood outside crying. As she cried, she bent down, peered into the tomb,
Yochanan 20:12 and saw two malachei in white sitting where the body of Yahshua had been, one at the head and one at the feet.
Yochanan 20:13 "Why are you crying?" they asked her. "They took my Master," she said to them, "and I don't know where they have put him."
Yochanan 20:14 As she said this, she turned around and saw Yahshua standing there, but she didn't know it was he.
Yochanan 20:15 Yahshua said to her, "Lady, why are you crying? Whom are you looking for?" Thinking he was the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you're the one who carried him away, just tell me where you put him; and I'll go and get him myself."
Yochanan 20:16 Yahshua said to her, "Miryam!" Turning, she cried out to him in Hebrew, "Rabbani!" (that is, "Teacher!")
Yochanan 20:17 "Stop holding onto me," Yahshua said to her, "because I haven't yet gone back to the Father. But go to my brothers, and tell them that I am going back to my Father and your Father, to my El and your El."
Yochanan 20:18 Miryam of Magdala went to the talmidim with the news that she had seen the master and that he had told her this.
Yochanan 20:19 In the evening that same day, the first day of the week, when the talmidim were gathered together behind locked doors out of fear of the Judeans, Yahshua came, stood in the middle and said, "Shalom aleikhem!"
Yochanan 20:20 Having greeted them, he showed them his hands and his side. The talmidim were overjoyed to see the master.
Yochanan 20:21 "Shalom aleikhem!" Yahshua repeated. "Just as the Father sent me, I myself am also sending you."
Yochanan 20:22 Having said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Ruach HaKodesh!
Yochanan 20:23 If you forgive someone's sins, their sins are forgiven; if you hold them, they are held."
Yochanan 20:24 Now T'oma (the name means "twin"), one of the Twelve, was not with them when Yahshua came.
Yochanan 20:25 When the other talmidim told him, "We have seen the Master," he replied, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands, put my finger into the place where the nails were and put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe it."
Yochanan 20:26 A week later his talmidim were once more in the room, and this time T'oma was with them. Although the doors were locked, Yahshua came, stood among them and said, "Shalom aleikhem!"
Yochanan 20:27 Then he said to T'oma, "Put your finger here, look at my hands, take your hand and put it into my side. Don't be lacking in trust, but have trust!"
Yochanan 20:28 T'oma answered him, "My Master and my Elohim!"
Yochanan 20:29 Yahshua said to him, "Have you trusted because you have seen me? How blessed are those who do not see, but trust anyway!"
Yochanan 20:30 In the presence of the talmidim Yahshua performed many other miracles which have not been recorded in this book.
Yochanan 20:31 But these which have been recorded are here so that you may trust that Yahshua is the Mashiach, the Son of Elohim, and that by this trust you may have life because of who he is.
Yochanan 21:1 After this, Yahshua appeared again to the talmidim at Lake Tiberias. Here is how it happened:
Yochanan 21:2 Shim`on Kefa and T'oma (his name means "twin") were together with Natan'el from Kanah in the Galil, the sons of Zavdai, and two other talmidim.
Yochanan 21:3 Shim`on Kefa said, "I'm going fishing." They said to him, "We're coming with you." They went and got into the boat, but that night they didn't catch anything.
Yochanan 21:4 However, just as day was breaking, Yahshua stood on shore, but the talmidim didn't know it was he.
Yochanan 21:5 He said to them, "You don't have any fish, do you?" "No," they answered him.
Yochanan 21:6 He said to them, "Throw in your net to starboard and you will catch some." So they threw in their net, and there were so many fish in it that they couldn't haul it aboard.
Yochanan 21:7 The talmid Yahshua loved said to Kefa, "It's the Master!" On hearing it was the Master, Shim`on Kefa threw on his coat, because he was stripped for work, and plunged into the lake;
Yochanan 21:8 but the other talmidim followed in the boat, dragging the net full of fish; for they weren't far from shore, only about a hundred yards.
Yochanan 21:9 When they stepped ashore, they saw a fire of burning coals with a fish on it, and some bread.
Yochanan 21:10 Yahshua said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught."
Yochanan 21:11 Shim`on Kefa went up and dragged the net ashore. It was full of fish, 153 of them; but even with so many, the net wasn't torn.
Yochanan 21:12 Yahshua said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the talmidim dared to ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Master.
Yochanan 21:13 Yahshua came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.
Yochanan 21:14 This was now the third time Yahshua had appeared to the talmidim after being raised from the dead.
Yochanan 21:15 After breakfast, Yahshua said to Shim`on Kefa, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me more than these?" He replied, "Yes, Master, you know I'm your friend." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
Yochanan 21:16 A second time he said to him, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me?" He replied, "Yes, Master, you know I'm your friend." He said to him, "Shepherd my sheep."
Yochanan 21:17 The third time he said to him, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, are you my friend?" Shim`on was hurt that he questioned him a third time: "Are you my friend?" So he replied, "Master, you know everything! You know I'm your friend!" Yahshua said to him, "Feed my sheep!
Yochanan 21:18 Yes, indeed! I tell you, when you were younger, you put on your clothes and went where you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go."
Yochanan 21:19 He said this to indicate the kind of death by which Kefa would bring esteem to Elohim. Then Yahshua said to him, "Follow me!"
Yochanan 21:20 Kefa turned and saw the talmid Yahshua especially loved following behind, the one who had leaned against him at the supper and had asked, "Who is the one who is betraying you?"
Yochanan 21:21 On seeing him, Kefa said to Yahshua, "Master, what about him?"
Yochanan 21:22 Yahshua said to him, "If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you? You, follow me!"
Yochanan 21:23 Therefore the word spread among the brothers that that talmid would not die. However, Yahshua didn't say he wouldn't die, but simply, "If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you?"
Yochanan 21:24 This one is the talmid who is testifying about these things and who has recorded them. And we know that his testimony is true.
Yochanan 21:25 But there are also many other things Yahshua did; and if they were all to be recorded, I don't think the whole world could contain the books that would have to be written!

Yochanan 19:13 When Pilate heard what they were saying, he brought Yahshua outside and sat down on the judge's seat in the place called The Pavement;
Yochanan 19:14 it was about noon on Preparation Day for Pesach. He said to the Judeans, "Here's your king!"
Yochanan 19:15 They shouted, "Take him away! Take him away! Put him to death on the stake!" Pilate said to them, "You want me to execute your king on a stake?" The head kohanim answered, "We have no king but the Emperor."
Yochanan 19:16 Then Pilate handed Yahshua over to them to have him put to death on the stake. So they took charge of Yahshua.
Yochanan 19:17 Carrying the stake himself he went out to the place called Skull (in Aramaic, Gulgolta).
Yochanan 19:18 There they nailed him to the stake along with two others, one on either side, with Yahshua in the middle.
Yochanan 19:19 Pilate also had a notice written and posted on the stake; it read, YAHSHUA FROM NATZERET THE KING OF THE Y’HUDIM
Yochanan 19:20 Many of the Judeans read this notice, because the place where Yahshua was put on the stake was close to the city; and it had been written in Hebrew, in Latin and in Greek.
Yochanan 19:21 The Judeans' head kohanim therefore said to Pilate, "Don't write, 'The King of the Y’hudim,' but 'He said, "I am King of the Y’hudim." ' "
Yochanan 19:22 Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."
Yochanan 19:23 When the soldiers had nailed Yahshua to the stake, they took his clothes and divided them into four shares, a share for each soldier, with the under-robe left over. Now the under-robe was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom;
Yochanan 19:24 so they said to one another, "We shouldn't tear it in pieces; let's draw for it." This happened in order to fulfill the words from the Tanakh, "They divided my clothes among themselves and gambled for my robe." This is why the soldiers did these things.
Yochanan 19:25 Nearby Yahshua's execution stake stood his mother, his mother's sister Miryam the wife of K'lofah, and Miryam from Magdala.
Yochanan 19:26 When Yahshua saw his mother and the talmid whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, "Mother, this is your son."
Yochanan 19:27 Then he said to the talmid, "This is your mother." And from that time on, the talmid took her into his own home.
Yochanan 19:28 After this, knowing that all things had accomplished their purpose, Yahshua, in order to fulfill the words of the Tanakh, said, "I'm thirsty."
Yochanan 19:29 A jar full of cheap sour wine was there; so they soaked a sponge in the wine, coated it with oregano leaves and held it up to his mouth.
Yochanan 19:30 After Yahshua had taken the wine, he said, "It is accomplished!" And, letting his head droop, he delivered up his spirit.
Yochanan 19:31 It was Preparation Day, and the Judeans did not want the bodies to remain on the stake on Shabbat, since it was an especially important Shabbat. So they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies removed.
Yochanan 19:32 The soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man who had been put on a stake beside Yahshua, then the legs of the other one;
Yochanan 19:33 but when they got to Yahshua and saw that he was already dead, they didn't break his legs.
Yochanan 19:34 However, one of the soldiers stabbed his side with a spear, and at once blood and water flowed out.
Yochanan 19:35 The man who saw it has testified about it, and his testimony is true. And he knows that he tells the truth, so you too can trust.
Yochanan 19:36 For these things happened in order to fulfill this passage of the Tanakh: "Not one of his bones will be broken."
Yochanan 19:37 And again, another passage says, "They will look at him whom they have pierced."
Yochanan 19:38 After this, Yosef of Ramatayim, who was a talmid of Yahshua, but a secret one out of fear of the Judeans, asked Pilate if he could have Yahshua's body. Pilate gave his consent, so Yosef came and took the body away.
Yochanan 19:39 Also Nakdimon, who at first had gone to see Yahshua by night, came with some seventy pounds of spices — a mixture of myrrh and aloes.
Yochanan 19:40 They took Yahshua's body and wrapped it up in linen sheets with the spices, in keeping with Judean burial practice.
Yochanan 19:41 In the vicinity of where he had been executed was a garden, and in the garden was a new tomb in which no one had ever been buried.
Yochanan 19:42 So, because it was Preparation Day for the Judeans, and because the tomb was close by, that is where they buried Yahshua.
Yochanan 20:1 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Miryam from Magdala went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb.
Yochanan 20:2 So she came running to Shim`on Kefa and the other talmid, the one Yahshua loved, and said to them, "They've taken the Master out of the tomb, and we don't know where they've put him!"
Yochanan 20:3 Then Kefa and the other talmid started for the tomb.
Yochanan 20:4 They both ran, but the other talmid outran Kefa and reached the tomb first.
Yochanan 20:5 Stooping down, he saw the linen burial-sheets lying there but did not go in.
Yochanan 20:6 Then, following him, Shim`on Kefa arrived, entered the tomb and saw the burial-sheets lying there,
Yochanan 20:7 also the cloth that had been around his head, lying not with the sheets but in a separate place and still folded up.
Yochanan 20:8 Then the other talmid, who had arrived at the tomb first, also went in; he saw, and he trusted.
Yochanan 20:9 (They had not yet come to understand that the Tanakh teaches that the Messiah has to rise from the dead.)
Yochanan 20:10 So the talmidim returned home,
Yochanan 20:11 but Miryam stood outside crying. As she cried, she bent down, peered into the tomb,
Yochanan 20:12 and saw two malachei in white sitting where the body of Yahshua had been, one at the head and one at the feet.
Yochanan 20:13 "Why are you crying?" they asked her. "They took my Master," she said to them, "and I don't know where they have put him."
Yochanan 20:14 As she said this, she turned around and saw Yahshua standing there, but she didn't know it was he.
Yochanan 20:15 Yahshua said to her, "Lady, why are you crying? Whom are you looking for?" Thinking he was the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you're the one who carried him away, just tell me where you put him; and I'll go and get him myself."
Yochanan 20:16 Yahshua said to her, "Miryam!" Turning, she cried out to him in Hebrew, "Rabbani!" (that is, "Teacher!")
Yochanan 20:17 "Stop holding onto me," Yahshua said to her, "because I haven't yet gone back to the Father. But go to my brothers, and tell them that I am going back to my Father and your Father, to my El and your El."
Yochanan 20:18 Miryam of Magdala went to the talmidim with the news that she had seen the master and that he had told her this.
Yochanan 20:19 In the evening that same day, the first day of the week, when the talmidim were gathered together behind locked doors out of fear of the Judeans, Yahshua came, stood in the middle and said, "Shalom aleikhem!"
Yochanan 20:20 Having greeted them, he showed them his hands and his side. The talmidim were overjoyed to see the master.
Yochanan 20:21 "Shalom aleikhem!" Yahshua repeated. "Just as the Father sent me, I myself am also sending you."
Yochanan 20:22 Having said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Ruach HaKodesh!
Yochanan 20:23 If you forgive someone's sins, their sins are forgiven; if you hold them, they are held."
Yochanan 20:24 Now T'oma (the name means "twin"), one of the Twelve, was not with them when Yahshua came.
Yochanan 20:25 When the other talmidim told him, "We have seen the Master," he replied, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands, put my finger into the place where the nails were and put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe it."
Yochanan 20:26 A week later his talmidim were once more in the room, and this time T'oma was with them. Although the doors were locked, Yahshua came, stood among them and said, "Shalom aleikhem!"
Yochanan 20:27 Then he said to T'oma, "Put your finger here, look at my hands, take your hand and put it into my side. Don't be lacking in trust, but have trust!"
Yochanan 20:28 T'oma answered him, "My Master and my Elohim!"
Yochanan 20:29 Yahshua said to him, "Have you trusted because you have seen me? How blessed are those who do not see, but trust anyway!"
Yochanan 20:30 In the presence of the talmidim Yahshua performed many other miracles which have not been recorded in this book.
Yochanan 20:31 But these which have been recorded are here so that you may trust that Yahshua is the Mashiach, the Son of Elohim, and that by this trust you may have life because of who he is.
Yochanan 21:1 After this, Yahshua appeared again to the talmidim at Lake Tiberias. Here is how it happened:
Yochanan 21:2 Shim`on Kefa and T'oma (his name means "twin") were together with Natan'el from Kanah in the Galil, the sons of Zavdai, and two other talmidim.
Yochanan 21:3 Shim`on Kefa said, "I'm going fishing." They said to him, "We're coming with you." They went and got into the boat, but that night they didn't catch anything.
Yochanan 21:4 However, just as day was breaking, Yahshua stood on shore, but the talmidim didn't know it was he.
Yochanan 21:5 He said to them, "You don't have any fish, do you?" "No," they answered him.
Yochanan 21:6 He said to them, "Throw in your net to starboard and you will catch some." So they threw in their net, and there were so many fish in it that they couldn't haul it aboard.
Yochanan 21:7 The talmid Yahshua loved said to Kefa, "It's the Master!" On hearing it was the Master, Shim`on Kefa threw on his coat, because he was stripped for work, and plunged into the lake;
Yochanan 21:8 but the other talmidim followed in the boat, dragging the net full of fish; for they weren't far from shore, only about a hundred yards.
Yochanan 21:9 When they stepped ashore, they saw a fire of burning coals with a fish on it, and some bread.
Yochanan 21:10 Yahshua said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught."
Yochanan 21:11 Shim`on Kefa went up and dragged the net ashore. It was full of fish, 153 of them; but even with so many, the net wasn't torn.
Yochanan 21:12 Yahshua said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the talmidim dared to ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Master.
Yochanan 21:13 Yahshua came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.
Yochanan 21:14 This was now the third time Yahshua had appeared to the talmidim after being raised from the dead.
Yochanan 21:15 After breakfast, Yahshua said to Shim`on Kefa, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me more than these?" He replied, "Yes, Master, you know I'm your friend." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
Yochanan 21:16 A second time he said to him, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me?" He replied, "Yes, Master, you know I'm your friend." He said to him, "Shepherd my sheep."
Yochanan 21:17 The third time he said to him, "Shim`on Bar-Yochanan, are you my friend?" Shim`on was hurt that he questioned him a third time: "Are you my friend?" So he replied, "Master, you know everything! You know I'm your friend!" Yahshua said to him, "Feed my sheep!
Yochanan 21:18 Yes, indeed! I tell you, when you were younger, you put on your clothes and went where you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go."
Yochanan 21:19 He said this to indicate the kind of death by which Kefa would bring esteem to Elohim. Then Yahshua said to him, "Follow me!"
Yochanan 21:20 Kefa turned and saw the talmid Yahshua especially loved following behind, the one who had leaned against him at the supper and had asked, "Who is the one who is betraying you?"
Yochanan 21:21 On seeing him, Kefa said to Yahshua, "Master, what about him?"
Yochanan 21:22 Yahshua said to him, "If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you? You, follow me!"
Yochanan 21:23 Therefore the word spread among the brothers that that talmid would not die. However, Yahshua didn't say he wouldn't die, but simply, "If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you?"
Yochanan 21:24 This one is the talmid who is testifying about these things and who has recorded them. And we know that his testimony is true.
Yochanan 21:25 But there are also many other things Yahshua did; and if they were all to be recorded, I don't think the whole world could contain the books that would have to be written!

Yochanan 15:1 אנכי הגפן האמתית ואבי הוא הכרם׃
Yochanan 15:2 כל־שריג בי אשר איננו עשה־פרי יסירנו ואשר יעשה פרי יטהרנו להרבות את־פריו׃
Yochanan 15:3 אתם כבר מטהרים בעבור דברי אשר דברתי אליכם׃
Yochanan 15:4 עמדו־בי ואני בכם כאשר השריג בל־יעשה פרי מאליו אם־לא יעמד בגפן כן גם־אתם אם־לא תעמדו בי׃
Yochanan 15:5 אנכי הוא הגפן ואתם השריגים העמד בי ואני בו הוא יעשה־פרי לרב כי בלעדי לא תוכלון עשות דבר׃
Yochanan 15:6 איש אשר לא יעמד בי השלך החוצה כשריג וייבש וילקטום וישליכום אל־תוך האש והיה לבער׃

Yochanan 16:9 על־החטא כי לא־האמינו בי׃
Yochanan 16:10 ועל־הצדק כי אלך אל־אבי ולא תוסיפו לראות אתי׃

Yochanan 16:12 עוד רבות לי להגיד לכם אך לא־תוכלון שאת עתה׃

Yochanan 16:18 ויאמרו מה אמרו מעט לא ידענו מה־דבר׃
Yochanan 16:19 וידע ישוע כי עם־לבבם לשאל אתו ויאמר אליהם העל הדבר הזה תדרשו זה את־זה כי אמרתי הן־מעט ולא תראוני ועוד־מעט ותחזוני׃
Yochanan 16:20 אמן אמן אני אמר לכם כי אתם תבכו ותילילו והעולם ישמח הן־אתם תעצבו אכן עצבכם יהפך לששון׃
Yochanan 16:21 האשה כי תקריב ללדת עצב לה כי מלאו ימיה ואחרי לדתה את־הילד לא־תזכר עוד את־עצבונה והיא שמחה כי־אדם נולד לעולם׃
Yochanan 16:22 וגם־אתם כעת תתעצבו ואני אשוב אראה אתכם ושש לבכם ואין־מסיר שמחתכם מכם׃
Yochanan 16:23 וביום ההוא לא תשאלוני דבר אמן אמן אני אמר לכם כי כל־אשר תשאלו מאת אבי בשמי יתן לכם׃
Yochanan 16:24 עד־עתה לא־שאלתם דבר בשמי שאלו ותקחו למען תמלא שמחתכם׃
Yochanan 16:25 את־אלה דברתי אליכם במשלים והנה שעה באה ולא אדבר עוד אליכם במשלים כי אם־ברור אדבר לכם על־דבר אבי׃
Yochanan 16:26 ביום ההוא תשאלו בשמי ואינני אמר לכם אשר אני אעתיר לאבי בעדכם׃
Yochanan 16:27 כי־אבי גם־הוא אהב אתכם עקב אשר אהבתוני והאמנתם כי־מאת אלהים יצאתי׃

Yochanan 16:32 הנה שעה באה ועתה זה הגיעה ונפצותם איש לביתו ואתי תעזבו לבדי ואינני לבדי כי אבי עמדי׃
Yochanan 16:33 את־אלה דברתי אליכם למען יהיה־לכם שלום בי צרה לכם בעולם אך־יאמץ לבבכם אני נצחתי את־העולם׃
Yochanan 17:1 את־אלה דבר ישוע וישא עיניו השמימה ויאמר אבי הנה־באה השעה פאר את־בנך למען יפארך גם־בנך׃
Yochanan 17:2 כאשר נתת לו השלטן על־כל־בשר למען יתן חיי עולם לכל אשר־נתת לו׃
Yochanan 17:3 ואלה הם חיי העולם לדעת אתך כי אתה האלהים לבדך ואת־ישוע המשיח אשר שלחת׃
Yochanan 17:4 אני פארתיך בארץ כליתי מלאכתך אשר צויתני לעשות׃
Yochanan 17:5 ועתה פארני אתה אבי עמך בכבוד אשר היה־לי עמך טרם היות העולם׃

Yochanan 15:3 אתם כבר מטהרים בעבור דברי אשר דברתי אליכם׃
Yochanan 15:4 עמדו־בי ואני בכם כאשר השריג בל־יעשה פרי מאליו אם־לא יעמד בגפן כן גם־אתם אם־לא תעמדו בי׃
Yochanan 15:5 אנכי הוא הגפן ואתם השריגים העמד בי ואני בו הוא יעשה־פרי לרב כי בלעדי לא תוכלון עשות דבר׃
Yochanan 15:6 איש אשר לא יעמד בי השלך החוצה כשריג וייבש וילקטום וישליכום אל־תוך האש והיה לבער׃
Yochanan 15:7 אם־תעמדו בי ודברי יהיו בכם ככל־מה־שחפצתם אז תשאלו ויעשה לכם׃
Yochanan 15:8 בזאת נכבד אבי בעשותכם פרי לרב והייתם לי לתלמידים׃
Yochanan 15:9 כאשר אהבני אבי אהבתי אתכם גם־אני ואתם עמדו באהבתי׃
Yochanan 15:10 אם־תשמרו את־מצותי תעמדו באהבתי כאשר שמרתי גם־אני את־מצות אבי ועמדתי באהבתו׃
Yochanan 15:11 את־אלה דברתי אליכם בעבור תשכן שמחתי בכם ותהיה שמחתכם שלמה׃
Yochanan 15:12 הנה־זאת מצותי אשר תההבון איש את־אחיו כאשר אהבתיכם׃
Yochanan 15:13 אין אהבה רבה מאהבת הנותן נפשו בעד ידידיו׃
Yochanan 15:14 ואתם אם־תעשו את אשר־אני מצוה אתכם ידידי אתם׃
Yochanan 15:15 לא־אקרא לכם עוד עבדים כי העבד איננו ידע את־אשר יעשה אדניו ואמרתי ידידי אתם כי כל־אשר שמעתי מאת אבי הודעתי אתכם׃
Yochanan 15:16 לא אתם בחרתם בי כי אם־אנכי בחרתי בכם והפקדתי אתכם ללכת ולעשות פרי ופריכם יקום והיה כל אשר תשאלו מאבי בשמי יתן לכם׃
Yochanan 15:17 את־אלה אנכי מצוה אתכם למען תאהבון איש את־אחיו׃
Yochanan 15:18 אם־העולם שנא אתכם דעו כי אתי שנא ראשונה׃
Yochanan 15:19 אלו מן־העולם הייתם היה העולם אהב את אשר־לו ויען כי־אינכם מן־העולם כי אם־בחרתי אתכם מן־העולם לכן העולם ישנא אתכם׃
Yochanan 15:20 זככו את־דברי אשר דברתי אליכם לאמר לא גדול העבד מאדניו אם־רדפו אתי גם־אתכם ירדפו אם־שמרו את־דברי גם את־דברכם ישמרו׃
Yochanan 15:21 אבל כל־זאת יעשו לכם בעבור שמי כי לא־ידעו את־שלחי׃
Yochanan 15:22 לולא באתי ודברתי אליכם לא־היה בהם חטא ועתה לא יוכלון להתנצל על־חטאתם׃
Yochanan 15:23 השנא אתי ישנא גם־את־אבי׃
Yochanan 15:24 לולא עשיתי בתוכם את־המעשים אשר לא עשה איש אחר לא־היה בהם חטא ועתה ראו וישנאו גם־אתי גם־את־אבי׃
Yochanan 15:25 אך למלאת דבר־הכתוב בתורתם שנאת חנם שנאוני׃
Yochanan 15:26 ובבוא הפרקליט אשר אשלח לכם מאת אבי רוח האמת היוצא מאת אבי הוא יעיד עלי׃
Yochanan 15:27 וגם־אתם תעידו כי מראש הייתם עמדי׃
Yochanan 16:1 את אלה דברתי אליכם למען לא תכשלו׃
Yochanan 16:2 הנה ינדו אתכם ואף באה שעה אשר כל־הרג אתכם ידמה לעשות עבודה לאלהים׃
Yochanan 16:3 ואת־אלה יעשו לכם יען גם־את־אבי וגם־אתי לא ידעו׃
Yochanan 16:4 אבל הגדתי לכם את־אלה למען אשר־תזכרו בבא השעה כי אנכי דברתי אליכם ומראש לא־דברתי אליכם כאלה כי הייתי עמכם׃
Yochanan 16:5 ועתה הלך אנכי אל־שלחי ולא ישאלני איש מכם אנה תלך׃
Yochanan 16:6 ועצבת מלאה לבבכם על־דברי את־אלה אליכם׃
Yochanan 16:7 אולם אמת אגיד לכם כי לכתי אך־טוב לכם כי אם־לא אלך לא־יבא אליכם הפרקליט ואם־הלכתי אשלחהו אליכם׃
Yochanan 16:8 והיה כי־יבא והוכיח את־העולם על־דבר החטא והצדק והמשפט׃
Yochanan 16:9 על־החטא כי לא־האמינו בי׃
Yochanan 16:10 ועל־הצדק כי אלך אל־אבי ולא תוסיפו לראות אתי׃
Yochanan 16:11 ועל־המשפט כי נדון שר העולם הזה׃
Yochanan 16:12 עוד רבות לי להגיד לכם אך לא־תוכלון שאת עתה׃
Yochanan 16:13 ורוח האמת בבאו הוא ידריך אתכם אל־האמת כלה כי לא ידבר מעצמו כי אם־אשר ישמע ידבר והאתיות יגיד לכם׃
Yochanan 16:14 הוא יפארני כי משלי יקח ויגיד לכם׃
Yochanan 16:15 כל אשר לאבי לי הוא על־כן אמרתי כי משלי יקח ויגיד לכם׃
Yochanan 16:16 הן־מעט ולא תראוני ועוד־מעט ותחזוני (כי־אני הלך אל־אבי)׃
Yochanan 16:17 ומקצת תלמידיו נדברו איש אל־אחיו לאמר מה אמרו אלינו הן־מעט ולא תראוני ועוד־מעט ותחזוני ואמרו אני הלך אל־אבי׃
Yochanan 16:18 ויאמרו מה אמרו מעט לא ידענו מה־דבר׃
Yochanan 16:19 וידע ישוע כי עם־לבבם לשאל אתו ויאמר אליהם העל הדבר הזה תדרשו זה את־זה כי אמרתי הן־מעט ולא תראוני ועוד־מעט ותחזוני׃
Yochanan 16:20 אמן אמן אני אמר לכם כי אתם תבכו ותילילו והעולם ישמח הן־אתם תעצבו אכן עצבכם יהפך לששון׃
Yochanan 16:21 האשה כי תקריב ללדת עצב לה כי מלאו ימיה ואחרי לדתה את־הילד לא־תזכר עוד את־עצבונה והיא שמחה כי־אדם נולד לעולם׃
Yochanan 16:22 וגם־אתם כעת תתעצבו ואני אשוב אראה אתכם ושש לבכם ואין־מסיר שמחתכם מכם׃
Yochanan 16:23 וביום ההוא לא תשאלוני דבר אמן אמן אני אמר לכם כי כל־אשר תשאלו מאת אבי בשמי יתן לכם׃
Yochanan 16:24 עד־עתה לא־שאלתם דבר בשמי שאלו ותקחו למען תמלא שמחתכם׃
Yochanan 16:25 את־אלה דברתי אליכם במשלים והנה שעה באה ולא אדבר עוד אליכם במשלים כי אם־ברור אדבר לכם על־דבר אבי׃
Yochanan 16:26 ביום ההוא תשאלו בשמי ואינני אמר לכם אשר אני אעתיר לאבי בעדכם׃
Yochanan 16:27 כי־אבי גם־הוא אהב אתכם עקב אשר אהבתוני והאמנתם כי־מאת אלהים יצאתי׃
Yochanan 16:28 מאת האב יצאתי ואבא לעולם אשובה אסור מן־העולם ואלך אל־אבי׃
Yochanan 16:29 ויאמרו אליו תלמידיו הנה כעת ברור תמלל ולא תמשל משל׃
Yochanan 16:30 עתה ידענו כי־כל ידעת ולא תצטרך אשר ישאלך איש בזאת נאמין כי מאת אלהים יצאת׃
Yochanan 16:31 ויען ישוע ויאמר אליהם עתה תאמינו׃
Yochanan 16:32 הנה שעה באה ועתה זה הגיעה ונפצותם איש לביתו ואתי תעזבו לבדי ואינני לבדי כי אבי עמדי׃
Yochanan 16:33 את־אלה דברתי אליכם למען יהיה־לכם שלום בי צרה לכם בעולם אך־יאמץ לבבכם אני נצחתי את־העולם׃
Yochanan 17:1 את־אלה דבר ישוע וישא עיניו השמימה ויאמר אבי הנה־באה השעה פאר את־בנך למען יפארך גם־בנך׃
Yochanan 17:2 כאשר נתת לו השלטן על־כל־בשר למען יתן חיי עולם לכל אשר־נתת לו׃
Yochanan 17:3 ואלה הם חיי העולם לדעת אתך כי אתה האלהים לבדך ואת־ישוע המשיח אשר שלחת׃
Yochanan 17:4 אני פארתיך בארץ כליתי מלאכתך אשר צויתני לעשות׃
Yochanan 17:5 ועתה פארני אתה אבי עמך בכבוד אשר היה־לי עמך טרם היות העולם׃
Yochanan 17:6 את שמך הודעתי לבני האדם אשר נתת לי מתוך העולם לך היו ולי נתת אתם ואת־דברך נצרו׃
Yochanan 17:7 ועתה ידעו כי־כל אשר נתת לי מעמך הוא׃
Yochanan 17:8 כי הדברים אשר נתת לי נתתי להם והם קבלום ויכירו באמת כי מעמך יצאתי ויאמינו כי אתה שלחתני׃
Yochanan 17:9 אני בעדם אעתיר לך לא בעד העולם אעתיר כי אם־בעד אלה אשר נתת לי כי־לך המה׃
Yochanan 17:10 וכל־אשר לי לך הוא ושלך שלי ונתפארתי בהם׃
Yochanan 17:11 ואני אינני עוד בעולם והם בעולם המה ואני בא אליך אבי הקדוש נצר אתם בשמך את־אשר נתת לי למען יהיו אחד כמנו׃
Yochanan 17:12 בהיותי עמהם בעולם אני נצרתי אתם בשמך את־אשר נתתם לי שמרתי ולא־אבד מהם איש זולתי בן־האבדון למלאת דבר הכתוב׃
Yochanan 17:13 ועתה הנני בא אליך ואת־אלה אני מדבר בעולם למען תמלא להם שמחתי בקרבם׃
Yochanan 17:14 אני נתתי להם את־דברך והעולם שנא אתם יען כי לא מן־העולם הם כאשר גם־אנכי לא מן־העולם אני׃
Yochanan 17:15 ולא אעתיר לך אשר תקחם מן־העולם רק שתצרם מן־הרע׃
Yochanan 17:16 לא מן־העולם הם כאשר גם־אנכי אינני מן־העולם׃
Yochanan 17:17 קדש אתם באמתך דברך אמת׃
Yochanan 17:18 כאשר אתה שלחת אתי אל־העולם כן גם־אני שלחתי אתם אל־העולם׃
Yochanan 17:19 ואני מקדיש את־נפשי בעדם למען יהיו גם־הם מקדשים באמת׃
Yochanan 17:20 אולם לא לבד בעד־אלה אנכי מעתיר לך כי אם־גם־בעד המאמינים בי על־פי דברם׃
Yochanan 17:21 למען יהיו כלם אחד כאשר אתה אבי בי אתה ואני בך והיו גם־המה בנו כאחד למען יאמין העולם כי אתה שלחתני׃
Yochanan 17:22 ואני נתתי להם את־הכבוד אשר נתת לי למען יהיו אחד כאשר אנחנו אחד׃
Yochanan 17:23 אני בהם ואתה בי למען יהיו משלמים לאחד ולמען ידע העולם כי אתה שלחתני ואהבת אתם כאשר אהבתני׃
Yochanan 17:24 אבי אשר נתתם לי רצוני שיהיו עמדי באשר אהיה אני למען יחזו בכבודי אשר נתת לי כי אהבתני לפני מוסדות עולם׃
Yochanan 17:25 אבי הצדיק הן העולם לא ידעך ואני ידעתיך ואלה הכירו אשר אתה שלחתני׃
Yochanan 17:26 ואני הודעתים את־שמך ואוסיף להודיעם למען תהיה־בם האהבה אשר אהבתני וגם אני אהיה בהם׃

Yochannan 15-17
Yochanan 15:1 "I am the real vine, and my Father is the gardener.
Yochanan 15:2 Every branch which is part of me but fails to bear fruit, he cuts off; and every branch that does bear fruit, he prunes, so that it may bear more fruit.
Yochanan 15:3 Right now, because of the word which I have spoken to you, you are pruned.
Yochanan 15:4 Stay united with me, as I will with you — for just as the branch can't put forth fruit by itself apart from the vine, so you can't bear fruit apart from me.
Yochanan 15:5 "I am the vine and you are the branches. Those who stay united with me, and I with them, are the ones who bear much fruit; because apart from me you can't do a thing.
Yochanan 15:6 Unless a person remains united with me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up. Such branches are gathered and thrown into the fire, where they are burned up.
Yochanan 15:7 "If you remain united with me, and my words with you, then ask whatever you want, and it will happen for you.
Yochanan 15:8 This is how my Father is esteemed — in your bearing much fruit; this is how you will prove to be my talmidim.
Yochanan 15:9 "Just as my Father has loved me, I too have loved you; so stay in my love.
Yochanan 15:10 If you keep my commands, you will stay in my love — just as I have kept my Father's commands and stay in his love.
Yochanan 15:11 I have said this to you so that my joy may be in you, and your joy be complete.
Yochanan 15:12 "This is my command: that you keep on loving each other just as I have loved you.
Yochanan 15:13 No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends.
Yochanan 15:14 You are my friends, if you do what I command you.
Yochanan 15:15 I no longer call you slaves, because a slave doesn't know what his master is about; but I have called you friends, because everything I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
Yochanan 15:16 You did not choose me, I chose you; and I have commissioned you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last; so that whatever you ask from the Father in my name he may give you.
Yochanan 15:17 This is what I command you: keep loving each other!
Yochanan 15:18 "If the world hates you, understand that it hated me first.
Yochanan 15:19 If you belonged to the world, the world would have loved its own. But because you do not belong to the world — on the contrary, I have picked you out of the world — therefore the world hates you.
Yochanan 15:20 Remember what I told you, 'A slave is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you too; if they kept my word, they will keep yours too.
Yochanan 15:21 But they will do all this to you on my account, because they don't know the One who sent me.
Yochanan 15:22 "If I had not come and spoken to them, they wouldn't be guilty of sin; but now, they have no excuse for their sin.
Yochanan 15:23 Whoever hates me hates my Father also.
Yochanan 15:24 If I had not done in their presence works which no one else ever did, they would not be guilty of sin; but now, they have seen them and have hated both me and my Father.
Yochanan 15:25 But this has happened in order to fulfill the words in their Torah which read, 'They hated me for no reason at all.'
Yochanan 15:26 "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send you from the Father — the Spirit of Truth, who keeps going out from the Father — he will testify on my behalf.
Yochanan 15:27 And you testify too, because you have been with me from the outset.
Yochanan 16:1 "I have told you these things so that you won't be caught by surprise.
Yochanan 16:2 They will ban you from the synagogue; in fact, the time will come when anyone who kills you will think he is serving Elohim!
Yochanan 16:3 They will do these things because they have understood neither the Father nor me.
Yochanan 16:4 But I have told you this, so that when the time comes for it to happen, you will remember that I told you. I didn't tell you this at first, because I was with you.
Yochanan 16:5 But now I am going to the One who sent me. "Not one of you is asking me, 'Where are you going?'
Yochanan 16:6 Instead, because I have said these things to you, you are overcome with grief.
Yochanan 16:7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don't go away, the comforting Counselor will not come to you. However, if I do go, I will send him to you.
Yochanan 16:8 "When he comes, he will show that the world is wrong about sin, about righteousness and about judgment —
Yochanan 16:9 about sin, in that people don't put their trust in me;
Yochanan 16:10 about righteousness, in that I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me;
Yochanan 16:11 about judgment, in that the ruler of this world has been judged.
Yochanan 16:12 "I still have many things to tell you, but you can't bear them now.
Yochanan 16:13 However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own initiative but will say only what he hears. He will also announce to you the events of the future.
Yochanan 16:14 He will glorify me, because he will receive from what is mine and announce it to you.
Yochanan 16:15 Everything the Father has is mine; this is why I said that he receives from what is mine and will announce it to you.
Yochanan 16:16 "In a little while, you will see me no more; then, a little while later, you will see me."
Yochanan 16:17 At this, some of the talmidim said to one another, "What is this that he's telling us, 'In a little while, you won't see me; then, a little while later, you will see me'? and, 'I am going to the Father'?"
Yochanan 16:18 They went on saying, "What is this 'little while'? We don't understand what he's talking about."
Yochanan 16:19 Yahshua knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, "Are you asking each other what I meant by saying, 'In a little while, you won't see me; and then, a little while later, you will see me'?
Yochanan 16:20 Yes, it's true. I tell you that you will sob and mourn, and the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
Yochanan 16:21 When a woman is giving birth, she is in pain; because her time has come. But when the baby is born, she forgets her suffering out of joy that a child has come into the world.
Yochanan 16:22 So you do indeed feel grief now, but I am going to see you again. Then your hearts will be full of joy, and no one will take your joy away from you.
Yochanan 16:23 "When that day comes, you won't ask anything of me! Yes, indeed! I tell you that whatever you ask from the Father, he will give you in my name.
Yochanan 16:24 Till now you haven't asked for anything in my name. Keep asking, and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
Yochanan 16:25 "I have said these things to you with the help of illustrations; however, a time is coming when I will no longer speak indirectly but will talk about the Father in plain language.
Yochanan 16:26 When that day comes, you will ask in my name. I am not telling you that I will pray to the Father on your behalf,
Yochanan 16:27 for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from Elohim.
Yochanan 16:28 "I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and returning to the Father."
Yochanan 16:29 The talmidim said to him, "Look, you're talking plainly right now, you're not speaking indirectly at all.
Yochanan 16:30 Now we know that you know everything, and that you don't need to have people put their questions into words. This makes us believe that you came from Elohim."
Yochanan 16:31 Yahshua answered, "Now you do believe.
Yochanan 16:32 But a time is coming — indeed it has come already — when you will be scattered, each one looking out for himself; and you will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone; because the Father is with me.
Yochanan 16:33 "I have said these things to you so that, united with me, you may have shalom. In the world, you have tsuris. But be brave! I have conquered the world!"
Yochanan 17:1 After Yahshua had said these things, he looked up toward heaven and said, "Father, the time has come. Esteem your Son, so that the Son may esteem you —
Yochanan 17:2 just as you gave him authority over all mankind, so that he might give eternal life to all those whom you have given him.
Yochanan 17:3 And eternal life is this: to know you, the one true Elohim, and him whom you sent, Yahshua HaMashiach.
Yochanan 17:4 "I esteemed you on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.
Yochanan 17:5 Now, Father, esteem me alongside yourself. Give me the same esteem I had with you before the world existed.
Yochanan 17:6 "I made your name known to the people you gave me out of the world. They were yours, you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.
Yochanan 17:7 Now they know that everything you have given me is from you,
Yochanan 17:8 because the words you gave me I have given to them, and they have received them. They have really come to know that I came from you, and they have come to trust that you sent me.
Yochanan 17:9 "I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given to me, because they are yours.
Yochanan 17:10 Indeed, all I have is yours, and all you have is mine, and in them I have been esteemed.
Yochanan 17:11 Now I am no longer in the world. They are in the world, but I am coming to you. Kadosh Father, guard them by the power of your name, which you have given to me, so that they may be one, just as we are.
Yochanan 17:12 When I was with them, I guarded them by the power of your name, which you have given to me; yes, I kept watch over them; and not one of them was destroyed (except the one meant for destruction, so that the Tanakh might be fulfilled).
Yochanan 17:13 But now, I am coming to you; and I say these things while I am still in the world so that they may have my joy made complete in themselves.
Yochanan 17:14 "I have given them your word, and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world — just as I myself do not belong to the world.
Yochanan 17:15 I don't ask you to take them out of the world, but to protect them from the Evil One.
Yochanan 17:16 They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
Yochanan 17:17 Set them apart for kadoshness by means of the truth — your word is truth.
Yochanan 17:18 Just as you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.
Yochanan 17:19 On their behalf I am setting myself apart for kadoshness, so that they too may be set apart for kadoshness by means of the truth.
Yochanan 17:20 "I pray not only for these, but also for those who will trust in me because of their word,
Yochanan 17:21 that they may all be one. Just as you, Father, are united with me and I with you, I pray that they may be united with us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.
Yochanan 17:22 The esteem which you have given to me, I have given to them; so that they may be one, just as we are one —
Yochanan 17:23 I united with them and you with me, so that they may be completely one, and the world thus realize that you sent me, and that you have loved them just as you have loved me.
Yochanan 17:24 "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am; so that they may see my esteem, which you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
Yochanan 17:25 Righteous Father, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these people have known that you sent me.
Yochanan 17:26 I made your name known to them, and I will continue to make it known; so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I myself may be united with them."

Yochanan 15:23 Whoever hates me hates my Father also.
Yochanan 15:24 If I had not done in their presence works which no one else ever did, they would not be guilty of sin; but now, they have seen them and have hated both me and my Father.
Yochanan 15:25 But this has happened in order to fulfill the words in their Torah which read, 'They hated me for no reason at all.'
Yochanan 15:26 "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send you from the Father — the Spirit of Truth, who keeps going out from the Father — he will testify on my behalf.
Yochanan 15:27 And you testify too, because you have been with me from the outset.
Yochanan 16:1 "I have told you these things so that you won't be caught by surprise.
Yochanan 16:2 They will ban you from the synagogue; in fact, the time will come when anyone who kills you will think he is serving Elohim!
Yochanan 16:3 They will do these things because they have understood neither the Father nor me.
Yochanan 16:4 But I have told you this, so that when the time comes for it to happen, you will remember that I told you. I didn't tell you this at first, because I was with you.
Yochanan 16:5 But now I am going to the One who sent me. "Not one of you is asking me, 'Where are you going?'
Yochanan 16:6 Instead, because I have said these things to you, you are overcome with grief.
Yochanan 16:7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don't go away, the comforting Counselor will not come to you. However, if I do go, I will send him to you.
Yochanan 16:8 "When he comes, he will show that the world is wrong about sin, about righteousness and about judgment —
Yochanan 16:9 about sin, in that people don't put their trust in me;
Yochanan 16:10 about righteousness, in that I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me;
Yochanan 16:11 about judgment, in that the ruler of this world has been judged.
Yochanan 16:12 "I still have many things to tell you, but you can't bear them now.
Yochanan 16:13 However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own initiative but will say only what he hears. He will also announce to you the events of the future.
Yochanan 16:14 He will glorify me, because he will receive from what is mine and announce it to you.
Yochanan 16:15 Everything the Father has is mine; this is why I said that he receives from what is mine and will announce it to you.
Yochanan 16:16 "In a little while, you will see me no more; then, a little while later, you will see me."
Yochanan 16:17 At this, some of the talmidim said to one another, "What is this that he's telling us, 'In a little while, you won't see me; then, a little while later, you will see me'? and, 'I am going to the Father'?"
Yochanan 16:18 They went on saying, "What is this 'little while'? We don't understand what he's talking about."
Yochanan 16:19 Yahshua knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, "Are you asking each other what I meant by saying, 'In a little while, you won't see me; and then, a little while later, you will see me'?
Yochanan 16:20 Yes, it's true. I tell you that you will sob and mourn, and the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
Yochanan 16:21 When a woman is giving birth, she is in pain; because her time has come. But when the baby is born, she forgets her suffering out of joy that a child has come into the world.
Yochanan 16:22 So you do indeed feel grief now, but I am going to see you again. Then your hearts will be full of joy, and no one will take your joy away from you.
Yochanan 16:23 "When that day comes, you won't ask anything of me! Yes, indeed! I tell you that whatever you ask from the Father, he will give you in my name.
Yochanan 16:24 Till now you haven't asked for anything in my name. Keep asking, and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
Yochanan 16:25 "I have said these things to you with the help of illustrations; however, a time is coming when I will no longer speak indirectly but will talk about the Father in plain language.
Yochanan 16:26 When that day comes, you will ask in my name. I am not telling you that I will pray to the Father on your behalf,
Yochanan 16:27 for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from Elohim.
Yochanan 16:28 "I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and returning to the Father."
Yochanan 16:29 The talmidim said to him, "Look, you're talking plainly right now, you're not speaking indirectly at all.
Yochanan 16:30 Now we know that you know everything, and that you don't need to have people put their questions into words. This makes us believe that you came from Elohim."
Yochanan 16:31 Yahshua answered, "Now you do believe.
Yochanan 16:32 But a time is coming — indeed it has come already — when you will be scattered, each one looking out for himself; and you will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone; because the Father is with me.
Yochanan 16:33 "I have said these things to you so that, united with me, you may have shalom. In the world, you have tsuris. But be brave! I have conquered the world!"
Yochanan 17:1 After Yahshua had said these things, he looked up toward heaven and said, "Father, the time has come. Esteem your Son, so that the Son may esteem you —
Yochanan 17:2 just as you gave him authority over all mankind, so that he might give eternal life to all those whom you have given him.
Yochanan 17:3 And eternal life is this: to know you, the one true Elohim, and him whom you sent, Yahshua HaMashiach.
Yochanan 17:4 "I esteemed you on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.
Yochanan 17:5 Now, Father, esteem me alongside yourself. Give me the same esteem I had with you before the world existed.
Yochanan 17:6 "I made your name known to the people you gave me out of the world. They were yours, you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.
Yochanan 17:7 Now they know that everything you have given me is from you,
Yochanan 17:8 because the words you gave me I have given to them, and they have received them. They have really come to know that I came from you, and they have come to trust that you sent me.
Yochanan 17:9 "I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given to me, because they are yours.
Yochanan 17:10 Indeed, all I have is yours, and all you have is mine, and in them I have been esteemed.
Yochanan 17:11 Now I am no longer in the world. They are in the world, but I am coming to you. Kadosh Father, guard them by the power of your name, which you have given to me, so that they may be one, just as we are.
Yochanan 17:12 When I was with them, I guarded them by the power of your name, which you have given to me; yes, I kept watch over them; and not one of them was destroyed (except the one meant for destruction, so that the Tanakh might be fulfilled).
Yochanan 17:13 But now, I am coming to you; and I say these things while I am still in the world so that they may have my joy made complete in themselves.
Yochanan 17:14 "I have given them your word, and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world — just as I myself do not belong to the world.
Yochanan 17:15 I don't ask you to take them out of the world, but to protect them from the Evil One.
Yochanan 17:16 They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
Yochanan 17:17 Set them apart for kadoshness by means of the truth — your word is truth.
Yochanan 17:18 Just as you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.
Yochanan 17:19 On their behalf I am setting myself apart for kadoshness, so that they too may be set apart for kadoshness by means of the truth.
Yochanan 17:20 "I pray not only for these, but also for those who will trust in me because of their word,
Yochanan 17:21 that they may all be one. Just as you, Father, are united with me and I with you, I pray that they may be united with us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.
Yochanan 17:22 The esteem which you have given to me, I have given to them; so that they may be one, just as we are one —
Yochanan 17:23 I united with them and you with me, so that they may be completely one, and the world thus realize that you sent me, and that you have loved them just as you have loved me.
Yochanan 17:24 "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am; so that they may see my esteem, which you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
Yochanan 17:25 Righteous Father, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these people have known that you sent me.
Yochanan 17:26 I made your name known to them, and I will continue to make it known; so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I myself may be united with them."

Joh 13:1 ולפני חג הפסח כשידע ישוע כי באה שעתו לעבר מן־העולם הזה אל־אביו כאשר אהב את בחיריו אשר בעולם כן אהבם עד־הקץ׃
Joh 13:2 ויהי בסעודת הערב והשטן נתן בלב יהודה בן־שמעון איש קריות למסרו׃
Joh 13:3 וידע ישוע כי נתן אביו את־הכל בידו וכי מאת אלהים בא ואל־אלהים ישוב׃
Joh 13:4 ויקם מעל השלחן ויפשט את־בגדיו ויקח מטפחת ויחגרה׃
Joh 13:5 ואחר יצק מים בכיור ויחל לרחץ את־רגלי תלמידיו ולנגב במטפחת אשר־הוא חגור בה׃
Joh 13:6 ויגש אל־שמעון פטרוס והוא אמר אליו אדני האתה תרחץ את־רגלי׃
Joh 13:7 ויען ישוע ויאמר אליו את אשר אני עשה אינך ידע כעת ואחרי־כן תדע׃
Joh 13:8 ויאמר אליו פטרוס לא־תרחץ את־רגלי לעולם ויען אתו ישוע אם־לא ארחץ אתך אין לך חלק עמי׃
Joh 13:9 ויאמר אליו שמעון פטרוס אדני לא את־רגלי לבד כי גם את־ידי ואת־ראשי׃
Joh 13:10 ויאמר אליו ישוע המרחץ אין־לו לרחץ עוד כי אם־את־רגליו כי כלו טהור הוא ואתם טהורים אך לא כלכם׃
Joh 13:11 כי ידע מי ימסריהו על־כן אמר לא כלכם טהורים׃
Joh 13:12 ויהי אחרי אשר־רחץ את רגליהם וילבש את־בגדיו וישב להסב ויאמר אליהם הידעתם מה הדבר אשר עשיתי לכם׃
Joh 13:13 אתם קראים־לי מורה ואדון והיטבתם אשר דברתם כי־אני הוא׃
Joh 13:14 לכן אם־אני המורה והאדון רחצתי את־רגליכם גם־אתם חיבים לרחץ איש את־רגלי אחיו׃
Joh 13:15 כי מופת נתתי לכם למען תעשו גם־אתם כאשר עשיתי לכם׃
Joh 13:16 אמן אמן אני אמר לכם אין העבד גדול מאדניו ואין השליח גדול משלחו׃
Joh 13:17 אם־ידעתם זאת אשריכם בעשותכם כן׃
Joh 13:18 לא על־כלכם דברתי יודע אני את־אשר בחרתי בהם אך למען ימלא הכתוב אוכל לחמי הגדיל עלי עקב׃

Joh 13:24 וירמז־לו שמעון פטרוס לדרש מי־הוא זה אשר דבר עליו׃
Joh 13:25 ויפל על־לב ישוע ויאמר אליו אדני מי הוא׃
Joh 13:26 ויען ישוע הנה זה הוא אשר־אטבל פרוסתי לתתה לו ויטבל את־פרוסתו ויתן אל־יהודה בן־שמעון איש קריות׃
Joh 13:27 ואחרי בלעו בא השטן אל־קרבו ויאמר אליו ישוע את אשר־תעשה עשה מהרה׃
Joh 13:28 ומן־המסבים לא־ידע איש על־מה דבר אליו כזאת׃
Joh 13:29 כי יש אשר חשבו כי־אמר אליו ישוע קנה־לנו צרכי החג או לתת לאביונים יען אשר כיס הכסף ביד יהודה׃
Joh 13:30 והוא בקחתו את־פרוסת הלחם מהר לצאת החוצה ולילה היה׃
Joh 13:31 הוא יצא וישוע אמר עתה נתפאר בן־האדם והאלהים נתפאר בו׃
Joh 13:32 הן האלהים נתפאר בו וגם יפארנו האלהים בעצמו ובמהרה יפארהו׃
Joh 13:33 בני עוד־מעט מזער אהיה עמכם אתם תבקשוני וכאשר אמרתי אל־היהודים כי אל־אשר אני הולך לא תוכלו לבוא שמה כן אני אמר אליכם עתה׃
Joh 13:34 מצוה חדשה אני נתן לכם אשר תאהבו אטש את־אחיו כאשר אהבתי אתכם כן גם־אתם איש את־אחיו תאהבון׃
Joh 13:35 בזאת ידעו כלם כי תלמידים אתם לי תשכן אהבה ביניכם׃
Joh 13:36 ויאמר אליו פטרוס אדני אנה תלך ויען אתו ישוע אל־אשר אני הולך שמה לא־תוכל עתה ללכת אחרי ואחרי־כן תלך אחרי׃
Joh 13:37 ויאמר אליו פטרוס מדוע לא־אוכל עתה ללכת אחריך הן־נפשי אתן בעד־נפשך׃
Joh 13:38 ויען אתו ישוע התתן נפשך בעד נפשי אמן אמן אני אמר בטרם יקרא התרנגל תכחש בי שלש פעמים׃
Joh 14:1 אל־יבהל לבבכם האמינו באלהים וגם בי האמינו׃
Joh 14:2 בבית אבי מדורות רבים ואם־לא כן הייתי אומר לכם הנני הלך להכין לכם מקום׃
Joh 14:3 והיה כי־הלכתי והכינותי לכם מקום שוב אשוב ולקחתי אתכם אלי למען תהיו גם־אתם באשר אני שם׃
Joh 14:4 וידעתם אנה אני הולך ואת־הדרך ידעתם׃
Joh 14:5 ויאמר אליו תומא אדני לא ידענו אנה אתה הלך ואיככה נדע את־הדרך׃

Joh 14:22 ויאמר אליו יהודה והוא לא איש קריות אדני מה־לך כי תחפץ להתודע אלינו ולא לעולם׃
Joh 14:23 ויען ישוע ויאמר אליו איש כי יאהבני ישמר את־דברי ואבי יאהב אתו ונבואה אליו ונשים מעונתנו אצלו׃
Joh 14:24 ואשר לא יאהבני הוא לא ישמר את־דברי והדבר אשר שמעתם לא־שלי הוא כי אם־של־אבי אשר שלחני׃
Joh 14:25 את־אלה דברתי אליכם בעוד היותי עמכם׃
Joh 14:26 והפרקליט רוח הקדש אשר־ישלח אבי בשמי הוא ילמדכם את־כל ויזכיר את־כל אשר־הגדתי לכם׃
Joh 14:27 שלום אניחן לכם את־שלומי אתן לכם לא כאשר יתן העולם אנכי נתן לכם אל־יבהל לבבכם ואל־יחת׃

Yoch 13:1 It was just before the festival of Pesach, and Yahshua knew that the time had come for him to pass from this world to the Father. Having loved his own people in the world, he loved them to the end.
Yoch 13:2 They were at supper, and the Adversary had already put the desire to betray him into the heart of Y'hudah Ben-Shim`on from K'riot.
Yoch 13:3 Yahshua was aware that the Father had put everything in his power, and that he had come from Elohim and was returning to Elohim.
Yoch 13:4 So he rose from the table, removed his outer garments and wrapped a towel around his waist.
Yoch 13:5 Then he poured some water into a basin and began to wash the feet of the talmidim and wipe them off with the towel wrapped around him.
Yoch 13:6 He came to Shim`on Kefa, who said to him, "Adon! You are washing my feet?"
Yoch 13:7 Yahshua answered him, "You don't understand yet what I am doing, but in time you will understand."
Yoch 13:8 "No!" said Kefa, "You will never wash my feet!" Yahshua answered him, "If I don't wash you, you have no share with me."
Yoch 13:9 "Adon," Shim`on Kefa replied, "not only my feet, but my hands and head too!"
Yoch 13:10 Yahshua said to him, "A man who has had a bath doesn't need to wash, except his feet — his body is already clean. And you people are clean, but not all of you."
Yoch 13:11 (He knew who was betraying him; this is why he said, "Not all of you are clean.")

Yoch 13:24 So Shim`on Kefa motioned to him and said, "Ask which one he's talking about."
Yoch 13:25 Leaning against Yahshua's chest, he asked Yahshua, "Adon, who is it?"
Yoch 13:26 Yahshua answered, "It's the one to whom I give this piece of matzah after I dip it in the dish." So he dipped the piece of matzah and gave it to Y'hudah Ben-Shim`on from K'riot.
Yoch 13:27 As soon as Y'hudah took the piece of matzah, the Adversary went into him. "What you are doing, do quickly!" Yahshua said to him.
Yoch 13:28 But no one at the table understood why he had said this to him.
Yoch 13:29 Some thought that since Y'hudah was in charge of the common purse, Yahshua was telling him, "Buy what we need for the festival," or telling him to give something to the poor.
Yoch 13:30 As soon as he had taken the piece of matzah, Y'hudah went out, and it was night.
Yoch 13:31 After Y'hudah had left, Yahshua said, "Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and Elohim has been glorified in him.

Yoch 14:2 In my Father's house are many places to live. If there weren't, I would have told you; because I am going there to prepare a place for you.

Joh 11:3 ותשלחנה אחיותיו אליו לאמר אדני הנה אשר אהבת חלה הוא׃
Joh 11:4 וישמע ישוע ויאמר המחלה הזאת לא למות היא כי אם־לכבוד האלהים למען יכבד־בה בן־האלהים׃

Joh 11:45 ורבים מן־היהודים אשר באו אל־מרים בראותם את־אשר עשה ישוע האמינו בו׃
Joh 11:46 ויש אשר הלכו אל־הפרושים ויגידו להם את־אשר עשה ישוע׃
Joh 11:47 אז יקהילו ראשי הכהנים והפרושים את־סנהדרין ויאמרו מה־נעשה כי האיש הלזה עשה אתות הרבה׃
Joh 11:48 אם־לא נכלאהו כלם יאמינו בו ובאו הרומיים ולקחו גם את־אדמתנו וגם את־עמנו׃
Joh 11:49 ויאמר אליהם אחד מהם והוא קיפא הכהן הגדול בשנה ההיא אתם לא־תדעו דבר׃
Joh 11:50 אף לא־תתבוננו כי טוב לנו מות איש אחד בעד הגוי מאבד העם כלו׃
Joh 11:51 ולא מלבו דבר הדבר הזה כי היה הכהן הגדול בשנה ההיא וינבא אשר ימות ישוע בעד העם׃
Joh 11:52 ולא־בעד העם לבדו כי גם־לקבץ את־בני האלהים המפזרים והיו לאחדים׃
Joh 11:53 ויועצו יחדו להמיתו מהיום ההוא והלאה׃
Joh 11:54 על־כן לא־התהלך ישוע עוד בתוך היהודים לעיני העם כי אם־סר משם אל־הארץ הקרובה למדבר אל־עיר עפרים ויגר־שם עם־תלמידיו׃
Joh 11:55 ויקרבו ימי הפסח ליהודים ועם־רב עלו מן־הארץ ירושלימה לפני הפסח להתקדש׃
Joh 11:56 ויבקשו את־ישוע ויהי הם עמדים בבית המקדש וידברו איש אל־רעהו מה־תאמרו הכי יבוא אל־החג׃
Joh 11:57 וראשי הכהנים והפרושים גזרו גזרה אשר אם־ידע איש את־מקומו יודיענו למען יתפשהו׃
Joh 12:1 וששת ימים לפני חג־הפסח בא ישוע לבית היני מקום לעזר אשר העיר מעם המתים׃
Joh 12:2 ויעשו־לו שם משתה בערב ומרתא משרתת ולעזר אחד מן־המסבים אתו׃
Joh 12:3 ותקח מרים מרקחת נרד זך ויקר מאד לטרא אחת משקלה ותסך את־רגלי ישוע ותגנב את־רגליו בשערותיה והבית ימלא ריח המרקחת׃
Joh 12:4 ויאמר אחד מתלמידיו הוא יהודה בן־שמעון איש קריות אשר ימסר אתו׃
Joh 12:5 מדוע לא־נמכרה המרקחת בשלש מאות דינר ונתן לעניים׃
Joh 12:6 והוא לא־דבר זאת מחמלתו על־העניים כי גנב היה וכיס הכסף בידו ונשא מאשר ישימו בו׃
Joh 12:7 ויאמר ישוע הניחה־לה ליום קבורתי צפנה זאת׃
Joh 12:8 כי העניים תמיד עמכם ואני אינני תמיד עמכם׃
Joh 12:9 וישמעו עם־רב ביהודה כי־הוא שם ויבאו לא־בעבור ישוע לבדו כי גם־לראות את־לעזר אשר העירו מעם המתים׃
Joh 12:10 וראשי הכהנים התיעצו להרג את־לעזר׃
Joh 12:11 כי בגללו באו שמה רבים מן־היהודים ויאמינו בישוע׃
Joh 12:12 ויהי ממחרת כשמוע המון רב אשר באו לחג החג כי־יבא ישוע ירושלים׃
Joh 12:13 ויקחו בידם כפות תמרים ויצאו לקראתו ויריעו לאמר הושע־נא ברוך הבא בשם יהוה מלך ישראל׃
Joh 12:14 וימצא ישוע עיר אחד וירכב עליו ככתוב׃
Joh 12:15 אל־תראי בת־ציון הנה מלכך יבוא לך רכב על־עיר בן־אתנות׃
Joh 12:16 ותלמידיו לא־הבינו בראשונה כל־זאת אך אחרי אשר נתפאר ישוע זכרו כי־כן כתוב עליו וכן גם־עשו לו׃
Joh 12:17 ויעידו הרבים אשר היו אצלו בקראו אל־לעזר לצאת מן־הקבר ויער אתו מעם המתים׃
Joh 12:18 על־כן המון העם יצא לקראתו כי שמעו אשר עשה את־האות הזה׃
Joh 12:19 והפרושים דברו איש את־אחיו לאמר הראיתם כי הועיל לא תועילו הנה כל־העולם נמשך אחריו׃
Joh 12:20 ובתוך העלים להשתחות בחג אנשים יונים׃
Joh 12:21 ויקרבו אל־פילפוס איש בית־צידה אשר בארץ הגליל וישאלו ממנו לאמר אדני חפצנו לראות את־ישוע׃
Joh 12:22 ויבא פילפוס ויגד אל־אנדרי ואנדרי ופילפוס הגידו אל־ישוע׃
Joh 12:23 ויען אותם ישוע ויאמר באה השעה שיפאר בן־האדם׃
Joh 12:24 אמן אמן אני אמר לכם אם לא־תפל החטה אל־תוך האדמה ומתה תשאר לבדה וכאשר מתה תעשה פרי הרבה׃
Joh 12:25 האהב את־נפשו יאבדנה והשנא את־נפשו בעולם הזה ינצרה לחיי נצח׃
Joh 12:26 ואיש כי חפץ לשרתני ילך אחרי ובאשר אהיה שם יהיה גם־משרתי ואשר ישרתני יכבדנו אבי׃
Joh 12:27 עתה נבהלה נפשי ומה אמר הצילני אבי מן־השעה הזאת אך על־כן הגעתי לשעה הזאת׃
Joh 12:28 אבי פאר את־שמך ויצא קול מן־השמים אמר פארתי ואפאר עוד׃
Joh 12:29 והעם העמדים שמה שמעו ויאמרו רעם נשמע ואחרים אמרו מלאך דבר אתו׃
Joh 12:30 ויען ישוע ויאמר לא היה הקול הזה למעני כי אם־למענכם׃
Joh 12:31 עתה העולם הזה נדון עתה ישלך שר העולם הזה חוצה׃
Joh 12:32 ואני בהנשאי מעל־הארץ אמשך כלם אלי׃
Joh 12:33 וזאת דבר לרמוז אי־זה המות אשר ימות׃
Joh 12:34 ויענו אתו העם ויאמרו אנחנו שמענו מן התורה כי המשיח יכון לעולם ואיך אמרת בן־האדם צריך להנשא ומי בן־האדם ההוא׃
Joh 12:35 ויאמר אליהם ישוע אך־למצער יהיה האור עמכם התהלכו בעוד לכם האור פן־ישופכם חשך וההלך בחשך לא ידע אנה הוא הלך׃
Joh 12:36 בעוד לכם האור האמינו באור למען תהיו בני האור את־הדברים האלה דבר ישוע וילך ויסתר מפניהם׃
Joh 12:37 רבים האתות אשר עשה לעיניהם ובכל־זאת לא האמינו בו׃
Joh 12:38 למלאת דבר ישעיהו הנביא אשר אמר יהוה מי האמין לשמעתנו וזרוע יהוה על־מי נגלתה׃
Joh 12:39 על־כן לא יכלו להאמין כי עוד אמר ישעיהו׃
Joh 12:40 השע עיניהם והשמין לבבם פן־יראו בעיניהם ולבבם יבין ושבו ורפאתי להם׃
Joh 12:41 כזאת דבר ישעיהו בראותו את־תפארתו וינבא עליו׃
Joh 12:42 אולם גם מן־השרים האמינו־בו רבים אך בגלל הפרושים לא הודו למען אשר־לא ינדו׃
Joh 12:43 כי כבוד אנשים חביב עליהם מכבוד האלהים׃
Joh 12:44 ויקרא ישוע ויאמר המאמין בי לא־בי הוא מאמין כי אם־בשלח אתי׃
Joh 12:45 והראה אתי הוא ראה את־שלחי׃
Joh 12:46 אני באתי אל־העולם להיות אור למען כל־המאמין בי לא ישב בחשך׃
Joh 12:47 והשמע את־דברי ולא ישמרם אני לא אשפט אתו כי לא־באתי לשפט את־העולם כי אם־להושיע את־העולם׃
Joh 12:48 ואיש אשר יבזני ולא יקח אמרי יש אחד אשר־ידין אתו הדבר אשר דברתי הוא ידין אתו ביום האחרון׃
Joh 12:49 כי אני לא מלבי דברתי כי אם־אבי השלח אתי הוא צוני את־אשר אמר ואת־אשר אמר ואת־אשר אדבר׃
Joh 12:50 ואני ידעתי כי מצותו חיי עולם לכן כל־אשר אדבר כאשר אמר אלי אבי כן אני מדבר׃
Joh 11:1 ויהי איש חולה והוא לעזר מבית־היני כפר מרים ומרתא אחותה׃
Joh 11:2 היא מרים אשר את־האדון במרקחת ותנגב את־רגליו בשערותיה ולעזר אחיה הוא חלה׃
Joh 11:3 ותשלחנה אחיותיו אליו לאמר אדני הנה אשר אהבת חלה הוא׃
Joh 11:4 וישמע ישוע ויאמר המחלה הזאת לא למות היא כי אם־לכבוד האלהים למען יכבד־בה בן־האלהים׃
Joh 11:5 וישוע אהב את מרתא ואת־אחותה ואת־לעזר׃
Joh 11:6 וכשמעו כי חלה ויתמהמה וישב יומים במקום אשר־הוא שם׃
Joh 11:7 ומאחרי־כן אמר לתלמידיו לכו ונשובה אל־ארץ יהודה׃
Joh 11:8 ויאמרו אליו תלמידיו רבי עתה זה בקשו היהודים לסקלך ואתה תשוב שמה׃
Joh 11:9 ויען ישוע הלא שתים־עשרה שעות ליום איש כי־ילך ביום לא יכשל כי יראה אור העולם הזה׃
Joh 11:10 וההלך בלילה יכשל כי האור איננו בו׃
Joh 11:11 ואחרי דברו כזאת אמר אליהם לעזר ידידנו ישן הוא ואנכי הלך למען אעירנו׃
Joh 11:12 ויאמרו תלמידיו אדני אם־ישן הוא ירפא לו׃
Joh 11:13 וישוע דבר על־מותו והמה חשבו כי על־מנוחת השנה דבר׃
Joh 11:14 אז אמר ישוע אליהם מפורש לעזר מת׃
Joh 11:15 ושמח אני בגללכם כי לא־הייתי שם למען תאמינו ועתה נסעה ונלכה אליו׃
Joh 11:16 ויאמר תומא הנקרא דידומוס אל־התלמידים חבריו נלכה גם־אנחנו למען נמות עמו׃
Joh 11:17 ויבא ישוע וימצאהו זה ארבעה ימים שכב בקבר׃
Joh 11:18 ובית־היני קרוב לירושלים כדרך חמש עשרה ריס׃
Joh 11:19 ורבים מן־היהודים באו בית־מרתא ומרים לנחם אתהן על־אחיהן׃
Joh 11:20 ויהי כשמע מרתא כי בא ישוע ותצא לקראתו ומרים יושבת בבית׃
Joh 11:21 ותאמר מרתא אל־ישוע אדני לו היית פה כי־אז לא־מת אחי׃
Joh 11:22 וגם־עתה ידעתי כי כל־אשר תשאל מאת אלהים יתן לך אלהים׃
Joh 11:23 ןיאמר אליה ישוע אחיך קום יקום׃
Joh 11:24 ותאמר אליו מרתא ידעתי כי יקום בתקומה ביום האחרון׃
Joh 11:25 ויאמר אליה ישוע אנכי התקומה והחיים המאמין בי יחיה גם כי־ימות׃
Joh 11:26 וכל־החי אשר יאמין־בי לא־ימות לעולם התאמיני לדבר הזה׃
Joh 11:27 ותאמר אליו כן אדני האמנתי כי־אתה המשיח בן־האלהים הבא לעולם׃
Joh 11:28 זאת דברה והלכה וקראה למרים אחותה בסתר לאמר הנה המורה פה והוא קרא לך׃
Joh 11:29 היא שמעה ותקם ותבא אליו׃
Joh 11:30 וישוע טרם יבא אל־הכפר כי־עודנו עמד במקום אשר פגשתו־שם מרתא׃
Joh 11:31 והיהודים אשר־באו אל־ביתה לנחמה כראותם את־מרים כי־קמה פתאם ותצא הלכו אחריה כי אמרו הלכה אל־הקבר לבכות שמה׃
Joh 11:32 ותבא מרים אל־המקום אשר ישוע עמד שם ותרא אתו ותפל לרגליו ותאמר לו אדני לו היית פה כי־אז לא־מת אחי׃
Joh 11:33 ויהי כראות ישוע אתה בכיה וגם־היהודים אשר־באו אתה בכים ותזעם רוחו ויהי מרעיד׃
Joh 11:34 ויאמר איפה הנחתם אתו ויאמרו אליו אדני בא וראה׃
Joh 11:35 ויבך ישוע׃
Joh 11:36 ויאמרו היהודים הנה מה רבה האהבה אשר אהבו׃
Joh 11:37 ויש אשר אמרו הפקח עיני העור הלא גם־יכל לחשך אתו ממות׃
Joh 11:38 ויוסף עוד ישוע להזעם ברוחו ויבא אל־הקבר והוא מערה ואבן על־מבואה׃
Joh 11:39 ויאמר ישוע שאו את־האבן מעליה ותאמר אליו מרתא אחות המת אדני הנה כבר באש כי־ארבעה ימים לו׃
Joh 11:40 ויאמר אליה ישוע הלא אמרתי לך כי אם־תאמיני תחזי את־כבוד האלהים׃
Joh 11:41 וישאו את־האבן אשר המת הושם שם וישוע נשא את־עיניו למרום ויאמר אודך אבי כי עניתני׃
Joh 11:42 ואני ידעתי כי תענני תמיד ואולם בעבור העם הזה אשר סביבותי דברתי למען יאמינו בי כי אתה שלחתני׃
Joh 11:43 ויהי ככלותו לדבר ויקרא בקול גדול לעזר קום צא׃
Joh 11:44 ויצא המת וידיו ורגליו כרוכת בתכריכין ופניו לוטים בסודר ויאמר אליהם ישוע התירו אתו וילך לדרכו׃
Joh 11:45 ורבים מן־היהודים אשר באו אל־מרים בראותם את־אשר עשה ישוע האמינו בו׃

Yochanan 11-12
Joh 11:1 There was a man who had fallen sick. His name was El`azar, and he came from Beit-Anyah, the village where Miryam and her sister Marta lived.
Joh 11:2 (This Miryam, whose brother El`azar had become sick, is the one who poured perfume on the Master and wiped his feet with her hair.)
Joh 11:3 So the sisters sent a message to Yahshua, "Adon, the man you love is sick."
Joh 11:4 On hearing it, he said, "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for Elohim's esteem, so that the Son of Elohim may receive esteem through it."
Joh 11:5 Yahshua loved Marta and her sister and El`azar;
Joh 11:6 so when he heard he was sick, first he stayed where he was two more days;
Joh 11:7 then, after this, he said to the talmidim, "Let's go back to Y'hudah."
Joh 11:8 The talmidim replied, "Rabbi! Just a short while ago the Judeans were out to stone you — and you want to go back there?"
Joh 11:9 Yahshua answered, "Aren't there twelve hours of daylight? If a person walks during daylight, he doesn't stumble; because he sees the light of this world.
Joh 11:10 But if a person walks at night, he does stumble; because he has no light with him."
Joh 11:11 Yahshua said these things, and afterwards he said to the talmidim, "Our friend El`azar has gone to sleep; but I am going in order to wake him up."
Joh 11:12 The talmidim said to him, "Adon, if he has gone to sleep, he will get better."
Joh 11:13 Now Yahshua had used the phrase to speak about El`azar's death, but they thought he had been talking literally about sleep.
Joh 11:14 So Yahshua told them in plain language, "El`azar has died.
Joh 11:15 And for your sakes, I am glad that I wasn't there, so that you may come to trust. But let's go to him."
Joh 11:16 Then T'oma (the name means "twin") said to his fellow talmidim, "Yes, we should go, so that we can die with him!"
Joh 11:17 On arrival, Yahshua found that El`azar had already been in the tomb for four days.
Joh 11:18 Now Beit-Anyah was about two miles from Yerushalayim,
Joh 11:19 and many of the Judeans had come to Marta and Miryam in order to comfort them at the loss of their brother.
Joh 11:20 So when Marta heard that Yahshua was coming, she went out to meet him; but Miryam continued sitting shiv'ah in the house.
Joh 11:21 Marta said to Yahshua, "Adon, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.
Joh 11:22 Even now I know that whatever you ask of Elohim, Elohim will give you."
Joh 11:23 Yahshua said to her, "Your brother will rise again."
Joh 11:24 Marta said, "I know that he will rise again at the Resurrection on the Last Day."
Joh 11:25 Yahshua said to her, "I AM the Resurrection and the Life! Whoever puts his trust in me will live, even if he dies;
Joh 11:26 and everyone living and trusting in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

Joh 11:28 After saying this, she went off and secretly called Miryam, her sister: "The Rabbi is here and is calling for you."

Joh 11:30 Yahshua had not yet come into the village but was still where Marta had met him;
Joh 11:31 so when the Judeans who had been with Miryam in the house comforting her saw her get up quickly and go out, they followed her, thinking she was going to the tomb to mourn there.
Joh 11:32 When Miryam came to where Yahshua was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said to him, "Adon, if you had been here, my brother would not have died."
Joh 11:33 When Yahshua saw her crying, and also the Judeans who came with her crying, he was deeply moved and also troubled.
Joh 11:34 He said, "Where have you buried him?" They said, "Adon, come and see."

Joh 11:36 so the Judeans there said, "See how he loved him!"
Joh 11:37 But some of them said, "He opened the blind man's eyes. Couldn't he have kept this one from dying?"
Joh 11:38 Yahshua, again deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone was lying in front of the entrance.
Joh 11:39 Yahshua said, "Take the stone away!" Marta, the sister of the dead man, said to Yahshua, "By now his body must smell, for it has been four days since he died!"
Joh 11:40 Yahshua said to her, "Didn't I tell you that if you keep trusting, you will see the esteem of Elohim?"
Joh 11:41 So they removed the stone. Yahshua looked upward and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me.
Joh 11:42 I myself know that you always hear me, but I say this because of the crowd standing around, so that they may believe that you have sent me."
Joh 11:43 Having said this, he shouted, "El`azar! Come out!"
Joh 11:44 The man who had been dead came out, his hands and feet wrapped in strips of linen and his face covered with a cloth. Yahshua said to them, "Unwrap him, and let him go!"
Joh 11:45 At this, many of the Judeans who had come to visit Miryam, and had seen what Yahshua had done, trusted in him.
Joh 11:46 But some of them went off to the P'rushim and told them what he had done.
Joh 11:47 So the head kohanim and the P'rushim called a meeting of the Sanhedrin and said, "What are we going to do? — for this man is performing many miracles.
Joh 11:48 If we let him keep going on this way, everyone will trust in him, and the Romans will come and destroy both the Temple and the nation."
Joh 11:49 But one of them, Kayafa, who was kohen gadol that year, said to them, "You people don't know anything!
Joh 11:50 You don't see that it's better for you if one man dies on behalf of the people, so that the whole nation won't be destroyed."
Joh 11:51 Now he didn't speak this way on his own initiative; rather, since he was kohen gadol that year, he was prophesying that Yahshua was about to die on behalf of the nation,
Joh 11:52 and not for the nation alone, but so that he might gather into one the scattered children of Elohim.
Joh 11:53 From that day on, they made plans to have him put to death.
Joh 11:54 Therefore Yahshua no longer walked around openly among the Judeans but went away from there into the region near the desert, to a town called Efrayim, and stayed there with his talmidim.
Joh 11:55 The Judean festival of Pesach was near, and many people went up from the country to Yerushalayim to perform the purification ceremony prior to Pesach.
Joh 11:56 They were looking for Yahshua, and as they stood in the Temple courts they said to each other, "What do you think? that he simply won't come to the festival?"
Joh 11:57 Moreover, the head kohanim and the P'rushim had given orders that anyone knowing Yahshua's whereabouts should inform them, so that they could have him arrested.
Joh 12:1 Six days before Pesach, Yahshua came to Beit-Anyah, where El`azar lived, the man Yahshua had raised from the dead;
Joh 12:2 so they gave a dinner there in his honor. Marta served the meal, and El`azar was among those at the table with him.
Joh 12:3 Miryam took a whole pint of pure oil of spikenard, which is very expensive, poured it on Yahshua's feet and wiped his feet with her hair, so that the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
Joh 12:4 But one of the talmidim, Y'hudah from K'riot, the one who was about to betray him, said,
Joh 12:5 "This perfume is worth a year's wages! Why wasn't it sold and the money given to the poor?"
Joh 12:6 Now he said this not out of concern for the poor, but because he was a thief — he was in charge of the common purse and used to steal from it.
Joh 12:7 Yahshua said, "Leave her alone! She kept this for the day of my burial.
Joh 12:8 You always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me."
Joh 12:9 A large crowd of Judeans learned that he was there; and they came not only because of Yahshua, but also so that they could see El`azar, whom he had raised from the dead.
Joh 12:10 The head kohanim then decided to do away with El`azar too,
Joh 12:11 since it was because of him that large numbers of the Judeans were leaving their leaders and putting their trust in Yahshua.
Joh 12:12 The next day, the large crowd that had come for the festival heard that Yahshua was on his way into Yerushalayim.
Joh 12:13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, "Deliver us!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of YHVH, the King of Yisra'el!"
Joh 12:14 After finding a donkey colt, Yahshua mounted it, just as the Tanakh says —
Joh 12:15 "Daughter of Tziyon, don't be afraid! Look! your Melech is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt."
Joh 12:16 His talmidim did not understand this at first; but after Yahshua had been esteemed, then they remembered that the Tanakh said this about him, and that they had done this for him.
Joh 12:17 The group that had been with him when he called El`azar out of the tomb and raised him from the dead had been telling about it.
Joh 12:18 It was because of this too that the crowd came out to meet him — they had heard that he had performed this nes.

Joh 12:21 They approached Philip, the one from Beit-Tzaidah in the Galil, with a request. "Sir," they said, "we would like to see Yahshua."

Joh 12:23 Yahshua gave them this answer: "The time has come for the Son of Man to be esteemed.
Joh 12:24 Yes, indeed! I tell you that unless a grain of wheat that falls to the ground dies, it stays just a grain; but if it dies, it produces a big harvest.
Joh 12:25 He who loves his life loses it, but he who hates his life in this world will keep it safe right on into eternal life!
Joh 12:26 If someone is serving me, let him follow me; wherever I am, my servant will be there too. My Father will honor anyone who serves me.
Joh 12:27 "Now I am in turmoil. What can I say — 'Father, save me from this hour'? No, it was for this very reason that I have come to this hour. I will say this:

Joh 12:32 As for me, when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself."

Joh 12:34 The crowd answered, "We have learned from the Torah that HaMashiach remains forever. How is it that you say the Son of Man has to be 'lifted up'? Who is this 'Son of Man'?"
Joh 12:35 Yahshua said to them, "The light will be with you only a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, or the dark will overtake you; he who walks in the dark doesn't know where he's going.
Joh 12:36 While you have the light, put your trust in the light, so that you may become people of light." Yahshua said these things, then went off and kept himself hidden from them.
Joh 12:37 Even though he had performed so many nesot in their presence, they still did not put their trust in him,
Joh 12:38 in order that what Yesha`yahu the prophet had said might be fulfilled, "YHVH, who has believed our report? To whom has the arm of YHVH been revealed?"
Joh 12:39 The reason they could not believe was — as Yesha`yahu said elsewhere —
Joh 12:40 "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they do not see with their eyes, understand with their hearts, and do t'shuvah, so that I could heal them."

Joh 12:42 Nevertheless, many of the leaders did trust in him; but because of the P'rushim they did not say so openly, out of fear of being banned from the synagogue;
Joh 12:43 for they loved praise from other people more than praise from Elohim.
Joh 12:44 Yahshua declared publicly, "Those who put their trust in me are trusting not merely in me, but in the One who sent me.
Joh 12:45 Also those who see me see the One who sent me.
Joh 12:46 I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who trusts in me might not remain in the dark.
Joh 12:47 If anyone hears what I am saying and does not observe it, I don't judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
Joh 12:48 Those who reject me and don't accept what I say have a judge — the word which I have spoken will judge them on the Last Day.
Joh 12:49 For I have not spoken on my own initiative, but the Father who sent me has given me a command, namely, what to say and how to say it.

Joh 11:1 There was a man who had fallen sick. His name was El`azar, and he came from Beit-Anyah, the village where Miryam and her sister Marta lived.
Joh 11:2 (This Miryam, whose brother El`azar had become sick, is the one who poured perfume on the Master and wiped his feet with her hair.)
Joh 11:3 So the sisters sent a message to Yahshua, "Adon, the man you love is sick."
Joh 11:4 On hearing it, he said, "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for Elohim's esteem, so that the Son of Elohim may receive esteem through it."
Joh 11:5 Yahshua loved Marta and her sister and El`azar;
Joh 11:6 so when he heard he was sick, first he stayed where he was two more days;
Joh 11:7 then, after this, he said to the talmidim, "Let's go back to Y'hudah."
Joh 11:8 The talmidim replied, "Rabbi! Just a short while ago the Judeans were out to stone you — and you want to go back there?"
Joh 11:9 Yahshua answered, "Aren't there twelve hours of daylight? If a person walks during daylight, he doesn't stumble; because he sees the light of this world.
Joh 11:10 But if a person walks at night, he does stumble; because he has no light with him."
Joh 11:11 Yahshua said these things, and afterwards he said to the talmidim, "Our friend El`azar has gone to sleep; but I am going in order to wake him up."
Joh 11:12 The talmidim said to him, "Adon, if he has gone to sleep, he will get better."
Joh 11:13 Now Yahshua had used the phrase to speak about El`azar's death, but they thought he had been talking literally about sleep.
Joh 11:14 So Yahshua told them in plain language, "El`azar has died.

Joh 9:17 ויוסיפו ויאמרו אל־העור ואתה מה־תאמר לו כי פקח עיניך ויאמר נביא הוא׃
Joh 9:18 ולא־האמינו היהודים כי עור היה וארו עיניו עד־אשר קראו אל־יולדי הנרפא׃
Joh 9:19 וישאלו אתם לאמר הזה בנכם אשר אמרתם נולד עור ואיכה הוא ראה עתה׃
Joh 9:20 ויענו אתם יולדיו ויאמרו ידענו כי זה הוא בננו וכי נולד עור׃
Joh 9:21 אבל לא ידענו איך הוא ראה עתה ולא ידענו מי פקח את־עיניו הלא בן־דעת הוא שאלו את־פיהו והוא יגיד מה־היה לו׃
Joh 9:22 כזאת דברו יולדיו מיראתם את־היהודים כי היהודים כבר נועצו לנדות את־כל־אשר יודה כי הוא המשיח׃
Joh 9:23 על־כן אמרו יולדיו בן־דעת הוא שאלו את־פיהו׃
Joh 9:24 ויקראו שנית לאיש אשר היה עור ויאמרו אליו תן כבוד לאלהים אנחנו ידענו כי־האיש הזה חטא הוא׃
Joh 9:25 ויען ויאמר אם־חטא האיש לא ידעתי אחת ידעתי כי עור הייתי ועתה הנני ראה׃
Joh 9:26 ויאמרו אליו עוד מה־עשה לך איך פקח עיניך׃
Joh 9:27 ויען אתם כבר אמרתי לכם הלא שמעתם ומה־לכם לשמע שנית התחפצו גם־אתם להיות תלמידיו׃
Joh 9:28 ויחרפו אתו ויאמרו אתה תלמידו ואנחנו תלמידיו של־משה׃
Joh 9:29 אנחנו יודעים כי אל־משה דבר האלהים ואת־זה לא ידענו מאין הוא׃
Joh 9:30 ויען האיש ויאמר אליהם דבר נפלא הוא אשר אתם לא ידעתם מאין הוא והוא פקח את־עיני׃
Joh 9:31 והנה ידענו כי את־החטאים לא־ישמע אל כי אם־את־ירא אלהים ועשה רצונו אתו ישמע׃
Joh 9:32 מעולם לא נשמע אשר־פקח איש עיני עור מרחם׃
Joh 9:33 לולא היה זה מאת אלהים לא היה יכל לעשות מאומה׃
Joh 9:34 ויענו ויאמרו אליו הן בחטאים נולדת כלך ואתה תלמדנו ויהדפהו החוצה׃
Joh 9:35 וישמע ישוע כי הדפהו החוצה ויפגשהו ויאמר אליו התאמין בבן־האדם׃
Joh 9:36 ויען ויאמר מי הוא־זה אדני ואאמין בו׃
Joh 9:37 ויאמר אליו ישוע הן־ראית אתו והמדבר אליך הנה זה הוא׃
Joh 9:38 ויאמר אני מאמין אדני וישתחו לו׃
Joh 9:39 ויאמר ישוע אני באתי לעולם הזה לדין למען יראו העורים והראים יהיו לעורים׃
Joh 9:40 ואשר היו עמו מן־הפרושים שמעו דבריו ויאמרו אליו הגם אנחנו עורים׃
Joh 9:41 ויאמר אליהם לו הייתם עורים לא־היה בכם חטא ועתה אמרתם פקחים אנחנו ותעמד חטאתכם׃
Joh 10:1 אמן אמן אני אמר לכם איש אשר לא־יבוא דרך השער אל־מכלא הצאן כי אם־יעלה בדרך אחר גנב הוא ופריץ׃
Joh 10:2 ואשר יבוא דרך השער הוא רעה הצאן׃
Joh 10:3 לו יפתח שמר הפתח והצאן את־קלו תשמענה והוא לצאנו בשם יקרא ויוציאם׃
Joh 10:4 ואחרי הוציאו את־צאנו יעבר לפניהן והצאן הלכות אחריו כי ידעו את־קולו׃
Joh 10:5 ואחרי זר לא תלכנה כי אם תברחנה מפניו את־קול הזרים לא ידעו׃
Joh 10:6 המשל הזה דבר ישוע באזניהם והמה לא ידעו מה הדבר אשר דבר אליהם׃
Joh 10:7 ויוסף ישוע וידבר אליהם אמן אמן אני אמר לכם אני הוא פתח הצאן׃
Joh 10:8 כל אשר באו לפני גנבים המה ופריצים והצאן לא־שמעו לקולם׃
Joh 10:9 אנכי הפתח איש כי־יבוא בי יושע ובצאתו ובבואו ימצא מרעה׃
Joh 10:10 הגנב לא יבוא כי אם־לגנוב ולהרוג ולאבד ואני באתי להביא להם חיים ומלא ספקם׃
Joh 10:11 אנכי הוא הרעה הטוב הרעה הטוב יתן את־נפשו בעד צאנו׃
Joh 10:12 והשכיר אשר לא רעה הוא והצאן לא־צאנו הוא יראה כי־בא הזאב ועזב את־הצאן ונס והזאב יחטף והפיץ את־הצאן׃
Joh 10:13 השכיר ינוס כי שכיר הוא ולא ידאג לצאן׃
Joh 10:14 אני הרעה הטוב וידעתי את אשר־לי ונודעתי לאשר לי׃
Joh 10:15 כאשר האב ידע אתי ואני ידעתי את־האב ואת־נפשי אתן בעד הצאן׃
Joh 10:16 וצאן אחרות יש־לי אשר אינן מן־המכלה הזאת ועלי לנהל גם־אתן ותשמענה קולי והיה עדר אחד ורעה אחד׃
Joh 10:17 על־כן אהב אתי אבי כי את־נפשי אתן למען אשוב ואקחה׃
Joh 10:18 ואיש לא יקחנה מאתי כי אם־אני מעצמי אתננה יש־בידי לתת אתה ובידי לשוב לקחתה המצוה הזאת קבלתי מעם אבי׃
Joh 10:19 ותהי מחלקת גם־בפעם הזאת בין היהודים על־הדברים האלה׃
Joh 10:20 ויאמרו רבים מהם שד בו ומשגע הוא למה תשמעו אליו׃
Joh 10:21 ואחרים אמרו דבריו אינם כדברי איש אשר שד בו היוכל שד לפקח עיני עורים׃
Joh 10:22 ויהי חנכה בירושלים והעת סתיו׃
Joh 10:23 וישוע מתהלך במקדש באולם של־שלמה׃
Joh 10:24 ויסבו אתו היהודים ויאמרו אליו עד־אנה תתלה את־נפשנו אם־המשיח אתה אמר־נא ונשמעה באזנינו׃
Joh 10:25 ויען אתם ישוע הן הגדתי אליכם ולא האמנתם בי המעשים אשר־אני עשה בשם אבי הם יעידו עלי׃
Joh 10:26 ואתם לא תאמינו כי לא מצאני אתם כאשר אמרתי לכם׃
Joh 10:27 צאני תשמענה את־קולי ואני ידעתין ואחרי תלכנה׃
Joh 10:28 ואני אתן להן חיי עולם ולא תאבדנה לנצח ואיש לא־יחטף אתהן מידי׃
Joh 10:29 האב אשר נתנן לי גדול הוא על־כל ואיש לא־יחטף אתהן מיד האב׃
Joh 10:30 אני ואבי אחד אנחנו׃
Joh 10:31 אז ירימו היהודים אבנים כפעם־בפעם לסקלו׃
Joh 10:32 ויען אתם ישוע מעשים טובים רבים הראיתי אתכם מאת אבי מה המעשה אשר עליו תסקלני׃
Joh 10:33 ויענו היהודים אתו לאמר על־מעשה טוב לא נסקל אתך כי אם־על־גדפך את־אלהים ועל־אשר אדם אתה ותעש עצמך אלהים׃
Joh 10:34 ויען אתם ישוע הלא כתוב בתורתכם אני אמרתי אלהים אתם׃
Joh 10:35 הן יקרא אלהים למי שהיה דבר האלהים אליהם והכתוב לא־יופר׃
Joh 10:36 ואיך תאמרו לאשר קדשו האב וישלחהו לעולם מגדף אתה יען אמרתי בן־אלהים אני׃
Joh 10:37 אם־לא אעשה את־מעשי אבי אל־תאמינו לי׃
Joh 10:38 ואם־עשה אני גם אם לא־תאמינו לי האמינו למעשי למען תדעו ותאמינו כי־בי האב ואני בו׃
Joh 10:39 אז ישובו ויבקשו לתפשו וימלט מידם׃
Joh 10:40 וילך וישב אל־עבר הירדן אל־המקום אשר הטביל־שם יוחנן בתחלה וישב שם׃
Joh 10:41 ויבאו אליו רבים ויאמרו הנה יוחנן לא־עשה אות אבל כל־אשר דבר יוחנן על־האיש הזה אמת הוא׃
Joh 10:42 ויאמינו בו רבים במקום ההוא׃
Joh 9:1 ויהי בעברו וירא איש והוא עור מיום הולדו׃
Joh 9:2 וישאלו אתו תלמידיו לאמר רבי מי החטא הוא או ילדיו כי נולד עור׃
Joh 9:3 ויען ישוע לא הוא חטא ולא יולדיו אך למען יגלו־בו מעללי־אל׃
Joh 9:4 עלי לעשות מעשי שלחי בעוד יום יבוא הלילה אשר־בו לא־יכל איש לעשות׃
Joh 9:5 בעודני בעולם אור העולם אני׃
Joh 9:6 ויהי כדברו זאת וירק על־הארץ ויעש טיט מן־הרוק וימרח את־הטיט על־עיני העור׃
Joh 9:7 ויאמר אליו לך ורחץ בברכת השלח הוא שלוח וילך וירחץ ויבא ועיניו ראות׃
Joh 9:8 ויאמרו שכניו ואשר ראו אתו לפנים כי־עור הוא הלא הוא הישב ושאל צדקה׃
Joh 9:9 אלה אמרו כי־זה הוא ואלה אמרו אך־דומה לו והוא אמר אני הוא׃
Joh 9:10 ויאמרו אליו ואיך נפקחו עיניך׃
Joh 9:11 ויען ויאמר איש אשר־נקרא שמו ישוע עשה טיט וימרח על־עיני ויאמר אלי לך ורחץ בברכת השלח ואלך וארחץ ותפקחנה עיני׃
Joh 9:12 ויאמרו אליו ואיו ויאמר לא ידעתי׃
Joh 9:13 ויביאו את־האיש אשר היה עור לפנים אל־הפרושים׃
Joh 9:14 והיום אשר עשה־בו ישוע את־הטיט ויפקח את־עיניו היה יום השבת׃
Joh 9:15 ויוסיפו לשאל אתו גם־הפרושים איך נפקחו עיניו ויאמר אליהם טיט שם על־עיני וארחץ והנני ראה׃
Joh 9:16 ויאמרו מקצת הפרושים זה האיש לא מאת אלהים הוא כי לא־ישמר את־השבת ואחרים אמרו איכה יוכל איש חטא לעשות אתות כאלה ותהי־מחלקת ביניהם׃
Joh 9:17 ויוסיפו ויאמרו אל־העור ואתה מה־תאמר לו כי פקח עיניך ויאמר נביא הוא׃
Joh 9:18 ולא־האמינו היהודים כי עור היה וארו עיניו עד־אשר קראו אל־יולדי הנרפא׃

Yochanan 9-10
Joh 9:1 As Yahshua passed along, he saw a man blind from birth.
Joh 9:2 His talmidim asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned — this man or his parents — to cause him to be born blind?"
Joh 9:3 Yahshua answered, "His blindness is due neither to his sin nor to that of his parents; it happened so that Elohim's power might be seen at work in him.
Joh 9:4 As long as it is day, we must keep doing the work of the One who sent me; the night is coming, when no one can work.
Joh 9:5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
Joh 9:6 Having said this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, put the mud on the man's eyes,
Joh 9:7 and said to him, "Go, wash off in the Pool of Shiloach!" (The name means "sent.") So he went and washed and came away seeing.
Joh 9:8 His neighbors and those who previously had seen him begging said, "Isn't this the man who used to sit and beg?"
Joh 9:9 Some said, "Yes, he's the one"; while others said, "No, but he looks like him." However, he himself said, "I'm the one."
Joh 9:10 "How were your eyes opened?" they asked him.
Joh 9:11 He answered, "The man called Yahshua made mud, put it on my eyes, and told me, 'Go to Shiloach and wash!' So I went; and as soon as I had washed, I could see."
Joh 9:12 They said to him, "Where is he?" and he replied, "I don't know."
Joh 9:13 They took the man who had been blind to the P'rushim.
Joh 9:14 Now the day on which Yahshua had made the mud and opened his eyes was Shabbat.
Joh 9:15 So the P'rushim asked him again how he had become able to see; and he told them, "He put mud on my eyes, then I washed, and now I can see."
Joh 9:16 At this, some of the P'rushim said, "This man is not from Elohim, because he doesn't keep Shabbat." But others said, "How could a man who is a sinner do miracles like these?" And there was a split among them.
Joh 9:17 So once more they spoke to the blind man: "Since you're the one whose eyes he opened, what do you say about him?" He replied: "He is a prophet."
Joh 9:18 The Yehudim, however, were unwilling to believe that he had formerly been blind, but now could see, until they had summoned the man's parents.
Joh 9:19 They asked them, "Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How is it that now he can see?"
Joh 9:20 His parents answered, "We know that this is our son and that he was born blind;
Joh 9:21 but how it is that he can see now, we don't know; nor do we know who opened his eyes. Ask him — he's old enough, he can speak for himself!"
Joh 9:22 The parents said this because they were afraid of the Yehudim, for the Yehudim had already agreed that anyone who acknowledged Yahshua as the Mashiach would be banned from the synagogue.
Joh 9:23 This is why his parents said, "He's old enough, ask him."
Joh 9:24 So a second time they called the man who had been blind; and they said to him, "Swear to Elohim that you will tell the truth! We know that this man is a sinner."
Joh 9:25 He answered, "Whether he's a sinner or not I don't know. One thing I do know: I was blind, now I see."
Joh 9:26 So they said to him, "What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?"
Joh 9:27 "I already told you," he answered, "and you didn't listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Maybe you too want to become his talmidim?"
Joh 9:28 Then they railed at him. "You may be his talmid," they said, "but we are talmidim of Moshe!
Joh 9:29 We know that Elohim has spoken to Moshe, but as for this fellow — we don't know where he's from!"
Joh 9:30 "What a strange thing," the man answered, "that you don't know where he's from — considering that he opened my eyes!
Joh 9:31 We know that Elohim doesn't listen to sinners; but if anyone fears Elohim and does his will, Elohim does listen to him.
Joh 9:32 In all history no one has ever heard of someone's opening the eyes of a man born blind.
Joh 9:33 If this man were not from Elohim, he couldn't do a thing!"
Joh 9:34 "Why, you mamzer!" they retorted, "Are you lecturing us?" And they threw him out.
Joh 9:35 Yahshua heard that they had thrown the man out. He found him and said, "Do you trust in the Son of Man?"
Joh 9:36 "Sir," he answered, "tell me who he is, so that I can trust in him."
Joh 9:37 Yahshua said to him, "You have seen him. In fact, he's the one speaking with you now."
Joh 9:38 "Adon, I trust!" he said, and he kneeled down in front of him.
Joh 9:39 Yahshua said, "It is to judge that I came into this world, so that those who do not see might see, and those who do see might become blind."
Joh 9:40 Some of the P'rushim nearby heard this and said to him, "So we're blind too, are we?"
Joh 9:41 Yahshua answered them, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin. But since you still say, 'We see,' your guilt remains.
Joh 10:1 "Yes, indeed! I tell you, the person who doesn't enter the sheep-pen through the door, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.
Joh 10:2 But the one who goes in through the gate is the sheep's own shepherd.
Joh 10:3 This is the one the gate-keeper admits, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep, each one by name, and leads them out.
Joh 10:4 After taking out all that are his own, he goes on ahead of them; and the sheep follow him because they recognize his voice.
Joh 10:5 They never follow a stranger but will run away from him, because strangers' voices are unfamiliar to them."
Joh 10:6 Yahshua used this indirect manner of speaking with them, but they didn't understand what he was talking to them about.
Joh 10:7 So Yahshua said to them again, "Yes, indeed! I tell you that I am the gate for the sheep.
Joh 10:8 All those who have come before me have been thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn't listen to them.
Joh 10:9 I am the gate; if someone enters through me, he will be safe and will go in and out and find pasture.
Joh 10:10 The thief comes only in order to steal, kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, life in its fullest measure.
Joh 10:11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Joh 10:12 The hired hand, since he isn't a shepherd and the sheep aren't his own, sees the wolf coming, abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf drags them off and scatters them.
Joh 10:13 The hired worker behaves like this because that's all he is, a hired worker; so it doesn't matter to him what happens to the sheep.
Joh 10:14 I am the good shepherd; I know my own, and my own know me —
Joh 10:15 just as the Father knows me, and I know the Father — and I lay down my life on behalf of the sheep.
Joh 10:16 Also I have other sheep which are not from this pen; I need to bring them, and they will hear my voice; and there will be one flock, one shepherd.
Joh 10:17 "This is why the Father loves me: because I lay down my life — in order to take it up again!
Joh 10:18 No one takes it away from me; on the contrary, I lay it down of my own free will. I have the power to lay it down, and I have the power to take it up again. This is what my Father commanded me to do."
Joh 10:19 Again there was a split among the Yehudim because of what he said.
Joh 10:20 Many of them said, "He has a demon!" and "He's meshugga! Why do you listen to him?"
Joh 10:21 Others said, "These are not the deeds of a man who is demonized — how can a demon open blind people's eyes?"
Joh 10:22 Then came Chanukkah in Yerushalayim. It was winter,
Joh 10:23 and Yahshua was walking around inside the Temple area, in Shlomo's Colonnade.
Joh 10:24 So the Yehudim surrounded him and said to him, "How much longer are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Mashiach, tell us publicly!"
Joh 10:25 Yahshua answered them, "I have already told you, and you don't trust me. The works I do in my Father's name testify on my behalf,
Joh 10:26 but the reason you don't trust is that you are not included among my sheep.
Joh 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice, I recognize them, they follow me,
Joh 10:28 and I give them eternal life. They will absolutely never be destroyed, and no one will snatch them from my hands.
Joh 10:29 My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no one can snatch them from the Father's hands.
Joh 10:30 I and the Father are one."
Joh 10:31 Once again the Yehudim picked up rocks in order to stone him.
Joh 10:32 Yahshua answered them, "You have seen me do many good deeds that reflect the Father's power; for which one of these deeds are you stoning me?"
Joh 10:33 The Yehudim replied, "We are not stoning you for any good deed, but for blasphemy — because you, who are only a man, are making yourself out to be Elohim."
Joh 10:34 Yahshua answered them, "Isn't it written in your Torah, 'I have said, "You people are Elohim' "?
Joh 10:35 If he called 'Elohim' the people to whom the word of Elohim was addressed (and the Tanakh cannot be broken),
Joh 10:36 then are you telling the one whom the Father set apart as kadosh and sent into the world, 'You are committing blasphemy,' just because I said, 'I am a son of Elohim'?
Joh 10:37 "If I am not doing deeds that reflect my Father's power, don't trust me.
Joh 10:38 But if I am, then, even if you don't trust me, trust the deeds; so that you may understand once and for all that the Father is united with me, and I am united with the Father."
Joh 10:39 One more time they tried to arrest him, but he slipped out of their hands.
Joh 10:40 He went off again beyond the Yarden, where Yochanan had been immersing at first, and stayed there.
Joh 10:41 Many people came to him and said, "Yochanan performed no miracles, but everything Yochanan said about this man was true."
Joh 10:42 And many people there put their trust in him.
Joh 9:1 As Yahshua passed along, he saw a man blind from birth.
Joh 9:2 His talmidim asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned — this man or his parents — to cause him to be born blind?"
Joh 9:3 Yahshua answered, "His blindness is due neither to his sin nor to that of his parents; it happened so that Elohim's power might be seen at work in him.
Joh 9:4 As long as it is day, we must keep doing the work of the One who sent me; the night is coming, when no one can work.
Joh 9:5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
Joh 9:6 Having said this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, put the mud on the man's eyes,
Joh 9:7 and said to him, "Go, wash off in the Pool of Shiloach!" (The name means "sent.") So he went and washed and came away seeing.
Joh 9:8 His neighbors and those who previously had seen him begging said, "Isn't this the man who used to sit and beg?"
Joh 9:9 Some said, "Yes, he's the one"; while others said, "No, but he looks like him." However, he himself said, "I'm the one."
Joh 9:10 "How were your eyes opened?" they asked him.
Joh 9:11 He answered, "The man called Yahshua made mud, put it on my eyes, and told me, 'Go to Shiloach and wash!' So I went; and as soon as I had washed, I could see."
Joh 9:12 They said to him, "Where is he?" and he replied, "I don't know."
Joh 9:13 They took the man who had been blind to the P'rushim.
Joh 9:14 Now the day on which Yahshua had made the mud and opened his eyes was Shabbat.
Joh 9:15 So the P'rushim asked him again how he had become able to see; and he told them, "He put mud on my eyes, then I washed, and now I can see."
Joh 9:16 At this, some of the P'rushim said, "This man is not from Elohim, because he doesn't keep Shabbat." But others said, "How could a man who is a sinner do miracles like these?" And there was a split among them.
Joh 9:17 So once more they spoke to the blind man: "Since you're the one whose eyes he opened, what do you say about him?" He replied: "He is a prophet."
Joh 9:18 The Yehudim, however, were unwilling to believe that he had formerly been blind, but now could see, until they had summoned the man's parents.
Joh 9:19 They asked them, "Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How is it that now he can see?"
Joh 9:20 His parents answered, "We know that this is our son and that he was born blind;
Joh 9:21 but how it is that he can see now, we don't know; nor do we know who opened his eyes. Ask him — he's old enough, he can speak for himself!"
Joh 9:22 The parents said this because they were afraid of the Yehudim, for the Yehudim had already agreed that anyone who acknowledged Yahshua as the Mashiach would be banned from the synagogue.
Joh 9:23 This is why his parents said, "He's old enough, ask him."
Joh 9:24 So a second time they called the man who had been blind; and they said to him, "Swear to Elohim that you will tell the truth! We know that this man is a sinner."
Joh 9:25 He answered, "Whether he's a sinner or not I don't know. One thing I do know: I was blind, now I see."
Joh 9:26 So they said to him, "What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?"
Joh 9:27 "I already told you," he answered, "and you didn't listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Maybe you too want to become his talmidim?"
Joh 9:28 Then they railed at him. "You may be his talmid," they said, "but we are talmidim of Moshe!
Joh 9:29 We know that Elohim has spoken to Moshe, but as for this fellow — we don't know where he's from!"
Joh 9:30 "What a strange thing," the man answered, "that you don't know where he's from — considering that he opened my eyes!
Joh 9:31 We know that Elohim doesn't listen to sinners; but if anyone fears Elohim and does his will, Elohim does listen to him.
Joh 9:32 In all history no one has ever heard of someone's opening the eyes of a man born blind.
Joh 9:33 If this man were not from Elohim, he couldn't do a thing!"
Joh 9:34 "Why, you mamzer!" they retorted, "Are you lecturing us?" And they threw him out.
Joh 9:35 Yahshua heard that they had thrown the man out. He found him and said, "Do you trust in the Son of Man?"
Joh 9:36 "Sir," he answered, "tell me who he is, so that I can trust in him."
Joh 9:37 Yahshua said to him, "You have seen him. In fact, he's the one speaking with you now."
Joh 9:38 "Adon, I trust!" he said, and he kneeled down in front of him.
Joh 9:39 Yahshua said, "It is to judge that I came into this world, so that those who do not see might see, and those who do see might become blind."
Joh 9:40 Some of the P'rushim nearby heard this and said to him, "So we're blind too, are we?"
Joh 9:41 Yahshua answered them, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin. But since you still say, 'We see,' your guilt remains.
Joh 10:1 "Yes, indeed! I tell you, the person who doesn't enter the sheep-pen through the door, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.
Joh 10:2 But the one who goes in through the gate is the sheep's own shepherd.
